Several people here on Timebomb have asked me about Parno's Company, a novel that I had posted the opening chapters of on my Wordpress blog, wishing to know if it was going to be published, and if so, when.

Parno's Company was released today on Amazon, and this is a link to the page. For those who are interested, I hope you enjoy. Parno's Company is the first installment of a trilogy about Prince Parno McLeod, and his quest to protect his land and people.

The world of Parno's Company is one that was once a great world full of technology and advancement, but a plague centuries before resulted in the calamity they know as 'The Dying' or 'The Burning'. Centuries later they are still struggling to reclaim the wonders of their ancestors, while struggling to protect themselves from warring neighbors. It's not a PAW story in the sense of describing the 'end of the world as we know it' scenario their ancestors encountered, but rather focuses on what the world might look like generations later.

I'm going to work on it starting next week probably. That really was supposed to be a lark, lol. But you're not the only one after me to finish it, and I'm going to try and concentrate more on it now that other projects are finished. I promise. I'm glad you like it, too.

Thank you BK, for an enjoyable but totally unproductive weekend. I LOVED Parno's Company and literally could not put it down. My Kindle battery died on me right at the last chapter and had to be plugged in. I paced back and forth wringing my hands until it got up to a 5% charge so I could finish it.

Please, please tell me we won't have to wait long for book 2!

I'll leave an Amazon review for you soon, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Book 2 depends on your definition of long, lol. It should, Lord willing, be available later this year, I hope by summer if not sooner. I can't promise that as I have some medical issues that have to be dealt with, so I don't know how long I'll be out of service so to speak :D

But Book 2 is already well underway, and Book 3 is already outlined. I don't like waiting either! When I'm reading, I need to know what's next, lol.

Bad- I am "cussing" you this morning since I stayed up waaaaayyyy too late last night reading your book!! Lol.

Seriously, it was outstanding and I will post a review. One minor editing issue I saw (that if you can should be corrected since some amazon reviewers are way too picky about that stuff imho). When mammon is reading the missive from parno and approaching his father, he king- you often state "parno" is approaching the king not mammon. Simple slip. Can't remember the exact location, will try to find it and let you know.

And I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting what happens with Nasil and the southron kingdom!!

If you do find it again I would definitely appreciate the location. You aren't the first one to call this to my attention, but I cannot for the life of me see it. I may be looking in the wrong place. I'm sorry you were up late, :D, but I'm glad you liked the book! :eleph: And thanks for letting me know!

Found it!! Chapter 21. Where mammon is receiving word that the nor is attacking. About 4th paragraph in, he dispatched a courier to get therron to come see the king. Then you state "parno resumed his walk." Next paragraph also states parno, then paragraph after that switches to mammon.

Does that help? I may have the paragraph off since I am reading on my phone...

Read it, found it very entertaining and am in line with the others for your next effort. I can see this as being much more than a three book series, unless that what you've got in mind for it.

bad_karma00 I just finished parno's company, what a fantastic story, could not stop reading it. I hate to ask but when is Parno's Destiny going to be released. Please let us know when It is available, thanks again for the story.

Parno's Destiny is already under construction, lol. I can't give you a hard date yet, but I'm hoping for a fall release. I'm about to have surgery though, and I don't yet know what my recovery schedule will be. One of those 'we don't know how it will be until it's done' kind of things.

I'm also working on a couple of new PAW tales, having at long last been bitten by the Zombie bug. I'm trying to do something different though, so hopefully they won't be boring.

And last but not least I am working on finishing my Christmas Noir tale, The Bonespear Chronicles. I definitely take on too much at one time, lol.

I'm glad you liked Parno. That story went through several evolutions before it gelled into the story you read. There is also a prequel trilogy to Parno, but. . .that's another job for another time, Lord willing I make it that far.
