Special Upcoming TB2K Group Buys

For those of you who like to be planful in your prepping program, I want to provide a snapshot of upcoming TB2K special-price group buys, just in case it would be helpful to you.

Be aware that these plans are subject to change based on a number of factors, especially with regard to listed timeframes.

Those of you who have participated in previous buys of various prepping products this year know that we give TB2Kers the best possible deals we can give. In addition, each purchase here directly provides meaningful financial support to TB2K.

If you are anxious and don't care to wait for the group buy on any of these items, let me know. I MAY be able to get you the item pronto (though a couple of the items are not yet in stock at the distributor). Note that I always give special pricing to TB2Kers, whether as part of a group buy or not.

January:

Mountain House 18-can (variety of #10 cans) kit buy ... the same kit a whole lot of folks here have now in their storerooms. No more backorder issues! yippee! This will get going in the next few days.

ScramKit ChowHaul launch ... brand new product that has no peer ... the ChowHaul 14.2 is enough freeze-dried food and cooking/serving gear all in one bag to sustain two people for 14 days. The 7.2 will do the same for two people for 7 days. Now looking at a launch in a week to 10 days.

Sidewinder Cell Phone charger/Pak-Lite buys ... the Sidewinder is a very small hand-cranked cell phone charging unit at a surprisingly affordable price. The same company also makes very small LED light units that snap onto the end of 9V batteries ... used by the US Air Force. We'll be doing some package deals on these.

SWATSCOPE ... an economical and versatile Surveillance Zoom Periscope built for law enforcement and the military. This is about the coolest item I've seen in a while. I was approached by the distributor and asked to carry it. After much arm twisting, I gave in ;) . Should be able to give a good price on it to TB2Kers.

February/March:

Freeplay Weza buy concludes ... the end of February is when the N American Freeplay distributor says the long-awaited Weza manual generators will arrive from China. Those buyers who remain waiting patiently to be among the first anywhere with these units will get theirs as soon as they arrive. I will hopefully be able to offer a fresh buying opportunity on these thereafter.

Next ScramKit model ... we expect to be able to offer up a group buy on the next step-up in the ScramKit line. We will be assembling content ideas in the next few weeks. If anyone has any recommendations for the next kit's focus or content, let me or OddOne know. We'll see if we accommodate you. Be advised that we will be working with more space and less financial constraint on these next ScramKits. Take that to mean, we will be offering an array of some of the greatest survival/prep gear and gadgets we can find that make sense.

Body armor ... I have been meaning to do a body-armor buy for some time. I have not received a strong response from folks here, though, so have put it off. I do intend to get to it and allow for anyone interested to purchase brand new, made-to-order concealable kevlar body armor at a good discount. I may possibly also simultaneously offer special pricing on full acrylic-face-mask gas masks ... they are must-haves if you anticipate having to operate for any length of time in a contaminated environment as they provide unparallelled visibility and comfort.

Jetboils ... if you've looked into our ChowHauls, you know something about the Jetboils. They are tops for cooking/heating food fast out in the field. Small, lightweight, easy to carry and a snap to use. There are also coffee-making models and others that we will offer up.

That's what's cooking for the time being. I want to be able to get busy here again now with these buys after having to coast through the last couple of months waiting for previous buys to wrap up due to supply issues. To all of you who rode through that with us, thank you.

Afternoon JC!

Would you mind listing what is in your 18 - #10 can "kit?" TIA - Jesse.

Perhaps a dumb question, but where should I keep an eye on things so that I know when a group buy is being offered?

I do realize the mountain house group buy has a thread in general right now, but I was more or less wondering where else it might show up so I don't keep missing out on things.

I am interested in the body armor one I think, but I really need to educate myself a bit so I plan to start learning more about that stuff starting tonight.

Overall, thanks for the effort and I like seeing what all might be available since I can research things and see what I think.

Biere, these buys are announced/promoted via main board threads right here.

If you don't check in often and regularly, I'd suggest typing in "Mountain House" or whatever it is that interests you in "search." You'll quickly come up with the latest threads that apply.

JC, how to get on this deal?
TIA, c.

Colibree, I anticipate getting that Sidewinder/Paklite buy together in a couple or three weeks. I'll post a thread on the main board at that time giving details.

Just got a message from a good customer that we MAY be placing a volume order very soon for concealable body armor (Ranger IIIA). What that would mean is that we would bump the TB2K group buy window up to take advantage of the special pricing we'd be able to get.

If you're interested in that, stay tuned (and/or let me know with an email or PM).

A couple other updates ...

I just got my own SWATSCOPE and it is even cooler than I had imagined (the website doesn't do it justice). I have no problem at all promoting this item as being very worthwhile - as a tool, as a prepping resource, or as a "toy" to fool around with. Fact is, the quality of the product is excellent ... at a very affordable price (MSRP of $199). And even the aluminum carrying case is impressive. Anyway, this thing is going to be offered here soon for a good price before I start listing it in my store.

On the ScramKit ChowHauls, I need one last component to arrive and the tracking info says it will get here Thursday. So I hope to launch on Friday.
