No it didn't. The IDF says it killed the head of the naval and submarine R&D department of Hamas's naval commando brigade. The head of the Hamas naval commando unit is just missing at this stage, out of contact with other members of the unit, per the military.

Report: Israel Showed U.S. Intelligence ‘Smoking Gun’ on Hamas Using Media Building


Israel reportedly showed U.S. officials “smoking gun” intelligence Sunday indicating that the Palestinian Hamas terrorist organization was using the Jala Tower in Gaza, which also housed the Associated Press, Al Jazeera, and other international news outlets.

On Saturday, Israel destroyed the tower, after warning the occupants to allow them to leave. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tweeted that the building contained “Hamas military intelligence assets” and that the media had been used as “human shields.”




Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also highlighted the destruction of the building on his Instagram account.

The Associated Press denied any knowledge that the building had been used by terrorists, and international press freedom groups accused Israel of trying to censor coverage of events in Gaza. The Biden administration also complained about the strike.

But on Sunday, according to the Jerusalem Post, Israel shared its evidence that the building had been used by Hamas:

Israel shared intelligence with the US showing how Hamas operated inside the same building with the Associated Press and Al-Jazeera in Gaza, officials in Jerusalem said on Sunday.
Officials in more than one government office confirmed that US President Joe Biden’s phone call to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday was, in part, about the bombing of the building, and that Israel showed Biden and American officials the intelligence behind the action.
“We showed them the smoking gun proving Hamas worked out of that building,” a source close to Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said. “I understand they found the explanation satisfactory.”

They're not normal as we understand it. I was looking at some thing a couple of days ago -- some "teacher" indoctrinating young kindergarten-age girls. When she's done, she asks them what they learned:

Preliminary information obtained on Channel 13, resuscitation is being carried out on critically injured. Apparently there are many casualties and MADA paramedics are trying to get to the scene. Probably between 30-50 injured (careful report from Channel 13)

Both of the critically wounded had passed away , 6 remain in serious but stable condition, 54 were hospitalized overall. #Israel

No, they had gathered for a holy day/holiday . Seems to be a case of too many people and too much weight on and unfinished portion of the building.

ETA: to me it seems as if they were standing on scaffolding or something since they were elevated but I am not really sure.

Ah, ok

Thought maybe because it was on this thread that they got hit by a rocket or a bomb or some Arab sawed the legs off etc...
