I found a source when I redid that 29-4.
West, you need to check out the Vintage Sewing Center & Museum in Tulsa. He has parts too.
Dude has around 600 machines, several one of a kinds and such.
Pretty interesting cat, owns a tree service and jamb-up welding & fab skills.

Wow! THAT is a great deal! I have a couple machines I use, but am in the market for a Featherweight. I do have a working Wheeler and Wilson Machine #8 (1876) it its original cabinet/treadle that I have fun with; I want to also get a Janome treadle machine for use in that cabinet. There are a LOT of folks up here that use treadles in their cabins or boats or, like me, just want to have one for power outages ~ and the eventual collapse of society 
~ So Featherweights are quickly snatched up here. If you didn't get a manual for your machine, I'm sure you know that you can probably download one. I was very happy when I found my 1876 manual online.

The Featherweight 221s don't adapt to a treadle cabinet, at least from what I saw on these.
There may be another model that does.

The wife can even free motion quilt on hers. Small things though, and some mods.
Probably the best portable machine ever made for what it does.
Our 201- 1 heavy duty is a real work horse too. And much easier to free motion quilt as well.
The bad....
The wife now wants a full size long arm, and I would need to add a room on to the house.....
If someone would loan us $25k the wife says she'll pay you back in doing all of your quilting.

wowwee! what a good son! very nice.
West found me a 201-B (B for behemoth) portable (lol) for $25 (IIRC it's a 1948 as well). it's really my favorite machine, real workhorse, but i gave up trying to move it from the floor to the table, so until someone moves it back to the table for me i'll use one of the featherweights. as a side note, those featherweights will run AC/DC.

It's amazing how these old machines just keep on working and working good. Granted the new machines do more stuff and what not, but even with maintance when they brake down, its often cheaper to buy new...or buy a old jem like a featherweight, keep them maintenance and clean and they just run and run.....
