Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) announced on Thursday those who identify as black, indigenous, or a “person of color” can now sign up to receive the coronavirus vaccine. Eligibility for all adults is not expected to open up until later this month.
“If you or anyone in your household identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color (BIPOC), including anyone with Abenaki or other First Nations heritage, all household members who are 16 years or older can sign up to get a vaccine!” the governor announced, providing a link to the state’s website:

1617400592733.png
Only certain categories of people are now eligible to sign up to receive the coronavirus vaccine in the Green Mountain State. That includes those 50 and older, people 16 and older who have “high risk” health conditions, parents or primary caregivers of those with “high risk” health conditions, school staff, and child care workers, public safety workers, health care personnel, nursing home residents, “English language learners and people in immigrant/refugee communities,” and now “Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC),” per the state.

It remains unclear how the state is implementing the rule, as anyone could, technically, “identify” as whatever race they choose.

His announcement drew significant backlash on social media.

“I have a dream that our children will one day live in a nation where they will receive medical treatment according to the color of their skin, providing the governor has already had his,” one user said.

Some Twitter users quoted the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Others commented directly on the legality of the Governor’s statement:

The state is expected to open eligibility to the remainder of the population by April 19.

“Our data also shows us that we have much farther to go with progress through our vaccination efforts,” Vermont’s state health commissioner Mark Levine said this week.

“We get closer to the finish line every day,” he added. “It’s now less than three weeks until all Vermonters are eligible to sign up for their dose of vaccine.”

According to the state’s coronavirus dashboard, 213,656 people in Vermont have received at least one dose of the vaccine, as of April 2.

Conservative White Evangelicals are the Problem for “Vaccine Resistance” according to Journalism Group

By Ben Wetmore
Published April 2, 2021 at 5:19pm
poynter_vaccine-resistance.jpg

Today in a Zoom meeting with journalists from across the country, mainstream journalists were coaching other journalists how to fight “misinformation” around vaccines, specifically noting that conservative white evangelicals were the main problem demographic for what was styled “vaccine resistance.”

“The two subgroups that come up the most who do not want to be vaccinated are Republicans and white Evangelical Christians, along with those in rural areas, which there is some overlap there,” Jennifer Kates, HIV Policy Director at the Kaiser Family Foundation, said in a forum led by the Poynter Institute called “Vaccine Hesitancy: What Journalists Need to Know.”

Joie Chen, former CNN anchor, Al Jazeera and CBS correspondent led the group, which primarily heard from Kates with the Democrat-controlled Kaiser Family Foundation and also Houston journalist Chauncy Glover who was brought in primarily for the benefit of asking how to appeal to African American vaccine resisters.

The seminar revealed that Kates’ employer, the Kaiser Foundation, recently hired comedian Kamau Bell, while wearing a sweater that says “Powerful Black Voter”, to appeal to African Americans.
“Hello Black America! There’s good news out there, there’s a COVID19 vaccine! Yay! But the bad news is that as black folks, it’s hard to trust what’s going on,” Bell says in the video, which appears to be funded by Kaiser as a commercial intended for black audiences. “What do we do? We turn to people we can trust: black doctors and black nurses!”
Chen mentioned that “familiar and trustworthy voices” were necessary to break down resistance among certain communities.

Chen asked the audience, who were primarily journalists, why they were reluctant to get the vaccine. The majority said that ‘possible side effects’ were the primary reason for reluctance to get vaccinated. Kates said that the same group among the public were refusing to get the vaccine but were also most interested in ‘getting more information’ about the vaccine and more information would ultimately break down their resistance.

Jackie Schlegel, Executive Director of Texans for Vaccine Choice, disagrees:
“The assertion that “conservative white evangelicals” are the driving force behind “vaccine misinformation” is nothing more than the next play from the divide-and-conquer playbook that has been used against vaccine injured families and the vaccine safety awareness movement for decades now. Rather than acknowledge legitimate concerns and have open honest conversations about the safety and efficacy of any vaccine, they seek to instead marginalize dissenting voices in an attempt to silence them.”
Glover spoke about the ‘trauma’ and ‘distrust’ among minority populations for public health issues due to a variety of factors including whether there were enough minorities in health trials, the suspicious name of the vaccine program, and general distrust of the government as well as a concern about possible long-term side effects. Renewing that trust, Glover said, required addressing those issues with trust and education with timely and accurate information.

Texans for Vaccine Choice’s Jackie Schlegel would like to be a part of the conversation in providing that timely and accurate information: “Safety issues associated with the use of pharmaceutical products – including vaccines – do not discriminate based on race or religion. Diluting the issue in this way is proving detrimental to the cause of increasing confidence in the vaccine program as more and more people of all demographics see the suppression of effective treatments, the ill-effects of pushing this rushed-to-market pharmaceutical product, and the heavy handed threats of social and economical consequences for non-compliance rather than a willingness by health authorities to acknowledge and address the glaring scientific and moral problems associated with the implementation of the COVID vaccine program.”

Glover said that all sides to the story need to be told, whereas the moderator, Chen, said that objections to vaccines were “stunning” to her, including any claim that microchips might be used to deliver vaccines to patients, and were, therefore, unworthy of inclusion in journalism on the topic.

“Should we be reporting that?” Chen asked about people with dissident views on COVID and the COVID vaccines. “Or does reporting it amplify those sorts of things?”

The Creepy COVID Passport Initiative Now Has Competition

We’ve all heard about the COVID passport idea that the Biden White House endorses and will allow Big Tech to develop, right? You will not be permitted to return to any aspect of normal life…unless you show your papers. Sounds like the Soviet Union…because that’s what they had, an internal passport system. The civil liberties part of this debate is just the top layer. The security of this whole system should be called into question too. It will track who got vaccinated, so a lot of sensitive information will be stored by the government which means hackers will never ever target that, right? Are we all on crack? Forgeries will be made. And with the federal government quarterbacking this, it’s bound to be a cluster.

COVID passports aren’t the only creepy COVID tracking system in development. Here’s one that businesses can use, which comes with a Chinese twist (via Washington Free Beacon):
President Joe Biden's COVID team appears to have entertained an electronic test-and-trace program pioneered by the University of Illinois that would have let businesses deny service to patrons based on their health data, a PowerPoint presentation obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows. The program has eerie echoes of China's surveillance system, which uses data from citizens' phones to impose quarantines.
A PowerPoint produced by the school suggests scaling up the university's intrusive contact tracing system for use across the United States. Its file name, "2020-12-14 Shield Biden Covid Team," indicates that it was presented to the Biden team in December, amid an ongoing search for solutions to a seemingly insoluble problem: how to stop the virus without stopping the economy? The presentation proffered an answer.
The school's system uses a mobile app that records test results and Bluetooth data to determine who has been exposed to the virus—and "links building access" on campus to that information. Local businesses have also embraced it, making entry conditional on a "safe status" reading from the app.
The system resembles the one being used in China, where a mandatory app gives each user a "health status"—green, yellow, or red—that dictates access to public spaces. The University of Illinois app likewise divides users into three categories: "yellow" if they've recently tested negative, "orange" if they've potentially been exposed, and "red" if they've recently tested positive. Only students with a yellow status may enter buildings.
1617408063983.png
I mean when China has given the Biden family millions of dollars, are we shocked about these types of developments? Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but the more pressing issue here is how a virus with a 90+ percent survival rate is being weaponized to chip away at our liberties. With Biden as president, some form of tracking and data collection system that should send shivers down our spine will be developed. Keep your eyes open.

FBI Promises To Hunt Down Anyone Who Lies About Taking COVID Vax As Vaccine Passports Loom

The FBI wants Americans to know that it is a crime to misrepresent your status as vaccine passports are rolled out.

FBI Promises To Hunt Down Anyone Who Lies About Taking COVID Vax As Vaccine Passports Loom

After it was confirmed that the Biden regime is working with major corporations to develop a country-wide vaccine passport, and after New York began the rollout of its own vaccine passport system, the FBI is warning people against fake vaccine passports or COVID-19 vaccination cards.

“We’ve all seen friends posting their #COVID19 vaccination cards on social media,” wrote the Minneapolis branch of the FBI on social medial. “If you make or buy a fake one to misrepresent your vaccination status, you endanger other people and may also be breaking the law.”

The FBI linked to a press release from the Internet Crime Complaint Center, which reveals that federal law enforcement, including the FBI, is “advising the public to be aware of individuals selling fake COVID-19 vaccination record cards and encouraging others to print fake cards at home” and notes that “Fake vaccination record cards have been advertised on social media websites, as well as e-commerce platforms and blogs.”

“If you did not receive the vaccine, do not buy fake vaccine cards, do not make your own vaccine cards, and do not fill-in blank vaccination record cards with false information,” the press release explains, “By misrepresenting yourself as vaccinated when entering schools, mass transit, workplaces, gyms, or places of worship, you put yourself and others around you at risk of contracting COVID-19.”

“Additionally, the unauthorized use of an official government agency’s seal (such as HHS or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) is a crime, and may be punishable under Title 18 United States Code, Section 1017, and other applicable laws.”

As National File reported, the Biden administration is working with major corporations to develop a vaccine passport system that would require Americans to take one of the controversial vaccines and receive a vaccine passport to engage in commerce. According to establishment newspaper The Washington Post, Biden’s plan is for the vaccine passport to be pushed entirely through large corporations – essentially barring those who refuse the vaccine from engaging in commerce – without any direct federal involvement.

