****SIGH****

The 590 is getting a new home this weekend.

****SIGH****

And we no longer go solo anywhere.

It appears to be ON. And I hear the thudding hoof prints of Donkey Kong in the nearing distance.

My husband and I were thinking about taking a road trip in the fall and were starting to route it out. We particularly wanted to go to Monument Valley, Bryce and Zion National Parks. Guess that won't be happening now.

You can't beat them. Just gorgeous places to visit in the spring or fall. Even summer can be decent there. It cools off in the evening. My favorite is Bryce. You come up on it and think..."ehh." Then you get closer to the edge...and wow! It opens up into fairy world. Last time we were there, we saw French chicks wearing high heels to walk down into the canyon. LOL! Their feet must have been killing them on the way back up.

I've said before the Mormons have been turning left for years now. They are woke. A lot of it has to do with the fact they don't want to lose federal funding at BYU(aka student loans), and they can't figure out their asses from a hole in the ground. They recently removed gay dating from the honor code then stuck it back in fast...but not before the gays on campus celebrated it with kissing at the Brigham Young sign. So, LDS hierarchy have no clue what the scriptures have to say about such. Meanwhile one of the head apostles has a gay brother. Gay family often turns everyone else in the family toward the dark. Also, the LDS have been in bed with catholics and Islam for a while. The Islam connection goes back to the Adnan Khashoggi days where the LDS helped broker arms deals...and for that ole Adnan invested heavily in Salt Lake. Then, the LDS have been open borders since they got "woke" a few years ago. They subcontract to the RCC to do "refugee" resettlement. Very woke bunch now. NOW, the majority of LDS are likely not "woke". Like everything else now, it's the small minority running things. I suspect within 10 years, OR LESS, the LDS will have gay weddings in the temples. They will have a "revelation" to such. Gone are the Ezra Taft Benson days. LONG GONE. Now, it's the Mittens, Harry Reid, Jeff Flake, and Tom Udall days.

"You are correct in assuming that as a private university, BYU does not receive federal funds for daily operation, but it does receive federal funds in the form of research grants and Pell grants, which means they must comply with Title IX."

PROVO — Despite facing significant pandemic-related financial losses, four universities and colleges owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have turned down more than $54.1 million in federal stimulus funding.

Brigham Young University, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii and LDS Business College will use private funds to help students who suffered pandemic-related financial issues during the semester that ended last month instead of using the money allocated by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
===========================================
Brigham Young University was allotted the most federal funding of any Utah college to provide relief during the pandemic — but the school won’t be taking any of it.

Instead, the private university announced Monday, it will use its own funds to offer support to students. And it will ask the U.S. Department of Education to reallocate the $32.3 million it had set aside for BYU to others.

Now you are more informed on LDS Church schools....... because you certainly need it.

The Church says same-sex couples still can't date. BYU removed an explicit ban on same-sex dating. People are to be accountable for their own behavior.

You have been reading odd things - I would love to hear about the gun-running...... Khashoggi bought some land downtown Salt Lake to invest in......not guns. You have a fanciful imagination.

This changes things, now if masked up mobs suddenly surround your car, and if there's any hostility causing you to fear for your life... it is best to floor it.

You won't know who is going to shoot, or from where they'll shoot from, so get just outta there as fast as you can, if you stop your odds of being shot go up drastically.

I wouldn't bother with using a gun, the left would LOVEZ a mass shooter at a peaceful protest..don't be that guy.

Provo used to be cleaner, tamer, and more Mayberry than Mayberry itself. Certainly not the dark underbelly that we see in so many of our "sticks" area, nor the ramped up in one's face toxic ivory tower trash teachings.

Obviously, things have changed...and that is possibly the point of having selected a formerly sane safe area- to remind us of that? Either way, it is weighing heavier on the alarm meter for having occurred there; I'll take that lesson to heart in my planning.

A week ago Antifa people threw red paint on a statue of Brigham Young, the founder of BYU in Provo - there are students who have infiltrated classes at most colleges and universities and I guess they have some there too. But they must feel like it is their "calling".

Good warning for the complacent Church members who don't believe anything bad can happen there. And that is the majority.

Blocking traffic is illegal.

How many have been arrested for that offense?

It would be easy to feel in that situation that you may be the victim of a carjacking, or other violent altercation; especially when they begin attacking your vehicle. Being surrounded also implies a disparity of force (number in the vehicle vs. the number of people attacking...)

If you are in fear of possible death or grave bodily injury, in many states you have the right to defend yourself.

You better understand how to articulate your concerns and have an Attorney on speed dial in the aftermath, however.

