Nikki R. Haley, Governor of South Carolina

Nimrata Nikki Randhawa Haley is the Governor of South Carolina. She is a member of the Republican Party.

She is one of the two Indian Americans to be included in the Young Global Leaders' list by the WEF.

Haley is the first Indian and the first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, she also displaced Jindal as the youngest current governor in the United States.

And "none of the above" exists why?

Washington — Nevada hosted its first-in-the-West presidential nominating contest on Tuesday. But the 2024 process features new twists with two GOP events this week — a primary and caucuses — creating an unusual scenario where the leading Republican White House hopefuls won't directly face off in the Silver State.

While the state hosted Democratic and Republican primaries on Tuesday, the GOP opted to hold onto the traditional caucuses, with Republican caucuses set for Thursday in addition to Tuesday's state-run primary.

Former President Donald Trump was not on Tuesday's primary ballot, while former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is not on the ballot in Thursday's caucuses.

That led to a surprising result in Nevada's Republican primary Tuesday, with CBS News projecting that Haley had come in second to the "none of these candidates" category, delivering what is likely to be a huge blow to her campaign.

With 58% of precincts reporting late Tuesday, the "none of these candidates category" had 60% of the vote, with Haley at 33%.

As it turns out the Caucuses alone control the delegates who are sent to the Republican National Primary Convention 2024 Republican National Convention - Wikipedia held July 15-18, 2024. The primary vote controls NONE of the delegates. Primary exists as a sort of "beauty contest."

Convention will likely be "Trump heavy" on Nevada Delegates.

Much is made of her Punjabi background but IIRC, "kaur" (from her mother) and "singh" (from her father) indicate she is a Sikh by DNA & heritage.

Probably not important in the over all scheme of things.

If the spotlight gets too bright on the WEF, the roaches will scatter to reform later under a different umbrella.

I'm sure he doesn't hear it. WTF is going on with bringing up Abbott in all these threads NOT AT ALL about Abbott?

Because I live in Texas. This thread is about WEF. Abbott would not renounce WEF.

Did I hit a sensitive spot? I want to hold people accountable. That is WTF.

Are you sure about that?
I'm a native Texan, and still live here. IF Abbott is a WEF member (and he probably is) I'm not happy about it either. Just because there is a page about him on the WEF website doesn’t mean he's a member, sometimes they highlight guests.

Agreed, he should denounce the organization, but member or not, politicians don't like to denounce groups they find politically useful. It's a disappointing fact.

I think the sensitive spot is now that Abbott is doing something, anything, independent of the Feds in regards to the border, there has been this groundswell of this "burn the witch" attitude. Then people run around the board asking Abbott if he's listening, like he's reading TB2K. It's weird.

Let me also say, I realize you said renounce, not denounce. If Abbott is indeed a member, he should renounce his membership. If he is not a member, he should cut ties and denounce the WEF.