Yesterday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order banning vaccine passports in the state, and revealed that he is working with the Florida legislature to permanently ban them within the state.

AstraZeneca Changes Its COVID-19 Vaccine Name From CoviShield To Vaxzevria Due To Blood Clots Controversy

Great Game India
AstraZeneca has rebranded and changed the name of its COVID-19 vaccine from CoviShield to Vaxzevria. The move is because the company is struggling to convince people that the vaccine is safe amidst the controversy that AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is causing blood clots.

AstraZeneca has been struggling a lot to assure the public that its vaccine is safe. The name change doesn’t involve any alteration to the actual drug.

The firm said, its packaging and labelling may look different but medical workers should be aware of rebranding.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) signed off on the new name after the company sought approval from the EU regulator for the change.

Covishield Covid-19 vaccine will retain its current branding.

Covishield Covid-19 vaccine is based on same formula and made in collaboration with the Serum in institute of India.
The European Union had called for an Emergency Vaccine Summit after more than 8 European nations decided to stop using the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine due to serious blood clot incidents reported in many countries.

This suspension is temporary. Pharma firm and EU health officials maintained that jab is safe and not associated with adverse effects or medical episodes leading to deaths.

However, the list of countries limiting the AstraZeneca vaccine is growing.
Canada also placed restrictions on use of AstraZeneca on Monday and said this jab will not be administered to people younger than 55.

Meanwhile, American Federal health officials accused AstraZeneca of including “outdated information” and providing misleading data in touting the effectiveness of its COVID-19 vaccine in a U.S. study.

This also hit AstraZeneca badly.

The company said, it was working to verify and update findings of the trial. AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine has not been approved for emergency use in US yet.

European countries seem to be sceptical of AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine despite reassurance from governments and medical bodies.

Recently, Germany has reported 31 cases of blood clots in the brain from AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

The cases are associated with CSVT or sinus vein thrombosis as per the German regulator and 19 out of 31 cases are linked to thrombocytopenia or blood platelet deficiency.

Only 32% Germans and a merely 23% French people think that vaccine is safe as per a poll released on Monday by YouGov.
As reported by GreatGameIndia, the Chief Norwegian Investigator and Physician Pal Andre Holme who examined the three hospitalized health workers confirmed that it was indeed the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine which caused the rare blood clots due to unexpected immune reaction.

The Big Lie: How COVID-19 became a disinformation operation wrapped in a virus
The CCP pulled off the greatest deception in modern history.

At the turn of 2020, the novel coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China rapidly took its place atop the global information stage, and it wasn’t because people suddenly became interested in respiratory diseases. Supercharging this process was the breathtaking, horrifying photos and videos coming out of Wuhan. What we were seeing through the lens of social media appeared to be an Ebola-like plague, something so horrifying that it seemed to belong in a Hollywood script. Ultra viral videos and photos often showed citizens in business attire, out and about, seemingly going about their day, when suddenly, they were captured on film dropping like flies. It was “like Walking Dead” in the way that the virus supposedly struck its victims, suddenly and without remorse.

One particular photo, which The Guardian described as the image that “captures the Wuhan coronavirus crisis,” took the world by storm.

A man lies dead in the street: the image that captures the Wuhan coronavirus crisis‘These days, many have died,’ says bystander as image shows workers in protective suits and masks taking body awaytheguardian.com

January 31st 2020

From The Guardian:

“It is an image that captures the chilling reality of the coronavirus outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan: a grey-haired man wearing a face mask lies dead on the pavement, a plastic shopping bag in one hand, as police and medical staff in full protective suits and masks prepare to take him away.”

Notably, the AFP photographer who snapped the infamous photo “could not determine how the man, who appeared to be aged in his 60s, had died,” according to the report.

The photo of the well-dressed man, who appeared to be going about his standard business when he suddenly dropped dead in the streets, was just one of the many images and videos coming out of China presenting the narrative of a virus so deadly it would strike down its victims without warning.

Newspapers from around the world ate up the “dead in streets” and “zombieland” narrative.

Photos and videos of people collapsing in the streets continued to emerge via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. What do these sites have in common? Well, they are blocked or remain virtually unused in China.

Shortly thereafter, Chinese authorities
announced a sweeping lockdown in an attempt to “stop the virus.” A few months later, Beijing announced that it had successfully stopped the virus dead in its tracks, but only through brutal suppression measures taken to “stop the spread.” The message from the Chinese Communist Party was crystal-clear: countries around the world must lock down immediately, and indefinitely, in an attempt to stop this supposedly deadly plague from infecting your nation’s population. The scare tactic worked. In a state of total panic, the overwhelming majority of the world followed the CCP’s “advice” on handling the virus, which I documented in my piece, “the origin story of COVID-19 lockdowns.”

1/5 This @nytimes article by @paulmozur is a smoking gun on the genesis of the coronavirus lockdowns. According to the article, the CCP launched a massive social media campaign in ITALY to advertise its coronavirus lockdown measures in early March.

June 11th 2020

Now back to the “zombieland” phenomenon.

On top of the fact that the “zombieland” situation was not seen in any other country, the idea that someone infected with COVID-19 could be walking around one moment, seemingly perfectly fine with no symptoms, and then suddenly, without notice, collapse to the ground, is not supported by any of the data on the virus. Looking back to January, none of the “walking dead” stuff that came out Wuhan seems to make any sense. Even the most vulnerable individuals still present gradually declining symptoms, which worsen over time, before their passing. We have now had over a year to study the process of COVID-19 progression. The images that came out of Wuhan are not at all representative of how the novel coronavirus impacts infected human beings.

The “Wuhan Zombieland” stories don’t make any sense, and they are not supported by any evidence related to the COVID-19 pandemic. To this day, we still don’t know the source for many, if not all of the chaotic images and videos (which, again somehow originated and arrived on U.S. social media platforms even though they are banned in China) that appeared on giant media platforms.

It has been well over a year since the reported outbreak in Wuhan, and that “outbreak” has never represented itself in a similar manner in anywhere else in the world. There is only one reasonable explanation for this – we got hoaxed by the Chinese government, and its disinformation operation continues to this day.

COVID-19 should be understood as a classic Soviet-style disinformation operation. In employing previous disinformation campaigns, the Chinese Communist Party has long reflected the Soviet playbook to perform its own deceptive practices.

This graphic from The New York Times accurately summarizes the key ingredients within the Soviet-style playbook that makes for a successful disinformation campaign:

If you break down the tactics of the COVID-19 disinformation operation, it’s easy to fill in the gaps and show how this style applies to the CCP’s COVID-19 operation.

1) The “cracks” in our society and politics are plentiful, and the West continues to abandon independent thought for total obedience to a corrupt ruling class.

2) The “Big Lie” is the idea that COVID-19 is a very lethal threat and that there must be dramatic measures, in the form of societal self-destruction that is initiated to “stop the spread.” The data in well over 100 countries proves otherwise.

3) The Big Lie is easier to pull off if it involves a kernel of truth. This was a critical component of the operation. Here, the kernel of truth is the virus itself, which causes a respiratory disease similar to seasonal Flu that results in an estimated 0.1 to 0.15% death rate.

4) China is concealing their hand by continuing to deceive the world about the origins of the virus, and more importantly, the origins of their deliberate propaganda campaign that resulted in global panic. Sadly, there have been zero government inquiries into what exactly happened in Wuhan.

5) There are countless useful idiots in this story, namely, almost every single Western government head of state, in addition to a class of pseudoscientists known as “public health experts,” who have leveraged this era to accumulate fame, fortune, and power. These useful idiots deployed China’s narratives for a variety of reasons, none of which were supported by any real scientific justification.

6) Given that the West has largely bought into Corona Mania, China does not even need to deny everything about their role in promulgating the insanity. China is surely entertained by the wild goose chases from afar in attempts to find a patient zero at some laboratories in Wuhan, but that’s more of a distraction than anything else. It’s vitally important that Western governments dedicate resources to investigating the origins of the disinformation operation. It is infinitely more important than finding a patient zero.

7) The long game is already playing out. China has emerged economically unscathed by Corona Mania, while the West is entirely depleted due to lockdowns and other self destructive measures. China has been open and thriving, without much of a vaccine rollout whatsoever, for more than a year, while the West is still inundated in lockdown madness. In the end, China launched WWIII in the form of the coronavirus, and won the war without firing a single shot.

COVID-19 should be understood not as a disease, but as nothing more than a Chinese disinformation operation that was presented in the form of a virus.

Sunset clause planned to head off vaccine certificate revolt

Seventy-three MPs have criticised plans for vaccine passports as “divisive and discriminatory” GETTY IMAGES

Vaccination passports could be imposed on the public for less than a year, according to plans being drawn up by Downing Street to head off a Tory revolt.

Boris Johnson will give the green light on Monday to the development of a system of “vaccine certification” as he looks to reinvigorate the economy.

Ministers believe the scheme may be essential in reopening venues such as theatres and stadiums which rely on large crowds.

But the idea has sparked a furious backlash, with 72 MPs yesterday signing a pledge to oppose the “divisive and discriminatory” scheme that they say risks creating a “checkpoint Britain”.

The policy has also been criticised by a government adviser. Professor Robert West warned that it would give people a false sense of security.

