He's not on the proscribed list. I've never paid any attention to him before, but I have a faint impression that his stuff is VERY woo heavy. I'm taking that report with a truckload of salt... but not discarding it entirely, because of what I wrote above... NOTHING short of absolutely apocalyptic numbers can remotely justify the Chinese response.

Summerthyme
Hal Turner is a reputable source?

packyderms_wife

Neither here nor there.
Thank you for the responses I have a vague recollection of him predicting the end of the world way back when... I could be mistaking him for someone else though.

Yeah, that is actually the big disconnect with all these reports. Either the reported numbers are wrong for the reported response, or the reported numbers are correct and the reported response is wrong. But they can't both be right. They don't match up.

Very hard to believe... *except*... the actions taken by the Chinese government would make sense if it's true...

Summerthyme

This is what I'm thinking as well... there has to be more than 170 people dead for them to feel the need to quarantine 49 million people. And now we have various countries/airlines barring travel to and from China.

And it's a blind link. Please *at least* post a summary... but if it's behind a paywall, it would be polite to either copy the info here, or not link to it.

You have to pay to view the post.

I’m sorry; I didn’t know that. I only pay $1 a month for excellent, credible content from Adapt 2030, which is the source of the info I’ve posted (and more).

Ask yourself, what would it take for Russia to close its borders. A minor flu outbreak certainly wouldn’t do it!

I posted this because David warned that we in N. America have a week to ten days to ‘get ready,’ and to get the hell out of Dodge. And he’s never been an alarmist.

While I was sleeping did Communist China become a large soft cuddly Panda Bear?
Is the government of China well know for their overriding compassion for their people?
They have something like a million soft and cuddly Uygars in reeducation concentration camps!

They don't quarantine for anything except Islam. Not the flu. Not MERS. Not SARS.

But they have something like 16 or 17 major cities "restricted". Wuhan is quarantined. People being barricaded in their homes. Major countries of the world are canceling airline flights in and out of the country.

The US has a population of 320 million, about 1/5 of China, and we have 20,000 Flu deaths a year . . . and no quarantine.
China probably has the flu, don't you think. They probably have 20,000X5= 100,000 flue deaths a year.

But with this virus, they have 170 deaths and they quarantine 11 million people . . . or is it 50 or 100?
No sale.

They either have many, many more deaths OR the virus was engineered and studied - they have the research - and they know the estimates for survival. My guess is the later.

Summerthyme,

Apparently massive supply disruptions are expected here within the next 10 days - food. meds, and all other supplies, etc.

I don’t believe anyone on TB needs remedial instruction on what happens when a society runs out of food.

I’d love to be wrong about all of this, but then I’ve been aware of the ‘Reset’ probability for a while, and surely no one (here) can have missed the fact that N. America too has insufficient food even now. All this virus has done is push people’s awareness level ahead about 9 months.

I'm not either. And believe me, I'm NOT ignoring this! Interestingly, the two kids who have children (our grandchildren) are actually taking this seriously... I'm immensely grateful. My son-in-law apoarently told my DD, "I know you think your mom is silly about preparing, but I think we need to sit down and make a list of what we'll need to shelter in place for a month"! Fortunately, they have freezers full of our beef and chicken, and just bought half a hog from our son. So one good shopping run should get them up to speed. (Even better, they just moved into a new house... with a really nice pantry. DD told me that she now keeps "a lot" of food on hand, because she has a place to keep it, and it saves a lot of shopping.)

But there still is no *proof* it's as bad as some are claiming.

And I'm sorry, but I don't know of any food shortages in North America... some localized crop problems, such as 2 years of potato losses in Washington state and western Canada, but most of the crop problems involved feed for livestock, and they weren't bad enough to even raise the price of vorn and soy above the cost of production.

I've read , and seen photos or personal stories, of pretty much every claim mentioned in the headline. Not hitting my woo meter. More like old news.

I'm guessing this is the chart behind the paywall. But can't see it.

For those that buy beef they will start seeing shortages come late spring per my local butcher.

