DD told me yesterday that her nursery plan will be elephants. Long story short is she has a baby blanket given to her that was our nephews when he was born. She has stubbornly kept that blanket all these years. Even when he had kids and I suggested he might want his girls to use it she told me that was "her" blankie. So it will now be framed and hung in the nursery. So I am making Peanut (my nickname for the little one) a new elephant quilt. The drawing is rough but you'll get the idea. I am not good with paper and pencil sadly. Oh and the three things on the bottom left are the very spoiled dog and cats. Her colors are light green (but not mint), yellow, and gray. The heart balloons and the cornerstones are going to be red. I also think I will do the hearts, the ears, and the tails in wool, possibly the dog and cats too. What do you think?
....I will see if I can find out if its washable. I was just thinking the contrast would be nice.
