Howdy, Folks!

I ran across this video this evening - it is an episode of "The Boondocks" from 2010.

The only thing it doesn't have is the phrase "social distancing."

Other than that - it's absolutely SPOT ON! Incredibly prescient.

Enjoy!

Howdy, Folks!

I honestly think some of the writing in this is amazingly well done in relation to how the safe house of The Freemans goes from 3 people to 9.

- The Prepper is talking to a little girl, who innocently asks to be allowed to stay if things get bad. The prepper informs the child there aren't enough supplies to save more than the prepper and the prepper's immediate family. The child obviously trusts the prepper and is actively interested in the situation (unlike the prepper's immediately family members) and is even helping the prepper with the preps, and asks if the prepper could arrange the survival plan to allow one more. The prepper agrees.

- The prepper's brother invites a friend to shelter with them in the grandfather's house. The grandfather of the prepper and his brother tells the prepper he does not play favorites, and as the prepper has a friend staying, they now have 2 more people (the friend brought a friend as well).

- As the boys each have a friend, the grandfather decides he should have a friend as well.

- the parents of the little girl know about the neighbor's plans, and ask to come in and stay.

While funny, the way this is all presented is pretty realistic and totally plausible.

It's a great reminder that if you are prepping for a situation - KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

As Huey says, "I can't save everyone else. If I try, I'd just end up saving nobody."

Absolutely prescient (or prepper stereotypical, I don't know which). Something there to insult everyone, either way. Kudos, Donald.

Can we play King’s speech over loud speakers at the marches?

Ah yes, that was one of the best. Not quite as good as the sudden return of Martin Luther King Jr, but still!
