My plants are producing but they berries are going moldy on the vine.
Not looking healthy at all, and I don't know why.

Lack of airflow. I once had several raised beds full of strawberries. They be loaded with berries every year, just start ripening, and then we'd get a few days of rain, and they'd all mold. In that case, it was the location... tucked on the southeast side of a barn, there just wasn't much airflow around them.

I replanted out in the open, and unless we got a monsoon week, didn't get any mold.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done at this point. Possibly snipping out some of the leaves to let more air in, or even setting up a fan? It spreads fast, sadly.

Aha! That is it! I have the container tucked up against the south side of the house.

Another idea is that here in the Southland (CA) we grow A LOT of strawberries and they grow them on the top of rows of small hills and water only in the valleys. This gets water to the roots but keeps the water away from the leaves and fruits. They use both plastic and straw as mulch to keep down the weeds and strips of black plastic to warm up the soil earlier in the season and then plant the strawberry starts through holes punched in the plastic.
