Fmr FDA Commissioner Gottlieb: CDC’s ‘Confusing’ Mask Guidance to Have ‘Negligible Impact’ on Delta Variant Wave

PAM KEY28 Jul 202119

Former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said Wednesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that since the Delta variant wave of the coronavirus pandemic has already run its course, the impact of the new “confusing” CDC mask guidelines will not have a big impact.

Co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin said, “It feels like over the past 24, 48, 72 hours things have shifted, at least our understanding has shifted. The thing that struck me most was the comment from the CDC director effectively suggesting that they believe if there’s a breakthrough infection in somebody who’s vaccinated that they have as much of the virus in them and the ability to shed it and therefore share it with others as somebody who’s unvaccinated.”

Gottlieb said, “Well, look, I don’t think things have shifted. I think they’ve gotten more confusing for the average consumer because of the shifting advice from CDC. The bottom line is, and we’ve said on this show many times, the vaccine doesn’t make you impervious to the infection. There are some people developing mild symptoms after vaccination. If you live in a high prevalence area, the advice I have been giving people is that if you are taking care of young children or other people who are vulnerable, you should be mindful that even if you are vaccinated, if you are in contact with the virus, there is a risk you could contract the virus. With a much more transmittable strain like Delta, where you develop high viral levels earlier in the course of the infection, there is probably also a risk that you can transmit the virus. People need to be mindful of that if they are in contact with someone who can be vulnerable.”

He continued, “Whether or not that should then translate into general guidance for the entire population that if you are vaccinated, you should wear a mask, I don’t think that’s the case. I don’t think we’re going to get enough bang for our buck by telling vaccinated people they have to wear masks at all times to make it worth our while. I think we’re further into this Delta wave than we’re picking up. I have been saying that for weeks. I think in another two or three weeks, we’ll be through this. This new guidance will have a negligible impact on that.”

Gottlieb added, “I think much more prudent guidance to people would be that if you are vaccinated, you in a high prevalence area, you are in contact with the virus, you think you might have the virus because you have mild symptoms of it, be prudent get tested, maybe wear a mask especially if you’re around a vulnerable person. That should be the bottom line guidance we give CDC is having trouble measuring this right now.”

Analysis Finds Counties with Above-Average Vaccination Rates Reporting Higher Coronavirus Case Rates

Some California counties with above-average vaccination rates are also reporting higher cases of the Chinese coronavirus, according to the Bay Area News Group’s analysis of state data.

According to Mercury News, the analysis found virus cases “soaring” in counties with high vaccination rates, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco. All of those areas boast higher vaccination rates, yet they are also reporting more new cases of the Chinese coronavirus. Meanwhile, five counties with below-average vaccination rates — Modoc, Glenn, Lassen, Del Norte, San Benito — have experienced a dip in new cases.

Despite that, experts contend that vaccines are still effective.

Per CBS Sacramento:
However, UCSF infectious disease expert Dr. Phillip Norris clarifies that the data doesn’t mean the vaccine is not working.

He notes, first, the counties referenced with higher vaccination and case rates are more densely populated.

“If there are a lot of people around you’re more likely to bump into one who has COVID,” Norris explained.
He also points to the reports of the delta variant carrying a significantly higher viral load than other variants.

All the while, federal health officials are continuing to promote widespread vaccines, although the Biden White House effectively undermined its own messaging on vaccine efficacy after touting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) updated guidance, recommending fully vaccinated individuals to wear a mask in certain indoor settings. Even White House press secretary Jen Psaki was unable to explain away the discrepancy in vaccine messaging.

“If vaccines work…then why do people who have the vaccine need to now wear masks?” Peter Doocy of Fox News asked her on Tuesday.

“The public health leaders in our administration have made the determination, based on data, that that is a way to make sure they’re protected,” she said.

Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC, has blamed unvaccinated people for reinstating mask guidance, claiming it “could have been avoided” if more Americans got the shot when the government instructed them to. At the same time, Walensky admitted they are worried the virus is “just a few mutations” away from evading vaccines altogether.

Vaccines Forever: Pfizer Data Claims Third Jab ‘Strongly Boosts’ Protection Against Coronavirus Delta Variant

Pfizer/BioNTech data released Wednesday suggests a third dose of the vaccine “strongly boosts” protection against the coronavirus delta variant.

The data, which the company is expected to discuss in an earnings call on Wednesday, claims a third shot of the Pfizer vaccine can “boost” protection against the virus variant.

“COVID-19 Vaccine: 3rd Dose Strongly Boosts Neutralizing Titers Against Delta Strain1,2,” page 27 of the slide presentation reads. It goes on to suggest that the antibody levels against the delta variant are greater than five-fold for those ages 18 to 55 after a third shot, and it is more than 11-fold for individuals ages 65 to 85.

“Estimated potential for up to 100-fold increase in Delta neutralization post-dose three compared to pre-dose three,” researchers found, as detailed in the presentation.

This is far from the first time a third shot has been put into the conversation. In February, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said fully vaccinated individuals — those who received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine — would likely need another shot,
“We believe that the third dose will raise the antibody response 10- to 20- fold,” Bourla told NBC’s Lester Holt at the time.

“Every year, you need to go to get your flu vaccine,” Bourla said. “It’s going to be the same with COVID. In a year, you will have to go and get your annual shot for Covid to be protected.”

In April, he floated the idea of annual coronavirus shots yet again.

“A likely scenario is that there will be likely a need for a third dose, somewhere between six and 12 months and then from there, there will be an annual revaccination, but all of that needs to be confirmed. And again, the variants will play a key role,” Bourla told CNBC’s Bertha Coombs during a CVSHealth event.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has made headlines for constantly flip-flopping his positions throughout the pandemic and dismissing his critics as attacking science itself, also said Americans may “very well may need to get booster shots.”

The news follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updating its guidance on Tuesday, instructing fully vaccinated people to “wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.”

The White House has been utterly unable to explain how the updated guidance does not undermine their vaccine messaging.

“If vaccines work…then why do people who have the vaccine need to now wear masks?” Peter Doocy of Fox News asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday.

“The public health leaders in our administration have made the determination, based on data, that that is a way to make sure they’re protected,” she said.

CDC Director: Areas Need ‘Documented’ ‘Full Vaccination’ in Schools and Low Case Rates to Start Thinking about Loosening School Masks

IAN HANCHETT28 Jul 2021642

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky stated that if there are areas where “we have full vaccination in schools, we have full vaccination in teachers, all of those are documented, we have disease rates that are low,” then they can think about loosening up mask rules in schools.

Co-host John Berman asked, “If all kids in a classroom were vaccinated, would there be a need to wear masks?”

Walensky answered, “We have always said that our guidance has to be taken to the local level. And this is — I can imagine a situation where a school system might have all of their teachers documented and vaccinated, all of their children in a high school documented as vaccinated, and very little disease in the community. Right now, we don’t have a lot of situations that are like that, but I could imagine a situation like that, and boy do I hope we get there as schools start to open and we have more and more people vaccinated and disease comes down. And that might be a very reasonable approach. Right now, we have very few places in the country where that is true.”

Berman later asked, “Well, what’s the metric then for dropping the mask mandates — not mask mandates, the mask guidance in schools? At what point will you say, this is not something that we recommend?”

Walensky responded, “I think if we see more and more people who are vaccinated, our children are vaccinated, we have full vaccination in schools, we have full vaccination in teachers, all of those are documented, we have disease rates that are low, I think then we can start thinking about what — how we can loosen up and not seeing clusters and outbreaks in these school systems. The thing that’s most important to me through all of this is that our kids get back in school full-time in-person learning. And we’re not there yet. We’re far from there. And I want our children to be safe.”

Berman then asked, “But can we put a number on it? … And right now, you say, in communities with transmission less than 50 cases per 100,000, that’s the level where people in the community need to wear masks. But what about schools? In communities with case rates less than, what, 10 per 100,000, maybe that’s something where kids won’t have to wear masks in schools?”

Walensky answered, “I think if we had overwhelming rates of vaccination — mandated vaccination may be one way to get there — and we saw a lot more blue on that map. As you can see on that map, it’s more red and orange than anywhere blue. But if we saw a lot more blue on that map with high vaccination rates, and to be clear, these will go hand in hand. If we have more and more people vaccinated, we will win in this race and the virus will be less transmitting and we will be able to be able to lift some of these things.”

