Quick search says 4 seater. I've been up in something with a similar frame but long ago so do not remember much but the view over the lakes in Florida and seeing my Jeep parked at the college.

Praying for the passengers is nice but, with the size of the fire they are likely Ghosts so don't forget those on the ground area of impact.

Texas DPS: Plane crashes near Cleburne minutes after fuel stop​


An NTSB investigator is expected to arrive to the scene Monday afternoon.

CLEBURNE, Texas — An NTSB investigator will be looking into the cause of a plane crash that happened near Cleburne Sunday night.

Texas DPS says a civilian aircraft from West Virginia had stopped at the Cleburne Regional Airport for fuel, then took off at about 8:55 p.m. At around 8:57, the plane crashed within Cleburne city limits.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said the plane is a Cessna 210 aircraft. Their investigator should get to the scene of the crash Monday afternoon.

According to the NTSB, their preliminary report should come out in the next two weeks.

No other information is available at this time.

CLEBURNE, Texas - At least one person was killed in a plane crash Sunday night in Johnson County.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it happened around 10 p.m. just after taking off from the Cleburne Regional Airport.

The plane that crashed was a single-engine Cessna C205.

It’s not clear how many people were on board or where the plane was headed.

Federal investigators are looking into what caused the crash.

Are there any pilots here who can comment on what might have gone wrong? Bad fuel perhaps?

Bad fuel, bad weather, carb ice (foggy and humid conditions makes carb ice happen) pilot disorientation; could be a multitude things actually. Water in the fuel could have been a cause.

that's just a few i'd throw out there to consider.

Two Dead After Single-Engine Plane Crash Near Cleburne Airport​

Two people are dead shortly after their single-engine plane departed from Cleburne Regional Airport on Sunday night, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed.


The single-engine Cessna C205 crashed after departing Sunday night. The plane was flying in from West Virginia and headed to Granbury when it stopped to refuel in Cleburne.


One person, 30-year-old Jeanette Sue Stone, has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner. A dog who was also on board died in the plane crash.


The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash and will provide updates accordingly. This story is developing.