I'm a BYU grad. I might know a few things about the school. Anyway...student loans are part of the federal funding that you didn't mention. They do NOT want to bite the student loan program. Not just Pell Grants and other grants. BYU, back in February, removed the homosexual behavior from the honor code...which prompted all these lesbians and sodomites to go out and kiss at the BYU sign. THEN, they put it back in place....QUIETLY. VERY QUIETLY. BYU has long allowed homosexual groups to meet on campus, too. Also, I should have added there is more to the story. SPORTS. BYU was miffed about not getting into the Big12...but wanted the Pac12. The Pac12 wouldn't take them for sure...and the Big12 doesn't want them. So, they are left in limbo as a football program in the independent lurch. They don't want to buck it too much or else NO school will play them moving forward. Of course, basketball is in a different conference...but in with religious schools. FOLLOW THE MONEY!

Even the NYT knew about the Khashoggi investments..."
The church has played an important part in that change, particularly in attracting Adnan and Essam Khasshogi, Saudi Arabian Moslems who, in the analysis of some here, have found in Mormon Utah what business associates describe as a compatible social and economic climate.

Over the past seven years, the Khasshogis have committed nearly $1 billion in investment to Salt Lake City, according to Mr. Ball.
"
You think Adnan just felt Salt Lake had great potential and for all the places he can invest...Salt Lake gets his money?

I truly liked the old

Imagine what blood in the streets there's going to be when Trump is elected again! There's nothing short of just killing this bunch, really.

Just imagine the BITS if he isn't elected again.

'Cause they are going for the Brass Ring, now.

There won't be any blood in the street if he is not elected. Conservatives don't do that.

If he isn't elected, the Marxists will have taken control, even though they are now called "Progressives".

If you think about Marxist history, you'll see what I meant.

I give up.
I've been looking for this pic. It somehow disappeared on me.

Anyway, see the guy all in black next to the girl in blue jacket holding her bf's hand?

Someone said this morning that it looked like he's an Antifa and he's getting his "go hot" orders on the phone in his hands.

They said he's the shooter.

Since there is now a documented case of Antifa surrounding car and shooting occupant, does this mean a group of Antifa-BLM approaching my vehicle can be considered a reasonable threat to my life and the life of my family?

Seems Antifa thinks they are immune to repercussions and by firing the first shot complicates the narrative and what may now be people defending themselves.

Also seems like the person who was shot needs an attack dog lawyer to start chasing money because the billionaires behind this have a lot they can share.

I can see that someone might have picked him out as the shooter.

Knowing what he's getting on his phone? That's a reach...under normal conditions.

The NSA is hoovering up all electronic communications, that is known. I wonder what their efficiency is for sorting out stuff from antifafa?

If they bang on your vehicle, climb on it or threaten you.....

That's why you shouldn't have MAGA stickers on your vehicle, because that would nearly guarantee that'll you'll have to drive through the mob to save yourself and loved ones. jus sayin....

Demonstrator Shoots Bystander at Anti-Police Rally in Utah

Zachary Evans
,
National ReviewJune 30, 2020

A bystander was shot after being surrounded by anti-police demonstrators in Provo, Utah on Monday evening.

The incident was caught on video, although the suspect has not yet been identified. The suspect appears among anti-police demonstrators.

“A male protestor ran to the SVU on the passenger side, pointed a handgun at driver and shot one round through the window,” the Provo police wrote in a statement. “The driver, who was struck by the bullet, hit the gas trying to leave the situation. The same protestor ran after the vehicle and shot a second round that went through the rear passenger window. The video then shows that the protestor conceals the firearm and continues to protest.”

The department added, “This same protestor later approached another vehicle…striking and breaking the window with the handgun.”

Police said that two rallies had been approved for Monday evening, apparently both pro- and anti-police. The rallies remained peaceful until about 8:30 p.m., when police received reports of gunfire.

Demonstrations have erupted across the country since the death of George Floyd, an African American man killed during his arrest by Minneapolis police officers. Many of those demonstrations have led to violence, with widespread looting and rioting in New York, Chicago, Boston, and elsewhere.

Cities have also seen an uptick in shootings since the demonstrations began. New York recorded 59 shootings last week, up from 26 in the previous year, while Minneapolis has also seen a sharp rise in shootings since the civil unrest following Floyd’s death.

I don't doubt they are getting their orders to go hot. Look around the picture. I count two others behind him that are getting texts messages at the same time. We think there is one shooter but there could very well have been three activated. Feds should be able to track this terrorist activity fairly easy.
