Little Rock, Arkansas has been arrested after a toddler reportedly fell from a moving vehicle and died on a busy highway after being left for over an hour.
Local ABC News affiliate
KABC-TV reports that Whitney Turner-Tyson, 30, was charged with capital murder, battery and endangerment Tuesday night after a two-year-old child was found critically injured on Interstate 30 in Benton, Arkansas.
Her arrest came hours after Arkansas State Police responded about 9 a.m. Tuesday to a report of what appeared to be a small child who “had been dropped from a moving vehicle.”
Witnesses said the toddler was lying on the motorway for over an hour. Tragically, the youngster died at the scene while state police troopers were waiting for medical help.
Arkansas State Police declined to confirm the toddler’s exact age or relationship to the woman. A Facebook page in Tyson-Turner’s name has photos of multiple children posted.

MEAWW reports, witnesses who watched on in horror as the toddler died on the busy highway said they initially thought the child was a “baby doll”.
“I saw blood and I saw a little girl,” said Tommy Berry. “So, I motioned to my wife to go ahead and call 911.”
Sarah Berry added of the traumatic scene: “I kept saying ‘God be with this child.’ I kept saying it. I didn’t know what else to say.”

The couple also said that a number of people passed by but no one stopped to help. “If you see something, at least report it. You don’t necessarily have to turn around and get on the side of the interstate. But if you see something that’s suspicious or gives you a gut feeling that may not be right, just call it in. The police will go to that spot,” Tommy urged.
