strange, I really dont have any problems with anyone here, well I have one person on ignore, its easier to do that than argue, there is enough real stuff to be mad about, what someone posts online is way down the scale of anger.
but I do own a TV, 90 % of what I watch is 40 or more years old, right now Hang em High is starting, Clint Eastwood, then after 2 1/2 hours is The Quick And The Dead. a great evening of TV

This has been an increasing trend around here.
Thread drifts (fairly normal thing) turning into nasty exchanges with personal jabs.
It's going to stop.
I understand that there is a huge amount of tension in the world right now AND we tend to see most of it...in real time.
There have been several instances where the bickering has been directed to TIO. Some peeps seem to forget this.
We (staff) have enough crap going on in our own lives and don't need to be spending time babysitting a bunch of butt-hurt & sniping.
If you have an issue with someone, start a thread in TIO and send or post a link to whoever.
Failure to do this will result in the Bounce button being applied, with prejudice.
I haven't really noticed much of the listed issues but I don't see every thread or post so, while an admin would have a screen full in jig time, I wouldn't.
Guess I'll have to pay closer attention

So, at the risk of being obnoxious: Friends don't let friends (or lurkers) watch TV *programming*, listen to NPR, or expose their kids to Disney movies - at least not without a warning!

My Dad told me he was a millwright when I was a kid and I kind of understood that he was an industrial mechanic in a chemical plant and he would tell me at night about all the rough jobs he had to do to keep the plant running. I never had much mechanical ability so I respected his work and his place in life.
