Veg Seed Potatoes

Selected Robinta seed potatoes this morning now that the potatoes have all dried off. For an approximately 8x4 raised bed about 25 pieces are needed, so I selected 54 small but not tiny whole potatoes. Usually lose one or two over the winter (they become icky). Potatoes are stored in a paper bag in the back of one of the refrigerator drawers, well marked so they don't get eaten!
In March they will be put in the basement, spread on a tray or tote top to chit, which means to allow growing buds to form, speeding up growth when planted.
The garlic is all in the ground, and the new strawberry bed is looking good, with lots of runners coming from healthy looking rosettes of leaves.
Do you grow your own seed potatoes? How are your preparations for winter, and next spring coming along?
Gardening makes me happy!
