Christians And Conservatives Can Go Back To Sleep Now, Because The Boogey Man Is Gone

By Chuck Baldwin

Food For Thought From The Chuck Wagon
November 5, 2004

On November 2, millions of evangelical Christians and social conservatives awakened from their traditional four year hibernation just in time to reelect President George W. Bush. What horrid event awakened them? It was the presence of a big, bad Boogey Man named John Kerry.

Boogey Man Kerry was a dreadful monster. He drank blood. He bit the heads off birds. He mutilated animals. He huffed and puffed and blew down houses. He pushed little old ladies down staircases. He played polo with human skulls. As a child, his favorite game was Kick The Cat. He was a heinous creature. However, Christians and conservatives can now go back to sleep, because the dreaded Boogey Man is gone.

After all, snoozing is what Christians and conservatives do best. Their naps come in four year increments disturbed only every presidential election cycle by the pounding footsteps of the latest Democratic Boogey Man. And now that the Boogey Man is gone, they can all go back to beddy-bye.

In the event, however, that a few Christians or conservatives are still only putting on their pajamas and have not yet quite made it back to the sack, let me tell you what you missed the last four years while you were unconscious:

*Your Knight-In-Shining-Armor, G.W. Bush, superintended over the deaths of more than four million innocent, unborn babies and did nothing to stop the slaughter.

*Your "anointed" leader increased federal funding for abortions at home and abroad to record levels.

*Your "pro-family" president appointed numerous open homosexuals to high office within the federal government.

*Your "conservative" president increased federal spending more than any administration, Republican or Democrat, in modern memory.

*This "staunch defender of limited government" increased the size and scope of the federal government by pushing through Congress legislation creating federal police powers that can only be described as despotic and tyrannical.

*Your "hero of conservatism" increased funding for virtually every Great Society program ever invented. He increased funding for the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Legal Services Corporation, etc., etc.

*This wonderful president who desires to keep America "safe and secure" proposed granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, all of whom are criminals and many of whom are potential terrorists.

*Before you went to sleep four years ago, gasoline prices averaged less than $1.25 a gallon. When you recently got out of bed, did you happen to notice that due to Bush's energy policies, gas prices now exceed $2.00 a gallon?

I could tell you much more of what you missed while you were sleeping, but it only might cause you to stay awake, and we must not let that happen. So, have a good four year nap and know that the Boogey Man is gone. I'm sure you'll wake up in time to chase away the next Democratic Boogey Man in 2008.

Of course, we can't know how many more liberties we will lose and how many more unborn babies will be killed and how many more tax dollars our federal government will be spending by 2008. But that's one of the great advantages of being asleep, isn't it?

So, Good Night. See you in four years.

Of course, Lord Bush is back on his thron, and now he says he has all the American people behind him. Damn, what a danger that sounds like. Why do you think his staff is dropping out or attempting to drop out? They don't want their names tagged for the historians to trash after what this tyrant has planned. Thats one reason I didn't vote for him, that way I can point fingers at the mindless American's that did. Lash me if you want, but it's the truth and you know it. :shk:

*Your Knight-In-Shining-Armor, G.W. Bush, superintended over the deaths of more than four million innocent, unborn babies and did nothing to stop the slaughter.

"Superintended"??

What an imbecile!

I guess Chuck has no working knowledge of the fact that No. 1 - the President CANNOT CREATE ANY LEGISLATION, but HE DID push to get partial birth Abortions banned AND HE SIGNED THE BILL - which the Supreme Court immediately overturned - and 2- It has been accepted that a woman has a Constitutional Right to kill her baby should she choose to.

*Your "anointed" leader increased federal funding for abortions at home and abroad to record levels.

He wasn't "annointed" - he was elected. He was just given a mandate in his re-election. As with number ONE - Bush has no power over the national purse strings - CONGRESS handles what gets funded, and they are clever to make sure such funding is attached to things like: pay raises for Servicemen and women.

*Your "pro-family" president appointed numerous open homosexuals to high office within the federal government.

