Hello again folks. A quick solar update while we await signs of the anticipated incoming CME from October 28th. Solar activity declined to lower levels with only minor C-Flares detected around both AR 2887 and 2891. Both regions showed signs of decay during the past 24 hours, but should each remain a threat for C-Flares and perhaps an isolated moderate M-Flare.
A reminder that a Strong (G3) level geomagnetic storm watch is in effect this weekend. Aurora sky watchers should remain alert once it is dark outside.

We've probably all had friends and family tell us they plan to use our preps when/if TSHTF. Someone (I swear it's not me) once told me that they've taken to telling those wannabe disaster moochers by all means come, he could use the fresh meat. There's usually a pause before it sinks in.
As for watching the skies, take a moment to recall all the apocalypse movies that start out that way!

Yeah I actually used that line on one of those types of “friends” that I met on the street of a local downtown, and you should have seen her jaw drop! Then I asked her, “you have a husband right ?” She replied in the affirmative. Then I asked her again “you have a father right?” Again she replied yes.
