Apparently certain school boards, via the Iowa department of Education are forcing teachers, etc., into diversity/equity meetings and are telling them to keep silent about said meetings. I don't know if there's an actual link to all of this or not, I got this information from a friend who lives in another state.

From what my friend is telling me is that teachers don't accept this will be booted from their jobs by the union. I have no idea what is happening in healthcare, I do have a couple of friends who are nurses at some pretty large hospitals here in Iowa, I'll ask them what they see going on.

I haven't seen it in our healthcare system yet, but we recently received an email explaining our new policy/procedure for identifying preferred pronouns.

Our system is run by two nun groups: Benedictine and Presentation sisters. They are quite conservative and its obvious from the email that we are only complying with CDC, Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies that have deemed this 'best practice'.

Next best practice: CRT...............then mandatory abortions on demand.

Until people wake up and take back their school boards this is never going to stop. If we have enough people that give a damn, that is. Take back the school boards and start cleaning house from the superintendent right down the line.

Oldest DS lives in Iowa and kids go to a medium sized school. They have been getting more than there share of gay and woke teachers the last few years. DIL also substitute teaches in the Sioux City school system and she hasn't mentioned anything yet. Will do some checking and get back to you.

The problem lies within the departments of education at the State level. These are the ones dictating and mandating to the local communities within the State. The teacher unions may be their lap-dog accomplices, but they have no authority to do much of anything.

Individual teachers have even less say than individual policemen when it comes to setting policies and procedures that they must follow.

Excellent thread, Iowans need to mobilize and shut this madness down any further as it creeps over from Illinois/Chicago Teachers mentality. It has no place in the heartland where folk of all kinds welcome as farm/ag labor and meat cutters.

No police union, no firefighter's union, no air traffic controller's union, no e.g unions.

As I’ve mentioned above, the communists are controlling the schools via the State Departments of Education.

How are we going to win the battle if we don’t correctly identify the enemy? Now, have the commies infiltrated unions? Of course, but that is NOT where the power lies in Education.

So, the fight must be political and at the State level for those inclined to fight. As for me, I’m too cynical to pursue political or judicial means (and too honest, but that’s another side trail).

But if we keep blaming “the unions,” we are missing the real enemy. The political elite would be happy to oblige and kill off their lap dog NEA teachers’ Union if that’s what you want. “Sure! Happy to oblige.”

Do we even realize how many people are employed (with six figure salaries, btw) in the State Departments of Education? Let me tell you, thousands. These are the ones with the power to oppress.

indoctrinate our children and for many by proxy, wee the parents.

Incrementally we have become corrupted, from our local hometowns to the cesspool
that is D.C. If there is a solution it must be applied first at the local level.

What is troubling is the lack of resistance to the not so subtle impositions.
In how many public meetings have the storm troopers advanced to subdue
outspoken citizens. In an act of appeasement peepses were tolerated, as they
become intolerable peepses were suppressed by the guardians of our law of
the land.

I don't disagree with anything you've said and I too share in your frustration.
I've played substitute teacher and I've known folk who are card carrying
minions of the "education" industry. I can't think of a more effective manner
with which to inflict harm on our children.

In many cases most people are totally unaware of what's happening in their schools and even the local gov't for the most part. Most are too busy trying to keep a roof over their head, food on their plates, and the keeping their kids alive. The people who do have time are the karens and kens of this world.
