This raises two questions for me.

First, why did Crooks have that money when he would have done the shooting for free? Ever hear of one of these supposed nutcases with a stash like that? Where did that money come from, and who was running him? What was that money intended to accomplish? Did he or his handlers think he'd live long enough to use any of it, and what was the end game he/they had in mind?

Second, why is this information being released at all? If it was one of our intel agencies running him, it tells us they aren't talking to another agency that discovered this loot. Or is this all theater intended to focus attention on one of our agencies through continuing trickle of information, perhaps to take the real heat off another? Or is this money story an entirely bogus tale?

I think the money simply supplies what they think the public would expect or believe. If he had done it for free people would wonder about the family and their influence on the kid. If he (appears to) has money from an outside source then the family is off the hook, so to speak. They can be as surprised as everyone else.

I'm considering the possibility that this might really have been a one man show, and stuff like this is a ruse to cover the massive failures of the Secret Service. They are so focused on covering their asses and the incompetence of senior management that they are leaking and setting up stuff like this. Granted that this opinion is influenced by Dan Bongino and the stuff he has shared over the weeks since the shooting. But this is just one of the scenarios that I'm mulling over.

Just that tiny snippet... "muzzle flash" is white, not red, and through a closed window. I guess some folks have never seen a reflection of sunlight on a window.

It was not body-cam footage, it's from a portion of Dave Stewart's cell phone video. And that window is on the ground floor and does not "oversee" a roof.

That’s not the location I was seeing on the last video released. The figure I saw in the shadow on the roof. He was far to the left as Crooks was running to the right side.

I wasn't talking about that-I was specifically addressing the "information" about the window in the picture/snippet I posted from that one "news" site.

I too saw what might have been a figure on the left side of the roof in the video you refer to from the PBD video. Key word is "might". At that distance/magnification/illumination, there's no way to be certain. And regardless of what you see Abby do on NCIS, you can't clarify a picture by "adding" resolution. That's adding information that isn't there to begin with.

Are you kidding me - one man show??? There is ample evidence that many saw and knew someone was on the roof in the most obvious of spots. I believe many people were involved and many levels such as police and FBI

The repercussions of the actual truth coming out about something of this magnitude are such that the planning and set up is likely a fairly small group so as to guarantee the truth is never publicly known. I suspect that the plan itself included assigning inexperienced and essentially incompetent people to be in charge, understaffing the actual SS part of the team, including people from other agencies for whom this is not the kind of assignment that they have any expertise with, and having disparate groups that didn't have the ability to communicate with each other. In a nutshell orchestrating having useful idiots on the ground knowing that the team on site would screw up. Instead of sending the A team to protect Trump, they orchestrate have the C or D team there.
