Makes me so mad. If you want to take those kind of risks fine, but don't bring them home. Bet she flew into Sea Tac and potentially infected many folks. People are so selfish. This brings our lock down time into the very soon time frame.

Seattle area? What is that? Seattle area is spread all over the place and could be anywhere. Just Ugh! :sb::sb:

And she probably flew through JFK or some other airport.

I heard very early this morning on Q13 the local FOX channel in Seattle that there were more than one nurse with a suspected cast of Ebola. The number I heard was more like 5.

The news stations must have scrubbed that number!

Upon hearing the numbers of nurses they said, thinking "WTF?" at the time. V

Profanity.

All I have for this fuster cluck is profanity.

Who in the blazing blue F#$k thinks it's a good idea to allow particularly at-risk people back into the country without a pre-flight quarantine period?!?!??!

GAAAAH!

Now I have to be on the lookout for an outbreak just a few dozen miles from home.

FBHO and the Centers for Disease Circulation.

Here is a link that another member sent me about the report from our Fox affiliate Q13. http://q13fox.com/2014/10/22/report...or-ebola-as-precaution-but-shows-no-symptoms/

It states that Two area nurses here are 'self-monitoring' which is maybe the PC way of saying the scary word 'quarantine'.

I heard if was more than two from what the news anchors said in the wee hours of this morning. More like 3-5.

*Fair Use for eductional purposes*

"SEATTLE — Two area nurses who returned from treating Ebola patients in Africa are being monitored, two reports show. Neither is showing no symptoms, but is voluntarily restricting their movements to minimize any possible risk to others, the Seattle Times reported and La Conner Weekly reported.

Under new federal CDC guidelines, health care workers returning from West Africa who are not sick will not be confined, but will be instructed to report their temperatures and presence or absence of any Ebola symptoms, including headaches, weakness, diarrhea, vomiting or lack of appetite." V

FBHO and the Centers for Disease Circulation.

It's their 'naive arrogance', stupidity and self-centeredness that makes them think they can come home with a possible case of Ebola.

Just like Duncan, they knew they were in an area of Great exposure but they only thought of themselves. Wanting to come home to see if they had a better chance of survival and screw everyone else who may have been in the plane, airports and airport restrooms.

Pisses me off!

I should have been on a direct flight right now on Southwest (they do this during the cruise ship season) from Seatac to Nashville but my husband and I knew that there would be assholes like this out flying around so we cancelled the trip last saturday Thank God!

He's upset that we won't be able to see his mom but she didn't want us traveling either but we also have a *knowing* that we just may have 'dodged a bullet' as they say and this report of the nurses traveling without a care for others (truly selfless of them huh?) only validates our decision!

And a big Thank You to Resq'd for your most powerful prayers! The moment you started in on the prayers, my husband unknowing of this, came down from his Man Room last saturday and announced out of the blue, "We're not going to Nashville and here's why!" This was totaly against his nature, not like him to do this and I was so overjoyed!

Thank you God and Resq'd! Phew! V

Before the CDC published their official list, a first hand person account that there was an American nurse returning from West Africa with her family, taken to a NJ hospital with symptoms. No word on results, release, name, where, to confirm what happened? Maybe they flew into NJ, were identified, but were from another state? I couldn't find a match with the date and family reference.

I just returned from San Antonio. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Some people are joking about the ebola issue while most seem to be watching with caution.

Last week as I was driving to the Providence airport, I listened to a radio discussion. It seems that Rhode Island has the largest population of Liberians in Amerika. They offer free stuff... driving licenses, food, housing, etc... and draw them in. People are pissed off with the fascist/ socialist government.

These do-gooders go to Africa to relieve their white man's burden and expect others to pay for it. Very uncaring of them to come home with potentially deadly disease.

More people in U.S. being watched for Ebola symptoms

October 23, 2014, 6:07 AM

As many as ten people in the Seattle area and Connecticut, many of whom arrived recently from West Africa, are the latest in the United States being watched for Ebola symptoms.

So far, none of them has displayed any signs of the deadly virus, authorities and reports say.

The Seattle Times reports, and CBS Seattle affiliate KIRO-TV confirms, that a nurse in the Seattle area is being monitored and is voluntarily restricting her movements to minimize any possible risk to others.

Dr. Jeff Duchin, communicable-disease chief for Public Health -- Seattle King-County, told the newspaper the nurse came back to the U.S. from Africa, where she had treated patients with Ebola.

She will be monitored through the disease's 21-day incubation period, the newspaper says.

In West Haven, Connecticut, health officials have quarantined a family of six, all of whose members arrived in the U.S. on Oct. 18 from one of the Ebola-affected countries in West Africa, Mayor Edward M. O'Brien's office says.

All are staying with friends and have been quarantined as a precaution, West Haven Health Director Maureen B. Lillis adds.

The 21-day quarantine is being supervised by the West Haven Police Department.

The mayor's office says they're being watched to comply with an Oct. 7 order by Gov. Dannel Malloy in which he declared a public health emergency in the state.

The New York Times quotes a spokesman for Connecticut's Public Health Department, William Gerrish, as saying three Yale University students are also being monitored and have been told to stay home.

Officials told the newspaper the quarantining of all nine was voluntary, and none had objected to it.

Under a new policy announced Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, all travelers who come into the U.S. from three Ebola-stricken West African nations will be monitored for three weeks. It's the latest step by federal officials to keep the disease from spreading into the U.S.

Starting on Monday, anyone traveling from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone will have to report in with health officials daily and take their temperature twice a day.

The measure applies not only to visitors from those countries but also returning American aid workers, federal health employees and journalists.

The virus has killed more than 4,800 people in West Africa, nearly all in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

This one matches with the date and description I was given but was told that she flew into NJ and was taken to a hospital with symptoms? If it is her, maybe those symptoms were not found to be related enough to Ebola for testing and she is from CT? I have no clue? We hear about suspected arrivals but then it is hard to match them to official reports.

I hope they were not at the same place as the doctor from Harlem who is now occupying the hospital in NY!

WA state is mostly 'dominated' by libcoms, greenies and Birkenstock sorts in a population center; King county. The rest of the state, with the exception of Spokane and a few larger cities on the coast is quite conservative, though the influx of leftist kommiefornians have made some headway, buying up the nicest properties and working to change the politics. So far they have not been successful, I'm waiting for a real harsh winter to chase them out.

Can't believe these asshats are going to Africa to do their good deeds, then come prancing back to possibly infect tens of thousands of Americans with a disease that has a kill rate of 70%, sad that we on TB seem to know more about it than they do, but that is American "medicine" for you. It's patently obvious they have incredibly poor judgment and probably did more harm than good in Africa. (sarcasm...sort of)
