POL Marjorie Taylor Greene Launches America First Movement Against Trump on Foreign Wars

Because it’s a fallacious argument that flat out ignores many decades of history. It’s all documented….

A CIA-backed 1953 coup in Iran haunts the country with people still trying to make sense of it

Seventy years after a CIA-orchestrated coup toppled Iran’s prime minister, its legacy remains both contentious and complicated for the Islamic Republic as tensions stay high with the United States.

While highlighted as a symbol of Western imperialism by Iran’s theocracy, the coup unseating Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh — over America’s fears about a possible tilt toward the Soviet Union and the loss of Iranian crude oil — appeared backed at the time by the country’s leading Shiite clergy.

But nowadays, hard-line Iranian state television airs repeated segments describing the coup as showing how America can’t be trusted, while authorities bar the public from visiting Mossadegh’s grave in a village outside of Tehran.

Such conflicts are common in Iran, where “Death to America” can still be heard at Friday prayers in Tehran while many on its streets say they’d welcome a better relationship with the U.S. But as memories of the coup further fade away along with those alive during it, controlling which allegory Iranians see in it has grown more important for both the country’s government and its people.

“Maybe the U.S. did this out of fear of the emerging power of the Soviet Union, but it was like wishing for an earthquake to get rid of a bad neighbor,” said Rana, a 24-year-old painter who like some others who spoke to The Associated Press gave only her first name for fear of reprisals. For Iranians, “the rancor has never melted.”

The August 1953 coup stemmed from U.S. fears over the Soviet Union increasingly wanting a piece of Iran as Communists agitated within the country. The ground had been laid partially by the British, who wanted to wrest back access to the Iranian oil industry, which had been nationalized earlier by Mossadegh.

Even Jack is wondering wtf..

These scare tactics warning that if Tucker runs 3rd party it will guarantee a win to Democrats is just that. A scare tactic.

Americans are so fed up and betrayed by BOTH parties that half of us neve want to vote again at ALL.

The ONLY way many of us would even CONSIDER voting again is if we had a viable 3rd party alternative.

Republicans and Democrats alike are SCARED AS HELL, and rightfully so.

Tucker, you absolute f****** piece of sh*t ... You're either a strung-out junkie, falling-down drunk, or full-blown raving lunatic. It doesn’t matter which, because you’re a g****** traitor either way.

MAGA wasn’t betrayed, you lying c***. You and that entire table of backstabbing parasites were never MAGA. You latched onto Trump’s coattails like the opportunistic leeches you are, milked the movement for money and relevance, and turned on it the moment your grift dried up. Now go run back to your Islamist buddies and spare us the self-righteous bullshit.

This entire spectacle is beyond parody. You got your ass fired. Marge quit before they could throw her worthless ass out the door. Massie got the f****** axe. Kent walked before they could can him. It’s a collection of fired, defeated, unelected and quitting Russia-loyalist grifters pretending they represent a movement they never built.

The only betrayal came from you clowns.

You never belonged to MAGA. You merely rode Trump’s success and convinced yourselves that you were somehow responsible for it. Trump saw straight through your slimy asses, and now you’re furious because you’ll never be half as smart, influential or important as he is. The pathetic company you keep proves that every single day.

So keep crying, you bitter little loser. Without Trump, this country would have been completely destroyed after eight years of Hillary’s poisonous bullshit. Meanwhile, you and that quitter MTG are just two seething, miserable c**** who can’t handle no longer being the center of attention.

We were betrayed, all right ... by you, Marjorie, and every other worthless traitor in that pathetic picture. I can’t wait to watch you and Massie scrape together 0.1% of the vote, then blame AIPAC and Israel like the predictable little bitches you are.

Absolute f****** joke.

My personal opinion is that the only way that crew in the OP would win any election if the only two options were them and the DSA. And even then it will be a close call.

Most people take pride in who they vote for. Can you really see a majority going rah-rah-rah for any of those above?

Now if the question is can they have an impact? That's more up in the air. Bigger question is if any of them can have a positive impact or if they will simply cause more people to stay home with a severe case of the mullygrubs.