"Not Grounded In Reality": Many Republican Governors Make Clear They Will Not Be Mandating Masks Or Vaccines

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 05:20 PM

Republican governors are starting to speak out against what is becoming almost daily flip-flopping by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), who is now once again advocating that everybody wear masks indoors.

Several governors have said their respective states would break from the CDC's recommendation and not return to the mask mandates, according to the Hill.
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts railed against the CDC:
“The CDC’s new guidance suggesting that vaccinated people wear masks indoors flies in the face of the public health goals that should guide the agency’s decision making. The State of Nebraska will not be adopting their mask guidance.”
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey also spoke out:
“Public health officials in Arizona and across the country have made it clear that the best protection against COVID-19 is the vaccine. Today’s announcement by the CDC will unfortunately only diminish confidence in the vaccine and create more challenges for public health officials — people who have worked tirelessly to increase vaccination rates.”

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said on Wednesday that the Delta variant has "changed the agency’s best understanding of the science of the virus".

And as soon as we tailor everything to one variant, it'll be on to the next, right?
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has said he “trusts parents to… make the best choices for their kids.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office also spoke out:
“Gov. Abbott has been clear that the time for government mandating of masks is over — now is the time for personal responsibility. Every Texan has the right to choose whether they will wear a mask, or have their children wear masks.”
Texas had previously issued a mask mandate in 2020, requiring citizens to wear masks indoors for 250 days. After that, Abbott issued an executive order preventing local governments from issuing their own orders.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds also spoke out, calling the new rules “not grounded in reality or common sense.”
“I’m concerned that this guidance will be used as a vehicle to mandate masks in states and schools across the country, something I do not support,” she continued.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem also spoke out on Twitter:
“The CDC shifts their position AGAIN. South Dakota’s cases remain low. If you’re worried about the virus, you’re free to get vaccinated, wear a mask, or stay home. But we won’t be mandating anything. And the CDC’s inconsistency doesn’t help the American people.”
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey also said she would not be taking additional steps to mandate the vaccine:
“There are those who believe that government should mandate the vaccine or that we should bribe people to take it. That’s not going to happen in my state, no matter how many times the media ask me.”
Meanwhile the line from the Biden administration has been that the new rules will help “avoid the kind of lockdowns, shutdowns, school closures and disruptions we faced in 2020.”

"Unlike 2020, we have both the scientific knowledge and the tools to prevent the spread of this disease. We are not going back to that,” Biden said.
Maybe someone should get him a copy of USA Today:

California Counties See COVID Cases Rising In Most Heavily Vaccinated Counties

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 03:40 PM

Some might have been surprised to see California on Dr. Anthony Fauci's map of high-risk areas where the new federal indoor mask mandates must be obeyed. The Golden State was deemed more high risk than Texas. Indeed, scientists are finding that despite its high vaccination rates, California is seeing more COVID cases than it should.

California and its big coastal cities have embraced vaccines in their effort to beat back the COVID pandemic. But a Bay Area News Group analysis shows that not only are cases rising fast, they are rising in areas where there are more fully vaccinated people. Some of these counties have both among the highest vaccination rates, and the highest new-case rates.

Notice that five of these counties have both a higher percentage of their eligible residents fully vaccinated and a higher average daily case rate than the statewide average. They include: LA, San Diego, Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco. The five counties with falling case rates are Modoc, Glenn, Lassen, Del Norte, San Benito, and they, coincidentally, have below-average vaccination rates.

Source: Mercury News

As to what might be causing this, experts point to two things: the extraordinary ease with which the virus' now-dominant delta strain spreads, and the fact that no vaccine offers complete protection.
"I am not so surprised that transmission rates are not neatly tracking immunization rates," said Dr. Stephen Luby, a medical professor specializing in infectious diseases at Stanford University.

"There are a number of issues that contribute to transmission," Luby said. "In high density urban settings, for example, even with a higher level of vaccine coverage, there can still be a lot of exposure to unvaccinated folks and potentially to folks who are vaccinated but are asymptomatically shedding the delta variant."
Reports of the vaccines' effectiveness against the delta variant have been mixed. In Israel, the Ministry of Health suspects the protection afforded by the Pfizer jab might be as low as 64%.

LA was the first major city to reimpose an indoor mask mandate, while California and NYC have both ordered all public workers, including police and teachers, to get vaccinated, or face constant testing and masking.

Of course, not everybody believes the CDC's new measures are the best strategy.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb said earlier that the delta "surge" will pass in the US within two or three weeks.

USA Today Scrubs Passage Suggesting Vaccinated Individuals May Spread COVID With 'Higher Levels' Of Virus

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 10:45 AM
Authored by Kyle Becker via Becker News (emphasis ours),

“NBC News, citing unnamed officials aware of the decision, reported it comes after new data suggests vaccinated individuals could have higher levels of virus and infect others amid the surge of cases driven by the delta variant of the coronavirus,” the USA Today reported in a passage that was later scrubbed from an article.

A screenshot from the article and an online archive of the passage points out the surfacing evidence.

The story from the USA Today drops the reference to NBC News, but nonetheless corroborates the news: “CDC says vaccinated people may transmit virus, recommends masks indoors.”

“CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said new data shows the delta variant, which accounts for more than 80% of the new infections in the U.S., behaves ‘uniquely differently’ from its predecessors and could make vaccinated people infectious,” the article notes.

Information on the delta variant from several states and other countries indicates that in rare occasions some vaccinated people infected with the delta variant after vaccination may be contagious and spread the virus to others,” Walensky said in announcing new guidance, which reverses a CDC recommendation in May. “This new science is worrisome and unfortunately warrants an update to our recommendation.”

NBC News reported on the CDC guidance reversal on Monday.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Tuesday that fully vaccinated people begin wearing masks indoors again in places with high Covid-19 transmission rates,” NBC News reported. “The agency is also recommending kids wear masks in schools this fall.”

“Federal health officials still believe fully vaccinated individuals represent a very small amount of transmission,” the report continued. “Still, some vaccinated people could be carrying higher levels of the virus than previously understood and potentially transmit it to others.

"I Think In Another 3 Weeks We'll Be Through This" - Dr. Gottlieb Dismisses CDC's Mask Mandate As Unnecessary

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 01:48 PM

While CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Dr. Anthony Fauci insist that Americans must get vaccinated to protect "the children" from the delta variant (although the vaccines can't offer a guarantee of protection against it), it's refreshing to hear from another public health expert who disagrees with the official approach. Often since the start of the pandemic, former FDA chief (and Pfizer board member) Dr. Scott Gottlieb has shared his often divergent views on what's appropriate with CNBC and its competitors.
"The bottom line is, the vaccine does not make you impervious to infection," Gottlieb said during an appearance on CNBC. "There are some people who are developing mild and asymptomatic infections even after vaccination."
Although he acknowledges that the vaccine "does not make you impervious" to infection by delta, Dr. Gottlieb questioned whether the general guidance on mask-wearing is a smart strategy, claiming that returning to indoor mask-wearing in some areas would have only a "negligible impact" given the vaccination rates, even in the areas with lower vaccination rates and higher hospitalizations. Cases have been falling in UK and Europe, which many say portends a drop in the US as well.

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1420337062809640960
1:58 min

The US would get through the worst of the delta surge in a matter of weeks, Dr. Gottlieb predicted. Just look at the trend in the UK, where cases have rolled over completely. "I think in another two or three weeks we'll be through this," Dr. Gottlieb said.

Finally, he added that the new guidance from the CDC would likely have a "negligible impact" on public health and that federal officials should instead focus on more targeted messaging on guidance for high-risk areas.
"I don't think that's the case," he said. "I don't think we're going to get enough bang for our buck by telling vaccinated people they have to wear masks at all times to make it worth our while. I think we're further into this delta wave than we're picking up. I think in another two or three weeks we'll be through this."
Though he added that it's probably a good idea to mask up around an immuno-compromised individual, or somebody at heightened risk for infection.
"If you are vaccinated in a high prevalence area, in contact with virus, you think you might have the virus because you have mild symptoms--be prudent, get tested, maybe wear a mask especially if you are around a vulnerable person,"
On Wall Street and in the ivory towers of academia, many are predicting that delta won't penetrate very deeply despite the CDC's warnings about a "crisis of the unvaccinated". JPM and Goldman, among others, have projected that delta won't pose a substantial headwind to growth for any of the developed countries with high vaccination rates (Australia, notably, isn't in this group given it's low vaccination rate).

