Personally I wish restaurants would raise the price and pay the employees and forget tipping. Mainly I have to study societal rules for who to tip and how much. How do you tip the hotel maid?

Some receipts suggest a percentage tip range. Some include tax some don't. I use the calculator.

We never eat at restaurants anyway. Who can afford to in this day and age? For a $50 meal we can buy food to make several meals at home. A friend took us out to eat a few months ago, our first time eating out in over two years, and treated us. The food was awful and overpriced. I know there are people who eat out regularly, but this seems like restaurant suicide to me. Let them charge that fee, I say. Let them cater to those who have the disposable income to waste that kind of money. The rest of us who are wiser could care less.

Agree 100% on all. Restaurants just make me mad. I can make just about anything better at home for a whole lot cheaper. And I can feed a lot more people.

About the only "chain" resturant I go to is TEXAS ROADHOUSE. Not very often. Mostly for the onion. Love those things and especially their sauce. Cant afford Outback Steakhouse.

Last time I went to Outback, everything was undercooked and tasted like an ashtray smells. I actually sent my plate back a couple of times. I NEVER send my plate back as a rule so you know it was awful....

Wow, anyone who has ever worked in the service industry knows that blacks are the worst tippers!

That‘s if they even tip at all! A server getting a table filled with them has usually just drawn the short straw.

THIS … seen it with my own eyes more than once. Negroids are arrogant, loud, demanding, whining patrons to restaurants. If they tip … it will suck. I’ve had the displeasure of sitting next to tables of them. Wanted to leave every time. You can’t enjoy your meal listening to there nonsense.

The food joints don't have to pay below minimum when tips are involved. I'm pretty sure the law doesn't penalize the business if you pay more. If they make more than the folks in the kitchen so be it. They don't have to deal with customers and put up with their crap.

Any restaurant that pays waitstaff $15 or more per hour, I will not tip. I’ve said that for years.
