CHAT Rating Trumps Job Performance

I admit I am disappointed in Trump during his second term.
I admit that maybe I expected way too much.
Because of our only two choice system of voting, he was the only choice for a rational person. The other side are just crazy. So by that metric you could honestly say that Trump is doing an incredible job.
And obviously I knew very well that Trump could never fix what has been happening for the last hundred years. Nothing and no one can stop what is coming.
Anyone can make a list of Trump's faults because every human has faults.
And anyone can say that Trump is way better than the alternative because that is obviously true.
Still I am disappointed in him.

I understand. His choices have not all been the best, to my liking. I am not walking in his shoes, though. EVERYONE in DC is against him, even the Republocrats.
I know many on the board just want him to lock it up & go scorched earth on the Dems, but THAT is clearly not going to happen.

I just pray the USA makes it to the other side whole.
And I pray for PDJT!
 
At this point it feels like bait-and-switch. The Trump I voted for was the Trump we had during his first term. The Trump we got this time around seemed to start off strong, but when the Epstein files came up and he did a complete 180 on them, it really felt like getting stabbed in the back. He hasn't been the same Trump ever since then. I've really questioned a lot of his decisions and remarks in the last 6 months or so.

He had both the political capital and a two year opportunity with both houses until the midterms. Started out promising and then with the Epstein fallout he went to bed with the neocon globalists. When he said that Lindsay Graham was a great American patriot I knew he was irrevocably compromised. Whether or not he participated in Epstein’s crimes is open for debate but when he did a 180 degree turn on a number of things he ran against one could surmise he was being blackmailed.
 
And the alternatives on the Republican side were just as bad,

As far as Iran goes, Oct 2023 Hamas attacked Israel, Biden was President. Do you Democrats or Republicans would have done differently?
As far as Ukraine goes, Do you think either Republicans or Democrats would have escalated that war and put troops in? They were deployed to Romania.
As far as data centers go, open your AI and ask "Is China ahead of the US in AI"

While I watch armies of humanoid robots compete against each other in Chinese Robot Olympics while reading about the horrors of Data Centers destroying the natural habitat in BFE Pennsylvania.

I agree with most of what was said above. Trump was, by far, the lesser of the two evils in the 2024 election, so really he was the only acceptable choice for rational, thinking folks. He seemed to have a decent start on his second term at first, especially with slowing down and maybe even somewhat reversing the illegal immigration that we've been suffering from in the US for at least two decades. Also, he did somewhat (though not thoroughly) reform the government civil service. He has also been largely pro-energy (meaning he's reduced restrictions on oil drilling in this country - I wish his admin would promote nuclear energy more!). Those are things for which we can commend him.

But things went downhill pretty quickly after he decided to start a war on Iran on the pretext that Iran might obtain a nuclear weapon (a pretext I consider to be dubious, at best, at least as a reason to start a war against them). This war was, and is, unconstitutional because the Constitution of the United States delegates warmaking power to Congress, not the President. This war has resulted in an over 50% increase in fuel prices (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc.) and increases in prices of other goods; these are severely hurting Americans in their pocketbooks (including me). And like it or not, people vote according to economics, so I expect the Republicans to lose a majority at least in Congress and possibly the Senate this coming November. And with the rising tide of communism in the Democratic party, that does not bode well for our country.

Add to all that Trump's hatred for some of the best members of Congress (e.g., Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene, who were among the most obedient to the original intent of the Constitution in their voting records), and his presidential performance becomes even more disappointing. Not to mention his increasingly unpresidential foul mouth, which sets a bad example for all of society. I'm also convinced that he was somehow involved with Jeffrey Epstein, which was probably one reason he tried to suppress the release of files about that sorry state of affairs. I think HFcomms may be correct in surmising that Trump might be being blackmailed - that could explain a lot of his rather irrational decisions lately.

This is a spirtual war ultimately. Those of you who are followers of Jesus Christ, please pray for satan to be crushed and for truth to be exposed in all realms of creation. Pray that the Deep State will be crushed and thoroughly destroyed, and that begins in the spirit realm. Those of you who genuinely believe in and follow Christ, you know what I'm talking about!