CDC Director Hints At 'Health Passes', Warns COVID May Be "Few Mutations" Away From Evading Vaccines

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 12:10 PM
Authored by Ivan Pentchoukov via The Epoch Times,

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky told reporters during a teleconference on Tuesday that her biggest concern is that the CCP virus may be “just a few mutations” away from being able to evade vaccines.
“The largest concern that I think we in public health and science are worried about is that virus and the potential mutations. We have a very transmissible virus which has the potential to evade our vaccines in terms of how it protects us from severe disease and death,” Walensky said.

“Right now, fortunately, we are not there. These vaccines operate really well in protecting us from severe disease and death. But the big concern is the next variant that might emerge, just a few mutations potentially away, could potentially evade our vaccines.”

[ZH: Remember just a few weeks before she lifted the mask mandate, Walensky warned the world of a sense of "impending doom."]

Walensky advised that the threat of a variant that is immune to the current vaccines is the reason more Americans should be vaccinated in a bid to contain the virus and its mutations.

[ZH: read that sentence again and consider what the nation's (if not the world's) leading health official is saying!]

More than 163 million Americans have been fully vaccinated as of Tuesday, according to the CDC.

The CDC issued new guidance on Tuesday advising fully vaccinated people to wear masks indoors if they are “in an area of substantial or high transmission.”

More than 63 percent of the counties in the United States had substantial or high COVID-19 transmission rates as of Tuesday, according to the CDC.
COVID-19 is the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.

The guidance issued on Tuesday is a reversal of the advisory the agency issued in May which said fully vaccinated people don’t have to wear masks indoors and in most other settings.

The latest surge in COVID-19 cases in the United States has been driven by the spread of the Delta variant of the CCP virus. The variant comprised more than half of all new infections by early June and has become more prevalent since, according to the CDC’s strain surveillance program.
“We are dealing with a much different strain of this virus than we were even earlier in the spring, back in May, when the masking guidance was done — provided by the CDC at that time,” White House press secretary Jenn Psaki told reporters on Tuesday, addressing questions about the variant and the new CDC guidance.
“Their job is to look at evolving information, evolving data, an evolving historic pandemic, and provide guidance to the American public.”
[ZH: And finally, another conspiracy theory seems more likely to be about to become fact.]

Dr. Fauci Insists CDC "Didn't Flip Flop" As He Tries To Shift Focus To Children

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 11:55 AM
Just hours after CDC Director Rochelle Walensky unveiled the agency's new indoor mask mandate, Dr. Anthony Fauci was dispatched to MSNBC, his favorite network, to push the Biden Administration's narrative for reversing course and tightening federal restrictions despite repeated promises not to.

He also tried to shift the focus to the risk to children, who remain largely unvaccinated, laying the groundwork for the inevitable battle between federal public health officials and skeptical parents.

Central to his argument is that the delta variant is responsible for "as much as 90%" of new infections in the US. Because of this, the nature of the virus has changed.
"The Delta variant is the totally dominant variant now in this country, 88% as much as 90%+...but increasingly now people who are vaccinated are getting infected with the delta variant."
Pressed about the reason why masks in particular are necessary once again, Dr. Fauci offered a highly technical explanation that noneless doesn't really make sense when one considers the rates of new cases and hospitalizations in the highly vaccinated states.
"The data are clear ... that when a person gets infected who has been vaccinated ... and they get infected with the Delta variant, that the level of virus in their nasopharynx is about 1,000 times higher than with the Alpha variant."
New data like these are the reason why the CDC decided to pull the trigger on the new federal mandate, and why President Biden may soon require all federal employees to get vaccinated. But Dr. Fauci insisted that the agency didn't "flip flop", but rather that "something has changed."
"Something has changed. And what has changed is the virus. The CDC hasn't changed, and the CDC hasn't really flip-flopped at all. What's happened is that when that earlier recommendation was made, we were dealing predominantly with the Alpha variant."
What has changed is that across the country, deaths and hospitalizations have plunged. And unfortunately, the ultra-liberal jurisdictions where mask and vaccine mandates will be the most strict are the areas that least need these precautions. Notably, deep blue California is in the deep red category, while Texas isn't. Only the deep red and orange states need to observe the new mask guidance.

Watch the interview in its entirety below:

Both Dr. Fauci and CDC Director Rochelle Walensky also tried to shift the focus to children by claiming that COVID is "not a benign disease" for kids.

Dr. Fauci even offered a number:
1627515566301.png
"We have about 400 deaths among children right now with Covid-19. So we shouldn't make the false assumption that it's okay for kids to get infected. ... We need to protect the children."
400 deaths of children since the start of the pandemic, a number that has reportedly grown more rapidly since the delta variant first emerged.

Those deaths represent just 0.0005% of the 73MM American children, and just 0.07% of all COVID deaths.

But Dr. Fauci and Dr. Walensky are insistent that this represents an emerging crisis. Will COVID soon become a "crisis of child mortality?" The way things are going, we wouldn't be surprised...

While it probably doesn't matter to Dr. Fauci, research published by the Lancet back in March showed that children and young people remain "at low risk" for COVID. That may have been before delta became so widespread, but there's no new data to suggest that child mortality has increased since then.

Johns Hopkins Physician — The Power of Natural Covid Immunity…

Johns Hopkins Dr. Marty Makary

EXCERPT FROM WALL STREET JOURNAL

The news about the U.S. Covid pandemic is even better than you’ve heard. Some 80% to 85% of American adults are immune to the virus: More than 64% have received at least one vaccine dose and, of those who haven’t, roughly half have natural immunity from prior infection. There’s ample scientific evidence that natural immunity is effective and durable, and public-health leaders should pay it heed.

Only around 10% of Americans have had confirmed positive Covid tests, but four to six times as many have likely had the infection. A February study in Nature used antibody screenings in late summer 2020 to estimate there had been seven times as many actual cases as confirmed cases. A similar study, by the University of Albany and New York State Department of Health, revealed that by the end of March 2020—the first month of New York’s pandemic—23% of the city’s population had antibodies. That share necessarily increased as the pandemic spread.

Natural immunity is durable. Researchers from Washington University in St. Louis reported last month that 11 months after a mild infection immune cells were still capable of producing protective antibodies. The authors concluded that prior Covid infection induces a “robust” and “long-lived humoral immune response,” leading some scientists to suggest that natural immunity is probably lifelong. Because infection began months earlier than vaccination, we have more follow-up data on the duration of natural immunity than on vaccinated immunity.

Skeptics of natural immunity point to Manaus, capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas, where reports in January suggested a wave of re-infections despite herd immunity. But the initial estimate of those infected was incorrect because it was based on antibody testing among those who donated convalescent plasma—an unrepresentative subgroup of the population. A follow-up study debunked the re-infection hypothesis and found only three confirmed re-infections in the entire state, whose population exceeds four million. Other studies have confirmed that re-infections are rare and usually asymptomatic or mild.

Should the previously infected be vaccinated? My clinical advice to healthy patients with natural immunity is that one shot is sufficient, and maybe not even necessary, although it could increase the long-term durability of immunity. A University of Pennsylvania study of people previously infected with Covid found that a single vaccine dose triggered a strong immune response, with no increase in that response after a second dose. A separate study from New York’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine concluded that “the antibody response to the first vaccine dose in individuals with pre-existing immunity is equal to or even exceeds the titers found in naïve”—never-infected—“individuals after the second dose.”

Dr. Fauci said last Aug. 13 that when you have fewer than 10 cases per 100,000, “you should be able to open up safely and clearly.” The U.S. reached that point in mid-May. It’s time to stop the fear mongering and level with the public about the incredible capabilities of both modern medical research and the human body’s immune system.

CDC Director: Vaccine Passports ‘May Very Well Be a Path Forward’ in US

BY JACK PHILLIPS
July 28, 2021 Updated: July 28, 2021

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky suggested that vaccine passport-style systems might be implemented in the United States amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

When asked in a TV interview Wednesday about whether the United States would mandate a European-style “health pass” system for nightclubs or bars, Walensky said, “That may very well be a path forward.”

The director further said that “in some fully vaccinated venues,” it “is possible” for a fully vaccinated individual to transmit and pick up COVID-19 “in those settings” and added that federal officials have “seen that” during studies.

