how to make your own small batch of cannabis oil.

making oil is something i have wanted to do but put off as too complicated, especially with my limited eyesight. it was too intimidating to me.

i just watched a short vid on youtube by a doctor on how to make your own small batch, giving about 3-4 gms from one ounce dried material. i was truly impressed at how easy it was, simple step byt step instructions. you can make it at home in your kitchen with a double boiler, everclear and a stainless steel pan to put on top of the double boiler.

for me, this was no harder than regular kitchen stuff.

here is the link if anyone wants to watch, they did a real good job.

before someone tells me how dangerous this is and im crazy---please watch the full video.

i am surprised there is no interest in making your own oil safely and easily. it realy was easy.

i have tried the paste recipe whihc many are saying is comparable if not better than the oil and that recipe was even easier tho it took longer from start to finish.

for cancer, epilepsy, shrink tumors, MS, amazing woek it is doing.

That's the best full plant extraction method you can do. I would suggest getting some dry ice. Freeze your material for 24hrs. Deep freeze will isolate the chlorophyll and lipids. Your material will come out lighter in color. You will concentrate the cannabinoids and you will remove the chlorophyll, all winning. Make sure to thoroughly decarboxylate your final.product.
Combine with coconut oil or flax seed oil and lecithin. You want your liver to slow down and process all the oil. Both methods allow the body to do this.

I am.completly convinced cannabis essential oil in a full plant extract will cure everything but trauma.

K! your back! missed ya, how are you doing?

i have heard about freezing but have not tried it. i will certainly do that for my next batch and follow your directions. i need to find some small containers for the oil, maybe a lip balm jar or something like that. what do you use?

today i was very proud of myself. i made a batch of green dragon tincture all by myself. because my eyesight is so limited i usually have someone help me but this time i had gathered up all my stuff, followed the steps, did the double boiler on a real good hot plate instead of my gas stove to be extra safe, got my special for- the- blind- people thermometer and finished the project. i use this to supplement my original tincture. still experimenting and learning what works best for me.

as more states make it legal medically i hope more folks get interested in making their own instead of buying it from some dispensary. if a half blind old lady can do it anyone can.

Get yourself some amber glass bottles. The uv light degrades the oils.

Here's your next process.

Clear out you freezer so you have some working room.
Get about 5-10 lbs of dry ice.
Get a grease filter (not a coffee filter). They come with a nice cage and will fit on top of a gallon bucket. The filter looks like a giant cone.
Freeze your 190proof alcohol (moonshine or everclear)
Freeze your plant material
Freeze the filters
Place the dry ice and all.th3 components in freezer for 24 hours.

After 24 hours it will be ready. Place the plant material in filter and pour alcohol Into filter. Place back in freezer and let filter for 12 hours.
Take the alcohol oil mixture and get a beaker, candy thermometer, an a heat pad. Take the mixture to 174 degrees f, and let it mix until alcohol is evaporated.

That will give you the best profile for the oil. You can add that to coconut oil and put it in capsules. And you can reconstitute the oil back I to some 190proof alcohol. That will give you your topical.tincture. it really is easy.

The subcritical.freezing isolates the chlorophyll, and the etoh brings out all the best in the plant
Good luck

Oh yeah, use warm gloves, haha

You want to use the whole plant.
Grind up.to a fine powder before freezing
I use a ratio of 300 grams of plant material to one gallon of alcohol

I also do the filtering process three times. I just keep.using the original alcohol oil mix from the first pour. Three washes will capture everything In the 300grams

just adding an update----

on 7/15 i had a mammogram and they found a 'mass' as they like to say. a week later i went back for a detailed mammogram and a sonogram and then a biopsy.

report came back as positive for ductal carcinoma with invasive components. meaning they found cancer and it started to spread. i was scheduled to see a breast surgeon and oncologist right away to discuss treatment and surgery.

on 7/15 the tests showed a tumor around 11mm. not big and i was told i was stage one and that they were going to operate taking out a section the size of a fist and my sentinal nodes to see if the cancer had spread there yet..

surgery was set for 8/10 so i made a plan. i started increasing the cannabis hoping it would help slow or stop or shrink the tumor. i was using the whole paste vs the oil, just my preferences for getting all the CBDs and the whole plant materiel instead of throwing it away after extracting the oil---there is still good stuff in there..

