CORONA Oklahoma Takes Nurse’s Kids Away Because She ‘Might’ Given Them Coronavirus

An Oklahoma nurse was shocked when a court took her children away from her last week just because she “might” expose them to the coronavirus after she comes home from work.
An Oklahoma judge issued an ex parte emergency order to take clinic worker Katie Spencer’s kids away from her because of her work with the coronavirus crisis.
“The police showed up on my doorstep at 10 PM and took my kids from me because I WORK IN A CLINIC and a judge signed off on this because of my ‘exposure to the coronavirus.’ Just a heads up to nurses, doctors, firefighters, police officers, and other first responders who have children and sneaky exes…watch your backs!” she wrote.
She then added, “I do NOT have a history of abuse, he does though – his current girlfriend and I have both had VPO’s for domestic abuse by strangulation against him and she has had him arrested in Oklahoma County for it. I also have NO history of neglecting my children.”

It was later learned that Spencer’s former spouse had filed an “Emergency Motion to Modify Custody and for Pick-Up Order Due to Respondent Spencer’s Exposure to Coronavirus.”
The judge’s March 20 order, which led to the law enforcement pick-up of the medical worker’s children, states: “the Petitioner alleged, and submitted documents in support, that the Respondent alleged proximity to Coronavirus.”
“The Court takes judicial notice there is at present no vaccination, though children are generally less susceptible to the virus’ effects it is highly contagious and lethal,” the judge added.

District Judge Michael C. Smith insisted that he did what was best for the kids, especially because one of the children had pre-existing health issues.
After the media began looking into the judge’s actions, he quickly slapped a gag order on anyone who might talk to the press.
Breitbart Texas also discovered that the woman’s former husband has a violent history of sexual assault and has children by other women. So, the judge took kids away from a loving mother and gave them to a felon.

Again, like I commented in the Vermont shopping crackdown thread.... if WE AMERICANS don't stand up and fight this $-hit, NOW!!!!! the Liberal Commies are going to continue to walk all over us.

And how. They're just starting to get their talon's in us. If we sit back for another 30 days (think Donny asked for another 30 days....) we could be royally screwed. Correction - WILL BE royally screwed.

On the other side of this, the collective memory of crap like this will carry over. Stupid will hurt, it is just going to take time to sort out.

Judging from his appearance and what looks like a rug I'm guessing the judge in question is aging into a CV-19 higher risk group. This decision could bite him in the hind quarters and that may happen before election day if he gets CV.

I suspect this blog post will be scrubbed shortly. If this is a sample of how he executes his judicial powers I'm surprised he's still employed by the state of Texas. What kind of president is he setting putting kids in the hands of a known felon and abuser?

Fair use.

Good catch my bad. I was confused. The nurse was from Oklahoma according to the article. Still trying to figure out where the judge operates.

The OP also said:
"Breitbart Texas also discovered that the woman’s former husband has a violent history of sexual assault and has children by other women. So, the judge took kids away from a loving mother and gave them to a felon."

Deleted post.

If this stands I can only imagine how many medical people will walk away from their jobs and I don't blame them a bit.
Just another way to get the kids away from good people so they can teach the kids their evil agenda and foul their souls. I can smell their desperation.
She might teach them "VALUES".

She should have left the kids with her parents, quit, or transferred to to working with mom vivid patients. . Many doctors and nurses have done that to avoid taking it home. No job is worth get kids sick with a potentially deadly virus. American kids have died from this. Single mothers have no business working with covid patient's.

But the matra that our first loyalty is to the job is still out there. Which is poison. Her loyalty is supposed to be to her kids.

It doesn't sound like the Judge gave her the option. From the OP it said the nurse: "WORK IN A CLINIC". The caps are from the OP.

I think it also needs to be nullified in a court ?
In law isn't a precedent extremely important in future decisions ??

If the nurses walk, locals will be up in arms.

This judge will probably rescind this in short order.

Imagine what kind of "care" the judge will receive if gets CV and healthcare workers figure out who he is and what he's done? God is just. God also has a wicked sense of humor.

Indeed. I have never understood why any doctor would knowingly give care to any lawyer who pursues medical malpractice suits. Let a hotshot shyster's trophy wife not be able to get care for her oozing slit anywhere except from a "No hable Englis" guy wearing a black butcher's apron in the back of a 25-YO rusty van in an alley, and you'll see an Esquire changing professional specialization that day.

This is seriously hard to believe. If it’s really true, then I agree that healthcare workers may be leaving in droves.

I wonder if this magistrate has been following the news, not only regarding Covid-19 but also the massive sales of firearms and ammunition?

This did not happen in Texas. It's a Tribal Court Division in Oklahoma (Sac & Fox). I don't have access to their court records. As far as his felony charge (Tulsa County, Case No. CF-2018-1098) the charges were Domestic A&B by Strangulation. The case was dismissed by the D.A. as the witness did not show up for the preliminary hearing. He also had Tulsa County PO-2018-411 (protective order) which was dismissed by the complainant. Both cases stemmed from the same incident, which would have been a complaint of Domestic A&B by Strangulation. I don't find any other criminal cases in Oklahoma. The reason you can't find a record of the judge is because it is Tribal Court, not District Court. The asshat in question filed an application for emergency custody, which means there most likely was never a hearing. He just got some slick (slimy) attorney to draft up the paperwork and convince the judge (lowercase intentional) to sign it, then got LEO to pick up the kids.

Things are way different in Tribal Court than they are in "regular" court. Not saying you couldn't accomplish the same thing, but a District Judge is held a little more accountable than a Tribal Judge. I'm guessing there's a whole bunch of back story here.

At any rate, this is pure bullshit.

Tribal court?

I wonder if this judge got a little bonus?

Probably not. IIRC from what was able to dig up, he is native american, while she is not. Tribal Courts ALWAYS side with the tribal members. The only "bonus" that would have been necessary was the knowledge that the complaining party was a tribal member while the other party was not.

i found him he is here .

Tribal Court - Sac and Fox Nation

go to staff tab and he is in second row far left

This is from a First Nation website? So is he a OK State District Judge or a Tribal Council District Judge?

Either way he looks like he falls into a higher risk age category for the CV-19 virus. If he's still presiding over public cases in open court without proper PPE's, it's only a matter of when not if he'll be exposed.

Ontario implements province-wide fire restrictions

TORONTO — The Ontario government is taking action to protect people and communities from the risk of preventable human-caused fires and to ensure that the province’s emergency response system remains strong during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Starting April 3, 2020, Ontario’s entire legislated fire region will be designated a Restricted Fire Zone. Residents who live in an area with a restricted fire zone cannot have an outdoor fire—this includes burning of grass, debris and campfires, even when using an outdoor fire grate, fire place or fire pit.

“During this very challenging time when we are fighting the spread of the virus, our number one priority is the health and safety of the people of Ontario,” said John Yakabuski, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry. “We are putting these important preventative measures in place now to ensure that our emergency responders are able to focus their efforts where they are needed most.”

This restriction will remain in place until Ontario’s ability to respond to emergencies is no longer impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Local municipalities are working to update their websites with information for residents. Meanwhile, Ontarians can learn about the rules under a Restricted Fire Zone at ontario.ca/page/outdoor-fire-restrictions.

Quick Facts
  • To see a map of Ontario’s fire region, visit ontario.ca/forestfires.
  • Visit Ontario’s website to learn more about how the province continues to protect Ontarians from COVID-19.
