PREP NukAlert price increase (1st in 20+ yrs) coming soon...

The NukAlert is out of production, only about 5,000 remaining,
and we'd not increased the MSRP of $160 since its original
inception, over 20 years ago.

February 15th the retail price will go up to $180, though it will
still include free shipping.

Our wholesale will also be going up $20, so our dealers will
all be raising their prices, too, probably about the same time.

Anyways, if you want one, or another, you can still buy now at
the old $160. And, of course, quick as anything goes 'boom' in
the world that remaining inventory won't last long.

Battery replace still available?
Yes, However, if your older NukAlert is still ticking or clicking
when held close to your ear, it's fine and likely will stay so for
many more years as the battery was originally rated for 18.2
years when installed. Only being frequently exposed to high
heat or constant alarming would erode that lifespan quicker.

If no sound, or just want a fresher battery, you can ship it to
our address below with $35 and we’ll replace the battery.

No ticking with change in temp. IIRC this may be 25 yrs old now(?)

Bar code on side 10019098

well now its chirping, took it from 50 degree front room to 68 degree bedroom it took 10 mins before chirping.
guess I'm ok.

ETA: I think this one has had a battery change, first one didn't have bar code and case looks new. Anyway I can't remember exactly but It should be good.

Shane,

Will you continue to do so in the future, or just until the current stock runs out?

I have one that I keep tightly wrapped in bronze wool and aluminum foil for EMP shielding. I can still hear it ticking away, though, inside it's metal cocoon. I'd have been willing to pay $200 for one if you had shipped them in a small resealable certified EMP-proof container.

EMP should not be an issue, in selling to DoD they'd first required submission
of it to the Naval Air Warfare Center for military EMP testing, it had passed fine.

Great information! I went and dug ours out of a drawer. It’s about 15-16 years old. No ticking so I’ll be sending it in.

Dealer just called, told me to box up 1,000 NukAlerts,
that he would be wiring funds early this week. That
then will put us at only 4,000 NukAlerts remaining...

Thanks for the heads up Shane, it made me remember that I lost my last one back in Feb '22! Had been carrying it since God only knows how far back (already had one battery replacement several years ago) but misplaced it in the rush to get home from S.C. when Russia moved on Ukraine.
The new one arrived this morning and is noisily adjusting to room temperature from the -16 degree outdoors... a comforting sound to hear again in these tumultuous times.

Shane and his group are AWESOME at warranty replacements. I thought I lost mine at work only to find it several years later in the garden. Sent it in and his folks fixed it.

Shane, have you ever done a what is inside a nuke alert and warning why you don't take them apart?

Shane, a couple of questions:

You mentioned the current NukAlert is out of production. Do you plan to produce a new and improved nuclear alert device?

Also, do you plan to produce and sell more of the NukAlert-ER devices?

In these days and times of increased nuclear threats from Russia and China, inquiring minds would like to know! Thanks so much for providing such devices and such great support for them over the years!

Unfortunately, "no" to all questions above, however we'll have a good quantity of the "Oh Shucks Meter" which will give people a quick pass/fail re radiation exposure that will allow most then to opt out of the inevitable and widespread fallout panic stampede.

NUKAlert's are like flashlights and multi-tools. The old three is two, two is one, and one is none philosophy applies... especially is there is more than one person in your household.
