Your faith in vote-counting is so precious....
Have to go through the charade to get to the last valid nonlethal option left to the people ...

"A man’s rights rest in three boxes. The ballot box, jury box and the cartridge box." - Frederick Douglas speech, 15 November 1867

IF we survive the coming persecutions of the demon-crats and their associations with the CCP and the ME Terrorists, 2022 is the last valid point of any hope for a change to the trajectory.

Bidden has already snubbed Israel while calling 10-20 other countries leaders and his press secretary dodged the question on if the Biden administration considers them a strong ally of the USA....

... that's an important sign that he, like the rest of the demon-crats will turn against them and we will see war in the Middle East within 12-18 months at the latest

Trump’s defense team has 301 witnesses so far that they want to call.
This comes after the Democrats succeeded in changing the rules and likely extending this impeachment sham.

“Presiding” Democrat Caught On Hot Mic: “This Is All F*#’D Up”

February 13, 2021 2:47 pm

The “impeachment” of Donald Trump isn’t going the way Democrats wanted.

Chief Justice Roberts wouldn’t preside because Trump was no longer a sitting president.

So Democrats chose Patrick Leahy to “preside” over the sham impeachment.

And that’s not going well, either.

Here’s what Leahy said on a hot mic today:

Dr. Peter Navarro said Mike Pence’s betrayal of President Trump will go down in history as one of the greatest imaginable.

“What Mike Pence did to Donald J. Trump I think will go down in history as one of the greatest betrayals imaginable,” Navarro said.

“Clearly the Vice President Pence had a mission,” he said, and it was to block getting to the “bottom of all the election fraud and irregularities.”

“He refused to do that,” Navarro said.

“The last person on earth that wanted [the riot] to happen was Donald J. Trump because it allowed the vice president, it allowed the RINO Republicans, and it certainly allowed the Democrats to cancel what was going to be an investigation on Jan. 6 which was going to be one of the greatest days in the history of this republic because it would have allowed for an investigation into this fraud,” Navarro said.

Sen. Richard Burr Openly Admitted That He Violated the Constitution By Voting to Impeach Trump

By Cassandra Fairbanks
Published February 13, 2021 at 4:33pm
IMG_2888-600x276.jpg

North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr is one of seven Republicans who voted “guilty” to convict President Donald Trump on Saturday — and by his own admission, he violated the Constitution in doing so.

President Trump was acquitted on a single impeachment article of incitement of insurrection over the protest at the Capitol on January 6.

Burr, who split from Republican voters and sided with the Democrats, released a statement following his vote that contained an admission that he believes he violated the Constitution.

The retiring Republican added that “as an impartial juror, my role is now to determine whether House managers have sufficiently made the case for the article of impeachment against President Trump. I have listened to the arguments presented by both sides and considered the facts. The facts are clear.”

“As I said on January 6th, the President bears responsibility for these tragic events. The evidence is compelling that President Trump is guilty of inciting an insurrection against a coequal branch of government and that the charge rises to the level of high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Therefore, I have voted to convict,” Burr’s statement continued. “I do not make this decision lightly, but I believe it is necessary.

“By what he did and by what he did not do, President Trump violated his oath of office to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Burr also voted not to allow witnesses to provide testimony on Saturday.

Former President Trump’s lawyers were allotted 16 hours to make their case and only used about three.

he is so full of crap. it isn't an institution based on precedent.

it is an institution based on the constitution.

If they can vote on impeaching a non-sitting, ex-president, does this open a can of worms with the Hillary email server and Obama?
Yes it does. However, conservatives would have to be in power in both the House and Senate for that to happen.

Hey, Nancy we all know the reason the Democrats caved in was they were TERRIFIED of that Trump lawyer taking your statement. You remember that one? The one where you set up the riots to blame Trump and his supporters, bitch.

Anyway, "they" are lining up the attacks on Trump. Here is a short list so far.

One: Amendment 14, which was designed for the American Civil War.

Two: Mitch the Bitch wants to go for criminal charges.

Three: They want to censure Trump so they can ban him for life.

Four: They want a super, duper censure, as shown above, since the original censure isn't mean enough.

Five: They want to kick him out of the USA, exile if they can swing it.

Six: They want to just shoot him and get it over with.

Hmm, leave any out? The hate from these cowards, and traitors is going to burn them up.

That's a reasonable question, Blonde, and you've already seen several good answers, all of which are generally true, even though there might be some angst involved in the answering.

But yes, it does, and no, it doesn't. If the Constitution is thrown out the door, yes it does, and if the Constitution holds and survives the next decade (or whatever) to retain its original meaning as written, then no, it doesn't.

This was clearly extra-constitutional (as if that apparently matters anymore) as the Constitution clearly states (Article 1, Section 2 if you're reading along) that the purpose of an impeachment is to remove a sitting President from office for what was finally written down as "high crimes and misdemeanors" - whatever that means. (I think after a large amount of debate it was purposely written to be vague, which would require a large consensus to remove a duly-elected President, instead of making a long list of crimes which would have been considered bad enough, etc. etc)

In addition, the Constitution specifically names the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to be the presiding officer, and the present spineless - or compromised, take your pick - Chief Justice Roberts declined to preside. There's probably a reasonable question about him actually being able to demur, but being as the constitutional matter would have to be adjudicated in the Supreme Court itself, most likely, it's largely a moot point.

President Trump was impeached in a big rush so that it could be said that he was actually in office, but that was clearly for show as there ae still open questions from the events of Jan 6th which triggered the impeachment. Again, as he was out of office when the trial was conducted in the Senate, Senator Rand Paul's motion to do away with the trial completely as the constitutional reason for conducting it was baseless, being as the succeeding president had already taken the oath and President Trump had left DC to his beachfront golf course in Florida.

