I'm surprised that I am still finding clearance in date canned food at multiple different stores. Find out where the clearance items are shelved at your local store and check it consistently. Yesterday I was finding 4 different types of chili in different size cans for 90 cents to $1.50 each. Picked up organic extra lean ground beef for $3.20 a pound. Just a heads up for all.

I cleared out my corned beef hash stores from 2015 last week. All were fine in terms of taste. Replacing them as I go. That is a great, low cost and filling meal.

If you go by calories, corned beef hash one of the highest calorie counts per can for a 14 oz. can. It is 760 calories per can. I think sausage hash or roast beef is higher. A lot of calories for about 1.50 a can (14 oz)