Knowing this was coming, most of us have long ago learned to grow food at home.

I tried to post a few pictures but the software wouldn’t let me. Pictures of signs in supermarkets apologizing for unavailable products, and a few pics of food growing indoors at home.

I’ll try again when I have a stronger signal.

Not that quickly with the exception of masks and other flu related essentials unless the general population panics and buys everything in sight. Most things that we import comes over in container ships and if if China totally stops exports at the ’normal’ burn rate it will take a few months to clean out the supply line.

Thanks for the Good (to me) news. I have to sell a couple head of beef this spring. should sell them now. But I've had a feeling I should hold on, buy the hay, and do a little robbing Peter to pay Paul kinda money issues so that I can keep them longer.

I have a posted message at work to wear FULL protective gear if i go into one, walk in center. They claim it's for another pathogen. I in my 26 years being in medical. Have never seen this, for just going into a walk in center!
I'm convinced, they had a suspected case in there. By the way, it was a STATE order!
I will post about it later in the BS.

BTW, I don't like being lied too by, the State. Back in NH, they would have never had done that. Been living in this new state for just over a year.

I looked at that web site and I see a couple pictures that were shared with me days ago. Almost a week actually out of Wuhan. The roads ARE being filled with dirt to block entry or exit. House arrest is basically in effect. Each section has patrols that visit every residence to monitor for illness at least daily.
My contact says food has run out. Hospitals were full and sending people home to basically die. If you were caught outside of your home, you risked being shot without question.
Now the really terrifying part. Internet access is basically nil at this point unless it goes through proper channels (inside the quarantine zones anyway). He also said the numbers of dead and infected are WAY off. He is fairly well off. And was trying desperately to get at least his wife and children out of Wuhan but said he was unable to do so for any amount of money. He also reported that after dark, teams returned to homes that were most likely reported as infected by the earlier visits (or dead) to remove entire families and corpses.
His last comm to anyone was Jan 25 when he sent the above info and a few pics. =( I've worked with him on several orders over the years and has always been honest and upfront about our dealings. I have no reason to doubt him. He basically sent out a cry for help getting his wife and 2 kids out of Wuhan or the country, if possible, to all his current and previous contacts when he had no luck himself.
Take it for what it is worth. 83404577_3095571267120308_7551214150374916096_n.jpg83356243_3095570687120366_8313232762769244160_n.jpg83098492_3095571283786973_8305769415278854144_n.jpg

I hope you’re right, Summerttyme!

I’ve been further researching and doing some thinking since I last posted (I work at night), and the ever-increasing restriction of travel interests me most.

We already know that Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 has, as one of its primary goals, the confining of people everywhere to their designated zones (think ‘Hunger Games’).

It occurs to me that the Wuhan Virus could serve as a lubricant to effect this particular mandate. This is JMHO, but I doubt that TPTB will lift the travel restriction controls when they are already in place. The next few weeks will be interesting.

The timeline of a week to 10 days to start seeing supply chain issues will be absolutely correct! Here is my thinking why:

Currently China is celebrating Chinese New Year and most everything is closed, including shipping and most other transport. This happens EVERY year and the JIT global market reflects this fact and prepares for this by ordering extra stock for duration of the holiday. That is also why most companies close their year end inventory on the last day of January. Historically this will be the companies lowest amount of inventory on hand and offers reduced tax liability as well so..

This means that when China comes back (or is supposed to come back) from holiday, there is going to be NO influx of new inventories to replenish the dwindling supply on hand...

Also there is always a shipping slow down when every factory in China clogs the transport carriers when they return from holiday. In addition to whatever didn't make it out of port before the holiday shutdown. This slow down typically makes a 10-15 day ship a 25-30 ship throughout the remainder of February and March.

The timing of the outbreak has been fortuitous IMO because the entire world had more supplies than normal on hand. That is about to change drastically though. IMO

The gov't there canceled all Chinese New Year celebrations.

Well, IF TRUE, this is one hell of a game changer, to put it mildly.

(I need to post these screenshots in 4 sequential parts because I don’t know how to do it any other way.)
