Well definitely on the backside of this thing now. Really just looked like a cloudy day. We did have some cloud cover come in for a bit but could still see what was going on. On the good side I guess life as we know it seems to be continuing. The Latino neighbors are running yard tools and playing music, cars are zipping up and down the road and all seems normal. The rooster did start crowing when it was the darkest. He’s been quiet all day and is now quiet again

Owner uses a No. 5 for gas welding. Small things done with the MIG he uses a No. 10. For full bore AC welding he uses a No. 11.

The AC welder is VERY bright. Owner says "lots of flash." He has a curtain he uses around his welding area so I can't see it.

On one of his jobs as an engineer, he was in a shop where someone else was welding - and they had the yellow hanging shields, but he was situated where he could see the reflection "off the walls" - for the entire day. He says he got a headache from that.

The next day he wore the No. 5 glasses to work.

well,i,once again,was 100% right on my prediction-NOTHING HAPPENED!
and it never will.

The problem is that people expect God to act according to their beliefs and timelines, not according to His will, etc. *IT* is coming but it will not be according to what people expect/want to happen, nor when they are actively watching. Not the day nor the hour and all that.

I have to admit in all honesty that I haven't seen/heard any reports of New Madrid-size quakes, or large aircraft doing odd things along the eclipse line, or of any terrorist attacks at watch sites. Of course I might be missing something.

I was all keyed up. Bummer.

Shortly after Y2K I heard from someone who was all atwitter over it to the point that they claimed they were actually sitting in their garage wearing their tactical vest, loaded 12 ga and shell sling across their lap at the stroke of midnight. I believe they said they stayed that way for at least 2 hours before deciding maybe the world wasn't going to end with a bang and a sizzle.

Had we had more advance notice for this event I am pretty sure we would have seen a lot of the same type of reaction for today.

So I was just trying to find some news on how many tourists went to Arkansas but only see the old stories about SHS releasing 100,000 from the State emergency fund. If I was her I would be embarrassed to go out in public because of that hair on fire reaction but that's just me. I still find it hard to believe they got that hysterical.