COVID-19 is the illness caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

Her comments came after the CDC announced Tuesday it would recommend people wear masks in some areas with high transmission. Vaccinated and unvaccinated children should also wear masks when fall classes start, the CDC also said, reversing guidance issued only a few weeks ago that suggested only unvaccinated children wear masks.

Hours after the CDC issued its latest guidance, President Joe Biden told reporters that the federal government is considering mandating all federal employees to get the vaccine.

“That’s under consideration right now,” Biden told a reporter who asked whether the administration was weighing such a requirement.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Monday that the administration had not made a determination about whether it would be legal for Biden to require federal employees to be vaccinated. The U.S. federal government is the country’s largest employer.

Biden plans to announce “next steps” on Thursday in the effort to get more Americans to receive vaccines.

“In the meantime, more vaccinations and mask wearing in the areas most impacted by the Delta variant will enable us to avoid the kind of lockdowns, shutdowns, school closures, and disruptions we faced in 2020,” he said. “Unlike 2020, we have both the scientific knowledge and the tools to prevent the spread of this disease. We are not going back to that.”

Vaccine passport-type systems have been flagged by Republicans and civil liberties groups like the ACLU as a significant violation of individuals’ privacy.

GOP-led states, led by Florida, have passed measures barring state and local governments from imposing such systems, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis went a step further in May and signed a bill prohibiting all private businesses from doing so.

When so-called “health passes” were introduced in France and Italy in recent days, thousands of people demonstrated in major European cities over the past weekend, accusing the respective governments of using tyrannical coercion measures.

REVEALED_ Fascistbook Worked Directly With CDC, Gave Free Ads to Steer the Fear-Based Covid Narrative

REVEALED: Fascistbook Worked Directly With CDC, Gave Free Ads to Steer the Fear-Based Covid Narrative

By J.D. Rucker • Jul. 28, 2021

A press release today by Judicial Watch needs as much attention as possible from patriots across the country since it won’t get mentioned by mainstream media. Facebook, a company that is protected by Section 230 and is supposed to be completely devoid of government interference or attachment, worked directly with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to fight Covid-19 “misinformation” and to spread “trusted facts” to the masses. Moreover, they gave the CDC free advertising to the tune of $3.5 million.

Let’s cut to the chase. This is as clear of an indicator as we’ve seen that Facebook is the for-profit wing of the U.S. government (and likely the CCP) that acts as their arbiter-of-truth. They should not be given Section 230 protections for this and various other reasons, including censorship of conservative ideologies and complete lack of attention to user privacy.

But there’s another disturbing revelation that comes from all of this. The collusion between the CDC and Facebook didn’t start in June, 2020, when the rush to control the narrative was believed to have started. It wasn’t earlier in March, 2020, when the U.S. government first launched “15 Days to Slow the Spread.” Facebook and the CDC started coordinating their propaganda efforts in January, 2020, long before Covid-19 was called Covid-19 and at a time when it was barely on the public’s radar.

A combination of censorship, fearmongering, and adherence to the pro-vaccine message have prompted many skeptics to denounce the Big Tech “platform” for their disinformation campaigns. They claim to believe in the science but they’ve been caught quashing real science that does not fit the narrative they’ve been ordered to disseminate.

Facebook and other Big Tech companies have wielded so-called “fact-checkers” to “debunk” factual information from before the beginning of the pandemic. Studies about the efficacy of Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and other treatments were removed and users were often banned at the behest of the CDC. This definitely caused the unnecessary deaths of countless people; Facebook has blood on their hands for that portion of the disinformation campaigns.

That, unfortunately, is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks to Judicial Watch we have the emails but we do not have the text or voice conversations that likely happened as the CDC and Facebook coordinated to maximize fear and minimize critical thinking by the masses.

Anything that even hints at vaccine skepticism is anathema on the “platform,” including fact-based news that reveals legitimate concerns. Doctors and scientists telling the truth about vaccines are stifled immediately. Entire news organizations that share facts about vaccines (including my Truth Based Media site) have been completely blacklisted across Facebook.

Yes, Fascistbook is evil, and the U.S. government’s Ministry of Truth uses them to keep the sheep properly fenced in. Sadly, most sheep still on the “platform” do not realize the slaughter that awaits them.

Here’s the press release:

Judicial Watch: CDC Coordinated with Facebook On COVID Messaging and ‘Misinformation’; CDC Received Over $3.5 Million in Free Advertising from Social Media Companies

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today that it received 2,469 pages of new documents from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which reveal that Facebook coordinated closely with the CDC to control the COVID narrative and “misinformation” and that over $3.5 million in free advertising given to the CDC by social media companies.

These new documents were received in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health of Human Services (No. 1:21-cv-00625)) lawsuit for:

Any and all records of communication between CDC officials and/or employees and employees, agents, and/or representatives of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube concerning, regarding, or relating to COVID-19 related content on company platforms. Such records include, but are not limited to, any advice or instructions issued on disinformation re COVID-19.

The documents show collusion between the CDC and Big Tech on Covid-19 message and misinformation:

In an email exchange beginning on January 26, 2020 with the subject, “Data for Good | CDC intros,” a Facebook representative sends the “FB coronavirus narrative” to the CDC.

It states the following:

Facebook is taking a three pronged approached to the global response for the coronavirus:

Limit misinformation and other harmful content on our platforms. Our third-party fact-checkers have been rating information on this topic as false, including the AP, Politifact, AFP Hong Kong, Rapple IQ in the Philippines. As a result, we show people who come across that false content accurate information from our fact-checking partners and strong warning labels. We also send notifications to people who already shared this content alerting them that it’s been fact checked.

Provide accurate and helpful information on our platforms t our partners. Partners are already using our platforms to share accurate information about the situation, including ono Pages. We have also provided ad credits to the World Health Organization and the Philippines’ Department of Health to enable them to run coronavirus education campaigns on Facebook in-region, which we will continue to do. We’re continuing to explore additional steps we can take, including dedicated information modules on relevant search queries and improved search ranking.

Empower partners with data tools. We’re sharing aggregated mobility data and high resolution density maps with various partners (e.g., National Tsinghua University (Taiwan); Harvard School oof Public Health) to help inform forecasting models for the spread of the virus as part of our broader Data for Good program.

We’re exploring doing this with a broader set of partners (e.g., WHO, US CDC) and also helping partners understand how people are talking about the issue online through tools like Crowdtangle to inform their efforts.

This email exchange continues on showing more coordination on messaging between the CDC and Facebook.

The CDC was given over $3.5 million of free advertising on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

In a March 8, 2020 email, a Facebook representative sends four ad credits totaling $2 million to the CDC for the purpose of supporting “messaging related to coronavirus.”

On March 14, 2020, then-CDC Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer Sherri Berger emails Facebook to thank them for the $2 million.

“On behalf of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by the authority delegated to me through Section 231 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. Section 238), as amended, thank you for Facebook’s non-monetary gift of advertising credited with an estimated value of $2,000,000. The gift will be used by CDC’s COVID-19 response to support dissemination of critical public health messaging. Thank you!”

In an email exchange between August 10-11, 2020, the CDC’s Sherri Berger emails Facebook again to thank them for another $1 million in ad credits with a similar message to that on March 14, except she adds: “This gift will be used by the CDC’s COVID-19 response to distribute scientifically accurate data, guidance and risk communication information on COVID-19 to a broader audience.” In an email exchange on August 25, 2020, Facebook makes CDC officials aware that of their recent gift of $1 million in ad credits, $529,207.42 remain.

In a heavily redacted email exchange on March 17, 2020, a Twitter official offers the CDC advertising in the form of Twitter’s Promoted Trend and Promoted Spotlight Trend, which have approximate values given as $75,000 and $150,000.

In an email exchange beginning March 16, 2020, a Google representative offers the CDC free video advertising on YouTube. In the exchange, they claim to not be able to assign a dollar value to this advertising. The CDC’s official acceptance document for this advertising, which they value at $0, Sherri Berger states:I understand that Google LLC may be a vendor and/or lobbyist employed and that Google LLC’s employees may be registered lobbyists. Providing the gift will not prevent Google LLC or its affiliates from supplying products of services to CDC in the future; CDC, however, is under no obligation to accept future services from Google LLC or its affiliates.