They were basically trying to make the case that he shouldn't hold office again were he to be convicted, but again that was silly because - for one reason - why would he want to subject himself and his family to the venomous hatred and derision which has been his lot for the past 4 years? But their TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome - which I've become convinced is an actual mental illness) is so compelling inside them that they can only react to it with their actions.

But the legislature is composed of two houses. One, the House of Representatives (akin to the House of Commons, more or less) is the body which is empowered to bring charges of impeachment forward. The Senate (not quite the House of Lords but anyways) is the body which is then given the responsibility to conduct a trial to consider the charges, and then act as the jury to determine whether the accused is to be innocent or guilty. ETA: I forgot to include this part. The Speaker of the House nominates some of its members to act as the prosecutors for the House in the Senate trial - you may have seen the term "impeachment managers" floating around - that's them. Congress is full of lawyers (sadly) so there's plenty of former prosecutors to pick from. The accused is allowed to present its own defense.

So the leader of the House of Reps (Nancy Pelosi (D), San Francisco, hereinafter referred to as the MaligNancy) became the first House Speaker in history to twice impeach a sitting President. What she will be known for in this case, however, is that she is the only Speaker in history to fail at securing a conviction on clearly Trumped-up charges (pardon the pun). As a matter of reference, bringing forth impeachment charges successfully requires a majority vote in the House, but a conviction of said charges requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate.

So that's that. My fingers are tired. Again, good question.

North Carolina GOP Condemns Richard Burr After He Openly Admits to Violating the US Constitution by Voting to Convict Trump

“When this process started, I believed that it was unconstitutional to impeach a president who was no longer in office. I still believe that to be the case. However, the Senate is an institution based on precedent, and given that the majority in the Senate voted to proceed with this trial, the question of constitutionality is now established precedent,” Burr’s statement said.
The North Carolina Republican Party released a weak statement condemning Richard Burr:
Raleigh, NC – The Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party Michael Whatley released the following statement following Senator Burr’s contradictory impeachment vote.
“North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing.”
Richard Burr doesn’t care about the US Constitution and he isn’t worried about upsetting North Carolina voters because he is retiring and will not seek reelection when his term expires next year.

Dr. Peter Navarro joined Steve Bannon and The War Room on Saturday morning.

During their discussion on voter fraud, Navarro brought up the actions of Mike Pence. Navarro, along with millions of Trump voters, believe what Mike Pence did will go down in history as one of the greatest betrayals of a president and the country.

Mike Pence did not have the courage to confront the obvious election fraud.

He sided with the enemies of America.

Dr. Peter Navarro: Look, what Mike Pence did to Donald J. Trump I think will go down in history as one of the biggest betrayals imaginable. Because clearly, the Vice President had a mission up on Capitol Hill to get to the bottom of all the election fraud and irregularities that I document in the three volumes of the Navarro Report. No doubt, Democrats will not like Mr. Van der Veen’s comparison so much.

I laughed so hard at the end of this video. It should be required viewing for the entire country. Because the reporter’s actions provide such a clear demonstration of what the attorney is saying there’s great synergy in the video. I think it’s one of the most powerful encapsulations of what’s wrong with the media/country today.

Have a great weekend… (I am after watching this video.) :lkick:

Yes.

They could go back and impeach George Washington if they wanted to.

It's unConstitutional----but who pays attention to our LAW now? "It's just a GD piece of paper," one famous Democrat said some years ago.

This is just as ridiculous as what Oliver Cromwell did---digging up Charles I, posthumously finding him guilty, and "punishing" his corpse by beheading it and hanging the head on a pole

Nearly two years after his death, on January 30, 1661 — the 12th anniversary of the execution of Charles I — Cromwell's body was exhumed by supporters of the monarchy from its resting place at Westminster Abbey and beheaded. Report: Kevin McCarthy, Donald Trump Call Erupted into Expletive-Filled Shouting Match over January 6 Riots

A phone call between then-President Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) during the January 6 riots erupted into an expletive-filled shouting match, according to a CNN report released Friday.

While rioters entered the Capitol building, Trump told McCarthy during a call that the rioters cared more about election integrity more than the House GOP leader.

“Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are,” Trump said, according to lawmakers familiar with the call.

McCarthy then said that rioters were Trump supporters and urged him to implore them to leave.

Republican lawmakers familiar with the call described the conversation between Trump and McCarthy as a shouting match.

According to GOP lawmakers familiar with the call, as rioters were reportedly breaking into his office through the windows, McCarthy told Trump, “Who the f**k do you think you’re talking to?”

Republican lawmakers said the phone call reveals that Trump did not want to call off the rioters.

“He is not a blameless observer. He was rooting for them,” a GOP lawmaker said. “On January 13, Kevin McCarthy said on the floor of the House that the President bears responsibility and he does.”

This conversation between McCarthy and Trump was first mentioned by Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler during a town hall last week. Herrera Beutler and nine House Republicans voted to impeach Trump in January.

“That line right there demonstrates to me that either he didn’t care, which is impeachable, because you cannot allow an attack on your soil, or he wanted it to happen and was OK with it, which makes me so angry,” Herrera Beutler told CNN.

“We should never stand for that, for any reason, under any party flag,” she said.

“To the patriots who were standing next to the former president as these conversations were happening, or even to the former vice president: if you have something to add here, now would be the time,” Herrera Beutler said in a statement on Friday, urging others to divulge more information they might know about the conversations between then-Vice President Mike Pence and Trump on January 6.

The Senate voted Saturday to call for additional witnesses during the impeachment trial. It remains likely the Senate will subpoena Beutler and have her testify for the trial.

Unless I heard it first-hand, (b/c even recordings can be edited) I wouldn't believe ONE WORD a lying RINO would say that "Trump said to me"