The scale of the rebellion presents a problem for the prime minister if the plans require primary legislation to enact them.

Last night a Whitehall source told the Daily Mail that ministers would try to win over Tory MPs by reassuring them that any new passport scheme would be time-limited.

While no decision has been taken on how long any scheme should last, the source said it was likely to be no more than a year.

“It will be time-limited and I think the duration of the scheme will be measured in months,” the source said. “The party will not wear any longer.”

A senior government source has also said that ministers were “resigned” to the fact that copanies will be able to bar people who have not been vaccinated from working for them under plans for vaccine passports. The source said they would not legally be able to stop companies from demanding them as a condition of employment.

Vaccinated so far
The government has vaccinated 15 million people in the top four priority groups and moved on to those less at risk

The Chartered Institute of Management conducted a survey recently that found that more than half of managers wanted to make coronavirus vaccinations mandatory for staff returning to work. Unions oppose the approach.

Although ministers have been clear that they will not make certificates mandatory for offices, there are no plans to forbid bosses from establishing their own schemes.

Under the plans venues could demand certificates so that they could open without the need for social distancing. They will be issued through the NHS app and provide proof that people had been vaccinated, tested negative or developed natural immunity.

The prime minister said this week that such certificates could give “maximum confidence” to businesses and customers. They could be trialled at events within weeks, including the FA Cup final on May 15 and the world snooker championships that start this month.
1617488296093.gif
West, a psychologist at University College London and member of the government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), told Times Radio that the “balance of evidence is against” widespread use of vaccine certificates, citing discrimination fears and uncertainty over the level of protection provided by vaccines.

“I think where it becomes problematic is where you need it in order to be able to undertake everyday jobs or to go into situations whether it’s restaurants or bars or events,” he said. “People will always say, ‘Well you can always get a vaccine,’ when you can’t, necessarily.

“And the other issue with it is the idea of creating a false sense of security. We don’t know exactly what the level of protection is going to be [with the vaccines] but it certainly isn’t going to be 100 per cent. I think, at the moment, the balance of evidence is against widespread adoption of vaccine passports domestically.”

A total of 73 MPs from across the three main parties at Westminster have criticised the plans as “divisive and discriminatory”, including 41 Conservatives, 22 from Labour and ten Liberal Democrats. They include Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of the 1922 Committee of backbench Tory MPs, Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour leader, and Sir Ed Davey, the Lib Dem leader.

Vaccination Passports: The Cornerstone of a Totalitarian State
Ushering China’s Social Credit System into America.
Fri Apr 2, 2021
Matthew Vadum

bvb.jpg

Vaccination passports, like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want everyone to be forced to carry, are profoundly un-American.

This data-driven authoritarianism, if it comes to pass, will wash away what remains of the rule of law and the Constitution, and annihilate the American way of life.

First, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) inflicted their possibly lab-designed Wuhan Virus on America, and now we get their Social Credit System, their totalitarian digital architecture for society as well.

America’s placeholder president, the Communist Chinese ventriloquist’s dummy who fantasizes about becoming the new Franklin Delano Roosevelt, wants these vaccination passports badly.

POTUS 46* signed Executive Order 13998 on January 21 directing government agencies to “assess the feasibility of linking COVID-19 vaccination to International Certificates of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) and producing electronic versions of ICVPs.”

The Biden-Harris administration is now working on a “vaccine passport” for Americans to carry to prove they have received a vaccination against the novel coronavirus, according to the Washington Post.

“The passports are expected to be free and available through applications for smartphones, which could display a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass,” the Jeff Bezos mouthpiece reports. “Americans without smartphone access should be able to print out the passports, developers have said.”

Five administration sources supposedly told the “Democracy dies in darkness” fabulists that COVID Czar Jeff Zients is working with unidentified private entities to institute the program. A reported 30 international airlines are said to be demanding vaccine passports.

New York State is already moving forward with a “excelsior pass,” which is expected to be required in order to access “arts, entertainment, and event venues.” Individuals will be forced to display a QR code on their smartphones to partake in cultural enrichment.

“This is going to hit all parts of society, and so naturally, the government is involved,” Andy Slavitt, acting director for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said during a White House briefing on the ongoing pandemic.
Most Americans have no idea what a social credit system is.

“China’s social credit system is about power and conformity,” U.S. Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) explains in a Fox News op-ed. “It’s an attempt to shape citizens into the CCP’s ideal subject: don’t ask questions, disobey or think for yourself.”
It also resembles the Left’s “cancel culture” in the United States in that they both share the goal of “ensuring conformity to one ideology.”

Under the CCP’s social credit system, “‘bad’ behavior lowers a person’s score and can make it difficult for them to buy, sell, travel, get loans or send their children to college. ‘Very bad’ behavior, such as political dissent, can get someone and their family members blacklisted, making it difficult for them to function in society,” Green writes.

To enforce their national blacklist, the Chinese Communists have created a unified record system to allow the government to track individuals and businesses and assess their trustworthiness. It is not at all like the U.S. credit reporting agencies Experian, Trans Union, and Equifax, which don’t have the iron fist of a totalitarian government backing them.

The Chinese system punishes those who engage in religious worship, play loud music, eat on public transportation, violate traffic rules such as jaywalking, fail to show up for restaurant or hotel reservations, fail to correctly sort waste, and smoke tobacco. Conversely, the system rewards those who donate blood, donate to charity, perform volunteer work, and use social media to praise the government. Those with favorable scores are rewarded with reduced waiting time at hospitals and government agencies, discounts at hotels and on energy bills, job offers, and better interest rates at banks.

Punishments include denial of high-speed rail tickets, denial of admission to private schools, slow Internet connections, and exclusion from prestigious work. Derogatory information about individuals deemed untrustworthy is publicly available and easy to locate. Debtors’ names and faces have been displayed before movies at movie theaters and on large screens on government buildings.

The system is related to China’s mass surveillance systems such as Skynet, which uses facial recognition and other technologies. Skynet, by the way, just so happens to be the name of the fictional all-encompassing artificial intelligence system from the Terminator movie franchise that becomes “self-aware” and attempts to eradicate humankind by nuclear attack.

“It’s easy to look at China’s repressive regime and think that it could never happen here,” Congressman Green continues, listing examples of social media censorship and social media companies’ successful efforts to prevent President Donald Trump from winning reelection.

“Yet after hearing demands from the far left to silence conservative voices, and after watching big tech and big business band together to deplatform conservatives, I’m beginning to think America could be like a frog boiling slowly in a pot,” he writes.

“What are the signs that the U.S. has its own social credit system? What else do you call it when a Democrat senator demands Republicans be put on a no-fly-list for how they voted, or when an editor is forced to resign for allowing a Republican to publish an opinion piece in the editorial section of his newspaper?”

But would a vaccination passport system morph into a Chinese-style Social Credit System here in America?

Liberal thinker Naomi Wolf says this kind of “biofascism” could easily happen.
Wolf told Steve Hilton on Fox News Channel that a mandatory vaccination passport would be “the end of human liberty.”

“How does [China] keep a billion people under the thumb of a totalitarian regime? The CCP can find any dissident in five minutes, and that can happen here literally within months.”

“I cannot say this forcefully enough: This is literally the end of human liberty in the West if this plan unfolds as planned,” she said.

“‘Vaccine passport’ sounds like a fine thing if you don't understand what these platforms can do. I'm the CEO of a tech company, I understand what this platform does. It is not about the vaccine or the virus, it is about your data. What people need to understand is that any other functionality can be loaded onto that platform with no problem at all.

“What that means is that it can be merged with your Paypal account, digital currency. Microsoft is talking about merging it with payment plans, your networks can be sucked up, it geolocates you wherever you go. All of your medical history can be included -- this has already happened in Israel.

“And six months later, we're hearing from activists that it is a two-tiered society and basically activists are ostracized and surveilled continually. It is the end of civil society and they are trying to roll it out around the world. It is absolutely so much more than a vaccine pass, it is -- I cannot stress enough that it has the power to turn off your life, or to turn on your life, to let you engage in society or be marginalized.”

Illegal aliens may not need a real passport to get into America, but actual Americans may soon need a vaccination passport to travel inside America if they don’t take action.

America needs to get back to being America, not this nightmarish dystopia we are rapidly becoming.

IT BEGINS: Cornell University Will Require Covid-19 Vaccination For Staff and Students Returning For Fall Semester

By Cristina Laila

New York – Cornell University is now mandating Covid-19 vaccines for staff and students returning to Ithaca, Geneva and Tech campuses for the Fall semester.
This is a dangerous trend and more universities will follow suit.

Last week Rutgers University in New Jersey mandated Covid-19 vaccines for students and staffers and other colleges are expected to jump on the train.

“With the recent announcements of expanded vaccine eligibility in New York and other states, and increasing vaccine production, it is likely that all members of our community will be able to obtain vaccination sometime this spring or summer,” Cornell President Martha Pollack and Provost Michael Kotlikoff said in a statement on Friday.

“Accordingly, Cornell intends to require vaccination for students returning to Ithaca, Geneva, and Cornell Tech campuses for the fall semester.”

The Provost said medical and religious exemptions will be accommodated, however their expectation will be that their campuses and classrooms “will overwhelmingly consist of vaccinated individuals.”

The Biden Administration is now working to launch “vaccine passports” so Americans can prove they’ve been inoculated.

