Actually, I learned to do things that I’m sure many took for granted because they already were well aware. I like it :p

Here we are, 15 months into the new software. I’m very interested in your thoughts on it as opposed to our old vb software. Pro or con, I want to hear it.
Need to have # of posts made by a member always displayed under each of their posts. (Yes, I know of the option to click on their posts and see that.) Need to be able to see who has who on Ignore.
. Easier now to post vids & pics (small only, big ones have to be done the old way).

Gotcha!!
I love this thing. Much easier to post pup pics and articles and search and everything else. All that hard work was worth it. Thanks.

Overall, it's been a good change especially the auto-formatting when dropping a random article in a post. The autosaving of unposted thread replies is sometimes good and sometimes extra work to delete the draft. Search works well.

In general, it seems to work fine, especially with the dark color theme. Whomever created that was a saint! Each time I go to the test forum for a carefully saved link, I'm reminded how bright the default color scheme is.

Please don't have test forum auto-delete threads after a certain amount of time. Once, I somehow managed to trick it to allow posting a youtube link without automatically opening and embedding it. I have that saved in an easy to find test forum post and use it occasionally.

There is the minor issue that the forum doesn't show full width on a widescreen monitor. The forum is just a wide strip down the center with large blank areas on the sides. The software can compensate for that, but it requires detecting screen width and dynamically adjusting the output width. It's not a big deal, it just requires more scrolling to move within a thread.
A reduced size example is attached; click to expand.

Search really works. Posting videos is a snap. Still can’t post photos from my phone. Miss printthread. Quoting is great. Overall, a great improvement.

It already does that. There are FOUR screen sizes that the developers coded for. I agree that there are wide borders on the PC format. However, those borders are reserved for “additional content” should I turn it on.

Love it, absolutely no problems. But "somebody" told me that if I did have problems, to blame Dennis.

OK, I get to be the complainer.

The way the new system handles some things I believe is leading to Poster's complacency.

I want to see the author name, the date the author published or released the article and a separate link to the article.

I archive 5-12 articles every day from all sources. Because of the way the new software handles (formats for display) this information I'm nearly always having to go back to the original source to get necessary info. Most often the original date & original link of the article.

Specifically the date of article and link are frequently not included in the article when it's copy and pasted to TB2K.

Date of Article (not date of posting to TB2K) is frequently left off, as is the link to the original article. The link is often not separate but imbedded in this type of (well I'm going to call it a) Publishers header.

If this is not important to you you wont have noticed what I'm saying.
Most people that I share with want the DATE, AUTHORS NAME, DIRECT LINK of anything I send them.....and I find I'm doing more more work to obtain fundamental info associated with articles.

Whats the fix?

Ensure the following, DATE, AUTHORS NAME, DIRECT LINK is on every article you post here.

When I post an article, I do it from reader mode. I copy everything that’s on the page. Often, reader mode omits the byline and the date. I have no idea why. But I’m not going to take the time to dig for them. If that’s a problem, take it up with the developers of the reader mode plugin for the Brave browser.

Everything that I have used works great. Absolutely, no complaints. Much faster response time than the older software. Good job. Thank you! Happy camper here.

Has it really been that long?! Geez. There have been very few problems beyond those first few weeks of working out the bugs and learning the new software on my side much of which was merely a learning curve. Still faster than fast even when we get swamped from "breaking news".

No problems here, except I’ve noticed when I’m replying to a post, if I then decide not to reply, there’s no “cancel” button. If I don’t backspace through what I have typed, then the next time I reply to a post, that text will still be there, and I’ll have to delete it then. I’m using an iPad or iPhone.

The little floppy disk icon just to the left of the gear lets you delete your draft. If, after clicking it, you immediately back out of the page, the draft is gone when you next go to reply.

Look in the toolbar, the floppy disc icon has a "delete draft" option.

Makes it go away.

I have read the thread and it doesn’t help. In my toolbar, there is nothing between the undo and redo icons, and the gear icon for advanced.

And please don’t yell at me.

Never mind. I tried out all the icons that I have in my toolbar, and figured it out. I thought I needed the floppy disc icon, as millwright said, which I don’t have. I can use the undo icon instead.

Tap the three dots (if there are three dots). I noticed that depending on screen size, certain functions are missing.

However, I’m on an iPad, an in either portrait or landscape mode all functions are present.

One thing I really love is the excellent search function. I know you paid more for the souped-up model and I for one appreciate it. So much better than the old one.
