America Does Not Have a Woman President Because of 'Misogyny' and Male 'Insecurities'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), appearing at her Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, was asked in the wake of female Democrat candidate for president Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) dropping out of the 2020 presidential race if America was ready for a female president.

A reporter asked, “What does Elizabeth Warren withdrawal from this race say about the willingness of the American people and the Democratic party’s willingness to put a woman at the top of the ticket?”

Pelosi said, “I so wish — every time I get introduced as the most powerful woman, I almost cry because I think, I wish that was not true. I do wish we had a woman President of the United States. We came very close to doing that. A woman who was better qualified than so many people who have sought that office and even won it.”

:prfl:

She continued, “I think we had great candidates that represented different points of view. Amy’s more moderate and middle America, Heartland of America, articulate point of view. We are so proud of her. Also, Elizabeth, to get down to the final two who were still in the race, so knowledgeable and the rest. I don’t know whether men think about being president form the day they are born and start running for that. I don’t think women do that. Maybe we should.”

She added, “I do think there’s a certain element of misogyny that is there. And some of it isn’t really mean-spirited; it just isn’t their experience. Many of them will tell you they had a strong mom. They have strong sisters. They have strong daughters. But they, you know, they have their own insecurities. And so I think America is ready for a woman president.”

Whatever happened to Sarah Palin. Identity politics, the only women and people of color who matter are those who are die hard leftists, any other person of color or the female gender is dismissed by the leftists with a racial/gender slur.

And she's setting the example by tearing up a copy of the SOTU, much like a teenager who disagrees with her parents.
Hold on dear Nancy, it always Happy Hour inside the beltway.

So far, there's not been any Ladies or Crazy Liberal Women Loons that I would have wanted for President that's ran in Primaries in the past years.

Are you sure about that?
Most of the women who've run for President have been absolute nutburgers.

This is the truth. They are either nutburgers, or in the case of Sarah Palin, they slung every bit of mud available and made her out to be a hick because of her mannerisms, etc. Nancy and her ilk did everything they could to minimize Palin, and don't have even one creaky hypocritical leg to wobble on.

Or, even women know that it would be a bad decision to put another woman in.

Repeal the f'ing 19th and be done with this shit.

its not about thinking it is a bad decision to put another woman in. its about not finding a suitable person, whether they are male of female. the whole lot of them suck, and anyone that shows a glimmer of promise to actually help and do right by the american people, they either get trumped, or sandered...or both.

SHE is a terrible leader, and she is just pissed that people recognize it and don't want her and no amount or money or power or control is changin peoples' minds on that.

Women like Pelosi, and Hillary, and Warren, and Talib, and Stacey, and...are the reason why we haven't had a female president.
Not that it matters, women with leadership abilities are scarce as hen's teeth.
Nature isn't fair.

Oddly, Nancy seems to have forgotten all about Tulsi.
She could be doing more to promote her.

Mud wasn't slung at Sarah Palin because of her mannerisms-her mannerisms were only a flimsy excuse. It was only slung at her to stop her incredible momentum-and maybe to discourage any like minded women in the future. I will go to my grave believing McCain was the designated loser in a rigged election. He had his role to play and maybe even Sarah Palin did as well. The system is so unbelievably corrupt nothing would surpise me anymore.

Too bad the men that procreated with Warren and Pelosi didn’t pull out.

Women always claim to be smarter than men.
Women always vote for men to be president.
Men are just smart enough to do the same thing smart people do.
Nancy is pretty smart too . . . she has never run for President.

I think it is all women's fault

Jesse Jackson was talking with God one day.

He asked Him "God will there ever be a black president?"

God said " Not in your lifetime". (Bambam does not count)

Jesse said "Will there ever be a woman president?"

God replies "Not in my lifetime"

Sorry, but I have not seen a single woman in our government worthy of sitting in the oval office.....of course, I also haven't seen any man in our government that is truely worthy of sitting in the oval office in a long, LONG, LONG time either.

So sick and tired of always having to vote for the LESSOR of two evils. Lessor evil is still evil.

I guess I am just old fashioned.....Men were created to be the leaders, the protectors. So no I don't want a woman president. Sadly though there is a huge lack of real men being brought up to be leaders. I know I have young adult daughters in the dating world and whew the pickings are slim if you want a man who can change a tire, fix a car, do home repairs, and so on.

Give me a woman to vote for that is more worthy than the male counterparts and I will. I am still waiting for that to happen. Hillary seemed to think along with Pelosi that having a vagina means that you should automatically vote for that person so equipped. Personally I don't care for what is under the clothing as much as I do that they have a good head on their shoulders.

Sara Palin was rather unpopular because she needs voice training. Her voice grates because it's so high pitched. I did vote for her, but not for mcpain. I always liked her.
Hillary is a raging biatch that I would step on if I had the chance.

There, fixed it for you so you don't sound like a complete ass.

People serve in positions of leadership. Way too many of today's so-called leaders don't and never will understand what that means. In other words leaders are servants to the people. Unfortunately the huge egos we see in politics - and just about everything else including online identities - get in the way of this truism. If you are incapable of being a good servant, you are incapable of being a good leader. Servitude also starts at home. If you are not a good spouse, you are incapable of being a good leader. If you are not a good parent, you are incapable of being a good leader. If you are incapable of being a good employee who focuses more on the success of the business than on your personal success you are incapable of being a good leader.

Not all servants are meant to be leaders. That's as it should be. But all leaders must be able to be a good servant first to be a good leader.