The vaccine passports will be the key to returning to normalcy and may actually control who is allowed to participate in the workforce.

The Biden Admin is claiming the federal government won’t get involved in vaccine passports, but they will outsource the tyranny to universities and corporations so Americans can’t fly, go to school or participate in the exchange of commerce unless they are vaccinated.

China Is Asking the WHO to Hire Them to Build an International System to Maintain Flyer Data Regarding Vaccines for Cross Border Travel

Out of the kindness of their heart, China has volunteered to the World Health Organization (WHO) that they would be happy to build a system used worldwide to track travelers who have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to USAA News, China has offered to complete a system to track travelers who have received the COVID-19 vaccine:
China launched a new domestic travel policy allowing more freedom to people who have received the vaccine. Now, Beijing wants the WHO’s approval to launch a global vaccine certification system for international travel because it can “help by sharing its experience with and provide technical support.”
China believes it is “the most experienced country in using a health code system in the world.”

Speaking to Aljazeera, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry said that a system would “help promote world economic recovery and facilitate cross-border travel.”

“In terms of technology, I believe that Chinese companies can build an international platform in just one week, but it is better that the WHO, rather than any country or regional organization, be the organizer to ensure the independence, fairness and data security of the platform,” the Director General of Information Consumption Alliance, Xiang Ligang, told the Global Times, a state-run news outlet.
But the WHO is not welcoming the idea. Besides, very few countries would accept a system created by China – for several reasons, including the country’s bad record with transparency and the fact that it is the country where the outbreak started.
Of course, this is a horrible idea. Give the country that let loose this COVID-19 bioweapon information on all travelers worldwide and personal information on all of them. No need for privacy or individual freedom in this scenario. Also, would those who are outspoken against China be treated the same as those who aren’t?

This is such a bad idea we wonder if Biden/Obama will go for it.

What could possibly go wrong?

Community reacts after woman’s family says she died after getting COVID shot
  • GREG PAYNE
  • UPDATED MAR 29, 2021 | POSTED ON MAR 25, 2021

(((News video at link)))
An obituary for a Kansas woman says she died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, but medical experts say it's too early to say for sure what caused her death.

ATCHISON COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -- An obituary for a Kansas woman says she died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, but medical experts say it's too early to say for sure what caused her death.

Jeanie Evans lived in Effingham, Kansas in Atchison County.

“Right up there at the bar she liked to be close to the cash register,” says John Dove the owner of Dovenest as he pointed out Evans favorite spot.

1617588661266.png

It’s a restaurant in Effingham that he says Evans was a regular at.

“68 years old and she was a fireball,” says Dove.

Yesterday, Evans a former Effingham city council member and beloved local store clerk passed away.

“I think because everybody did know Jeanie and a lot of people grew up with her yesterday was kind of a solemn day for everybody. Everybody that passed through this door here yesterday spoke of her even today customers are coming in asking if we’ve heard more about it,” says Dove.

Evans’ obituary says she died at Stormont-Vail Hospital from a reaction to the COVID vaccine.

The hospital told us today her cause of death hasn’t been determined.

We reached out to the Kansas Department of Health about the situation, they say she was vaccinated in Jefferson County and that during the waiting period after the shot she experienced a severe allergic reaction.

As a lovable person and well-known by everyone in the community Evans’ death has left some in the area shaken up.

“For those that do want to get the vaccine that throws a certain level of doubt and for those of us who probably won’t get the vaccine because I don’t even get a flu shot that definitely seals it off to me where I’d probably wait,” says Dove.

At this time Jeanie’s death is being investigated which is standard protocol, and the health department says it is too premature to say the official cause of death.

Since buzzwords like “mutant” and “variant” haven’t scared Americans into submission, Big Media is now telling the public that a fourth wave of Covid is around the corner because of a “double mutant” variant found in the US.

These Covid tyrants want you cowering in fear forever.

Several states have opened up at full capacity within the last couple weeks so the media is in full force screeching about another “surge.”

“This morning concerns about a double mutant Coronavirus variant in the US…now identified in the San Francisco area,” GMA said.

How Many Seniors Will Needlessly Be Left to Die Before This Coronavirus Pandemic Is Over?

By Jim Hoft
Published April 5, 2021 at 7:30am
By Jim Hoft and Nick Mastrangelo
eric-j-small.jpg

On December 15th my dear friend Eric found out he had contracted coronavirus at his nursing home. Eric was kept in isolation in his assisted living apartment since March when the pandemic made its way to the US despite the historic efforts by the American president. But after nine months there was an outbreak at his nursing home and Eric caught the virus.

Eric was 81-years-old, he was overweight, diabetic, and was suspected of having Parkinson’s Disease. Eric was in poor health and declining before the virus, he was the exact type of person you would want to protect from this virus that is lethal for seniors and less lethal than the seasonal flu with children and young adults.

When I spoke with Eric he said he felt fine. I asked him what medications he was on since his diagnosis with the coronavirus. I asked him if he was on any prophylactics to assist his recovery from the virus. Eric said their plan was to wait and see. The nursing home did not give ANY medications for coronavirus unless the patient starts to experience symptoms.

This shocked me. How could it be that after nine months and over 300,000 related deaths (at that time) that the medical community had NOTHING for seniors and the obese to help them before the disease could advance and take their life?

Two weeks later when I returned from a trip I heard Eric’s condition had worsened. A day later they put Eric in the hospital. And two days later, on December 31, my dear friend Eric Junger died. He was 81.

* * * * * * * * * *
It’s been over a year since the WHO declared the coronavirus a pandemic after originally downplaying the viral threat. It is no secret that both the disease and the response to combat it following this SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in late 2019 have turned our world upside-down. Mandates, lockdowns, and guidelines seem to change every time Dr. Fauci opens his mouth. All of these unprecedented rules were put into place, we were told, to stop the spread of a disease that today is linked to the death of over half a million Americans in just over a year.

You would think that a disease that is a death sentence for the elderly, the obese, those with preexisting conditions, and that has forced children to avoid school, mask up, and get vaccinated would have certainly been faced with ramped-up research into prophylactic and therapeutic solutions since its arrival to the United States. One would think that after all this time there would be a consensus in the hospitals, in the nursing homes, and in other treatment centers on how to treat a Covid positive patient or resident. This is not the case.

Although the FDA provides a list of therapeutics and drugs approved under the EUA, there is still many discrepancies regarding the plan of action taken between hospital to hospital, or center to center. Local New York doctors have even strayed from the list provided by the FDA and administered a drug called Ivermectin to treat their Covid positive patients. Although Ivermectin is not yet approved by the FDA to treat Covid-19, Dr. Paul Shields of New York states that since December, the drug successfully treated 80 out of his 90 nursing home residents.

During the past year, we have also seen political biases coming between pursuing other possible treatments like Hydroxychloroquine. Dr. Fauci, the media and the American medical community shot down its effectiveness last year.

Today over 231 clinical trials have been published on the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine on the coronavirus. Using hydroxychloroquine in early treatment, before a patient becomes deathly ill, shows significant improvement according to the studies listed at c19HCQ.com. Yet many doctors still frown on administering the drug to patients as a prophylactic or in early treatment. Why is this?

Medical studies also show zinc and Vitamin D could have protective effects against COVID19 by supporting anti-viral immunity and reducing inflammation. Why are these not in an early diagnosis treatment plan?

What exactly is going on here?

Recently, The Gateway Pundit called a state Public Health Department and a county Public Health Department to ask about their early treatment plan for patients with the coronavirus. What we found is that the details on specific plans of action are either unknown or unavailable. Calling the hospitals themselves resulted in impatient phone operators who “don’t have time” for the caller, or a wild goose chase being sent from line to line and eventually getting hung up on.

Few nursing homes have proven to be very informative on what they do when staff or resident tests positive for Covid. However, treatment for the patient is still primarily at the discretion of the doctor or nurse practitioner with Dexamethasone being a standard option for pneumonia-like symptoms in covid patients. Because nursing homes do not carry the vast assortment of treatments that a hospital might, most of these residents are transferred to the hospital when they are ill.

It is a travesty that the US medical community still does not have a consensus plan of action for early treatment of coronavirus patients. How many seniors could have been saved but were left to die because there is no early treatment plan.

It really makes you wonder how many lives could have been saved?
And it makes me wonder if my friend Eric would still be here with us.
UPDATE:
From a reader —Intervectim is another drug that has shown success but it is ignored by the American Medical Community that continues to fail the nation.
At a March 18, 2021 press conference, a group of medical and scientific experts convened by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) called for action to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic by immediately adopting policies that allow for the use of ivermectin in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
Scientists and physicians from the U.S., U.K., E.U., South America, and Israel gathered to discuss the latest data on how ivermectin has reduced positive COVID-19 cases in major cities across the world, ivermectin’s role in the early treatment of COVID-19, and why ivermectin needs to be adopted as safe and effective prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

US Grant To Wuhan Lab To Enhance Bat-Based Coronaviruses Was Never Scrutinized By HHS Review Board, NIH Says
feat_00000

ANDREW KERRINVESTIGATIVE REPORTER
April 04, 20218:39 PM ET
  • The National Institutes of Health has “systematically thwarted” government oversight of dangerous pathogen research, Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard H. Ebright told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
  • The P3CO Review Framework was created in 2017 after a three-year pause on government funding of research that intentionally makes pathogens more deadly or transmissible.
  • An NIH grant that involved the modification of bat-based coronaviruses and the transfer of $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology prior to the pandemic bypassed P3CO review because the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, led by Anthony Fauci, didn’t flag the project for review.
An oversight board created to scrutinize research that would enhance highly dangerous pathogens did not review a National Institutes of Health grant that funded a lab in Wuhan, China, to genetically modify bat-based coronaviruses.

