Sen. Rand Paul rips Fauci as 'unconcerned with liberty,' 'not being honest with the American public'

White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci "is not being honest with the American public" about when to wear masks, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Friday.

Paul joined host Tucker Carlson one day after the senator challenged Fauci to present hard evidence that people should wear face masks even after receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

At one point, Paul called Fauci's double-masking "theater", which visibly annoyed the immunologist.

"Here we go again with the 'theater'," Fauci fumed. "Let's get down to the facts."

Paul told Carlson Friday that Fauci presented "no scientific evidence" to make the case for wearing masks after people have been vaccinated.

"There was Dr. Fauci's opinion, his conjecture that someday there might be a [coronavirus] variant that escapes the control of the vaccine and becomes a pandemic and hospitalizes and kills people," he said. "But there is no evidence it has happened. He thinks it might happen, so you need to wear the mask until he's sure that things that might happen are not going to happen."

Paul went on to describe Fauci as "unconcerned about liberty", adding that the burden should be on him and other bureaucrats to prove their dictates and recommendations are necessary.

"There are no news reports or scientific studies saying, after vaccination, that there is some sort of widespread contagion that people [who are] vaccinated are spreading the disease," he said.

"What Fauci won't tell you is he is telling you a 'noble lie'. He is lying because he doesn't think we are smart enough to make decisions," Paul continued. "His fear is, if we quit wearing masks, the vaccinated [people] will say 'What the hell, I'm not wearing a mask either.'

Paul concluded by reiterating that the burden of proof falls on the government and health officials in cases where personal freedoms will be abridged.

"I shouldn't have to prove I want to be free and left alone," he said. "I want to breathe the air."

A bit off topic but perhaps indicative of a change?

One of the Fox news hosts, Steve Hinton? referred to the Biden "regime" not administration. This implies it is not legitimate. He used this term more once, so not likely a slip of the tongue.

They can smell the lie is collapsing.

Fair use cited so on and so forth.

It may be time to relax indoor face mask mandates, Fauci says

Dr. Anthony Fauci says federal guidance on wearing face coverings indoors may change soon.

Sunday on ABC News, Fauci was asked whether it's time to start relaxing indoor masks requirements. Fauci replied, "I think so, and I think you're going to probably be seeing that as we go along, and as more people get vaccinated."

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be updating its guidance almost in real time, as more Americans get vaccinated, said Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

The CDC relaxed its guidance last month on wearing masks outdoors, but still advises both vaccinated and unvaccinated people to still wear masks in indoor public spaces, such as a mall, movie theater or museum.

"We do need to start being more liberal, as we get more people vaccinated," he added.

Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, said face mask requirements should be relaxed now that the Covid-19 risk is dropping.

"Certainly outdoors, we shouldn't be putting limits on gatherings anymore," Gottlieb said. "The states where prevalence is low, vaccination rates are high, and we have good testing in place, we're identifying infections, I think we could start lifting these restrictions indoors as well, on a broad basis."

Lifting pandemic restrictions when they are no longer necessary will make it easier for public health officials to reimplement them if cases rise again, such as a potential winter surge, Gottlieb said.

Senator Paul is a Doctor not a lawyer. A good lawyer could tear Fauci down and if there is a thorough investigation enough evidence is out there for the NIH and WHO and probably even the CDC to be connected to funding the Wuhan lab. In my opinion.

INDEED . . . there is a recent video here - the name of which I do not recall - that outlines in crystal clear relief how carefully the connections between these people and organizations were crafted so as to blur/obscure the relationships. the video referenced an organization that researched tax fraud in a quite specific and unusual way.

there are MULTIPLE people and organizations that should be taken down for this CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY, not the lease of whom are Faucci, Gates and the ASSklown out of UNC Chappel Hill - Ralph Baric PhD

Interesting interview I caught yesterday on the Hannity Show with Rand Paul explaining Gain of Function Research and Fauci's involvement.

Senator and Dr. Rand Paul, of Kentucky, questioned the illustrious Dr. Fauci during the Senate Help Hearing on Tuesday. Fauci refused to admit that the NIH was in bed with the Wuhan lab that created the COVID-19 virus. Unfortunately for Fauci there is a paper trail and evidence showing that the NIH did just that.

I tried to just find the 15min clip of the interview but couldn't.

The segment starts at the 37min mark and ends at the 52min mark of the 1:40min podcast below.
