An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor after taking one of Nancy Pelosi’s beers from her office on January 6.

Andrew Craig Ericson, 24, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. Prosecutors will drop three related misdemeanor charges in exchange for his plea. Ericson said in a signed statement that he is pleading guilty because he is in fact guilty.

He will face six months in federal prison and a $5,000 fine after he was tipped off to the FBI by someone who had known him since high school.

Six months in prison for one beer?

Ericson posted a photo of himself on Snapchat while sitting comfortably with his feet on a table at Pelosi’s conference room and taking a beer out of a mini-refrigerator.

In a written statement of his offense, Ericson acknowledged taking a beer out of the mini-refrigerator “while inside the Speaker’s Conference Room or other office space.”
He also acknowledged he took a photograph of himself in the conference room “and had someone photograph him seated with his feet on a conference table.”
He further acknowledged he made “cheering sounds” while in the U.S. Capitol and knew he did not have permission to enter there.
His plea was the result of a deal with prosecutors. He agreed to pay $500 in restitution.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors agreed to ask the judge to dismiss three other counts against him at sentencing.
The sentencing is set for Dec. 10 at the federal courthouse in Washington, D.C.

That would be completely outrageous - and worthy of something the French nobility might have done to the peasants before the revolution....

But, "The sentencing is set for Dec. 10" --- so chances are high that he pays the $500 fine and gets a suspended sentence. Hopefully at least!

WAIT - how could he have known it was HER beer? Was her name on it?

More likely it was planted there as entrapment - after all Pelosi et al ALL knew what was coming. They in fact aided and abetted it with both Federal Agents undercover, pulled back Capital Police, and moving the bike racks.

"So what brand of beer does a deplorable flyover-country hick drink anyway? Pabst Blue Ribbon. Of course."

"Get a six pack and have it in the dorm fridge."
