…… Red Text Titles

Asked this question previously but the answers didn't work or I just don't get it. I don't want my post titles in red but can't figure out how to change it to black or to make it bold. All the options for editing (at least for me) apply only to message body text. Even tried inserting HTML text for bold and black into the title text - it displayed as the codes not the effect. Not being able to do this little thing is driving me crazy.

Some basics for you...

The board software controls the look...not you.

And the formatting of the titles is all about YOU!

NEW THREADS that YOU have NOT READ are BOLD BLACK for a period of time...15 to 30 minutes I think it is.

If you have read the thread and someone posts a new post to that thread, the title is now BOLD RED.

Posts that YOU have read, including posts that YOU yourself POST, will not be bold but in RED...that is the board's default "followed link" color.

Posts that YOU have NOT read but are OLDER than 15-30 minutes are in non-bold black.

Kris

P.S. Here is how it BENEFITS you...

BOLD TITLES are new threads or threads with new posts that YOU have NOT read...EASY TO SPOT.

Red titles anywhere BOLD or otherwise are threads that YOU looked at at least once...makes it easy to find threads YOU have already READ and are possibly interested in following...and it helps you find YOUR OWN THREADS.

Thanks I think

This isn't what another poster told me, that's why I kept trying. You explained it very well so now I get it. Thanks.
