The comedian took the stage at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday in what was Netflix’s first live-streaming event — “Selective Outrage” — and, nearly a year after Smith ordered him to “keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth!”, landed blow after blow after hysterical blow against Smith, his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and the truth about who instigated the entire shocking scene.
The Grammy Award-winning artist waited until the end of his set before likening Smith to former rapper Suge Knight, who is serving 28 years in the slammer after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the 2015 death of Terry Carter.
“You all know what happened to me, getting smacked by Suge Smith,” Rock began. “Everybody knows! Everybody f—— knows! Yes, it happened. I got smacked. A year ago, I got slapped at the f—— Oscars by this motherf—— and people are like, ‘Did it hurt?'”
“It still hurts!” he exclaimed. “I got ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ear! But I’m not a victim. You will never see me on Oprah or Gayle, crying.”
“No,” he vowed, “it’s never gonna happen. No. F— that s—., I took that hit like Pacquiao motherf—–!”
Smith, Rock noted, had a distinct advantage in the scrap.
“Will Smith is significantly bigger than me,” he explained. “We are not the same size.”
“This guy does his movies with his shirt off!” he stated. “You’ve never seen me do a movie with my shirt off. If I’m in a movie getting open-heart surgery, I got on a sweater.”
Smith, Rock reminded viewers, has some experience with stinging like a bee.
“Will Smith played Muhammed Ali in a movie,” Rock said. “You think I auditioned for that part? I played Pookie in ‘New Jack City.’ I played a piece of corn in ‘Pootie Tang’…even in animation, he’s bigger. I’m a zebra, he’s a shark.”
Perhaps. But that zebra has a hell of a bite.
Rock said out loud “what everybody knows” about Smith’s relationship with Jada.
“And for people who don’t know what everybody knows — Will Smith, his wife was f—— her son’s friend,” Rock stated.
It’s something “everybody knows,” because Jada brought her cucked husband on her podcast “Red Table Talk” and interviewed him about it.
“We all been cheated on,” Rock said. “Everybody have been cheated on. None of us have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television.”
“She hurt him way more than he hurt me,” he added.
And after that interview, people were not kind to Smith.
“Everybody in the world called him a b—-,” Rock recalled. “I tried to call the motherf—– and give him my condolences; he ain’t pick up for me. Everybody called that man a b—-, f—— Charlamagne [tha God] called him a b—-, ‘The Breakfast Club’ called him a b—– and ‘The View’ and ‘The Talk,’ and every rapper, they called him a b—-, his wife a predator, everybody called him a b—-.”
“Everybody! Everybody!” he exclaimed. “And who does he hit? Me!”
It turns out, the bad blood between Rock and Jada goes all the way back to 2015, when Rock says Jada told him he shouldn’t host the Oscars because Smith wasn’t nominated for “Concussion.”
“So did I do some jokes about it, who gives a f—?” Rock said. “That’s how it is. She starts it, I finish it. That’s what the f— happened. Nobody’s picking on this b—-. She started this s—.”
Jada, Rock continued, told him he should “quit his job” because her hubby didn’t get an Oscar nod for “Concussion.”
“And then this n—- gives me a concussion,” he said.
Finally, Rock explained why he didn’t return Smith’s slap that night.
The comedian said it comes down to how he was raised.
“A lot of people go, ‘Chris, how come you didn’t do, nothing back?’ ‘How come he didn’t do nothing back that night?'” Rock said. “Because I’ve got parents. That’s why. Because I was raised.”