Experts say the NIH grant describes scientists conducting gain-of-function research, a risky area of study that, in this case, made SARS-like viruses even more contagious. Federal funding for gain-of-function research was temporarily suspended in 2014 due to widespread scientific concerns it risked leaking supercharged viruses into the human population.

Federal funding for gain-of-function research was resumed in late 2017 after the Potential Pandemic Pathogens Control and Oversight (P3CO) Framework was formed within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The review board is tasked with critically evaluating whether grants that involve enhancing dangerous pathogens, such as coronaviruses, are worth the risks and that proper safeguards are in place.

But the NIH subagency that awarded the grant to the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance to study Chinese bat coronaviruses opted against forwarding it to the P3CO committee, an NIH spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation, meaning the research received federal funding without an independent review by the HHS board.

“This is a systemic problem,” Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard H. Ebright told the DCNF, referring to the loophole in the review framework.

Ebright said the offices of the director for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) — the subagency that funded EcoHealth — and the NIH have “systematically thwarted–indeed systematically nullified–the HHS P3CO Framework by declining to flag and forward proposals for review.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci leads the NIAID and Dr. Francis S. Collins heads the NIH.
An NIH spokesperson said its subagency did not flag the EcoHealth grant for independent review by the HHS review committee.

“After careful review of the grant, NIAID determined research in the grant was not gain-of-function research because it did not involve the enhancement of the pathogenicity or transmissibility of the viruses studied,” the spokesperson told the DCNF.

“We would not submit research proposals that did not meet the definition, because otherwise we would need to submit everything,” the spokesperson said.

How Federal Oversight Of Gain-Of-Function Research Is Bypassed
The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) is at the center of widespread speculation that COVID-19 could have accidentally leaked from a lab into the human population. EcoHealth’s grant to study bat-based coronaviruses in China included the transfer of $600,000 to the WIV.

Had EcoHealth’s grant been subjected to P3CO review, an HHS panel would have independently evaluated the grant and, if necessary, recommended additional biocontainment measures to prevent potential lab leaks — or even recommended that the grant be denied entirely.

The WIV is a biosafety level 4 laboratory, the highest level biocontainment certification, but U.S. Embassy officials issued two diplomatic cables warning about inadequate safety at the lab after a visit in 2018. One of the cables warned that the lab’s work on bat-based coronaviruses represented the risk of a new SARS-like pandemic, according to The Washington Post.

An annex to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 origin report released Tuesday describes the WIV’s work using “recombinant viruses” in tests involving bat coronaviruses, which Ebright said are descriptions of gain-of-function research.

The U.S. government paused funding of gain-of-function research in 2014 after lab workers were accidentally exposed to anthrax by the Centers for Disease Control, according to The New York Times. The incident came on the heels of widespread scientific outcry in 2011 when it was revealed that laboratories in Wisconsin and the Netherlands were intentionally modifying the H5N1 bird flu virus so it could more effectively jump between ferrets.

Federally funded gain-of-function research resumed in 2017 after new oversight procedures were implemented. The review framework split oversight responsibilities between two groups — the funding agency (the NIAID in the case of the EcoHealth grant) and the P3CO Review Committee, an interdisciplinary group convened by HHS.

The committee is responsible for recommending whether a research grant involving gain-of-function needs to include any additional risk mitigation measures, an HHS spokesperson told the DCNF. But the committee is kept in the dark on any grant until the funding agency flags one for its review.

The P3CO Framework doesn’t require the HHS review committee to take a second look at the NIAID’s determination following its review that the EcoHealth grant did not involve gain-of-function research.

The NIH spokesperson said it would be “misleading and inaccurate” to suggest NIAID was required to notify the HHS review committee of its determination.
An HHS spokesperson confirmed that the department’s P3CO Review Committee only reviews research grants that are flagged for additional review by funding agencies such as NIAID. The spokesperson did not answer when asked if the review committee had knowledge of the EcoHealth grant.

Ecohealth has a history of manipulating bat-based coronaviruses. The group’s president, Peter Daszak, said as much during a podcast interview filmed in Singapore just weeks before the first reported cases of COVID-19 in Wuhan in December 2019.

“You can manipulate them in the lab pretty easily,” Daszak said. “Spike protein drives a lot of what happens with the coronavirus. Zoonotic risk. So you can get the sequence, you can build the protein — and we work with Ralph Baric at [the University of North Carolina] to do this — and insert the backbone of another virus and do some work in the lab.”

Ebright told the DCNF that NIAID was wrong to determine that the EcoHealth grant did not involve enhancing the transmissibility of Chinese bat-based coronaviruses. He said the project’s abstract for the 2019 fiscal year, which referenced “in vitro and in vivo infection experiments” on coronaviruses, “*unequivocally* required risk-benefit review under the HHS P3CO Framework.”

Other scientists have said EcoHealth’s NIH-funded work in China involved gain-of-function research on bat-based coronaviruses.

“It is hard to overemphasize that the central logic of this grant was to test the pandemic potential of SARS-related bat coronaviruses by making ones with pandemic potential, either through genetic engineering or passaging, or both,” Drs. Jonathan Latham and Allison Wilson wrote in June.

The NIH terminated the EcoHealth grant in April 2020. NIH deputy director for extramural research, Michael Lauer, told the group in a letter that the agency “does not believe that the current project outcomes align with the program goals and agency priorities.”

Fauci said during a hearing before the House Energy & Commerce Committee in June that the EcoHealth grant was canceled “because the NIH was told to cancel it.”

“I don’t know the reason, but we were told to cancel it,” Fauci said.
Fauci told Politico following the hearing that former President Donald Trump’s White House ordered the NIH to cancel the grant.

HHS Official Acknowledged Government Oversight Of GOF Research Is Flawed
The only known member of the HHS P3CO Review Committee is its chairman, Chris Hassell, the senior science advisor for the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. He disclosed his involvement in a January 2020 talk before the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity.

Hassell said during the talk that the current definition for a potential pandemic pathogen is “very narrow … which has resulted in only getting a few influenza-related proposals” for the committee’s review.

“I’ll just probably be more frank than maybe appropriate — I think that’s too narrow,” said Hassell, who then suggested that the government could be funding gain-of-function research that his committee hasn’t vetted.

“I think that could be revisited, and again there could be some definition issues,” Hassell said.

When gain-of-function funding was paused in 2014, 21 research projects were halted. But the NIH created exceptions for 10 of those, according to The New York Times.

After the funding continued in 2017, only two projects have been approved in accordance with the P3CO Framework. Both projects deal with the influenza virus, according to the NIH.

It’s unclear how many research grants have been reviewed under the framework. An NIH spokesperson said they don’t comment or discuss unfunded grant applications.

It’s also unclear who else serves on the HHS P3CO Review Committee. Hassell said in January 2020 that the committee is comprised only of federal employees, but said it could be detrimental to their work to release their names.

“As much as it would be good to publicize the individual names, which has been suggested, if that chills anyone being willing to serve on that committee, that would be detrimental,” Hassell said.

An HHS spokesperson said Hassell was unavailable for comment.

Diners at a Vancouver restaurant flouting the province's 'circuit breaker' restrictions join in a chant Saturday, prompting health officials attempting to enforce the health order to leave.

The owner of a Vancouver restaurant is vowing to continue defying a provincial health order banning indoor dining for three weeks, despite being served with an individual order to close.

On Monday it was announced this restaurant and another Vancouver restaurant have both had their business licenses suspended.

Vancouver police said a liquor coordinator and provincial health officers attended Corduroy Restaurant on Cornwall Avenue, Saturday and issued a full closure order.

But the restaurant remained open to diners when Global News attended Saturday night, and on its Instagram page, the restaurant says it plans to reopen on Tuesday, after closing for Easter and because it had run out of food.

Video posted to Facebook on Saturday showed what appeared to be staff with Vancouver Coastal Health attending to speak with Corduroy owner Rebecca Matthews.

In the video, Matthews, who is unmasked and has an infant strapped to her chest, tells the inspectors she does not recognize their jurisdiction and that they are trespassing.

Diners at the packed restaurant then join into a chant of “Get out! Get out!”
prompting the health officials to leave to cheers from the crowd.

Vancouver police referred questions to Vancouver Coastal Health and provincial officials.

In a statement, Vancouver Coastal Health said “any alleged violations of closure orders are taken very seriously and are thoroughly investigated.”

Asked about the apparent lack of enforcement, Health Minister Adrian Dix said action was being taken Sunday.

“I’m frustrated with the behaviour here,” he said. “No one misunderstands the rules.”

Vaccines using fetal tissue: 12 faulty assumptions
Some beliefs about the morality of vaccines using fetal tissue are flawed because they rest upon faulty assumptions — thus, whichever side you stand on, it’s worth considering the most common ones.