Like WHO? And are they "Open" or has it been "discovered" they have a penchant for that lifestyle?

Is it possible Bush selected his staff based on Job ability, REGARDLESS of what their sexual perversions might be?

*Your "conservative" president increased federal spending more than any administration, Republican or Democrat, in modern memory.

Again - Congress sets the budget. We are also at war.

Perhaps we need to scrap all the bullshit welfare programs and give all of that wasted cash to making better and more lethal weaponry to defeat the Jihadist ragheads?

Like that would fly.

*This "staunch defender of limited government" increased the size and scope of the federal government by pushing through Congress legislation creating federal police powers that can only be described as despotic and tyrannical.

Most of it WRITTEN by the Democrats in response to Waco and the OKC bombing.

*Your "hero of conservatism" increased funding for virtually every Great Society program ever invented. He increased funding for the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Legal Services Corporation, etc., etc.

Are you deaf? Are you not hearing and seeing the incredible vitriol and rage foaming out there by the Left that LIVES and EXISTS off those programs that Bush signed INCREASES FOR???

I can only imagine what would have happened if Bush DID axe those programs.

He'd be dead by now. Brutus would have made sure he was knifed in the back before the rest of Congress descended on him to vent their rage.

*This wonderful president who desires to keep America "safe and secure" proposed granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, all of whom are criminals and many of whom are potential terrorists.

Yes, very stupid. The entire idea of "New Tone" I thought was stupid. But minorities have a louder voice of griping and complaining about everything and politicians are 'sensitive' to voter blocs.

*Before you went to sleep four years ago, gasoline prices averaged less than $1.25 a gallon. When you recently got out of bed, did you happen to notice that due to Bush's energy policies, gas prices now exceed $2.00 a gallon?

Simple. The Left, including the EnviroNazis will not allow any drilling, mining or refining in our own back yards any more - so we are stuck relying on OPEC to fill the bill. No one wants a refinery in their vicinity, but everyone wants a giant SUV and cheap gas.

One or the other - but the Sheeple close the eyes and ears. See, hear and speak of no dilemma - unless Bush can be blamed for it all.

So, have a good four year nap and know that the Boogey Man is gone. I'm sure you'll wake up in time to chase away the next Democratic Boogey Man in 2008.

Leftist Boogey Man never goes away. They find new ways to assault our Republic and liberties on a continual basis.

Of course, we can't know how many more liberties we will lose and how many more unborn babies will be killed and how many more tax dollars our federal government will be spending by 2008. But that's one of the great advantages of being asleep, isn't it?

Well Chuck, get informed and get yer ass out there to WAKE UP the slumbering Christians. I don't see you doing anything but complain.

If we are truly going to fix all these ills and woes you are raving about - then they are going to come from the bottom-up, not from the top down.

Maybe you should focus on getting Christians to Stand in the gap, OVERCOME their own hang-ups and sins and LIVE the life they were called to instead of paying it merely lip service. Churchinaity is a social-club Chuck. You and the other Church leadership have not done the job of getting your flock equipped and engaged. Instead you have appeased the people into buying stuff from your ministry and having emotional experiences that last only as long as the music is playing. Churchianity now holds that judging right from wrong, sin from righteousness as it comes to our culture is a worse sin than all the abominations listed in scripture.

Once Saved always Saved yes Chuck? Nothing else required?

Since the Church has rolled over to sleep over the last 4 decades and allowed the Left to Secularize the culture Chuck - all I can say is: Where were you the last 40 years, and how is your 501c3 status holding up?

Chuck Baldwin is not a liberal. He is the VP candidate of the Constitution Party. the last time I looked, we constitutionalists are so incredibly conservative that we see Bush for the socialistic fascist he is.

