At first I thought he was one of the good guys, but now I'm not so sure. Opinions and information would be appreciated before I go all conspiracy theorist on myself about him.

I don't know much about him ( he does seem to have done an 'about face' on some issues which is worrisome ) but he sure seems better than this guy:

Mike Pence Was Just Greeted In Colorado With An Unpleasant Surprise
By Laura Conway -
Jun 25, 2017

While President Trump is guided by no political ideology but the pursuit of personal victories, Vice President Pence is a deveoted old school conservative — not 1950’s suburbia old school, 1690’s Salem old school.

Pence — the anti-choice, anti-gay, anti-woman former Indiana Governor — made headlines recently for saying he will not allow himself to be in a room alone with a woman besides his wife. Though this may have caused sighs of relief from women around the country, it also presents a precarious challenge for any woman who has ambitions in the Office of the Vice President if the boss refuses to be alone with her.

Sexist? Obviously. Problematic for Trump supporters? Doubtful.

For a handful of clever Colorado women, however, they found a great way to call attention to Pence’s misogyny. (Images below.)

The Colorado women found inspiration in Margaret Atwood’s best-selling novel turned hit Hulu series, welcoming Pence to Colorado dressed in the garb of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. The story of a dystopian future in which women are brutalized by a male regime that forbids their reading and has reduced females to property.

Calling attention to the similarities between the fictional authoritarian regime and the bigotry-fueled aspirations of the current presidency, the women took to the streets in the show’s red frocks and white hoods in advance of Pence’s speech to Focus on the Family, an extreme right-wing group that has popularized many of the Vice President’s more oppressive positions limiting the rights groups that are commonly discriminated against.

“It’s a way of showing that Focus on the Family and Mike Pence stand for very restrictive, ‘traditional’ gender roles, opposition to choice for women and anti-LGBTQ positions,” Unite Colorado Springs’ Ryan Barry told The Denver Post, calling the group a “backwards organization that’s promoting stuff that’s far beyond what most of us would consider applicable for modern society.”

The Handmaid’s Tale is a dark, disturbing literary work that, as these women remind us, hits uncomfortably close to home in Trump and Pence’s America.

Images of the demonstration are below.

Don't know very much about him; he's invisible these days. But he acts (to me) like someone who needs a corncob removed from a cavity.

He was in state politics ( Indiana ) for a number of years.... considered by most here, with the exception of unions, as a good man. He is a good stand up conservative.

Why which, that I thought he was one of the good guys or that I'm not so sure.

I thought he was a good guy because President Trump picked him, and not so sure not because I keep reading or hearing negative think about him, like he is preparing to take over as POTUS.

I just want to point out that this Laura Conway is a total liberal Cheese who although she has accused Pence of being a misogynist, from reading some of her work, I get the 'odor' of misandry from her.

Being what the political climate has been towards republicans these past couple of years, and how dirty the liberals play, I think it is very wise for Pence to Not Be Alone with any woman but his wife so as not to be accused of any false moves on his part.

Or open himself up to extortion.

I can see why he's doing this, that Chica Laura Conway sounds like a militant feminazi who sees Pence's moves through the eyes of an misandrist.

So Laura Conway, you should add 'Media Bias' to your bio. V

Well said Vessie.

Most of your .05% of lgbtqzwmno's? Just remember, Trump/Pence were voted into office, not appointed, so no, it isn't most of US who consider what they are promoting as non-applicable for modern society. Arrogant, control freak schmuck.

Pence was discussed to death over the past 18 months. Were you just not here for any of those discussions? I mean literally dozens of times. Same questions, same responses, etc, etc... :kk1:

My jury on Pence is still out but statements like this make me crazy! Because he won't meet with a woman alone is not sexist, discriminatory, anti-woman nor misogynistic. It's called wise.

My DH and most of our male friends share the same philosophy. It takes away the possibility of being "tempted" and removes any chance for false accusations.

For Spence who has been public about his Christian stand and given the current political atmosphere, you would be naive to think there wouldn't be people gunning for him. He can easily meet with female staff in his office and just keep the door open. A no brainer on the safe side.

Met the older brother of a friend at the State HS BBall championship. He flew into Billings to watch his niece play. Over beers he related that he lived in Columbus. He grew up next door to the Pences and they went to the same parish. His mother still goes to church with Pence's mom.

He said Pence is now an Evengelical but comes to Mass sometimes.

He said in his opinion Pence is the real deal.

That does not mean he is a RINO.