In a February 27, 2020 email, a Facebook representative offers to put CDC officials in contact with WhatsApp in order to establish auto-responses to FAQs about coronavirus in that communications platform.

“These documents show that Facebook and the CDC are joined at the hip on managing the ever-changing Covid-19 ‘narrative’ – which includes censorship of alleged ‘misinformation’,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Looks like the inoculation is working as planned.

Whistleblowers Say They Were Told To Downplay COVID Outbreak At Biden Child Migrant Camp Operated By Servpro

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 10:00 PM

Two additional whistleblowers have come forward, accusing federal contractors and senior federal employee managers at a Department of Health and Human Services migrant shelter in Fort Bliss, TX of mistreating children and telling them to downplay hundreds of COVID-19 infections among the children detained at the facility.

"Covid was widespread among children and eventually spread to many employees. Hundreds of children contracted Covid in the overcrowded conditions. Adequate masks were not consistently provided to children, nor was their use consistently enforced," whistleblowers Arthur Pearlstein and Lauren Reinhold alleged in a federal whistleblower complaint filed on Wednesday, according to NBC News.

According to the complaint, workers at the camp were given regular written instructions from HHS public affairs that told them "when asked, to make everything sound positive about the Fort Bliss experience and to play down anything negative."

At a town hall with employees, a senior manager from the U.S. Public Health Service refused to share the rate of infections, explaining that he did not want the number to end up reported by the media, they said.
Pearlstein and Reinhold are federal employees who volunteered to be detailed to the shelter when the Biden administration ramped up staffing to accommodate the influx of unaccompanied children crossing the border by building emergency intake shelters like Fort Bliss and others.
NBC News previously reported that Servpro [!?], a company that specializes in disaster cleanup and has no child welfare experience, oversaw the care of nearly 5,000 children in Ft. Bliss in early May and June.
In their complaint, which was filed by lawyers from the Government Accountability Project, Pearlstein and Reinhold said two other contractors in addition to Servpro — Chenega Corporation and Rapid Deployment Inc. — also handled the close to $1 billion in contracts the federal government paid to operate Fort Bliss. None of the three companies had child care experience and they did not properly vet applicants to be sure they had relevant experience, they said.
As a result of the government using contractors with no childcare experience, federal detailees with no background in child psychology were tasked with interviewing over 5,000 children to determine whether they need special attention due to sex or labor trafficking, or a history of other abuse.

"They did their level best, flagging those who required special attention," reads the complaint.

A spokesperson for Servpro said on July 7 that a franchise holder operated the contract and that the company "immediately advised the franchise operator that these are not approved Servpro offerings," adding "We have been informed by the franchise operator that it is no longer providing these services through the Servpro franchise."

The same day, a HHS spokesperson said: "HHS has taken action to improve the conditions at Fort Bliss and at all Emergency Intake Sites. Children are receiving nutritionally appropriate meals and there are now 60 mental health professionals on site at Fort Bliss and counselors at all other emergency intake sites."

Perhaps the worst part about all of this - according to Pearlstein and Reinhold, "the contractors gave children false hopes of reuniting with family members only to pull them back at the last minute, even taking children out of lines for buses and off airplanes before takeoff."
They also alleged there was widespread lice in girls' tents that was left untreated. And in May, they said, there were riots in some of the boys' tents.

"Ms. Reinhold witnessed security contractors surrounding a tent during one incident. Detailees were never briefed about the riots or trained on how to act in the event a riot broke out," the complaint said.

They were not specific about which company was to blame for giving children false hope, manage lice outbreaks or riot response.

Pearlstein and Reinhold said they voiced their concern to Chenega about children having no clean underwear.

"The problem persisted for weeks and months," they said. "Each time the answer was that the shipments had not come in."
We can only conclude, of course, that they're killing people.

Latest Data Show Efficacy Of Pfizer Vaccine Falls To 84% After 6 Months

WEDNESDAY, JUL 28, 2021 - 09:00 PM

As pressure builds for the FDA to simply 'get on with it' and issue full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna jabs, it looks like the people responsible for deciding whether vaccines are safe and effective are finally coming around to the reality that those vaccines aren't as effective against the delta strain as they had once hoped.

Despite months of insisting that the opposite was true, the FDA has found that the efficacy of the jabs has fallen to 84% over six months, according to new data released Wednesday. Conveniently, STAT News, which broke the story about the data, reported that the lower efficacy would likely bolster Pfizer's case for approval of a third dose.

Per the data, which has been released to outside scientists, the ongoing study, which enrolled more than 44K volunteers, found that the vaccine's efficacy appeared to decline by an average of 6% every two months after administration. Efficacy peaked at more than 96% within two months of vaccination and slipped to 84% after six months.

The overall efficacy against severe disease was a still considerable 97% (though that's still not 100%).

Unsurprisingly, STAT lined up a few talking heads to plug the numbers. Paul Offit, a pediatrician and vaccine expert at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told STAT that the results were "very reassuring." The potential need for booster shots is tied to the number of fully vaccinated people who develop severe disease, Offit said. That number is just 3% lower after six months, suggesting two doses of Pfizer’s vaccine offers adequate protection.

Earlier, Pfizer boosted its fiscal year revenue forecast for its vaccine business.

Perhaps these data offer some insight into that decision.

Of course, there's reason to believe that number might be even lower than the 97%.

Israel's Ministry of Health recently found that the Pfizer vaccine is only 39% effective at combating delta, down from 64% according to earlier Israeli data intended to measure the efficacy against the delta variant.

Pfizer is already shipping jabs to Israel, which is preparing to start doling out booster shots to residents deemed vulnerable to COVID. For whatever reason, the data released Wednesday doesn't directly address the delta variant.

CDC justified new mask guidance based on vaccine study listed as failing peer review

Journal changes status of submitted India study from "reject" to "revise" after CDC highlights it.

Updated: July 28, 2021 - 11:06pm

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cited an unpublished study from India to justify its recommendation Tuesday that fully vaccinated people "wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission" of COVID-19.

That study, which claimed the Delta variant produced an unusually large viral load in more than 100 vaccinated healthcare workers with "breakthrough infections," was listed as having failed peer review in the journal Nature when the CDC cited it.

Archives of the study's page on Research Square, a preprint server for unpublished research, show that it was marked "reject" on July 9 and remained so at least through the evening of July 26, Eastern Daylight Time.

That version was still live early Wednesday morning, the day after the CDC cited the study in its July 27 updated science brief, according to a Twitter user who posted a screenshot.

The "reject" status and review notes were removed by mid-morning and replaced with "posted," suggesting Nature had approved the paper without revisions, which drew controversy on Twitter. The notes were quickly restored and status changed to "revise," bearing the same date — July 9 — as the original "reject" status.

1627538801846.png
Research Square addressed the confusion twice around noon Wednesday, blaming "a bug" and "a user interface error on our end." It said the paper was still under review "and the current editorial decision is 'Revise.'"

The review notes disappeared again from the "peer review timeline" later in the afternoon, leaving only a "current status" classification of the paper as "under review." Research Square also posted a revised header clarifying that the paper was being considered by "a Nature Portfolio Journal," not necessarily the flagship journal, and that it partners with the publisher on "a journal-integrated preprint deposition service."

The representations of Research Square would mean the CDC cited deficient research to back its finding that "emerging data suggest [COVID vaccines have] lower effectiveness against confirmed infection and symptomatic disease" caused by the Delta variant, which is "now predominant in the United States."

CDC Director Rachelle Walensky said fully vaccinated people "have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated, making it possible for them to spread the virus to others," which is why all children should wear masks in schools, NBC News reported. The White House announced it would start requiring masks in its buildings Wednesday.

Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw was among those calling out the CDC for the quality of research informing its policy decisions. "The 'game changer' data the CDC used for the mask mandate is from a single study from India," he tweeted. "The study was rejected in peer review. But CDC used it anyway."

1627538645108.png1627538727790.png
Just the News contacted the CDC, Nature, Research Square and the study's authors to gain clarity on the chronology of the changes, the accuracy of the review notes, and the timing of any conversations among the U.S. agency, London-based publisher and researchers in the U.K. and India. None responded.

The research team submitted the paper to Nature June 18, and it was assigned an editor and distributed for peer review the same day, according to the original "peer review timeline" on Research Square.

The four reviewers turned in their assessments between June 20 and July 8. The day after the last came in, the editorial decision purportedly arrived from Nature: "Reject after peer review."