Yeah, I have a feeling that when the OP Crew tries to get going they are going to hit this wall. The questions will start about being double agents, traitors, etc and whether any of them can then be trusted.

Agree with everything you said except this.

If people were proud of who they voted for (in every election except when Trump is on the ballot), why do I always hear, "I voted for (insert candidate) because he'she is the lessor of two evils"?

Maybe "pride" was the wrong descriptive. More like they are willing to say or wear a sticker for them.

It sucks... but... politics
On that note though, we will never get a candidate we are all happy with, as no human is perfect..
Yet he is still a better choice than any democrat.
Not trying to start anything but I think you and others miss my point as well as MAGA's point.
There is little focus on the same issues from a year ago.

I will grant that the border seems secure.
Don't hear about downsizing much.
Where are the perp walks or grand juries?
This is just a few.

Perp walks are being hindered by in-place judicial people ... judges primarily but there are the slow-walkers getting in the way.

The downsizing comes from the fraud that is being caught and the freebie entitlements being cut off ... when some freakin' Biden and Obama appointed judge doesn't force lawfare.

There are more balls in the air with this administration than any I can remember in history. There are pros and cons to that however.

To bring this around to the OP, I think this is going to be the problem that crew faces. They have a limited focus. But if they're personal ball isn't the one being played with they tend to get pent out of shape and not play well with others that have a different idea of what a timeline should look like or how to measure success. If there is concern that Trump can't get things done, the crew in the OP is not known for getting much if anything of any size done.

I'm not saying they are do-nothings. But I don't see them accomplishing much if anything simply because they don't have the track record.

There is no such thing as the 'Woke Right' as it is a made-up term by gatekeepers acting woke to shut down conversations they don't like

I call these types the Woke Lite...aka Diet Woke
rt 1:34
The phrase began as a way to accuse figures on "the right" of fighting progressive identity politics with their own identity politics. According to Vox, being Woke Right means invoking identity-based grievance, collective victimhood, conspiracy-focused politics, ideological policing, and punitive or exclusionary tactics.

Right now it's thrown around a lot in internal right-wing disputes. Activists who've accused others of being Woke Right include James Lindsay, Konstantin Kisin, Dan Crenshaw, and Dave Smith. Among those most-labeled "Woke Right" are Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Steve Bannon, even Laura Loomer and Ben Shapiro.

Pejorative terms are nothing new in politics. Nor are gatekeepers acting to shut down conversations they don't like new. Anyone can fall into black-white thinking. There are plenty of examples, even on the forum.

I’m at work and only have a brief moment, I’m sure I’ll expound on what I’m about say later on in the evening.

Some of you seem to be missing the forest because there’s a couple trees in the way you would rather cut down.

This whole movement is in its infancy. Most of you didn’t know about it until I chimed up. The faces you see now won’t be the only faces you recognize once America First becomes cohesive and more known.

This is really in Trumps hands. The longer he keeps handling Iran the way he has these past few months the more he is going to draw criticism and disenfranchisement, people are already looking for alternative solutions.

Maybe doing away with Truth API would help too.

The dude really sucks at optics

And if you can’t tell, the party loyalists has no desire to have an honest dialogue that could bring unity. They keep pushing people out with bad arguments, ad hominem attacks and sheer ridicule. You are in away creating your own problem in 2028. Again, we are fortunate that the DNC is going through its own power struggle and aren’t being unified.

I suppose it’s a race to whomever unifies first.

It isn't a single issue problem. There are those that want to make everything about a war but it isn't. The crew in the OP really like single issue fights. Unfortunately they need to widen their game and prove their ability to succeed where their opponents fail. They won't be fighting a Trump personality problem in the coming election cycle. They'll be fighting people with a completely different array of successes and failures and who may very well know much more about them than they are comfortable with an opponent knowing.

I'm trying to imagine Marjorie Taylor Greene debating Marco Rubio on a live stage. Wonder how that would go...

You're making the argument against your 'unity' position by consistently labeling those who oppose your positions into dishonest people who launch ad hominem attacks and use ridicule. Here and in other posts.

It's not a winning proposition.

While the party platform points are still being worked, there are two primary issues (so far) discussed in interviews that caused the split (described in the article below). I look forward to see this party come about and evolve.

