Last month I posted about making sourdough and some here wanted more info and a recipe, which I promised to post after more practice. I posted it on my blog a couple of weeks ago. I was waiting to post here until I had enough starter to offer anyone who wants to give it a try.

Click here to be taken to the blog post with the recipe. If you have questions, post them on the blog preferably, but if you can’t (Blogger is a bit aggravating to use when it comes to posting comments), post them here.

If you want a start, send me a PM, and I will reply with my address. Then send me a self-addressed stamped envelope and I will return it with about a tablespoon of dried starter. The dried starter will need to be rehydrated and fed for a day or two before starting to make sourdough bread.

Schoolmarm, thank you so much for your offer. I have all 3 of your books on Kindle and print. I will request your starter when I am sure I have the procedure down, pat. I don't want to waste your efforts. I killed water kiffir, twice. I won't do that to you. I know sourdough bread is so much better for our systems. Promise to be in touch. I'm an avid reader of your blog. I visit every day. Thank you so much for all you do.

I can send you extra. Not that many people have requested it, so I have plenty. I, too, worry about killing my starter, so I've already dehydrated and stored quite a bit for just such a problem.
