You're all correct about the slow cookers. That was another thing that didn't make the last move. I suspect there were two boxes of kitchen stuff that were shifted to the garbage pile instead of my truck. (long story) -- they are also on the list for replacement later this summer.

I use a toaster oven for baking meat and small batches of muffins and rolls. This newer one is energy efficient.

Cardinal: center cut pork chops -- these are somewhat thin but they were 8 for $6 something, so they came home with me. The rest of the meat was still sky high. If I hadn't found those, I would've pulled something from the freezer.

You need to come here and hit up the thrift sops, yeah it’s an all day pain in the ass experience, but I think you will come away with a crock pot, and a griddle.

And if you’re me you skip the thrift stores, get a coupon and purchase that way... time is money.

Yes . . . on the list for July, before fall back-to-school! I'm watching the CV-19 numbers. When Iowa hits a major decrease, I'll shop for kitchen stuff. I'm anticipating that will be about mid-July. Otherwise, I might just buy new from Target online and pick it up. I'll see what happens. If I don't get one, I still have a dutch oven and can do stews on the top of my stove. It's not that much higher. The highest cost is running the full-sized oven, which I try to avoid doing in the summer, but I've been baking bread, about 6 loaves at a time (and then I cut them in half and freeze them) because the commercial bread is just crap -- even the stuff at the HyVee bakery is full of soy flour. Ugh! No soy anything makes for a happier tummy!

What kind of pork chops? There are different cuts and they should not all be cooked the same.
My cinnamon concoction was pork loin. I usually had to cut in half to get all to fit in crock pot. But then I’m not going to study geometry to insert a pork loin into that space. lol

Similar to others' recipes but an easy fix so that' up my alley.

Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Brown pork chops in a cast iron skillet with a little oil. No need to cook them through. I don't coat them with flour but that would work, too. Meanwhile, fix a box of Aldi brand of Stove Top Stuffing (89 cents). When the pork chops have browned, heap the prepared stuffing onto the top of the chops. Put the skillet (covered) into the oven for about 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chops. (Mine are usually pretty thin...cheap.) If you have more stuffing than chops, put the stuffing around the chops right onto the cast iron. Mmmm, it gets crispy. Match that up with vegetables...eg. broccoli with cheese sauce and a home grown sliced tomato...and you've got a pleasant meal.

sautee some onion with those chops and then add the stuffing.

God has a plan, Trust it!
Pork Chops, butter, yellow peaches (1 will do), brown sugar and juice (I use apple).

Melt about 2 tbsp of butter in a frypan. When it begins to bubble, put the chops in a fry pan to brown and cook. Mid-way through, add sliced peaches, 1/3 cup of brown sugar and about 1/2 cup of juice. Finish cooking the chops. Serve with rice or veggies on the side.

Another way I do Chops is to cook them in a frypan with a jar of marinated peppers, juice from the can and all!

You can so out pineapple if you don’t have any peaches, or even fresh plums, pears, or apples.

That greatly helps, ladies! Thanks! My typical go-to pork chop recipe is to stuff an Iowa chop (very thick) with rice and raisins, but these center-cut chops are a lot thinner. In the old days when I had a gas grill, I'd just grill them.
I want someone to explain why I can buy Iowa chops on sale for $1.99 often but center cut chops are never less than $2.99. Center cut taste better and are less chewy and I can actually get through one. One pound of pork chop is a lot to eat.

Is that canned peaches or raw peaches?
