you need to add some punctuation . . . like some dots or something . . . maybe
those dots make you seem more pensive...really they do...you might try an ellipsis occasionally...or even an aposiopesis...just to leave them doubting their own erudition...

I see what you've done here and it is a sight for sore eyes, and definitely a welcome addition to this site, and one that will undoubtedly find itself cited often as we move forward.

But, I still don't get passed and past. Whittling, for instance is a past time that is employed as a pass time? I just don't understand. I also don't whittle. I might, if only I could lay this issue aside and let it lie. . . :hmm:

Yet another spelling natsee rant. Lately, it seems that folks don’t understand the difference in these words. So for the sake of my personal sanity (sigh) allow me to assist:

SIGHT: That sure was a sight to see. Let’s go take in the sights later. That gunsight just won’t zero.
""
SITE: That’s the wrong site for that building. I’ll be on-site next week.

CITE: I need you to cite the source of that quote.

Please at least TRY to use them correctly. Please?

Thank yooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuu
I am pretty good at spelling and words. It bothers me when people can't use correct English. Like this guy texts me and he says this: "I like it to......." instead of saying: "I like it too." He's gone now. Too ignorant.

In times past, it was useful to have a pastime to help pass time.

These are mainly grade school problems. A number of people had the flu or measles when these concepts were taught and never learned them.

Another one similar to passed and past, is a mashup of the two. I've seen people post that someone "pasted away"....and I know it's terrible to get a giggle out of that but my mental image is of someone with a tub of Elmer's and a wooden ice cream spoon, chowing down.

Dennis I feel your pain. I can't stand bad grammar. The one that actually makes me cringe is when someone says "I seen".