paste is still a rather new product, i had ready some of the early testing showing it worked as good as the oil. the suggested cancer dose was 2.5gms a day. i was unsure of this suggested potency so i slowly increased getting up to 8-9gms a day. as i did it slowly i did not have any problems, tho it sometimes made me sleepy if i did not eat enough food prior to taking the capsules, and i found i was sleeping really good, all fibro pain disappeared and the troublesome dizzy spells i had been enduring disappeared too. cool side benefits.

so surgery day came and the tests prior to surgery, showed the tumor had shrunk from 11mm to 8mm in 3 weeks. they did not have to take out a section the size of a fist but they cut out an amount the size of a walnut. i did not know this until after surgery but was very glad--it means the cannabis was Doing Something.

fantastic--less breast tissue destruction and scars. the final pathology report said no cancer in lymphs or anywhere else, i was cancer free. the drs had no opinion on the shrinking tumor. they are not in favor of or informed of any alternative treatments but i had told both the surgeon and oncologist i was taking cannabis to help. all they said was to stop taking it prior to surgery which i did but when i got home i started up the same dose again and found i did not really need the pain pills anymore. another nice benefit. 2 days after surgery i stopped all pain pills and just took some cannabis capsules 4 times a day.

im thinking it took me maybe 2 weeks to slowly increase the cannabis capsules to get up to the 8gms, and about one week of taking that dose before i had to stop for surgery.

i am convinced the cannabis shrunk my tumor and if i had more time would have done more work. can i prove it scientifically? no. i am also using a pure cannabis /coconut oil salve on the incisions for healing and to help with the pain. it is actually quite soothing and does seem to reduce the pain awhile..

their plan is for me to take a series of radiation treatments for 3 weeks, assess where i am and take more or take some pills for 5 years.

my friend pete, 58, just died of cancer. he did all the doctors told him to do, took all the chemo and rounds of radiation. he went from his diagnosis in feb of one tumor on his kidney to 50 tumors oct 14 at the time of his death. in my opinion the chemo and radiation killed him.

i had offered him some cannabis oil to use in the beginning but he declined, saying he feared if his drs found out or insurance he would lose his coverage. (not legal where he lived) he made his decision. i got mad at him for not trying but i had to respect his decision. now he is dead and i miss him.

i am extremely happy to hear the cancer has not spread in my body, that the surgery was successful with good margins and i will continue to take the cannabis. i have decided to not take the radiation or drugs they offer.. my goal is to not end up like pete. i will deal with this my way.

i hope this helps someone do some research on their own about cannabis and cancer or other things cannabis helps with and then tries it. i feel that i am lucky in that it is legal for me to grow up to 6 plants so i dont have to try to buy and can make my own medicine.

so happy to hear of the outcome of your surgery, Jazzy! While I don't use cannabis in any form (don't feel like I need it, and it would cost me a lot, including my job), I am glad it is available and legal in CO and several other states.

hi moldy, how are you?

yes, i am glad it is legal in my state and slowly advancing to others. i never was a pot smoker and basically ignored it all my life til finding out about its medical properties. i am hoping it can become legal in all states for medical purposes. taking cannabis involves personal responsibility, one has to do some research and studying and become informed.

at least in CO i am allowed to grow 6 plants. from this i make the paste or oil capsules, tinctures and salves. the more people learn the better off they will be.

So true. I grow some of my own: lemon balm, peppermint, yarrow, horehound, comfrey, thyme, dill, chamomile. I want to grow more and learn more. IMO, buying herbs online makes you too dependent on others and you never truly know what you are getting. I've thought about growing cannabis, but what would I do with it? I can't sell it or use it - so I'll wait on that little endeavor.

And I'm good, Jazzy. Thanks for asking

moldy, that is super. i also grow those items, have you tried growing arnica? i have a large stand of it i need to thin out if you want some roots. hops are great too, the flower buds make a very nice tincture, a few drops before bed sure helps with sleep.

the cannabis, well, it has a lot of uses, the simplest would be a pain salve or oil. works really well. you can use coconut oil and make it in a crock pot, nice and simple.

i have alot of stitches on my breast and under my arm after the surgery and i gently rub in cannabis salve made with coconut oil to help with the pain and tenderness, it certainly helps.