My position: full support (for now, still need to see platform points), and it’s about time.

MTG Teams Up With Tucker Carlson and Thomas Massie to Plot New Political Party: ‘The Movement Has Begun’

Sean JamesAug 1st, 2026, 2:43 pm

Former Republicans Majorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson are apparently serious about their plans to launch a new political party — and they’ve got some help too.

Greene posted a picture on Saturday of her and her new husband Brian Glenn sitting at a wooden table headed by Carlson, who was flanked by lame duck Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and another ex-fan of President Donald Trump: Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who quit earlier this year in protest of the Iran war. Massie and Kent’s wife are also seated at the table.

Everyone appears to be pretty jolly in the picture — and focused on their mission to upend American politics.

“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all,” Greene wrote. “Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.”

“The movement has begun,” Greene capped off her post.

And the gang’s fuel-of-choice for the plotting session? A batch of chocolate chip cookies and milk, based on the spread on the table.

MTG’s pic comes a month after Carlson said he was working to “help build” a new third party. Carlson said it was imperative because the Republicans and Democrats are too busy worrying about foreign affairs while the lives of average Americans crumble.

His announcement followed Carlson saying in June he was done voting for Republicans. MTG made the same announcement soon after.

How could I or any American voter support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States. That puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens,” Carlson said. “It’s not possible to vote for people like that, and I’m not going to.”

Carlson was referring to Israel, a country he has been fixated on. He said Trump’s 2024 campaign was funded largely by people with “loyalty to Israel,” which is now forcing the president to make decisions not in the best interest of the USA.

Trump has scoffed at those kinds of claims, saying in March about the Iran war,“If anything, I might’ve forced Israel’s hand.”

Not trying to start anything but I think you and others miss my point as well as MAGA's point.

But my point stands
He is still a better choice than any democrat and we wont get exactly what we want.

I see it the other way around as attacks are from the minority CW/TC crowd ..
I watch vid after vid of those that side with them and read the comments...its not MAGA, its the loud minority attacking MAGA because they arent getting what they want, when they want it and literally refuse to wait or let it go for now.
And as Ive stated, there are many that have said they would rather a dem won over items like Iran or the Efiles ( you will never know the truth and thats a fact) ect..while totally glossing over the fact that the muzzies and commies are taking over the dem party and making headway.

I see your script flip for what it is...
Forest through the trees indeed

You want unity, get onboard and wait your turn, quit trying to flatten the tires.

If anyone wants to know why America will likely be a failed state relatively soon, just read this thread from the beginning.

They've been saying that since George III was king. I'm actually much more concerned about the DSA and its spreading influence. Their rhetoric is dangerous to insane and yet similar movements have destroyed countries and cultures for over a century. Look at communist Russia's beginnings. Look at Mao and China.

Some of you seem to be missing the forest because there’s a couple trees in the way you would rather cut down.
So, who's going to be the Front Man (or Woman) for your party in that picture? Who will they promote?

The ones in the picture have too much baggage to gain any traction, and their egos are SO big, are they willing to share the spotlight?

So, who will it be?

He is still a better choice than any democrat and we wont get exactly what we want.
That argument is a red herring.
None of us are arguing for him over a democrat!

We are arguing for the Trump we voted for not this guy.
He promised no foreign wars and to Make AMERICA great again.
It's like he got so pissed off that he didn't win the Peace Prize that he may have deserved that he was going to show them up by increasing American foreign involvement.

His idea of making America great has turned into militarily.
Instead he has weakened us.
Used up our munitions storehouse. We are less able to defend ourselves than before.
If Iran was able to do this without our defeating them, we are a paper tiger.
We were not prepared for this escapade.

He claimed we set back Iran's nuclear ambitions 20 years IIRC but we had to do it again so soon?
For 30 years Iran has been 2 months from the bomb.
Show us the proof they were there now.
Not the same fake proof that Powell used to get us into Iraq.
WE have had to draw down to dangerously low levels our STRATEGIC Petroleum Reserves.

I think Trum,p has received bad advice AND let his gigantic ego cloud his judgement.

Quit using the argument about him or a democrat.
America voted for a different Trump.