Thu Apr 1, 2021 - 2:40 pm EST

April 1, 2021 (Fetal Tissue Vaccines) — As with the MMR [1] vaccine, the Oxford/AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine are produced in cell lines derived from abortions [2] — by contrast, Moderna and Pfizer’s vaccines used them in testing.[3]

The debate around the morality of fetal tissue vaccines frequently has at its heart three beliefs:

  • In receiving the vaccine we are not cooperating with past evil;
  • In receiving the vaccine we are not contributing to present or future evil;
  • There is almost no connection between the vaccine and the murdered baby.
These beliefs are flawed because they rest upon faulty assumptions — thus, whichever side you stand on, it’s worth considering the most common ones.

1. “Only a few babies were used.”
While each individual cell line contains the cells of just one baby, many aborted babies are used in the process of creating a cell line.[4] For example, under oath, scientist Stanley Plotkin admitted that there were 76 aborted babies used in just one vaccine study.[5] Furthermore, with cell line WI-25 we know that it was the 25th specimen from the 19th baby.[6]

The two cell strains used by COVID vaccines are named HEK293 and PERC6.[7] The name HEK293 stands for a Human Embryonic Kidney from the 293rd experiment [8] — we can be confident that more babies preceded the final baby used for HEK293.[9]

2. “The babies were of a very early gestation.”
Most of the babies whose tissue formed the basis of the different vaccine cell lines, were over 3 months when aborted.[10] For example, under oath, scientist Stanley Plotkin admitted that all of the 76 unborn babies used in the study were 3 months or older.[11]

At 3 months, a baby is fully formed: “she has begun swallowing and kicking … facial muscles are getting a workout as her tiny features form one expression after another …”[12]

3. “Consent was given, so usage is ethical.”
Parties to a murder cannot ethically donate the body of their victim to research. Thus it follows that no meaningful consent exists. (Though the mothers involved are often, to varying extents, victims themselves.)

4. “The baby was dead when the tissue was taken.”
With fetal tissue research, cell death renders the tissue unfit for purpose: tissues and organs must be harvested “within 5 minutes” [13, 14] and at times this occurs while the baby’s heart is still beating [15, 16] — this was also revealed during a Planned Parenthood court deposition.[17, 18]

Thus, harvesting the organs can be a type of torture [19] beyond the normal abortion procedure. Though we have no definitive proof live harvesting occurred specifically in the making of vaccine cell lines, since it is “no rare event” [20, 21, 22, 23] there are legitimate grounds for concern.[24]

5. “Some were from miscarriages.”
“The requirements for ‘freshness’ of many human foetal tissues” [25] mean it is extremely unlikely any were from miscarriages.[26] “To obtain embryo cells, embryos from spontaneous abortions cannot be used…”[27]

6. “Using a dead body is distinct from abortion.”
Some imagine that those involved in creating the cell lines have nothing to do with the abortion itself. However, in advance of the abortion of a fetus whose tissue will be used for research, there are a number of steps that take place. These include obtaining consent, conducting genetic screening,[28] selecting the abortion method [29] and other steps for optimal harvesting [30] — all of which impact the abortionist’s conduct, creating considerable interplay with the agent seeking human material, who thus “becomes to some extent an accessory”.[31] A parallel to Saul at Stephen’s stoning [32] exists — Saul didn’t throw a stone, but as a consenting bystander he was not without moral guilt.[33] In cases of live tissue extraction, research is still more directly connected to murder.

7. “No one now profits from the abortion.”
Companies who developed the cell lines continue to be rewarded by their use, including in vaccines.[34] Thus direct benefit accrues to agents complicit in the original murder.

8. “Vaccines don’t contain the child’s actual cells.”
Vaccines produced in cell lines contain fragments [35] of the child’s DNA — one study even found “a complete individual genome” [36] of the aborted child. The divided cells the vaccine was grown in would have been the child’s as she grew.[37, 38]

9. “No extra abortions are necessary.”
Despite claims to the contrary, normal cell strains “are in fact ‘mortal’” [39], bound by the “Hayflick Limit” [40] of about 50 cell divisions. Since HEK293 becomes cancerous after time,[41] it will need replacing — just as other early cell strains did.[42] The use of vaccines eventually creates a need for further abortions to replace depleting stocks.

10. “The abortions were from decades ago.”
Though most abortions for vaccines were from before the 80s,[43, 44] time cannot make murder moral. Moreover, a new Chinese cell line, WALVAX-2 was created in 2015,[45] and as already explained, more lines will be necessary.

11. “No further babies are suffering as a result.”
While fetal tissue vaccines are widely accepted, general fetal harvesting is legitimized and impossible to ban [46, 47, 48] — so it has grown instead, leading to many more babies suffering.

For example, in 1982 a container of 16,500 fetuses was found at the US home of a former laboratory owner.[49] In 2003, the Dutch company behind HEK293 sought aborted babies as far afield as New Zealand [50] and Australia.[51] Journal articles discuss “the fetal tissue economy” in Britain.[52] In 2019, 2,200 fetuses were found at an abortionists home [53] and the court depositions of Planned Parenthood staff [54] showed harvesting continues at scale.

Moreover, both polls [55, 56, 57] (and some practice [58]) indicate that parents are more likely to choose abortion if “medical use” of a fetus is possible. Thus, if the option of having babies used for medical purposes was not available, less future babies would suffer and be aborted.

If even a percentage of the 2-3 billion nominal [59] pro-lifers rejected such vaccines, moral alternatives would be found and an “ethically, morally and biblically wrong”[60] industry might end.

12. “The ‘greater good’ outweighs concerns.”
To acquiesce with evil against an innocent unwilling victim for the sake of communal blessing enters dark waters — all historic child sacrifice is based on this premise. “However, it may then be argued that these baby body parts would otherwise be wasted, thrown away. But not only does this justify abortion, but it is pure utilitarianism, that says pretty well anything is justified as long as the end is (potentially) good. In good medical science the end does not justify the means.”[61]

Conclusion
From a Judeo-Christian perspective, the God of the Old and New Testament is set apart by not asking for the firstborn of men to die that others might live. Fetal tissue vaccines perhaps possess moral taint far beyond that of meat offered to idols.

Footnotes

[1] For an excellent summary of all U.S. and Canadian vaccines with fetal tissue see Children of God for Life’s vaccine list. In the U.K., it is possibly only the MMR vaccine that contains them, and there are two brands: MMRVaxPro and Priorix. Priorix appears on the U.S. & Canada chart: It’s the Rubella component that is troubling (though you might not guess from the Patient Information Leaflet — it appears “amino acids” is the euphemistic term used). In the U.S., Children of God for Life successfully introduced legislation for fair labeling so parents could be properly informed. Fortunately, the MMRVaxPro Patient Information Leaflet in section 6 describes the “contents of the pack” and there lists production dependencies/ingredients (WI-38 & RA27/3 are both explicitly listed — i.e. fetal tissue cell lines).

FBI Sends Out Warning Advising Against Buying, Making or Misrepresenting a Vaccine Card Which May Be “Breaking the Law”

The FBI is now in the pandemic business. They were part of illegal activities in the Russian sham. They ignored massive corruption in the 2020 election, but now find their purpose pushing vaccinations cards to Americans.

A couple of days ago, the FBI in Minneapolis tweeted out the following warning:

The tweet links to an FBI Public Service Announcement:

One response to the FBI’s ignorance of personal freedom was to refer to the Gates Foundation:

Another response reminded the FBI of human rights – something they certainly lack training on at all levels:

Americans are not happy with what is going on anywhere in our government. The government has likely never been more hated than it is today.

Blue States Lead US COVID Resurgence As "Double Mutant" Strains Discovered In California

MONDAY, APR 05, 2021 - 09:40 PM
COVID cases continued to climb in the US over the holiday weekend, as the 7-day average of new cases nationwide topped 64K yesterday, its highest level since March 1. The US reported just under 68K new cases yesterday, along with 804 deaths (for what it's worth, deaths in the US have continued to decline, as some have theorized that many of the new cases being recorded are the result of false positives).

Source: mSightly
All told, the US has more than 30.7M confirmed coronavirus cases and 555K deaths.

Furthermore, Massachusetts public health authorities warned that the Bay State now accounts for roughly 25% of total cases of the P.1 coronavirus "variant" confirmed in the US. the mutant strain was first discovered in Brazil, and has been blamed for driving the sharp acceleration in mortality rates seen among younger patients in Latin America's largest economy.

Researchers from MIT and Harvard have traced the mutant strain to a cluster on Cape Cod. The state announced the first case of the P.1 variant, which was originally detected in Brazil and is more transmissible than the original strain, on March 16, and said it was identified in a Barnstable County woman in her 30s.

She first tested positive for the virus in late February, and at the time officials said there was no information available pertaining to her travel history or illness.
But Massachusetts isn't alone: Many of its neighboring northeastern states are also seeing new cases accelerate.

Source: mSightly
What's more, 13 US states are now in the highest COVID-19 risk level, up from 11 last week.

Source: mSightly

In Michigan, one of the states in the "red" column, federal officials have warned about a potential fourth wave of infections as the state emerges as one of the most troublesome hotspots in the country, with average daily infections now 5x higher than they were 6 weeks ago. According to state data, since Feb. 19, average daily new COVID-19 cases among children under 10 jumped 230%, more than any other age group. The second-highest increase in infections is in the 10 to 19 age group, which saw cases rise 227%. The trends in these groups exceed that of the state as a whole. Doctors and infectious disease experts in Michigan attributed much of the rise in pediatric cases to the reopening of schools and youth sports. State data show more than 40% of new outbreaks (defined as two or more cases linked by place and time) have been traced to either K-12 schools or youth programs.

