A looting spree in the San Francisco Bay Area continued for a second straight night on Saturday — this time, reaching the suburbs.
A “mass looting” took place at about 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the Nordstrom store in Walnut Creek, California, an affluent suburb east of Oakland.

The looters’ method is apparently to travel in large convoys of vehicles, block roads, and then seize whatever they can before leaving.
CBS San Francisco reported:
Dozens of looters swarmed into the Nordstrom store in downtown Walnut Creek Saturday night, terrorizing shoppers, ripping off bag loads of merchandise and ransacking shelves before fleeing in a several vehicles waiting for them on the street.
Walnut Creek Lt. Ryan Hibbs told KPIX 5 that police began receiving calls about the looting at around 9 p.m. He said there were approximately 80 individuals who ran into the store and began looting and smashing shelves.

Hibbs said officers stopped one vehicle and arrested both suspects — a male and a female — inside. The male was charged with robbery, possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit burglary and possession of burglary tools. The female was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.

A manger at a local P.F. Chang’s nearby told CBS Los Angeles that the looters rushed into Nordstrom in ski masks. “It was insane.”
Police told NBC News that “one employee was pepper sprayed, and two others were punched and kicked. All three sustained minor injuries, and were treated and released at the scene.”

Looters ransacked several stores, including Louis Vuitton, in Union Square in downtown San Francisco the night before, prompting police to restrict vehicle traffic to the area.

Approximately 80 masked looters hit a San Francisco-area Nordstrom around 9 p.m. Saturday armed with crowbars and other “weapons.”

ABC 7 spoke with the nearby PF Chang’s manager, who said, “We probably saw 50 to 80 people in ski masks crowbars a bunch of weapons. They were looting the Nordstrom’s right here. And I thought they were going to start beating cars. I had to start locking doors lock the front door lock the back door.”

“There was a mob of people. The police were flying in. It was like a scene out of a movie. It was insane.” the PF Chang manager added, according to CBS SF.

At least one of the looters had a firearm.

The masked suspects grabbed armfuls of merchandise and ran outside to waiting cars, then sped off.

I remember that before its final collapse, there were no grocery stores in Detroit and the remaining "citizens" were complaining about it. They just couldn't understand that they, the "citizens," were the reason the grocery store managements pulled out. Nobody likes being robbed.

Cases like Kyle Rittenhouse make it clear that you can't just shoot them. Clear self defense led to over 3 days of jury cogitation. Protect property? Obviously not permitted!

Maybe if there's one or two you can try making a citizen's arrest. We'll learn from the Arbery verdicts whether that's permitted, under the prior Georgia law which has been changed now, probably to make it clearly forbidden.

But without deadly force there's no way to defend against mob tactics like this, and they can do these things without fear.

San Jose Lululemon Ransacked as Bay-Area Looting Continues for 3rd Straight Night

Looters struck California’s Bay Area again and hit a Lululemon store in San Jose, marking the third consecutive night a store in the region was ransacked.

The suspects arrived at the store around 6:30 p.m., pilfered merchandise, and fled the area, KPIX reports. The suspects were no longer at the scene when authorities arrived. Law enforcement could not provide further details on the matter.




Just a day earlier, on Saturday, a large group of suspects looted a San Francisco-area Nordstrom in the city of Walnut Creek, as reported by Breitbart News. The incident happened around 9:00 p.m.

“We probably saw 50 to 80 people in ski masks, crowbars, a bunch of weapons,” a nearby PF Chang’s manager told ABC 7 of the incident. “They were looting the Nordstrom’s right here. And I thought they were going to start beating cars. I had to start locking doors. Locked the front door, locked the back door.”

“There was a mob of people. The police were flying in. It was like a scene out of a movie. It was insane.” the restaurant manager added, per CBS SF.

Drivers reportedly shut down nearby streets before the looters wreaked havoc in the department store. NBC Bay Area reporter Jodi Hernandez tweeted that roughly 25 cars blocked the road.




Three of the suspects were arrested, according to KTVU.




The suspects then brought merchandise to the vehicles before speeding off.

A police spokesperson informed NBC that some 80 suspects ransacked the Broadway Plaza Nordstrom store and one employee was pepper-sprayed, while two more were punched or kicked.

Breitbart News reported on Friday’s looting spree of high-end Union Square stores in San Francisco. Union Square is a major tourist destination in the city’s downtown area.




The San Francisco Chronicle reported looters hit upscale retailers, including Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent.

One video of the incident tweeted by @StanleyRoberts shows a looter running with a pile of clothes, wearing masks on both the upper and lower portions of their face. The video also shows another suspect who attempted to get into their car, presumably to flee the area, before officers crowded the vehicle.




On Saturday, San Francisco Mayor London Breed addressed Friday night’s mayhem, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

“What you saw last night was horrible,” Breed stated. “We can’t allow that to happen. If you come to our city to commit these types of crimes, you will be held accountable.

John Chachas’s family owns Gump’s in Union Square and said Breed should resign.

“The mayor and her entire team should resign,” Chachas said, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “You can’t really run a retail enterprise if you have to board up the windows five weeks before the critical Christmas selling season.”

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) – A reward has been increased to help catch the criminal who shot a KRON4 security guard during an attempted robbery of a KRON4 news crew.


After contributions by KRON4 and parent company Nexstar Media Inc., the security company associated with the guard, Star Protection Agency, and Oakland police the total reward is now $25,000.


The money will be given to the person who provides information that leads to the arrest of the individual, or individuals involved in the shooting.


Police say the incident was an attempt to steal camera equipment on November 24.


The KRON4 crew was covering a story on a recent smash-and-grab robbery where 12 thieves wearing masks and hoods raided the Prime 356 clothing store on the 300 block of 14th Street.

The shots were fired around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.


Oakland police investigating clothing store burglary involving over 12 suspects

The KRON4 security guard was shot in the lower abdomen and taken to Highland Hospital for surgery, according to police.


As of 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, the guard is out of surgery and in stable condition. The guard is a former police officer.


Officers later found an additional victim involved in the incident; a Berkeley man who was also transported to Highland Hospital for treatment and as of Wednesday was listed in stable condition. The man was hit by bullet shrapnel according to police.


In a statement released to KRON4 on Wednesday police had listed two additional victims, but later clarified there was only one additional victim.


The additional victim was released from the hospital on November 25.


Three charged for looting Walnut Creek Nordstrom

The KRON4 reporter was not physically injured but is understandably shaken.


“As you know it’s been an extremely violent week. We are asking if you were in the area, have a business or live nearby to please check your surveillance footage as you may have captured the crime before, during, or after it occurred,” Oakland police said in a press conference.

Local television stations, including KRON4, regularly use security guards when covering news stories.


In the past, a number of Bay Area news stations have been targeted for their camera equipment by thieves.


“At KRON 4, the safety of our personnel is our top priority which is why we assign security to reporters when working in the field. Most importantly, our thoughts and prayers are with the security guard and his family and we wish him a complete recovery,” KRON4’s Vice President and General Manager Jim Rose said in a statement.