But the preprint study was already making waves before review was finished.

Science News reported July 2 that "antibodies from both recovered and vaccinated people were less potent at stopping delta from infecting cells than alpha or the original version of the virus from Wuhan, China." The Indian healthcare workers had been given an AstraZeneca vaccine, which was not approved for use in the U.S.

Lead author Ravindra Gupta, a virologist at the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology & Infectious Disease, told the publication that the Delta variant was not a serious threat to younger and healthier vaccinated people. But this strain is sending vaccinated people who are older and have underlying conditions to the hospital, and "we will see deaths."

Nature itself was more circumspect in a report Tuesday on the effect of vaccines on different COVID strains, claiming there was no "published data" on the Delta variant. It cited mid-July preprints from Israel and China but conspicuously left out the earlier India research.

"Studies from India with vaccines not authorized for use in the United States have noted relatively high viral loads and larger cluster sizes associated with infections with Delta, regardless of vaccination status," the CDC said in the "breakthrough infections" section of its updated science brief, citing Gupta's research.

CDC

"These early data suggest that breakthrough Delta infections are transmissible," which is consistent with unpublished data, the agency said. The brief specifies that it "synthesizes the scientific evidence supporting CDC's guidance for fully vaccinated people," which was updated the same day.

The CDC didn't stop at recommending masks in public indoor settings regardless of vaccination.

In light of the Delta variant, "fully vaccinated people might choose to wear a mask regardless of the level of transmission, particularly if they are immunocompromised or at increased risk for severe disease from COVID-19," or if anyone in their household is not vaccinated.

Even fully vaccinated people with a "known exposure to someone with suspected" COVID-19 should be tested within a few days of exposure and wear a mask indoors for two weeks or until they get a negative test result, the agency said.

Inventor of mRNA Vaccine: Some Covid Vaccines Make the Virus More Dangerous

By Larry Johnson
Published July 28, 2021 at 8:48pm
robert-malone.jpg

Dr. Robert Malone, M.D., M.S.,, a distinguished physician who discovered RNA transfection and invented mRNA vaccines, was on Steve Bannon’s War Room Weednesday with some alarming news–new data indicates that people who have taken the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are at greater risk of getting Covid than someone who is not vaccinated.

Before you watch the video, you need to understand the term–Antibody-Dependent Enhancement aka ADE:

Antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE), sometimes less precisely called immune enhancement or disease enhancement, is a phenomenon in which binding of a virus to suboptimal antibodies enhances its entry into host cells, followed by its replication.[1][2] ADE may cause enhanced respiratory disease and acute lung injury after respiratory virus infection (ERD) with symptoms of monocytic infiltration and an excess of eosinophils in respiratory tract.[3] ADE along with type 2 T helper cell-dependent mechanisms may contribute to a development of the vaccine associated disease enhancement (VADE), which is not limited to respiratory disease.

According NBC reporting (I can’t believe I’m citing that outfit as a reliable source):

New data suggests that fully vaccinated individuals are not just contracting COVID, but could be carrying higher levels of virus than previously understood, facilitating spread, my NBC News colleagues are reporting. New indoor masking guidance expected today.

Dr. Malone has warned of this risk for several months. What are we to do?

Malone says that instead of relying on the flawed vaccines, Doctors should use drugs for treating Covid that have proved effective, such as Ivermectin (more about that following the video), is neutralizing Covid:

Rumble video on website 10:07 min

What should scare the hell out of you is the extraordinary efforts being taken to silence and discredit Dr. Malone. I encourage you to read Michael Haynes piece from July 5, which details Malone’s Kafkaesque ordeal. Here are some relevant paragraphs from his article:
Information about the inventor of the mRNA technology used in certain COVID-19 vaccines was removed from the online encyclopedia site Wikipedia after he publicly warned against giving the experimental gene therapy vaccines to young people and that there was insufficient information about the injections to give informed consent. . . .

On June 10, 2021, Dr. Malone joined biologist Bret Weinstein, Ph.D, on the Dark Horse Podcast, where Malone raised numerous safety concerns about the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, both of which use mRNA technology. He warned about future autoimmune issues caused by the spike proteins within the mRNA injections.

Malone also stated that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was aware that the spike proteins were “biologically active and could travel from the injection site and cause adverse events, and that the spike protein, if biologically active, is very dangerous.”

YouTube swiftly moved to censor clips from the three-hour podcast interview.
This is the kind of authoritarian censorship carried out by Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Pol Pot. When the media and the Government conspire to quash dissenting opinions and legitimate, provable facts, we have crossed the threshold of fascism.

The same effort to discredit Dr. Malone also has been unleashed against non-vaccine treatment methods. Remember what happened to anyone who dared suggest using Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin?

And do you remember the news stories in May about how Covid was devastating India? I bet you have heard little about the efficacy of Ivermectin in stopping Covid in Dehli.

Ivermectin obliterates 97 percent of Delhi cases

Dr. Pierre Kory told the world on December 8, 2020, that Ivermectin “obliterates” this virus. Obliterate means to decimate, demolish, or annihilate. It means to eliminate or destroy all trace, indication, or significance.

This graph shows that Ivermectin, used in Delhi beginning April 20, obliterated their COVID crisis. No one should be able to talk you out of this – not a salesman, a drug company, a television celebrity doc, and certainly not the top doctor for the WHO or the NIH who is paid to do that.
It is your duty as an American to challenge and question everything the Government represents as true. We now have concrete evidence that Dr. Anthony Fauci has taken diametrically opposed positions without blinking an eye. Some call that “lying.” The same with the CDC (as I pointed out in my last article). Perhaps the CDC should be renamed the Center for Disinformation & Confusion in light of the contradictory guidance issued regarding masks and vaccines.

Unfortunately, the chaos of Biden’s Covid policy reflects the dysfunction and incompetence evident in the rest of his Administration. Keep praying and continue to resist.

2,000 new COVID cases in Israel for second straight day
Health Ministry 93 out of 153 severely ill patients have been fully vaccinated; ministry's pandemic panel set to hold a meeting later to mull whether to issue comprehensive recommendation for third vaccine shot for all public

Ynet | Published: 07.28.21, 10:04

Israel on Wednesday reported over 2,000 new daily COVID cases diagnosed a day earlier, for the second day in a row.

The Health Ministry said 2,260 people tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. The ministry added that after more than 95,000 tests had been conducted, the infection rate now stands at 2.4%.

The ministry said at least 212 of those diagnosed on Tuesday recently arrived from abroad. At least 62 of them arrived from Turkey, 51 from Greece, 18 from the United States, 18 from Georgia, six from Russia and five from Bulgaria.

At least 153 patients are in serious condition, of whom 28 are ventilated.

According to the Health Ministry's analysis, 102 of the severely ill patients are aged 65 and over, 76 of whom are fully vaccinated. At least 39 of severely ill are between the age of 40 and 65, while 16 of them are fully vaccinated. Six of severely ill are below the age of 40 but only one of them is fully vaccinated.

In the meantime, the Health Ministry's special team on pandemic is set to hold a meeting later on Tuesday to discuss possible recommendation for a third vaccine shot.

Health officials believe the team will advise the Health Ministry to recommend a third vaccine for the general public. If the recommendation is issued, the ministry is expected to adopt the decision so the vaccination campaign can begin next week.

Israel has already began administering a third booster shot to people with compromised immune system and those over the elderly.

Iceland: Vaccines do not work
Iceland has been a vaccine paradise: Some 90 percent of people between the ages of 40-70 and 98 percent of those over 70 are fully vaccinated. On June 26, it abolished all lockdown rules. "Thank you for this joint struggle," the Health Minister told citizens. Now the country could be heading for new lockdown restrictions for the next five, ten or fifteen years.

Published: July 28, 2021, 11:42 am

Iceland is setting daily records for new infections, mostly among the vaccinated. Epidemiologist Þórólfur Guðnason announced the bad news that restrictions would persist for perhaps decades because vaccines do not work.

Asked if there was no clear path out of the epidemic, now that measures are being proposed despite vaccinations, Guðnason said the virus was “unpredictable and something new comes up that changes what you thought a few months ago”.

He also said that the protection of vaccines against infection was “lower” than previously thought.

He said that the new lockdown measures he proposed should take effect as soon as possible. “I believe that if people decide on certain actions, then there is nothing left to wait for. Then I think people should make it take effect as soon as possible.”

