After Murder Of Henry Nowak, Amnesty International Condemns Right Wing 'Political Commentary'

by Tyler Durden
Thursday, Jun 04, 2026 - 03:30 AM
Via Remix News,
Amnesty International’s reaction to the murder of Henry Nowak has prompted outrage, with the organization having nothing to say about the atrocious and inhumane actions of the police during the incident, but sharply condemning the “political commentary” in the wake of Nowak’s death.

“At a time when hate crimes are rising, and violence and fear are becoming a daily reality for people of colour and migrants, calls for ‘cold, hard rage’ are completely reckless. Henry Nowak’s murder is an awful tragedy and his family have said “we do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension”. The very least politicians can do is respect that,” wrote Amnesty International.

Not everyone is happy about Amnesty International’s remarks on the case, which has up until now, said nothing about the manner in which the police handcuffed a dying Nowak as he bled out from eight stab wounds.

Swedish MEP Charlie Weimers wrote on X, “Amnesty has been morally bankrupt for a long time. A pure left-wing organization."

View: https://twitter.com/weimers/status/2062039587673772089?

He was responding to a comment from Lauren Chen, who wrote:

“Incredible statement from Amnesty International UK on Henry Nowak: Not a single word of conveying outrage or horror over the brutal murder, or of how police left him to die without dignity. Instead, their statement is about policing the political commentary around the case. I kid you not. What a grotesque betrayal of any moral purpose. These NGOs aren’t just useless – they actively despise you. They are hostile to everything you value and everything you hold dear.”

Amnesty International, however, is known for its pro-migration and left-wing stances and has a long history of funding from the Open Society Foundation of George Soros. Nevertheless, the organization is often critical of police conduct, which makes it all the more remarkable that the organization has nothing to say about the police’s actions in this case.

The Southampton officers in the case disregarded Nowak’s pleas for help while immediately taking the claims of Vickrum Digwa, who said Nowak made racist comments to him, at face value. Notably, Nowak told the police multiple times that he had been stabbed and warned them: “I can’t breathe.” When he told the officer he had been stabbed, the officer replied, “I don’t think you have, mate.”

At the same time, the murder weapon was given to his mother, and police later found it at the family home along with more than 20 other weapons. His mother is due to be sentenced for removing the murder weapon from the crime scene.

The Nowak case has many parallels with the George Floyd case, where Police Officer Derek Chauvin was controversially convicted for murdering Floyd after placing him in handcuffs and kneeling on his back while Floyd said, “I can’t breathe.” Although the left weaponized the case, sparking mass riots the resulted in billions of damage across the United States, Amnesty International never condemned the left’s political rhetoric in the Floyd case. The Soros-funded organization also never condemned the mass riots, which left stores and homes burned out across major American cities.

If anything, Amnesty International’s “political commentary” around the case only served to inflame tensions and put vulnerable communities under further threat.

This double standard has not been lost on English protesters, who gathered in the streets and chanted “I can’t breathe,” at police officers in Southhampton yesterday, before unrest broke out. Notably, no shops were burned and no businesses harmed during the small-scale unrest — a far cry from the mass riots following Floyd’s death.

The murder of Nowak had sparked anger across Britain, but parties on the right, in particular, have been the most critical. Amnesty International appears unhappy that political commentators are pointing out the racial double-standard at work, including the police immediately taking the side of the murderer because he cried, “racist.”

Meanwhile, the leader of Restore Britain, Rupert Lowe, is making headlines for his call to return the death penalty for killers like Digwa.

His proposal has now received backing from Elon Musk.

All of this explains Amnesty’s position and why that organization will never try to hold the police accountable for their actions in the Nowak murder case.

A 15-year-old British girl in Leamington was gang-raped by Afghans. She recorded everything on her phone, begging “Help me, please help me, they’re going to rape me.”

Her lawyers said the footage couldn’t be released — it would cause riots across the country.

So the truth is suppressed to protect the narrative.

Afghan rapists. British child victim. Evidence hidden.

This is the grooming gang nightmare on steroids.

The British people deserve the full truth — no more cover-ups.

Elon Musk: There has been and continues to be mass rape of women and girls in Europe by immigrants coming from a small set of countries. This is simply a fact.

STOP calling them grooming gangs. You lessen what is done to these women and girls. They are RAPE gangs. They were not groomed, they were raped.

You 'groom' a dog, you manipulate, sexually assault and r*pe underage kids. Speak it as sharp-edged as it is, don't euphemize.

There’s a reason Muslim women *must* be escorted by male family members.

Otherwise they’re fair game for rape

Nigel Farage exposes the dreadful truth about Britain's two-tier policing system. He revealed authorities tried to cover up the murder of Henry Nowak and now instruct officers to “police different ethnic communities in different ways.”

FARAGE: “Because the authorities cover this up.”

“They don’t want it want it debated.” “In fact anyone who dares question it gets labeled by our prime minister as being ‘far-right’, whatever that is supposed to mean.”

