AMBRIDGE, Pa. (KDKA) — Sources tell KDKA a mother allegedly shot and killed her two daughters inside their home in Beaver County.

Ambridge Police were called to a shooting in the 900 block of Maplewood Avenue Monday afternoon.

When they arrived, they found two people dead inside a home. Ambridge Police Chief John DeLuca called it a “gruesome scene.”

KDKA spoke with one witness who rode by on his bike earlier and said he spotted a woman on the porch of a home being handcuffed by police. Another witness says she was walking her son’s friend home from a sleepover while all of this unfolded.

“I said, ‘Is it safe for us to walk him home?’ and they said, ‘We have to escort you.’ And I said, ‘That’s fine, but is it safe, what happened, did something bad happen?’ He said, ‘We can’t tell you,'” said Rachel Kruze.

More information is pending notification of next of kin, the Beaver County District Attorney says. A woman is in custody but no charges have been filed.

It was a very "odd" day for PA, between this shooting, there was a fire set on the North Side of the City of Pgh (part of a domestic) by a mentally ill woman, during that incident the elderly neighor next door to that house went into cardiac arrest and died.

Later there was a bomb threat at Pittsburgh International Airport (they demanded money be sent to paypal) and I think earlier in the day there had been "some threat" in the Harrisburg area and PSP closed their headquarters.

I expect this to trend. Interesting, as the world dives deeply into the trib... wonder what’s next, by the minute these days. Glad you guys no gals are here to provide the meat..........so to speak.

bad batch o' drugs hit the streets? Actually, it's just a day in the neighborhoods all across this country. Been a few weeks since our last, and fortunately he killed himself ultimately instead of the kids, but...stay outta the shadows if ya wanna sleep at night.

AMBRIDGE, Pa. (KDKA) — A mother is charged with shooting and killing her two daughters inside their home in Beaver County.

Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier identified the suspect as 48-year-old Krisinda Bright. She is charged with two counts of criminal homicide. Bright is currently in the Beaver County Jail.

According to officials, Bright called the police after the shootings to report the crimes. She let them into the home and that is when police found two bodies in two different rooms.

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — A 14-year-old girl has been charged in the stabbing death of her older sister in a Pennsylvania home, authorities said.

Prosecutors in Lancaster County said the girl called 911 shortly after 1 a.m. Monday and then pointed arriving officers to a bedroom of the Manheim Township home, where her 19-year-old sister was found with a stab wound to her neck.

First responders provided live-saving efforts, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said the parents of the sisters were asleep at the time.

The district attorney’s office said the teen will be charged with criminal homicide as an adult because homicide is not considered a delinquent act in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Prosecutors said a motive is still being sought as well as the circumstances of the death.

Chief Thomas Rudzinski of the township police department called it “just an awful situation.”

“I can’t imagine what those parents are going through today,” he told WHP-TV. “I’m sure they are upset to say the least over the loss of one and the second one is in prison as well.”

This is the after effects of the Steel Valley Meltdown. When I was growing up your father either worked as a coal miner, steel worker, or an occupation to support either of these.
Ambridge is named after American Bridge which in it's hayday employed over 5000 people.
A lot of the mill works is still there. Very close fried of mine who lived in the next town's father and he himself worked there for a short time. My wife's cousin (he worked there), and his wife's father (worked there) and his entire family live there.
There are a number of reasons for and blame for all the problems in the steel valley area.
This includes Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Weirton, Wheeling, Wellsburg, Washington Pa, the list could go on.
I have thought of charting all the reasons for what happened to the industrial base in this tristate area.
In fact in my home town was a plant that in it's peak employed 4000 people,

This is actually a fairly well-off part of Lancaster County.

For most Whites living there but did you see the photo?.............we are talking some form of non-Whites that no doubt ended up living their long after the mills closed...........I know I lived up there for 43 years........its still one of the Whitest areas in the US.........most of the loss mills up there was done by the end of the 70s.......

After being placed into an interview room and read her rights, Bright told police she shot one of the children while the victim was lying in bed. She then told police that she went downstairs and pointed the gun at the other child and pulled the trigger.

According to the criminal complaint, Bright told police that the gun didn’t fire, and after the child said, “Please don’t shoot, I’m gonna call the police,” Bright fixed the gun and shot the child in the face. But Bright told police that the child wasn’t dead, so she went to get another gun and shot the victim in the head because she didn’t want her child to suffer.

Crime scene investigators reported that they found the first child deceased in the basement with an apparent gunshot wound to the face and head. The second child was found deceased in the upstairs bedroom with an apparent gunshot wound to the face and head area.

Lockdown madness? There was a UK article a few days ago that talked about people over the pond just snapping. A woman stabs her husband 4 times while they were arguing in the kitchen, workers debating whether or not to just drive their car into a wall on the way to work. People have descended into despair, many have been isolated from all real social contact for months. I have personally seen a family member who was never entirely stable become someone with a hair trigger temper and a complete absence of a sense of propriety.

If the lockdowns continue much longer, people who could barely handle adult life in normal circumstances are going to go feral.
