Hope in chains...
Shithead Schumer just incited that the court public opinion will help to take Trump down and stop him from ever taking public office again. That justice will be carried forward by the American people against Trump.

Why isn’t he being impeached for inciting violence against a former president? This is so lopsided it’s not funny. It’s ok for them to call for violence ... what gives.

Trump should sue the left for slander
I think they may all be in for a big surprise.

McConnell completely understands that he is finished. This is a bitter loser who completely understands at a minimum he is finished....which may be the best case scenario for him

Judging by his reaction he tried like hell to get 17 go along and failed miserably.

He knows at best he has two years left as leader and will do everything possible to prevent or minimize the damage to the swamp and most importantly himself that is coming

He will be in self preservation mode from this point forward

I have watched some of the circle-jerk. Only as I was doing something else, to justify my time.

Watching a re-run of The Beverly Hillbillies or Gilligan's Island for the fourth time would have been as productive.

SNAKE: McConnell Uses Floor to Brutally Trash Trump Following Failed Impeachment Effort

Senator Mitch McConnell used the Senate floor to brutally trash Donald Trump after the former president was found not guilty at the impeachment trial.

The speech was so unhinged that it could have just as easily came from Nancy Pelosi.
McConnell did not hold back as he ripped Trump apart for a “disgraceful dereliction of duty” and attempting to “overturn the election.”

He claimed that the protesters stormed the Capitol because they had been “fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth,” and that Trump was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day.”

“There’s no question – none – that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day,” McConnell said.

McConnell went on to say that “this was an intensifying crescendo of conspiracy theories” by a president who seemed determined to overturn the will of the voters or “torch” institutions on the way out.

The anti-Trump Republican did vote “not guilty” before giving the ridiculous speech.

Sen. Richard Burr Openly Admitted That He Violated the Constitution By Voting to Impeach Trump

By Cassandra Fairbanks
Published February 13, 2021 at 4:33pm
IMG_2888-600x276.jpg

North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr is one of seven Republicans who voted “guilty” to convict President Donald Trump on Saturday — and by his own admission, he violated the Constitution in doing so.

President Trump was acquitted on a single impeachment article of incitement of insurrection over the protest at the Capitol on January 6.

Burr, who split from Republican voters and sided with the Democrats, released a statement following his vote that contained an admission that he believes he violated the Constitution.
“When this process started, I believed that it was unconstitutional to impeach a president who was no longer in office. I still believe that to be the case.
However, the Senate is an institution based on precedent, and given that the majority in the Senate voted to proceed with this trial, the question of constitutionality is now established precedent,” Burr’s statement said.
The retiring Republican added that “as an impartial juror, my role is now to determine whether House managers have sufficiently made the case for the article of impeachment against President Trump. I have listened to the arguments presented by both sides and considered the facts. The facts are clear.”

“As I said on January 6th, the President bears responsibility for these tragic events. The evidence is compelling that President Trump is guilty of inciting an insurrection against a coequal branch of government and that the charge rises to the level of high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Therefore, I have voted to convict,” Burr’s statement continued. “I do not make this decision lightly, but I believe it is necessary.

“By what he did and by what he did not do, President Trump violated his oath of office to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Burr also voted not to allow witnesses to provide testimony on Saturday.

Former President Trump’s lawyers were allotted 16 hours to make their case and only used about three.

LIBERAL TEARS: Leftists Rage Online Over Failed Impeachment Of President Donald Trump

Liberals all across the internet are expressing their grievances after the Senate voted 57-43 to acquit President Donald Trump from his second impeachment trial.

President Trump was the first President in the history of the United States to be impeached and acquitted twice. He is also the first President in history to be tried by the Senate after already leaving office, a maneuver that many argued was unconstitutional.

Following the final Senate vote, liberals were quick to take to the internet to rage over the latest Trump victory.

Ironically, liberals were counting on Senator Mitch McConnell to vote to convict President Trump, given that the Republican senator played a major role in launching the impeachment procedures.
Mitch McConnell can **** all the way off with his bullshit, useless speech after he let Trump off the hook again! If Trump comes back and destroys democracy the second time, there’s no person more responsible than McConnell who was his ultimate protector throughout.
— Cenk Uygur (@cenkuygur) February 13, 2021
Senator Mitch McConnell reportedly utilized the impeachment process as means to pressure President Trump to not pardon Edward Snowden or Julian Assange in the final days of his term. One could argue that this decision to vote for Trump’s acquittal could partially be because the looming threat of a Snowden or Assange pardon is no longer on the table, now that Biden has assumed the Presidency.