How long must we listen to the crying? I didn't vote for Bush and I don't like some of the things he has done, but I didn't vote for Kerry either. And I'm sick of everyone who thinks their life would be one big piece of cake if Sir Kerry was sitting on the toilet in the white house. If you would open your eyes, you might see that there are looming troubles ahead, and did not matter who won, they will happen. I wish Keery had won, so we could laugh when things crash. I didn't vote for Kerry because he is the most liberal senator alive. Had they run a moderate I would have voted for him. He voted against every weapon system the military ever wanted, and he voted several times to cut the budget of the CIA. And then he is going to bring in government funded health care, fight a more effective war in Iraq, increae home land security, then reduce the deficit in half. Is he using a broken calculator? And why now was he willing to strengthen the military and intelligence after 27 years of voting against them? Hve you noticed all the problems Canadians are having with there health care system? (Probably not cause of the media rarely reports it.) It's going broke. Yeah, they want to import perscriptions, but Canadians are coming down here for surgeries.

I'm sick of hearing about the war in Iraq. Klintoon started a war in Kosovo. And we bombed a bunch of farmers on tractors thinking they were military vehicles. And he went there without France's approval. Where was the outrage when those innocent farmers were fried? He got a pass cause he's a liberal!

And the looming economic problems will be blamed on Bush when they happen. You can all play the blame game. These problems started about 20 or 30 years ago and they have been in the making all along. And if the dems have the great answer to the economy, then why couldn't I find a job when Sir Jimmy Carter was in office? The economy stunk!

And the evil social security! That whole system is a scam! My father died at 54 yrs old. Did my mother or our family get anything? NO! The system should be run like a trust. We should of got something of what my father paid in. You should put in, and it sits there and then you get it back when you retire, or your family gets it when you die. I'm glad to see it go private. So it sits somewhere safe, and comes back out to ME!

If you cared at all about your family, you would not be playing the blame game, you would be preparing for the looming crash that would have came even if Kerry won.

Then Baldwin isn't playing with a full deck and has about as much knowledge of the Constitution as a French marxist.

It's an oxymoron he's the VP Candidate of the Constitution Party when his charges fly in the face of the Constitution itself!

Or is Chuck simply pandering to the emoting portion of the Right Wing?

Sorry, Chuck has shown himself here to be devoid of a legitimate argument outside of blind sour grapes. He ignored the Constitutional provisions of the Executive and legislative branches, ignored things Bush DID try to enact, ignored political reality and ignored facts.

Not a good way to make a point....with anyone.

The problem began with apathy from the bottom-up. It will have to be fixed in the same way.

Want to stop abortion?

RAISE YOUR KIDS WITH A MORAL FOUNDATION.

Want to stop funding nonsense programs and endowments?

RAISE YOUR KIDS TO STOP ASKING FOR EASY HANDOUTS AND APPLY THEMSELVES IN SCHOOL.

Want to have politicans who have honesty and integrity and a respect for our Principles and Constitution?

RAISE YOUR KIDS WITH THOSE CHARACTER TRAITS AND PRACTICE THOSE VIRTUES YOURSELF.

Our culture didn't devolve into the cesspool it is overnight.

It isn't going to get out of the cesspool overnight.

Electing a President isn't going to get us out of there overnight or in 4 years either.

Perhaps Chuck needs to focus his attentions on helping the brethren LIVE what he preaches and they all give lip service to.

Gee, no wonder Bush won. Just how many cross-over democrats were there? Had the media played this up before the election the democrats might even have nominated Bush themselves.

And I though we were a divided country!

I think it is great, that all I have to do is come out once every 4 years to defeat the foe. Doesn't say to much for the strength of the Democrats, does it? Nap time..

Try being a conservative Democrat taking shots from both sides of the ~~~~!

I don't have to like Bush, but at least this time around I can accept him as president having legitimately stolen the election the good old fashioned American way. I do believe he stole the election, but then again, I also believe that Kennedy and a host of other presidents also stole the election. You gotta give W (or Rove) credit for figuring out how to pull it off without having a repeat of the Florida fiasco.

That said, he is my president and Commander in Chief until the next election. Or better yet, the next impeachment. :D

Till then, he's the man.