“And this is how far the left-wing woke crazy agenda has gone.”

“That chief constable that you had on the show a moment ago apologizing.”

“The reason the police behaved that way is they are now trained, briefed by police chiefs...they’re told, they are actually told you MUST police different ethnic communities in different ways.”

“Meaning, meaning literally that White people do not get the same privileges under the law as Asian or Black people.”

There’s no freedom of speech in Britain, no equal treatment under the law.

The Henry Nowak case has exposed to the entire world that Britain’s political leader has lost legitimacy.

The civic unrest you see now should come as no surprise.

The surprise is that it hasn't happened years ago. It will be interesting to see if it lasts until change is made or falters.

Henry Nowak killer's grandmother says the mother is 'heartbroken'

By VIVEK CHAUDHARY, SENIOR REPORTER

Published: 02:12 EDT, 4 June 2026 | Updated: 02:53 EDT, 4 June 2026

The grandmother of Henry Nowak's killer has spoken for the first time since the disturbing case sparked a national furore - and says the case has destroyed two families.

Vickrum Digwa, who repeatedly stabbed the innocent student before lying to police that he had been racist, was jailed for life on Monday - sparking mass protests in Southampton which were marred by violence.

Now the murderer's grandmother has become the first family member to discuss the case publicly - and revealed that they are living in fear of reprisals, with some family members now in hiding.

Describing Digwa as a 'difficult boy', she also defended his mother who covered up for him by hiding the knife he used to kill Henry, saying she did what any mum would do to protect her son.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail from her home in Southampton, Hampshire, Bimla Kaur, 75, said: 'This whole case has destroyed two families: Henry's and mine.

'Commandos' of the faith

'We are in a hard situation because we still have to support him [Digwa] but at the same time our hearts are broken and I'm very sorry for what's happened.'

She explained that her family come from a particularly martial Sikh sect that prides itself on being skilled in the use of swords, knives and other weapons while proclaiming themselves to be the 'commandos' of the faith - but said that Digwa had abused this heritage.

Mrs Kaur went on: 'These weapons are not meant to be used on the innocent, so something has gone wrong. He's done a very bad thing - there's no argument over that.'

Digwa, 23, regularly participated in combat sessions with an array of arms as a member of the Nihangs, an ancient order of Sikhism that was formed around 900 years ago to protect the religion and its gurdwaras (places of worship) at a time when they were under [expletive] from Muslim rulers in India.

The Nihangs became known for their bravery and ruthlessness on the battlefield and expertise with weapons such as swords, knives, spears and iron chains, earning a fearsome reputation for being the 'army of Sikhism'.

Protect Sikhism

Mrs Kaur went on: 'Most of the men in this family are Nihangs and so is Vickrum. As a Nihang, Vickrum was devoted to that way of life. It meant everything to him.

'It's an important part of our faith and it's something that I'm proud of, that there are Nihangs in this family. They were formed to protect Sikhism, that's why weapons are so important to them.'

She added again: 'But these weapons are not meant to be used on the innocent.

'What also makes me sad is that our whole community is now being targeted with all this talk of banning kirpans.

'Despite being a Nihang, Vickrum has also been a difficult boy but that's not unusual for children who are born in Britain.'

Bimla revealed that following the violence that took place in Southampton after Digwa's conviction, his father Moga and his other son, Gurpreet have gone into hiding - and are considering leaving the city altogether.

She said: 'It's not safe for them to be in their home because it was targeted the other night and it's only a matter of time before it is [expletive] again.

Living in fear

'Both Moga and Gurpreet are with relatives in a safe place and to be honest, I'm not sure if they'll ever return to that house again.'

Scanning the surroundings outside her home in central Southampton she added: 'We're all living in fear because we've also had some threats and are worried that we might also get [expletive].

'But we've been in this city a long time, our whole extended family is here, and we don't have anywhere else to go.'

Digwa's mother Kiran Kaur, 52, was asked by him to take the weapon away from the murder scene and she is due to be sentenced for assisting an offender later this month. She is currently being held on remand.

Bimla said: 'I've been to see her in prison and she's doing the best she can. She only did what any mother would have done, which is to protect her child. And now she's going to be punished for this.'

'Kiran has done a good job raising those two boys
and was very supportive of them becoming Nihangs. It wasn't an issue for her because that's what she wanted and like me, was very proud of that. It's a huge honour for our family.'

Sharing details about the family, Bimla described her daughter-in-law as a 'devout Sikh' and housewife who never worked but was focused on raising her children in a traditional Sikh household.

She married Vickrum's father in India after it was arranged by relatives in 1995 and came to Britain soon after, setting up home in Southampton and giving birth to two sons.

Despite being born and raised in Southampton hundreds of years after their formation, Digwa became a devoted member of the order, living by its strict code which combines religious and military discipline.

'Weapons obsessed'

He regularly practised Gatka - the Nihang martial art which involves fighting with swords and sticks and also taught it to Sikh youngsters who attended the same gurdwara as him close to his home.