At the information meeting is was highlighted that those who were vaccinated with Janssen would receive another vaccination product. The Pfizer vaccine would be used as there was a sufficient amount of it in the country.

“I think it’s safe to say that most of the results suggest that these vaccines are all so fundamentally similar, even though there is only a difference between studies, and the effectiveness against people getting infected is maybe around 60 percent. This means that 40 percent can still be infected.

“The activity against serious illness is maybe about 90 percent, but this only varies and there is also new information coming from Israel that the activity is probably somewhat less than this.”

Data from Israel now show that people are seven times as likely to be infected after being vaccinated than if they have already recovered.

‘Vast majority’ of Covid-19 cluster in Cape Cod were vaccinated
In Cape Cod, a geographic cape extending into the Atlantic Ocean in Massachusetts, the vaccinated are falling ill with Covid-19. The American town with one of the highest vaccination rates in the state, now has the highest rate of new cases.

Published: July 22, 2021, 9:39 am

An official told ABC News on Monday that the “vast majority” of the 132 Covid-19 cases were among vaccinated individuals.

At least 33 people in a nursing home in Yarmouth on Cape Cod have tested positive for SARS-Cov-2. Most of the residents that tested positive were vaccinated, reported the Boston Globe. Health authorities “working closely with the CDC” tried to minimize the outbreak while local outlets like the Cape Cod Times blamed unvaccinated people.

According to the Boston Globe, “at least 35 Covid-19 cases in Boston residents have been traced back to Provincetown” and the newspaper reported that the overwhelming majority of those had been fully vaccinated. A fully vaccinated Boston resident who had fallen ill while in Provincetown recently, told the Globe: “For two days, I was the sickest I’ve ever been in my life.” The same resident nevertheless hailed the initiation of vaccine passports.

ABC News meanwhile downplayed the outbreak on Cape Cod among the fully vaccinated, but another individual who had fallen ill, admitted that “it’s definitely not what I expected being fully vaccinated”.

Dr. Janet Whelan, a member of the Provincetown Board of Health, confirmed that the vaccinated could be spreading the Coronavirus: “The most interesting thing to me about this cluster of cases is so many of the people infected were vaccinated, which sort of means that a lot of the people that are vaccinated who are exposed to it may feel safe, but may also transmit it to others.” ABC News however dismissed the spread as being “not a major concern”.

Officials in Cape Cod’s Provincetown has issued a new mask rule for all the unvaccinated, including children under the age of 12. Unvaccinated people will be required to wear masks both outdoors in crowded areas as well as in all public indoor spaces, despite the fact that vaccinated people make up most of the active cases in the town.

Provincetown authorities are also demanding that large venues require entrants to show proof of their vaccination status.

The President of the United States has meanwhile been telling Americans that the vaccines offer complete protection against Covid-19.

The vaccines DO work. They reduce the effectiveness of the jabbed person's immune system to the extent that they get diseased and get sick.

The inoculations work well for the controllers and drug companies.

The American Postal Workers Union (APWU), which represents more than 200,000 United States Postal Service employees and retirees and nearly 2,000 private-sector mail workers, on Wednesday expressed concern over the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate for federal workers.

The APWU said in a statement:
Various media outlets have reported that the White House is considering mandatory COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] vaccination as a condition of employment for federal employees.

Maintaining the health and safety of our members is of paramount importance. While the APWU leadership continues to encourage postal workers to voluntarily get vaccinated, it is not the role of the federal government to mandate vaccinations for the employees we represent.

Issues related to vaccinations and testing for COVID-19 in the workplace must be negotiated with the APWU. At this time the APWU opposes the mandating of COVID-19 vaccinations in relation to U.S. postal workers.
APWU maintains its headquarters in Washington, D.C., where the mayor just issued an indoor mask mandate.

Some labor unions in New York are also bristling at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) plans to mandate vaccines or regular testing for all state workers, according to reports.

Public Employees Federation President Wayne Spencer issued a statement saying any vaccine mandate must be bargained between labor and management, who represent professional, scientific, and technical state employees, according to Syracuse.com.

New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association President Michael Powers called the vaccine requirement a “drastic measure,” according to the Times Union.

“It’s time that we stop making these decisions in a vacuum and start including stakeholders,” he said.

President of the Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers Thomas Mungeer said he was “caught off guard” by Cuomo’s announcement and that the union is exploring its legal options, according to the Buffalo News.

Rep. Greg Murphy: ‘Very Concerning’ for CDC to Float Vaccine Database

WASHINGTON, DC - MAY 11: Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director, gives her opening statement during a Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing to discuss the ongoing federal response to COVID-19 on May 11, 2021 in Washington, DC. Consideration of a database of vaccinated Americans by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is “very concerning,” Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) said on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

In a Wednesday segment with CNN, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky’s floated such a registry. She expressed consideration of an index of Americans who had received a COVID-19 vaccine.

Walensky said:
I think if we see more and more people who are vaccinated, our children are vaccinated, we have full vaccination in schools, we have full vaccination in teachers, all of those are documented, we have disease rates that are low, I think then we can start thinking about what — how we can loosen up and not seeing clusters and outbreaks in these school systems. The thing that’s most important to me through all of this is that our kids get back in school full-time in-person learning. And we’re not there yet. We’re far from there. And I want our children to be safe.
Murphy said Walensky’s consideration of governmental documentation of vaccinated Americans is worrisome. The CDC’s “inconsistent messaging” undermines public trust in the bureaucracy, he added.

Murphy remarked, “I don’t have the greatest respect for [Walensky] because of some of the waffling back and forth with these decisions not based upon science, only based upon political progressiveness, as it were. That’s a very concerning term.”

“In other words, we want you documented, we want to be able to control you, we want to be able to do this and move on,” he added.

Walensky’s statements are built on partisan political calculations, Murphy held.

He stated, “For [Walensky] to say this, and then she’ll go back and she’ll just check the temperature and check with Biden, check with Obama, check with Kamala, [to] see what messaging they want to get out, and then she’ll be the mouthpiece for it. It’s just it’s very, very concerning. … One day, it’s one thing, one day, it’s the next thing, trying to prolong this.”

Murphy said he was unsure of vaccinating children under 18.

He remarked, “I’m not a hundred percent sure that — and I venture back and forth with myself about this — on getting kids under age 18 vaccinated, because that’s an exceedingly low-risk population, and maybe for the kids who are immunosuppressed or some other things.”

Murphy warned “long-term side effects” of vaccines in children are still unknown.
Murphy is a physician specializing in urology and is a registered surgeon with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

White House Warns More Lockdowns Are Coming
Today, the White House declared they are open to pushing universal Covid-19 lockdowns if the CDC recommends it. Which they will.

White House Warns More Lockdowns Are Coming

“The lockdowns are coming, the lockdowns are coming!”

1627599797035.png

Today, the White House signaled they would consider a new round of lockdowns over the spike in Covid-19 infections across the country. Vaccinated and unvaccinated alike are testing positive for Covid-19 more than they were just a month ago. Now, the White House changed tune and said they would listen to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) if they recommend locking down the nation again.

Spoiler alert: They will.

At a press conference today, Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had an opportunity to back Joe Biden’s previous promise of no more lockdowns. Instead of reassuring a troubled nation, she gave us more reasons for concern.

“President Biden says that we are not returning to lockdowns, shutdowns, and school closures, but he also once said that we didn’t have to wear masks anymore once we were vaccinated,” Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy said. “So why should Americans trust him that?”

Doocy was referring to the renewed face mask guidance from the CDC that Biden had said in the past would not happen again. It did, and he embraced it.
“Well, because we listen to the scientists, we listened to the expert,” Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre replied. “This is a public health situation. This is not about politics at all. This is about saving lives. And this is what the President is all about. He wants to make sure that we are saving lives. If you look at … the last six months. That’s what he’s done, every day. And you see that in the numbers. Now we’re at a point where we have to double down and make it very, very clear to people that we can’t, we can’t let the pandemic win, we have to continue to fight.”

“So, if you’re listening to the scientists, if scientists come to you at some point down the line and say it is our opinion that there should be shutdowns and there should be school closures, you would do that?” Doocy pressed.

“Well, we listen to, like I said, we listen to the CDC and the expert and their guidance…are, you know, the CDC is a body that is very well respected,” Jean-Pierre responded. “And again, we follow their guidance.”