As reports about the risks posed by mutant strains spread, researchers in California's Bay Area have confirmed a "double-mutant" strain first identified in India. The strain's arrival in the US was recently confirmed by researchers at Stanford's Clinical Virology Lab. Genomic sequencing was used to identify the strain, and at least 7 cases of the variant have been confirmed by the team. The variant is being labeled as the "double mutant" because it carries two mutations in the virus that helps it latch onto cells, according to Fox News.

"If you are in an elevator with someone that is infected with the variant you are more likely to be infected by that variant," said Stanford Clinical Virology Lab Director, Dr. Ben Pinsky.

Pinsky added that the variant could be more infectious because it accounts for 20% of cases in the hard-hit Indian state of Maharashtra. Cases there have increased 50% within the last week, he said.

As the US reacts to the "mutant" threat, Cornell University officially became the first Ivy League school to follow suit, announcing Sunday night that it plans to require students (and faculty, unlike Rutgers, which gave faculty a pass) to get vaccinated against COVID-19 if they want to be allowed onto the school's campuses in the fall. The decision follows a similar decision by Rutgers, New Jersey's flagship public university, announced that it would require all students to be fully vaccinated before returning to campus in the fall,
Last week, New Jersey-based Rutgers became the first major university to announce that it, too, would require students and staffed to get inoculated before the state of the fall semester.

'With the recent announcements of expanded vaccine eligibility in New York and other states, and increasing vaccine production, it is likely that all members of our community will be able to obtain vaccination sometime this spring or summer,’ Cornell President Martha Pollack and Provost Michael Kotlikoff wrote in a joint statement.

On the vaccine front, 12 more US states are allowing all adults to sign up for vaccinations starting Monday.

Source: mSightly

Still, according to pubic health experts, the US is still a ways away from achieving herd immunity. Even after hitting a new record of more than 4M vaccinations delivered over the weekend, only about 18.5% of adults are fully vaccinated.

Looking abroad, India also made headlines Monday as health officials reported more than 100K new COVID cases over the prior 24 hours - the highest daily tally since late last year. Daily infections in India have climbed 12x since hitting a multi-month loaw in February, as authorities have eased restrictions, and scientists warned that mutant cases have "supercharged" the pandemic. Indian stocks tumbled on Monday, as the country's resurgent COVID outbreak has horrified investors.

The Cult of Safety
By Thomas Buckley

It was the 1970s. Dry cleaning bags lurked quietly behind couches waiting patiently for the opportunity to pounce on the hapless child who dropped a Lego nearby. Unguarded five-gallon buckets stood brazenly in the middle of basement floors hoping to entice their next drowning victim. Discarded refrigerators prowled the land looking for unsuspecting eight-year-olds to gobble up. GI Joes and Barbies, with the help of their little owners, were making out everywhere.

It is the 2020s. Entire schools ban peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because maybe one kid might have an allergy. Parents get visits from county protective services for letting their children play unsupervised in the park across the street. Jungle gyms are an endangered species. And third-graders are taught to not impose cisnormative constructs, let alone behaviors, on anyone or anything.

The odd thing is that the events described in the first paragraph (except the GI Joe one) were not actually happening on any grand scale. The sad thing is that the events in the second paragraph are.

There has to be a middle ground.

Admittedly, there were children -- one assumes -- who did manage to trap themselves inside random refrigerators, hence the televised public service announcements (seriously, and such a seventies solution) asking the public to at least take the handle off of the appliance before heaving it over an embankment or leaving it in a burned-lot in the Bronx. And admittedly -- again, one assumes -- a child somewhere, somehow managed to get themselves tangled up in a dry-cleaning bag. As to the bucket problem, that one is rather hard to fathom but it must have happened at least once to spawn the lawsuit that forced manufacturers to put drowning warnings -- complete with a graphic depiction of the inept toddler -- on their buckets.

Whether it was caused by the misadventures of Darwin’s children, the ever-burgeoning personal injury litigation field, a cherry-picking sensationalist media, humanity’s inability to comprehend statistics or some combination thereof, society has clearly shifted drastically from a relatively laissez faire approach to common hazards to -- not just a risk aversion or risk reduction model -- the codified elimination of risk.

There was once a feeling that hard cases make bad law; it now appears that the concept that any case must make immediate law holds sway.

The process started with some actually pretty necessary commonsense notions -- drunk driving is not actually cool, dumping toxic waste in salmon brooks might not be a good thing, smoking really can kill you so quit, don’t eat lead paint, etc.

But these were the easy bits and the organizations and forces behind their implementation soon came to realize that if people started to be more sensible in general, society’s need for their input, expertise, and services -- their guiding hand -- would by definition decrease.

Take, for example, the March of Dimes. Originally started as an effort to both find a vaccine against polio and to help those already stricken, the organization in the early 1960s was facing a dilemma. With the vaccines pretty much eradicating the disease, the group was faced with a choice: declare victory and essentially close up shop or continue forward and not waste the fundraising and organizational skills and capital they had built up over the previous 20-odd years.

They chose the latter and continue to this day as a very well-respected and important group, leading various initiatives to fight numerous childhood maladies, just not polio.

In the March of Dimes case, they unquestionably made the right call, and they continue to serve a vital function. But, respectfully, to state that there were no, shall we say, personal motivations involved in that decision strains credulity.

This pattern -- whether with good and righteous intent or not -- was and is being repeated over and over again as lesser people and groups actively search out something -- anything -- that could theoretically possibly be misused or can even remotely be deemed questionable (everything is questionable -- all someone has to do is ask the question) to latch onto and save us from. Whether out of true concern or some other nefarious motive -- power, profit, societal purchase -- the inexorable march towards the bubble-wrap world of today that was launched by the professional caring class continues all the way from the classroom to the living room to the newsroom to the board room.

Obviously, we can see this process in real time in the pandemic effort. From “two weeks to stop the spread” to fully vaccinated people being shame/told to wear two masks a year later, this continuing impact is a perfect example of a “gain of function” experimental research principle being implemented not in a lab but in society at large.

This form of -- or bastardization of -- progress is in fact antithetical to the tenets of a free society. By worshiping at the altar of the safe we denigrate, delay, and deny the myriad possibilities for human advancement that are inherent in the concept of risk.

It may seem to be a bit of leap to claim that the proposition that children should be warned to stop eating lead paint led inevitably to having children ask people what their preferred pronouns are so as to avoid even the semblance of giving offense, but this form of incrementalism -- whether intentional or not -- cannot be easily controlled once started.

And this is one slippery slope on which a "Cuidado Piso Mojado" sign is nowhere in sight.

Low risk of catching COVID from surfaces, CDC says in updated guidance

By Tamar Lapin
April 5, 2021 | 9:41pm | Updated

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday there is no significant risk of catching the coronavirus from a surface or object.

The CDC clarified its position in a guidance update that said people generally contract COVID-19 through direct contact with a sick person or from airborne transmission.

“It is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (fomites), but the risk is generally considered to be low,” the revised guidance states.

The official revision was made nearly a year after the agency noted last May that COVID-19 “does not spread easily” through touching surfaces or objects.

Before that, at the beginning of the pandemic last March, the agency had warned that “it may be possible” to pass on the bug from contaminated surfaces.

That initial guidance prompted the MTA to close the subway system overnight and to use disinfectants to clean every surface in stations and trains.
1617738321695.png
MTA Chairman Pat Foye was accused then by Brooklyn City Councilman Brad Lander of performing “hygiene theater” with the extreme cleaning regime.

The CDC now says that disinfectants aren’t even necessary in most situations and that simple cleaning agents appear to be effective against the virus.

“There is little scientific support for routine use of disinfectants in community settings, whether indoor or outdoor,” to prevent spread through surfaces, the CDC said.

“In most situations, cleaning surfaces using soap or detergent, and not disinfecting, is enough to reduce risk.”

The new guidelines were introduced by Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC director, during a White House coronavirus briefing on Monday.

She said that some cleaning methods, such as fogging, fumigation and electrostatic spraying, aren’t recommended as a primary method of disinfection and actually carry safety risks.

Case reports have shown that the virus can be transmitted when a person touches their nose, mouth or eyes after touching something that an infected person has recently coughed or sneezed on.

But, the CDC noted, studies have found that the risk of catching the bug via a surface is generally less than 1 in 10,000.

New York's vaccine passport program is already failing

The Cuomo-IBM idiocracy can't produce a good product.

Liberty advocates, rejoice! The idiocracy is going to save us from another form of COVID tyranny. Thanks to a combination of bungling authoritarians and decaying legacy corporations, these entities are simply too incompetent to pull off a functioning vaccine passport program.

New York’s rollout of its vaccine passport already has the markings of a five alarm dumpster fire. The New York State “Excelsior Pass” vaccine passport system, which was created by IBM, has so many issues that I wouldn’t be surprised if the program was scrapped altogether before the end of the calendar year. It has massive security flaws, a shrinking customer base by design, it remains incredibly impractical, and it’s incredibly easy to manipulate. Excelsior Pass sucks, thanks to the idiocracy that was responsible for its design and implementation.