He amassed a large number of kirpans, ceremonial swords or daggers which are permissible under British law, which he saw as his indelible right to own as a Nihang.

But it later emerged that he also owned a number of illegal weapons and was described in court as being 'weapons obsessed'.

Nihangs are known for wearing vibrant blue robes while carrying traditional weaponry and with steel bands adorning their turbans.

Digwa was regularly seen in such attire while proudly displaying his weapons during Sikh festivals and when visiting the gurdwara.

While Digwa had been wearing a traditional kirpan under his clothing, the weapon he used on Henry was much bigger and he had worn it in a sheath on top of his clothes.

Sentencing Digwa to life with a minimum of 21 years imprisonment for Henry's murder, Judge William Mousley KC noted that he was 'a member of a Sikh order called the Nihang'.

Digwa claimed that he had a second knife because it is a Nihang tradition, but the judge insisted that this was not a 'strict requirement'.

There are no precise figures available on how many Nihangs there are in the UK, but they are visible in large numbers during Sikh religious festivals, performing Gatka and exhibiting other martial skills.

Not safe for the dad to be in Southampton

Digwa was raised in an orthodox Sikh household in Southampton and both his father, Moga Singh, 52, and brother Gurpreet Singh, 27, are also Nihangs.

They have also been charged with possessing multiple other weapons such as a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords and kusaris.

Moga runs a car valeting business which is located on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Southampton, but it has been closed over the past few weeks as Digwa's trial came to an end.

The father is known to his employees as 'Gary' - with one telling the Daily Mail that he is now considering shutting the business down permanently as he considers leaving Southampton.

The employee, who did not want to be named, said: 'We've not seen Gary in quite a few weeks and I'm not sure if he'll return here, apart from coming to collect a few of his things and close the whole thing down.'

'It's not safe for him to be in Southampton. We call him Gary because we can't pronounce his real name and he doesn't mind that.

'But he's got quite a fiery temper and not somebody you'd want to get on the wrong side of. And his boys are exactly the same.'

Upright and noble people

Digwa taught Gatka and other martial skills at the Gurdwara Khalsa Darbar, which is just a short walk from his home.

Jas Singh, a Nihang who knew Digwa, said: 'He [Digwa] is a fake Nihang. Yes, weapons are important to us, and we learn to use them, but it is clearly stipulated that they can only be used to protect the faith, uphold justice and defend the innocent, not kill them.

'The Nihangs are an upright and noble people, but Digwa was none of these things. He was a common thug and yob, no different to any other you commonly see on the streets of Britain. There is more to being a Nihang than owning weapons and dressing in a particular way.'

Another regular at the gurdwara added: 'Digwa had a really bad temper on him, behaved badly and thought that he could get away with anything.'

'A lot of people in this area didn't like him or some of his family and we'll be glad to see the back of them because they have disgraced us all.'

Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.

Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.

It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.

Ongoing Fallout from Nowak Murder Case

June 7, 2026 | Sundance | 193 Comments
The context and details of the Nowak murder case continue highlighting what cultural Marxism does in policing when combined with aggressive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) demands.

The British publication Sunday Times (paywall) is now reporting that three days after the trial of Vickrum Digwa began; as the police began facing scrutiny and needed to get out in front of the massive public outrage that was coming toward them; the police wanted to produce a statement telling the public Nowak’s death wasn’t really their fault, they were trained to believe the voices of racial minorities over the voices of white people.

The police wanted to issue a statement essentially telling the public of their intent to clarify things once the trial was completed. [This sounds like “a guilty conscience.’] However, the prosecution team stopped the police from issuing any statement. This expanding context is making the issues within the U.K even more toxic and more explosive.

U.K Independent […] –Hampshire Police planned to put out a statement challenging “disinformation” during the trial of Henry Nowak’s killer, but were warned by the Crown Prosecution Service it could jeopardise the case.

It is understood there had been concern about online commentary and potential public disorder, so Hampshire Police sought the CPS’s views on issuing a message telling people it would address questions once proceedings were complete, according to The Sunday Times.

Prosecutors advised the force that it could risk impacting the “integrity” of the case against Vickrum Digwa. (more)

I still think the worst part of this legal dynamic was the judge in the case ruling the video taken by the killer as he murdered his victim was, “too disturbing to be shown” as evidence. The killer recorded himself doing the killing, and that evidence could not be shown to the jury because it was “too disturbing,” yet the jury was tasked with making a decision on whether the accused was guilty or not. Think about it. Beyond insane judicial logic.

The police never even handcuffed the murderer and now reports say, “Vickrum Digwa was carrying a knife when he arrived at a police station after being arrested for the murder of teenager Henry Nowak, it has emerged. Digwa, 23, was jailed for life last week and must serve a minimum of 21 years behind bars for killing 18-year-old Henry in Southampton in December.”

Everything about this case is just crazy and revealing how insane the British system of justice has become.