Among the overwhelming majority of Democrats in the Senate, 7 establishment Republicans sided with their Democrat counterparts to convict President Trump. As National File reported, the 7 Republican senators include:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT)
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA)
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE)
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC)
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA)
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
President Trump released a statement regarding the historic acquittal through the Office of the Former President, as National File reported.
“I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending truth,” wrote President Trump. “My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who allegedly used the threat of a Senate conviction to blackmail President Donald Trump during his final days in office, seemed to call for a criminal trial against the former President only moments after voting to acquit him.

“January 6th was a disgrace. American citizens attacked their own government,” said McConnell, before claiming that President Trump inspired his supporters to use “terrorism” “to try to stop a specific piece of domestic business they did not like.”

They built a gallows and chanted about murdering the vice president,” said McConnell, without providing evidence. “They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth. Because he was angry. He had lost an election.”

The problem for the Uniparty (not just Democrats) is that once they finally have to stop the "orange man bad" and "oh, look-see it is the evil orange man, run he's under your bed!" type stuff, they then have to "own" everything from then on out.

Oh, they will still try to blame everything on Trump, but the further away from January 6th they get, the more a good portion of the public will just tune them out (the way many people on both sides of the political divide tuned them out) during this circus of a show trial.

They are desperate to keep the "All Orange All the Time" narrative because some of their leadership at least, realizes the train wreck that is about to hit the Uniparty when a whole lot of stuff goes wrong, nearly all at once in a cascade of COVID-19, Economic Destruction and 1930's levels of unemployment and eviction take off.

Those tent cities are not going to be called Trumpvilles, they will be Bidenvilles (or Harrisvilles and I don't mean the yarn company).

Now Reagan did have Reaganvilles because "Morning in America" had a rather nasty night to finish off before morning finally came, but Biden is no Reagan, I suspect the next generation may remember Bidenvilles the way mine grew up hearing the older folks all talking about Hoovervilles.

They stole it, they now own it....

Charles Hurt: After Impeachment Farce Ends, Next Comes 14th Amendment
510
WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 28: U.S. President Donald Trump participates in a prayer during an event in the Oval Office of the White House August 28, 2020 in Washington, DC. President Trump has officially pardoned former federal prisoner Alice Johnson, who was sentenced to life for cocaine trafficking in 1997 …
Anna Moneymaker/Pool/Getty Images
CHARLES HURT13 Feb 20211,931

With the result of the second impeachment charade a forgone conclusion in Washington, let us now turn to the final partisan tool remaining in Democrats’ torture closet: The 14th Amendment.

This amendment allows Congress to banish from future federal office any current or former politician deemed by congress to have “engaged in insurrection.” Its adoption after the Civil War was designed to prevent officers or political leaders of the Confederate regime from being elected to Congress or the presidency.

In a normal world, it would be impossible for Congress to punish a man for engaging in “insurrection” after Congress had just acquitted the same man of engaging in the same insurrection. Or, as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer recently called it on the Senate floor, “inciting the erection.”

But this is Washington and the man in question is former President Donald Trump, whose Latin name is Swampus Horribilis.

Gripped by hatred and fear of their long, partisan nightmare, Democrats in Congress today seek “unity” by heaving Mr. Trump into the dustbin of the Confederacy. In this name of “unity,” what precisely does that mean for the 74 million current Americans who just voted for this modern-day Jefferson Davis?

To be sure, it is a rusty, gnarly hatchet. But when all you have is a hatchet, everything is plump flesh and brittle bone. And hack away they will!

In the name of “unity.”

No one has ever accused Democrats in Washington of being particularly steeped in history. But even for them, this assault on history — and common sense and decency, for that matter — strains absurdity.

By just about every measure, the Civil War was our deadliest event. In terms of raw numbers, the war dead on either side in the Civil War eclipsed every war in our history except for World War II. More than 2% of America’s overall population perished in combat or from disease, starvation, suicide and execution during that conflict, eclipsing even World War II.