Agreed. We voted for a different Trump. I'm hoping we have a viable third-party candidate and I'm in favor of this group's efforts to bring the leadership back into the MAGA fold. The fact is that the Republican and Democrat parties are hopelessly fallen into a morass of pro-war one-worldism, America-last-ism, and Support-Israel-No-Matter-What-ism. WE NEED SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

This tells you all you need to know, lol.

This isn't a popularity contest for Homecoming King and Queen.
It's about the major issues that Trump promised to address and deviated from.

So far, the discussion hasn't acknowledged the reality that whomever is running for Prez in '28, will not just run on Trump's coat tails. They need to differentiate themselves, have their own ideas and agenda, sell them to people - with or without Trump's support. And possibly party support, as well.

I'm sure we'll continue to hear some of the campaign themes that MAGA was built of. Goals like that do take decades. But they'll be manifested by LOTS of different personalities, with different twists. Will they be able to build a team in Congress - of agenda supporters that can rally the votes? a team of competent cabinet nominees?

I think "MAGA" will fade from existence as Trump leaves office. But the elements that make up MAGA, borders, the economy/rebuilding manufacturing, etc are still going to be contentious issues with many different ideas of what is needed. The run up to '28 is going to be a free-for-all and we're all going to have draw our own red lines and make compromises and even choose for ourselves if voting in hopes that X, Y or Z will make a good president and further advance the MAGA issues, is worth it. It will still be rolling the dice.

Might be wiser to build the pantry, take some profits from the investments to stack more PMs and buy more ammo, ya know?

I'm sure a CCP and CIA representative will have seats at that table, too. Who else would have the money needed to bankroll such an endeaver?

You Vote: With talk of a new political party or movement led by Carlson and Greene, what say you?

Greene's photo, posted on X on Saturday, featured the three, who have been sidelined over their opposition to President Trump's agenda and suggests discussions on a third party are continuing. Last month, Carlson said he was planning to create a new political party.

Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a photo this past weekend of herself, Tucker Carlson and Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., along with the statement that "the movement has come."

Last month, Carlson said he was planning to create a new political party, the Columbia Journalism Review reported.

Greene's photo, posted on X on Saturday, featured the three, who have been sidelined over their opposition to President Trump's agenda and suggests discussions on a third party are continuing.

"We said no more foreign wars, and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center," Greene stated in the post.

Taylor did not seek reelection this year after Trump pulled his endorsement, and Massie lost his primary reelection bid to a Trump-backed candidate. Carlson, a conservative pundit and former Fox News Channel opinion-show host, fell out of favor with Trump in large part over his opposition to the Iran war.

You Vote: With talk of a new political party or movement led by Carlson and Greene, what say you?

Choices
  • It will be a big success, and hurt the GOP as it will win over many of its voters
  • It will never get off the ground, at all, showing how little clout and following they have
  • They will actively try to establish a new political party or movement, but it will attract few followers and they'll end up stopping, as they gain little traction.

And the Winner is:

Besides, I don't know how 'engaged' MTG can be in a new party as she's busy singing happy birthday to folks. :shr:

Before I start responding, I want to take a moment and thank the mods. I thought twice before I started this thread. I knew the response that was going to be generated by some, was prepared for the thread to have a short fate because of the inability to be adults. You guys had a couple opportunities to shut it down and you didn't. So thank you for that, this discussion is important and you guys not only allowing it, but actively ensuring it doesn't fall to pieces is much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm gonna eat something then i'll respond to the rest of you.

I get it but again, there is no perfect candidate and politics both national and global happen..things change.
You are not going to get exactly what you wanted and thats normal but from my vantage point... all im seeing is a bunch of people throwing a fit about politics as usual and everyone of them should have known better.
Should it be better... yes, will it..prob not.
Its like there is a certain group that will never accept anything other than what they demand and even if they were given it all, they would find something else to cry about.

The dems are not in charge atm, roll with it and see what happens.

I agree! I will vote for whomever is likely to bring about mass deportations, end H1B and all the Foreigners coming here to pop out birthright turds. Focus on the suffering of Americans, not Foreign nations. Etc.