While most were upset by the CDC’s guidance change that pushed face masks onto everyone, vaccinated or not, there was another little tidbit of draconian guidance that went mostly unnoticed. They are recommending testing for anyone, vaccinated or not, who has come in contact with someone suspected of having Covid-19. Considering that could be anyone, the CDC is essentially recommending anyone who goes out in public should get tested over and over again. As I noted at The Liberty Daily, they’re admitting the vaccines do not work.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is caught between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the guidance they issue regarding Covid-19. On one hand, they need to get the word out about the latest dizzying spin to their “scientific” protocols. On the other hand, they have to explain why their guidance is in such a state of chaos, changing just as quickly today as it did when very little was known about the “novel coronavirus” early last year.

This week, they made changes to their guidance, and one item in particular got a lot of attention. But there was an even bigger admission by the CDC that went largely unnoticed. While most were busy complaining about the new face mask guidelines for everyone, vaccinated or not, there was little discussion about the item just below that particular guidance that essentially admits the “vaccines” don’t really do what we’ve been told they would do for the past eight months.

1627599901644.png

“Added a recommendation for fully vaccinated people who have a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 to be tested 3-5 days after exposure, and to wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until they receive a negative test result.” – CDC Guidance Additions

The whole idea of a “vaccine” is to prevent infections from viruses. Until the definitions were changed to accommodate the Covid injections’ lack of efficacy, it was always assumed if you get vaccinated, you’re protected against that disease. Why, then, does the CDC recommend vaccinated individuals get tested if they’ve come in contact with someone suspected of having Covid-19? Why aren’t more doctors speaking up about what they know to be true regarding these “vaccines”?

Will Americans willingly enter into another lockdown just like the “15 days to slow the spread” that didn’t work last year? Hopefully, there will be much more pushback this time than there was back then.

Joe Biden on Thursday delivered remarks on his administration’s Covid-19 vaccination efforts.

Biden was asked about vaccine mandates in the private sector.

Joe Biden said he supports vaccine mandates in the private sector then said he isn’t sure if the government can implement mandates on a federal level.

“I would like to see them continue to move in that direction… it’s still a question whether the Federal government can mandate the whole country. I don’t know that yet,” Biden said.

Interim Operational Considerations for Implementing the Shielding Approach to Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings
Updated July 26, 2020

This document presents considerations from the perspective of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for implementing the shielding approach in humanitarian settings as outlined in guidance documents focused on camps, displaced populations and low-resource settings. This approach has never been documented and has raised questions and concerns among humanitarian partners who support response activities in these settings. The purpose of this document is to highlight potential implementation challenges of the shielding approach from CDC’s perspective and guide thinking around implementation in the absence of empirical data. Considerations are based on current evidence known about the transmission and severity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and may need to be revised as more information becomes available. Please check the CDC website periodically for updates.

What is the Shielding Approach?

The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting. They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents.

Current evidence indicates that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. In most humanitarian settings, older population groups make up a small percentage of the total population. For this reason, the shielding approach suggests physically separating high-risk individuals from the general population to prioritize the use of the limited available resources and avoid implementing long-term containment measures among the general population.

In theory, shielding may serve its objective to protect high-risk populations from disease and death. However, implementation of the approach necessitates strict adherence, to protocol. Inadvertent introduction of the virus into a green zone may result in rapid transmission among the most vulnerable populations the approach is trying to protect.

A summary of the shielding approach described by Favas is shown in Table 1. See Guidance for the prevention of COVID-19 infections among high-risk individuals in low-resource, displaced and camp and camp-like settings for full details.

Table 1: Summary of the Shielding Approach

Household (HH) Level:

A specific room/area designated for high-risk individuals who are physically isolated from other HH members.
Movement/Interactions
Low-risk HH members should not enter the green zone. If entry is necessary, it should be done only by healthy individuals after washing hands and using face coverings. Interactions should be at a safe distance (approx. 2 meters). Minimum movement of high-risk individuals outside the green zone. Low-risk HH members continue to follow social distancing and hygiene practices outside the house.

Neighborhood Level:
A designated shelter/group of shelters (max 5-10 households), within a small camp or area where high-risk members are grouped together. Neighbors “swap” households to accommodate high-risk individuals.
Movement/Interactions
Same as above

Camp/Sector Level:
A group of shelters such as schools, community buildings within a camp/sector (max 50 high-risk individuals per single green zone) where high-risk individuals are physically isolated together.
Movement/Interactions
One entry point is used for exchange of food, supplies, etc. A meeting area is used for residents and visitors to interact while practicing physical distancing (2 meters). No movement into or outside the green zone.

Ooooh, okay. Let’s do some math here, folks. There are approximately 600,000 students in the district. And another 75,000 staff and faculty. Just for funsies, let’s round the full number up to 700,000. There are approximately 40 weeks in a school year. That’s 28 million tests. Let’s just say hypothetically a test costs $10. (It could be $100… who knows? But we’ll be conservative here, no pun intended.)

Thats $280 million that some company is going to be paid for testing just ONE school district in our country this year. How many other school districts will follow suit?? Someone is getting very, VERY rich off of this Delta scare.

And I can’t help but to wonder, how much of a kickback might LAUSD be getting out of this little transaction?

How anyone is believing this B.S. is for the good of the community is mine-boggling to me.

Vaccines are failing? That’s NO surprise to anyone with some basic virology. Every vax we have hits only ONE target of the virus.
This ain’t smallpox, a double-stranded DNA virus, very stable, the SAME vaccine that worked in 1901 worked in 1976.

Coronavirus, like HIV, is a highly mutable single-strand RNA virus. By only hitting ONE target (spike protein), we created the perfect recipe for three-point mutations to escape immunity completely.
Once that happens, vaxxed become mutant virus factories!

What’d we learn with HIV?
One drug fails quickly.
Two drugs fail eventually.
Three drugs control it without mutation or viral escape.

FDA knew, Fauci knew, rolling out these vaxxes was a Hail Mary stopgap measure bound to fail...and breed even more dangerous resistant mutations.

In six months max current vaccines will be worthless.
They have little time to find another.

We should have let it spread wild if all we could do was a single-target vaccine.
Should have waited for a multivalent vaccine attacking three different targets.
And of all people...Fauci knew THIS to be true.

Now we made it worse.
Dammit.

Dr. Gottlieb Explains Why US COVID Hot Spots May Have Reached Point Where Delta Surge Reversed

THURSDAY, JUL 29, 2021 - 07:20 PM

A few days ago, we shared some analysis from Goldman Sachs and other investment banks projecting that the surge across the US in newly diagnosed COVID cases attributed to the delta variant would soon fade, just as outbreaks in the UK, Continental Europe and India all have. They've been closely monitoring the situation because it's now a key factor in their economic growth projections, and most expect delta will have a mild impact in heavily vaccinated Europe.

Now, Bloomberg has apparently caught on.
While hospitalizations and deaths are clearly higher in areas where vaccination rates are lower, rates are still well below their levels from just a few months ago. And although Dr. Anthony Fauci would have you believe that Delta might cause the end of the world as we know it, his isn't the only view on the matter. Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former director of the FDA, believes delta will peak within the next two to three weeks.

And after breaking the data down to the regional level, Bloomberg has apparently spotted some trends that suggest as Delta's global conquest has been characterized by "hyperspeed spikes in infections that eased dramatically after about two months."

The first US outbreaks that caught officials' eye were in Missouri and Arkansas, and they both started in earnest around the end of May, per BBG.

They noted that the rest of the country will be keeping a close eye on both states (along with a handful of others, including California).
The rest of the US will be watching those states closely as infections spread. The cases are prompting authorities to reconsider masking and other public-health measures, but many state and local governments are doing so gingerly and only after outbreaks are well underway. In Florida’s Miami-Dade County, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said Wednesday that she would require masks again at indoor county facilities such as libraries.
Bloomberg also cited the following tweet from Dr. Gottlieb where he explained how Rt, a virus's effective reproductive number, plays into forecasts of the virus's spread. The logic behind it is pretty simple: If Rt falls below 1, then the virus's spread should start to slow.

Gottlieb cited data from covidestim, a project with contributors from Yale School of Public Health, Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Stanford Medicine, showing the Rt rate in the worst hit states is already trending toward 1.

When the numbers did this in the UK, seen as being just a few weeks ahead of the US, cases quickly started falling off.