It was a brutal, four-year, bloody slog that literally tore the country apart and left fractures that linger even a century and a half later. Ever since, only the sickest politicians seek to exploit those fractures for their own political gain.

Given the current stock of statesmanship in Washington these days, do you doubt for a minute that these people won’t exploit those long ago fractures for a short term political payday today?

You bet. Donald Trump was a slaver who invented slavery and lashed slaves in the public square until their skin curdled with swollen scars. Every day of his presidency was just another Antietam. The high mark of his presidency was the Battle of Gettysburg.

As always, the most devastating thing you can do with unserious people like Democrats in Washington is to take them seriously for a minute.

One small problem with their precious 14th Amendment is that it did not recognize either women or “Indians not taxed” who lived in America at the time. I mean, I get it these people are all about “canceling” people they don’t like, especially based on race or gender. But pretty sure that canceling women and “Indians not taxed” would be totally, like, uncool.

The other really great thing about the 14th Amendment is that it includes a way out for Congress.

While the amendment allows Congress to cancel anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion,” it also gives Congress the power to un-cancel anyone as they see fit. Congress “may, by a vote of two-thirds of each house, remove such disability,” according to the amendment.
You see, some insurrections are worse than others.

Take Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee, the two most influential leaders of the aforementioned actual “Civil War.” In the 1970s, both men were granted amnesty by Congress under the 14th Amendment.

Then-Sen. Joseph R. Biden, Delaware Democrat, voted to absolve both men.

Because, after all, that wasn’t really an insurrection. I mean, not like this one.

THEY WANT HIM GONE! Republican Leader McConnell Hints That Trump Can Still Be Charged in Criminal Justice System

Republican leader Mitch McConnell trashed President Trump following his second acquittal Saturday by the US Senate.

McConnell brutally trashed President Trump following his acquittal.

McConnell and the GOP elites (GOPe) worked against President Trump for years preventing him from passing his wildly popular agenda to protect America, its workers, and its citizens.

As reported earlier, McConnell did not hold back as he ripped Trump apart for a “disgraceful dereliction of duty” and attempting to “overturn the election.”

He claimed that the protesters stormed the Capitol because they had been “fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth,” and that Trump was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day.”

And then Mitch McConnell suggested that President Trump can still be charged in the criminal justice system!

Censure Of Anti-Trump Senator Ben Sasse “Imminent”
February 13, 2021 6:35 pm

According to OANN’s Jack Posobiec, the censure of anti-Trump Senator Ben Sasse is “imminent”.

Sasse voted to impeach Trump.

Earlier in February, he was censured by one county in Nebraska.

From Ohama:
The Lincoln County Republican Party voted Sunday to join an effort to censure Sen. Ben Sasse.

Despite the snowy weather, 32 people attended Sunday’s meeting, according to county GOP Chairwoman Carol Friesen.

The censure resolution received unanimous approval, she said in an email.

The resolution criticizes the Republican senator for “dismissing the legitimate concerns” of Nebraska’s secretary of state, attorney general “and a huge majority of Republican voters” regarding allegations of fraud in November’s presidential election.
It also says he issued “statements inciting radical proposals and retributions against law-abiding elected Senators,” referring to Sens. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, who objected to certification of the Electoral College results. And it accuses Sasse of “failure to respect the high office of the President of the United States.”
Copies of the resolution will be sent to Sasse and to the Nebraska GOP office to state support for a similar resolution by the State Central Committee when it meets Saturday in Columbus.

WATCH: Pelosi Has Meltdown, Walks Away From Podium, Then Comes Back For Another Meltdown
by Clayton Keirns33 minutes ago

Trump has been found not guilty after another useless impeachment sham, and Democrats are pissed.

The most upset, however, is far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

After Trump was acquitted by a vote of 57-43 on Saturday, Pelosi had a total meltdown in front of reporters during her press briefing. Then when everyone thought she was “finished”, she got triggered and came back to the podium for another Oscar-worthy freakout.

What we saw in that Senate today was a cowardly group of Republicans who apparently have no options because they were afraid to defend their job, respect the institution in which they serve. ‘Hang Mike Pence’, was the chant, and they just dismissed that. Why? Maybe because they can’t get another job,” she said hysterically.

She then went on to act like she cares about the constitution:
