Thank you. I don't have the bandwidth to watch videos, but I managed to get thru the one on growing tomatoes. I've been trying to garden since the Dark Ages and some years I have fantastic tomatoes, and some years are like last year when every single one of my plants just died. I knew they needed calcium but had never heard of putting a raw egg in when you plant them. I've used banana peels before so will try that. I just wonder if the egg is not going to stink as it starts to rot? It kind of seems to me that the stink would attract those infernal raccoons. Will have to try it and see.

I was going to ask on the gardening forum about using egg shells. Been using those for several years and they do seem to help provide needed calcium. Going to plant my tomatoes tomorrow and they will all get a handful of crushed eggshells in the bottom of the hole.

Afraid to use a whole egg due to the aforementioned racoon problem.
