Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene from GA House District 14 voted today to extend FISA surveillance against the American people. She voted against 19 other MAGA Congressman who actually killed the renewal (for now) of the infamous Section 702 which has been so abused by the U.S. national security state.

The FBI recently reported there were over 200,000 illegal FISA surveillance 'mistakes' against the American people last year. In other words, they admit at least 200k illegal spying operations against U.S. citizens.

The vote to advance Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) failed today by a 193-228 vote in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Here is the official roll call.

Once again, MTG says one thing, votes another.

At the end of the day, there is no difference between any of the parasites in DC or the Statehouses! They all take turns playing good guy then bad guy, problem is, 99% of Americans have short memories and are filled with identity politics .... my team vs your team and the good Ole better of two Evils ideology and as such, the American people keep perpetuating this WWE garbage by voting!

FISA itself is unconstitutional. Whether the FISA extension is approved or not makes no difference. The power, bureaucracy and systems for spying on Americans are already in place and they will continue to wield it against US whether it's codified in law or not. There is no way that they will relinquish that power.

Does anyone else see the irony here? The FIBs admitting that they, themselves have made 200,000 FISA 'mistakes' just last year. Yet not one of them are held accountable for any of them. Even worse, they are getting away using that same pilfered, compromised 'intel' to punish American citizens- including a president. And much of their 'intel'- we'll never know just how much- is just pure fiction. It underscores my point.

Here's a related 11:53 minute Tucker vid on X that's well worth the time to watch:

When the current Speaker is thrown out, MTG and other hypocrites need to go, as well…

Thomas Massie: Many people have been misled today.

There was not a vote on the FISA bill.

There was a vote on a resolution that would have allowed FISA, as well as 6 amendments to it, including a warrant requirement amendment, and three other pieces of legislation to come to the floor.

On partisan procedural votes like this, Democrats reflexively vote no and Republicans typically vote yes.

19 Republicans voted with all the Democrats to stop everything from coming to the floor today, including the warrant amendment to FISA.

Many of us who are adamantly opposed to warrantless surveillance voted for the resolution, wanting to get a recorded vote on warrants, and recognizing the Speaker can otherwise suspend the rules and bring anything to the floor without a resolution, like he did with the omnibus.

Tactically, whether the 19 did the best thing or not is TBD.

They may have just stopped our only chance to have a vote on whether the government needs a warrant to spy on you.
That vote might not have passed, but everyone would have had to go on the record for the world to see.

So what we had was a difference of tactics, with members like Jim Jordan, MTG, Warren Davidson, myself, and other defenders of the Constitution parting ways with those who saw an opportunity to temporarily throw a wrench in things by voting with Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff.

Now that the rules resolution for the bill + amendments has failed, the swamp could:

1) suspend the rules to pass a worse FISA

2) make concessions and improve the rules for the bill

3) say they don’t need a new bill to keep FISA going, or

4) let the senate move first on FISA

100Benjistan: So if I understand correctly…

Tactic 1: Introduce rules, vote on amendments+warrant reqs, even if fails, we can see the traitors to constitution.

Tactic 2: Reject rules, temporary fail to reauth FISA. Can then hope that future FISA bill includes concessions+warrant reqs.
