One has to assume that the perp is reasonably intelligent, if only because they could obtain ricin. It's not like you can get it at your local Walmart.

Not as difficult as you might think. The late true crime author Ann Rule wrote a book about Dr. Debora Green, a physician who came very close to killing her husband (also a physician) using ricin from castor beans she obtained at a local garden center, "Bitter Harvest: A Woman's Fury, a Mother's Sacrifice".

Really? In other news, 20 packages of Ricin are sent to the White House every week. What makes this one so different would be real news.

Who's your source in Springfield? Or Brentwood? A lot of weird stuff gets sent to the WH facility but if there were 20 packs of ricin aweek sent there, the worker would be dying from overdoses of cipro! That's SOP if there's exposure in the facility.
Wife did a courier run in 2004 for her job , some mail she picked up was processed in that facility.there was a supposed anthrax letter in the facility when her mail was there. She had to do a 30 day regimen of cipro hors pill sized pills.

God has a plan, Trust it!
I used to work for the company that provides the mail equipment to the WH, Pentagon and other government buildings. I can assure you that before a human in the WH even touches the mail, it has been scanned for many different things - bombs, poison, chemicals, residue, anthrax.

Cipro is for anthrax. There is no antidote I know of for ricin... just supportive treatment.

Woman accused of mailing ricin to Trump also may have targeted Texas law enforcement

A woman accused of sending a letter containing ricin to President Trump is also suspected of mailing the highly-potent poison to law enforcement agencies in Texas, sources close to the matter said Monday.

The woman, who was not identified prior to her initial court appearance, was taken into custody Sunday by US Customs and Border Protection agents at the Peace Bridge border crossing near Buffalo, New York. She was expected to appear in federal court Tuesday in Buffalo to face charges, three law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.

The letter, which appeared to have been sent from Canada, was intercepted last week at a government facility that screens mail addressed to the White House and President Trump.

Two tests later confirmed it tested positive for ricin, a highly toxic substance that can kill adults in doses as small as 500 micrograms, CNN reports.

Now, it has emerged that envelopes containing the deadly poison were also sent to law enforcement agencies in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press, adding that they believe they were mailed by the same person who targeted the White House.

The other agencies allegedly targeted by the suspect in south Texas were not immediately identified.

Investigators from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Quebec, meanwhile, carried out a raid early Monday in connection to the investigation, the CBC reports.

“Our Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives team (CBRNE) team is leading the operation,” the agency confirmed in a tweet. “All necessary measures have been taken to ensure public safety.”

A RCMP spokesperson told CNN the agency was working with FBI officials to investigate the letter, which was mailed from St. Hubert, Quebec, before it was intercepted last week.

The woman was carrying a gun when she was taken into custody as she tried to enter the US from Canada, CNN reports.

Well friend, you're sort of making my case that the perp had to be reasonably intelligent. I researched Dr. Green. Not only was she a medical doctor, but she majored in chemistry while at university. This meets my definition of "reasonably intelligent."

If you read up on the case, you would know the only thing she actually did was grind the beans and incorporate them into his food. :) NO chemistry needed.

Yup, that’s her.
She also sent a ricin letter to Texas officials.
CTVNews reported:
Quebec resident Pascale Ferrier has been identified as the suspect alleged to have sent letters containing the poisonous substance ricin to the White House and different locations in Texas, including a police department, CTV News has confirmed.
A team that specializes in biohazards swarmed a Montreal-area condo Monday morning, evacuating several units as they looked for evidence connected to the ricin-laced letter sent to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Ferrier was initially expected to appear in court Monday afternoon in Buffalo to face federal charges in the U.S., but sources tell CTV News the appointment was postponed to tomorrow.

Update: Woman accused of mailing deadly poison to White House was arrested in Hidalgo County last year
September 21, 2020 12:57 PM in News - Local

Pascale Ferrier, 53, of Quebec, Canada, was arrested by the Mission Police Department in March 2019, according to Hidalgo County jail booking records.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation identified Ferrier as the person accused of sending an envelope that contained ricin, a deadly poison, to the White House. The Associated Press, citing a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said investigators believe the same person also mailed letters to Rio Grande Valley law enforcement agencies.

Hidalgo County Sheriff J.E. "Eddie" Guerra said four envelopes that contained ricin were mailed to the Hidalgo County jail. One letter was addressed to Guerra; the other three letters were addressed to detention employees.

"At this time, due to an open and active federal investigation, I cannot make any further comments," Guerra said, adding that the Sheriff's Office would send out a news release.

Asked if Ferrier sent the letters, Guerra declined to comment.

Another letter that contained ricin was mailed to the Mission Police Department, said Inv. Art Flores, a spokesman for the department.

Ferrier was arrested by the Mission Police Department in March 2019, when she was charged with two counts of unlawfully carrying a weapon and one count of tampering with a governmental record.

The Hidalgo County District Attorney's Office filed a motion to dismiss the charges, which listed the reason as: "1st & only offense; defendant served 20 days."

After more than two months in jail, Ferrier was released on May 18, 2019, according to Sheriff's Office records. The New York Times reported that she was deported to Canada.

"Law enforcement officials said this weekend that the letters could have been sent from Canada, but that it was not clear when they were sent," according to the New York Times. "The mail was intercepted last week, before it reached its destination."

Check back for updates.

That is what those gender changing drugs will do to you. If at all possible please stay with the gender you were given at birth. For your own good and the good of society because that looks like a man. An ugly looking spud for sure.

How the hell do the authority's know which jail cell to stick these people into? Some are danglers who claim they are women, some women that claim they are danglers, and then there's the INDETERMINATE and every flavor in between. :shr:

She really does look like a man, especially in post #62! Maybe that’s what s/he wants. Looks like a bit of 5 o’clock shadow to me.

Keep in mind, however, that there are many women with extremely short hair who are or have been going through chemo. We need to look at more than just hair.