No offense, but again, not talking about the alternatives. I am simply rating Trump on what he has done, and yes, he HAS done some good stuff, and most certainly is fighting an uphill battle but overall I am disappointed and really quite sad for our future.

What do you rate his performance? Are you overall very happy?

The real argument is what he has done that he promised?
What is he doing that the country needs?
What happened to Maga or did the definition change ?

What happened to Doge, perp walks, Epstein, no foreign wars...
We're getting data centers, $40T debt, never-endong Iran was.
I don't his childish criticisms of everybody who disagreea with his deviations or his name calling.

I think today, I'll rate him a 6. Reason is - he's one of the first Prez's in a long time to talk directly TO "the people", and not AT us. He's been trying, and succeeding somewhat, to do things that will benefit the people - but on the other hand, gets caught up in things that seem frivolous, and unwarranted. When's the last time we had a President, who gave two SH!TS about making things better for the people? More than votes or "approval ratings"?

Like the rest of us, I feel like he's doing the best he can under the circumstances. There are lots of things we don't know or see, still - so I won't be surprised if there is a whole slew of salacious "tell all" books published in '29.
 
I give him a mixed review. Some of his ideas are great and some not so great. I realize he cannot control much of what our government does. The elites and the deep state control so much of our country that is constantly battling them for control. We all know much of what happens in DC is controlled by non elected people.

It's easy for me to say 'I would have done that differently'.. but I learned a long time ago the information I'm 'allowed' to get from whatever source... is someone else's opinion, and guided by whoever is telling them what to say... I give President Trump a (9) only 1 off because he tried to 'make a deal' with miscreants who never honor a deal with non-believers...

Six out of ten. Some of what he's done is weird. Some of it is necessary. Some of it may not make sense for years, if ever.

But I'd vote for him a fourth time over most any alternative who isn't Jesus Christ running for president.

How much of that is because of things Trump has DIRECT control over, versus the areas that take Congressional action (from the do-nothing Repubs in Congress).

He doesn't have carte blanche to do what ever he wants...

He has had nothing but an uphill climb. They tried to kill him once for sure and maybe twice. That alone speaks volumes. Him fighting our deep state is no different than the normal people of Iran trying to fight the IIRG. They have two systems in place warring against each other just like we do.

His heart is in the right place, and he has done some good things. He is also just a man, so he will of course act like one. He is not a savior, although he has tried. We have been told how all this will end. Donald Trump is not going to change that outcome. God almighty has set it in stone.

I really don't understand the Iraq thing. However I do not think it is "all Israel' either. We are not privy to secret intel. I do not think he is stupid enough to start a war without reasonable cause. He tried to stop funding of the Ukraine war only to be undermined by our congress. The man is not stupid.

He is trying to protect the American currency but tearing apart BRICs. Maybe that is the reason for the war.

He has put a HUGE dent in the grift (NGO's) That alone is a feat to pull off. He is trying to help ranchers, oil industry, etc.

He is trying to restore fair voting. We shall see if he manages to pull it off. Just think what he could have accomplished if our Senate would cooperate with him.

He opened our eyes to fake media and polling. He has pulled back the curtain on a lot of stuff.

As for data centers, I think it's a war race. if you don't keep up with China then we are serious risk. The next war will be fought with AI and drones. So it becomes a protection issue. Even if it means our own risk. I guess it's risky either way. Not sure how one wins that dilemma.

I will also give him this, He is one brave man trying to do the best he can with what he has been dealt. He doesn't give up that's for sure.

let's pray JD wins the next round and that he is even half as brave.

That is not the question. There are MANY thousands of better choices... but we are not allowed the choices. They played Obama, Biden, Harris and a slew of evil senators and reps so that when DJT was presented, he would garner the core of the conservatives and christians. Trump said (lied) just what we wanted to hear. Trump was a bully against Hillary Clinton, Biden, Obama- and we justly loved it. But now Trump is a bully and tyrant against us.... in favor of Israel first. Why? If you have not asked yourself why or you have not yet figured out why, then you are sitting in the dark or just happily deceived..
