Sewing Seam guide

My very first effective seam guide was a sticker that went out from the needle plate to 4 inches. Well that puppy has been beaten up and worn away over the years. I quickly discovered that you can't find them anymore. I did find one source so I ordered two, although I quickly realized that I would need more for my machines (two convert to free arm).
Well, when they got here I found out that the measurements were inaccurate, and they got more inaccurate the further out from the needle plate. So I sat down and did what I should have done in the first place and created the graphic. I have clear full page stickers so that is what I am printing on.
This graphic is actually smaller than an 8.5 x 11 page. That is so that it will print to 100% size on one sheet when centered horizontally and vertically with margins minimalized. One trick already learned - if you have a machine that converts to free arm, remove the extra plate and do the free arm section as one complete wrap from back edge to down and around the front. Then use a razor to careful cut the needle plate/bobbin access edges away. After that put the plate/tray/whatever back and put the stick on those sections. You will have to measure for yourself where to cut the rectangle for the feed dogs and needle. The hard red lines are 5/8 inch out from either side of the black line that is the needle line.
Please don't share this to the whole wide world. But I thought it might help a few on here. I'm still working on it and will probably put the final version up on my blog in a few weeks.

Very cool! I'm itching to get my sewing room set up, but the gardens come first. Soon...

Summerthyme
I'm having to balance activities. But I managed to walk a half mile today (and not be worn out). And reclear a garden bed to plant with squash and cucs tomorrow. And do an unplanned, short notice trip to town with a trip to Sam's Club. And fight the crowds to fill the gas tank. Oh, and get a bit of work done. And make the graphic.
So making some mods to my sewing machines is happening.
