A suspected white supremacist is facing charges after allegedly ditching a bullet-riddled car containing three dead men in the parking lot of an Albuquerque hospital this week.

Richard Kuykendall, a 41-year-old with an “apparent association” with the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang, was charged Friday with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition for his role in the Wednesday triple homicide, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for New Mexico.

Prosecutors allege that after a deadly shootout in a nearby alley, Kuykendall drove to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital with the victims, removed his shirt and told a security officer “that there were three dead guys in the Chevy” before he walked away.

The criminal complaint—first obtained by Seamus Hughes, a researcher at George Washington University’s Program on Extremism and a Daily Beast contributor—notes that authorities only believe Kuykendall “may be responsible for the death of one of the three men.”
The victims, who have not yet been identified, were also members of the gang. Kuykendall is being held on bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque.

Prosecutors described the Aryan Brotherhood as a “nationwide prison gang that strives to control drug distribution and other illegal activity within state and federal prisons.” Formed by white inmates, it has about 20,000 members both in and out of prison and is known for using Nazi symbols, including swastikas and SS lightning bolts, the complaint states.

While authorities have not provided a motive for Wednesday’s slaying, the complaint notes that the gang is known for murdering or threatening members who do not remain loyal or pose a threat to the enterprise.

“The [Aryan Brotherhood] uses murder and the threat of murder to maintain a position of power within the prison and jail system,” the complaint states. “Inmates and others who do not follow the orders of the [Aryan Brotherhood] are subject to being murdered, as is anyone who uses violence against an [Aryan Brotherhood] member.”

Prosecutors state Kuykendall was walking in an alley behind a local pizza shop on Wednesday when a dark-colored Chevy Malibu pulled up behind him. When Kuykendall tried to get in the car, shots were immediately fired at him.

Kuykendall “ducked and maintained a low center of gravity as he ran around the front” of the car while shots were still being fired. He was able to jump in the car.

A few seconds later, Kuykendall exited the car and walked toward a dumpster, the complaint states. “Kuykendall remained next to the dumpster for nine seconds and then went back to the car.” The Albuquerque Police Department later found a 9mm pistol in the dumpster.
Prosecutors state that after possibly moving a person inside the car, Kuykendall got into the driver’s seat—on top of the presumably dead driver—and drove to the nearby hospital.

Once there, he took off his shirt, revealing several tattoos associated with the neo-Nazi group, including “a large letter B on his left shoulder and an iron cross on his left breast,” the complaint states.

When authorities arrived, they found a car “riddled with bullet holes” with a loaded pistol under the driver’s seat, an empty pistol on the back seat and spent bullet casings throughout the car, the complaint says.

It’s far from Kuykendall’s first run-in with the law. “Kuykendall has an impressive criminal history, with at least 35 arrests in New Mexico and Massachusetts,” the complaint states. His crimes range from forgery and identity theft to larceny and conspiracy, to an assault of a family member in 2018.

Man arrested in connection with Kaseman Hospital triple homicide

Updated: 6:31 PM MDT May 15, 2021

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Albuquerque police have arrested a man in connection with a triple homicide earlier this week.

According to a release APD’s SWAT team arrested 41-year-old Richard Kuykendall early Saturday morning. He was arrested on a federal warrant for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say they believe he was involved in a shooting that left three men dead Wednesday. According to police, the shooting happened during a confrontation in northeast Albuquerque. Three men were shot inside a car and then that car was driven and left in a parking lot at Kaseman Hospital.

Two of the three victims have been identified. They are 44 year old Brandon Torres and 41 year old James Fisher. The victims, along with Kuykendall, are linked to the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang.

At this time Kuykendall is only facing the federal firearm charge.

Ok, the writer appears to be a little grammar and descriptive challenged.

Is the man a suspect in the murder or is he a suspected gang member or is he a suspected "white supremacist" and member of the prison gang calling itself the Aryan Brotherhood?

I know I'm horribly dyslexic and make screwball mistakes but apparently I am not the only writer suffering from it.

The removal of his shirt might have had something to do with his "tattoos." Like he has to "prove"himself somehow?

"I'm dangerous and a member of the Aryan Brotherhood - see?"

Yeah, as scripted by someone who watches too many action films. It still stinks.

If you were to put the best, logical, construction on the story (and the cops have a VIDEO of the whole murder event) He was walking down an alley when a car began following him, then someone began shooting at him and/ or those in the car. He may likely have KNOWN the guys in the car, and may have been driven by them to the alley to meet someone. The car guys let him out for the meeting a little ways away, off camera, after which the AMBUSH shooting began. He hid by a dumpster till the shooting stopped, then approached the car.

Seeing everyone in the car shot, he realized that he could use the car to escape the dangerous area, he opened the door and moved the driver over, got in and drove the victims to the hospital.

Then, discovering everyone had apparantly died by the time he got there, he got out and removed his blood soaked shirt which got that way moving the driver, and because the inside of the car had blood everywhere!

The cops do not make such flat statements as "he hid by the dumpster for 9 seconds"
unless they have it in camera. I dont think they have much of anything (evidence) on him. Looks like he was the intended victim.

Bringing the bodies to the hospital.

That was mighty white of him.
Not strange if they were his buddies who had brought him there for the meet. To NOT bring his buddies to the hospital ASAP after the AMBUSH would have made him appear a disloyal coward to his other friends.

Now, that story I can go with.

money? whats that?
What gets me is that the OP says he went to the car and then the shooting started inside of it. Yet he ducked down and went to the front of the car and waited until the shooting stopped. THEN went to the dumpster to get rid of a 9mm. Sounds to me like something was going on inside the car before he even got near it.

Which is probably why the cops think he may be responsible for only one of them...

It's like birdwatching, so many species are so rare that when you spot one, it is an exciting moment. Like when the FBI says these sightings represent the most serious threat to our country; similarly, when a birdwatcher identifies the Blue-eyed Brown Dove and claims we are about to have an attack similar to Alfred Hitchcock’s THE BIRDS. It's really elementary there Watson... :kaid:

As we all know, the media doesn't always get it right and LEO's don't tell everything they know. That said, while I'm not saying it didn't happen I believe there is no mention in the OP about this guy actually shooting into the car. Which brings to mind, IF he had done any shooting, why would he drive the bodies to the hospital and announce there were bodies in the car? Something doesn't smell right.