A rigid system
Say you want to attend a Knicks game this evening at Madison Square Garden, a partner to the Excelsior Pass program. It’s 9 a.m. and your event is at 7:30 p.m. If you don’t have the vaccine yet, that means you will need to obtain a negative COVID-19 test to receive your pass. Want to take that test this morning? Not so fast! The antigen test needs to have been administered within the last 6 hours, so you better plan your entire day around navigating that short window between your COVID test and the event this evening.

Just received your second dose and you’re ready to hit the town? Not so fast! You must wait at least two weeks before your green check mark appears on your vaccine passport.

Has it been more than 90 days since your last dose? Rejected! You only have a 76 day window (more than 14 days, under 90 days) to acquire a vax pass, which has to be renewed every 30 days.

Received a vaccine or COVID test from out of state? Took a private at home test kit or a test from a provider that is not registered in the New York State central database? Looks like you’re out of luck. You will not be able to receive your prized Excelsior Pass, because your information never made it into the system.

Are you an out of state resident looking to attend an event or enter an Excelsior Pass participating store? You’re out of luck! The New York system does not communicate with other databases, and other states plan on rewarding vaccine passport contracts to other companies.

Junk application
In order to download Excelsior Pass on your phone, you need the latest version of Android or iOS. For users of phones that are more than 4-5 years, this means you will not be able to access the application. If you have an iPhone 6 or earlier, you can’t download Excelsior Pass because it only runs on the latest operating system, which doesn’t work on these older phones.

Users of the app are absolutely hammering it for its dysfunction. Of the 240 reviews for the application on iOS, over 100 reviews received 1 star out of 5.
Here’s a small sample size of user complaints from the last week:

IBM sucks
New York’s Excelsior Pass was constructed on IBM’s Digital Health Pass platform. IBM claims that it keeps your data secure on its “blockchain technology” platform, which is a corporate buzzword excuse for a total lack of transparency about how it hosts your sensitive health records. In fact, a devastating February report on IBM’s Blockchain program showed it failed to produce anything meaningful, and the company has cut its staff by a reported 90 percent.

Overpromising and under delivering is nothing new for IBM. Before the blockchain hype, IBM promised it would help treat and cure cancer through its Watson artificial intelligence platform. Watson AI has been marketed for a decade, and it has produced almost nothing of substance. Both IBM Blockchain and IBM’s Watson AI has been catered specifically to health care applications, and neither has developed any substantial real world uses. Don’t be surprised if IBM’s vaccine passport program, which is part of its IBM Blockchain skeleton crew, meets the same fate.

Anyone can steal your information and take your Vax Pass
The IBM-New York vaccine passport system has incredibly lax security protocols, making it easy for a random individual to steal your identity and obtain Gov. Cuomo’s vaunted Excelsior Pass.

In order to see if someone is eligible for an Excelsior Pass (and acquire their COVID-19 health records), all you need is a first and last name, a date of birth, and a zip code (yes, not even their address, just their zip code). If you’re eligible for the pass, you then get taken to a second screen where you have to enter more relatively easily obtained information to “verify your identity.” Even if you get some questions wrong, it appears that you can go back in and answer an unlimited amount of times until you get the right combination.

Failure imminent
Vaccine passports are inhumane, discriminatory, and will lead America on a direct path to a China-like social credit score system that restricts our unalienable rights. The good news for you New Yorkers is that the Cuomo Administration and IBM are the dream team of incompetence. Excelsior Pass will almost certainly fail, because a legacy governor and a legacy tech outfit are not sophisticated enough to produce a working totalitarian product for their COVID Safety Regime.

CDC Backtracks Again – Now Says Only 1 in 10,000 Chance of Getting China Coronavirus (COVID-19) from Surfaces

By Joe Hoft
Published April 7, 2021 at 9:45am
cdc-600x401.jpg

The CDC backtracks again – Now there’s only a 1-in-10,000 chance of getting COVID-19 from surfaces.

Surprise, surprise – the CDC is wrong again.

FOX News reports:
The CDC has made clear that COVID-19 is a respiratory disease transmitted mainly through human-to-human interaction but noted last spring that “it may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose or possibly their eyes.”

The CDC website now cites several studies that “suggest that the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection via the fomite transmission route is low, and generally less than 1 in 10,000, which means that each contact with a contaminated surface has less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of causing an infection.”
This isn’t the first time the CDC has been way off base – pushing frightening data rather than promoting the truth about the China coronavirus.

The CDC has had a horrible time determining what to do about masks:
The CDC has actually been spastic with their recommendations for masks:
The CDC also has had a horrible time with accurate data:

246 "Fully Vaccinated" Michigan Residents Catch COVID-19, 3 Die

WEDNESDAY, APR 07, 2021 - 12:45 PM
So much for the COVID jabs being "100% effective" at preventing "serious illness."

Michigan, now the epicenter of the American COVID outbreak, is desperately begging the federal government for more vaccines. But reports about a rash of infections in "fully vaccinated" patients might provoke a rethink.

The Detroit News reported that as many as 246 vaccinated Michigan residents later tested positive for the deadly bug, including three who have died. The cases were reported between Jan. 1 and March 31, and the 246 had a positive test 14 or more days after the last dose in the vaccine series, said Lynn Sutfin, a spokeswoman for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
"Some of these individuals may ultimately be excluded from this list due to continuing to test positive from a recent infection prior to being fully vaccinated," she said.
"These cases are undergoing further review to determine if they meet other CDC criteria for determination of potential breakthrough, including the absence of a positive antigen or PCR test less than 45 days prior to the post-vaccination positive test. In general, these persons have been more likely to be asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic compared with vaccinated persons."
The department had hospitalization data for 117 of the cases, but 129 were incomplete, Sutfin added. The three deaths were all "persons 65 years or older," and two of them died within three weeks of completion of vaccination, she said.

"While the majority of the population develops full immunity within 14 days of completion of their vaccine series, a small proportion appear to take onger to mount a full antibody response." Of the 117 with data available, 11 were hospitalized, 103 were not hospitalized, and 3 are reported as unknown, Sutfin said.

As of April 4, about 2.95 million residents, or about 36.5% of Michigan's population, have been vaccinated, either with one or two doses, according to the state website. About 4.7M doses had been administered.

New cases have surged over the last month, pushing the 7-day average to its highest level since late last year. Even deaths have started to creep higher, a possible effect of mutant strains that are spreading faster in the state.

California's Failed Response To COVID

TUESDAY, APR 06, 2021 - 07:45 PM
Authored by Dr.Jayanta Bhattacharya and Dr.Martin Kulldorff via The American Institute for Economic Research,

Now that we’ve “celebrated” the first anniversary of COVID-19 in California, it’s a good time to take stock of the state’s response.

From the beginning, the Golden State has taken an aggressive stance toward the epidemic, including imposing the earliest shelter-in-place order in the nation; ceasing in-person schooling for the vast majority of public-school kids; shuttering churches, parks, and playgrounds; mandating masks, with hefty fines for violators; and forcing the closure of “non-essential” businesses that cannot operate using distancing technologies, such as videoconferencing. Even Disneyland has been closed since March 2020. In short, California has followed one of the strictest lockdowns in the country.

Though the state’s response received high marks in July from the “covidian” high priesthood, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, the state has seen exploding coronavirus cases and deaths. Through March 28, 2021, 8.9 percent of all Californians have been identified as COVID cases - 3.6 million cases. Since most infections are not recognized as cases, a much larger fraction of the population has been infected with COVID. Through March 29 this year, nearly 57,800 people have died in California with COVID.

To put these numbers in perspective, it helps to have a comparison state that has followed a very different policy. For that, we should consider Florida, which partially lifted its lockdown in May 2020 and then further relaxed restrictions in September (based in part on focused protection ideas advocated by us).

In sharp contrast to California, in Florida most schools and universities have been open for in-person instruction since the fall, normal human activities—sports, church going, visits to the park—occur with regularity, and businesses have been open for in-person activities. Local ordinances can recommend masks and social distancing and impose indoor-capacity limitations but cannot mandate closures, as is the case in California. Disneyworld has been open since July. At the same time, Florida increased testing and protection within its nursing homes to reduce the risk of COVID among its most vulnerable residents.

The Florida policy has drawn sharp criticism from Fauci, who said it “opened up too quickly” in July. However, the infection control results to date look remarkably similar to California’s, and in some ways better. Through March 28, 9.5 percent of Floridians have been identified as COVID cases. Once we account for the fact that Florida has one of the oldest populations in the country and California has one of the youngest, the death rates with COVID through March 28 are lower in Florida than in California. In fact, the COVID death rate for the under-65 population and the over-65 population are both lower in Florida than in California.

Some think of lockdowns as the only possible way to protect the population from exposure to COVID risk. In reality, the lockdowns in California and elsewhere have served to protect only a portion of the population—the rich.

Data from Los Angeles County, where a large fraction of COVID cases in California has happened, put this fact in stark relief. Through March 28, in the wealthiest parts of LA County (those with less than 10 percent of households in poverty), the age-adjusted death rate with COVID-19 was 119 people per 100,000 population. As we look in poorer and poorer areas, the death rate mounts: areas with more than 30 percent of households in poverty have faced a death rate of 394 people per 100,000—a death rate more than three times higher. Hispanics in LA have borne the worst of the pandemic, with a death rate of 338 per 100,000. By contrast, Black, Asian, and White residents have experienced 188, 143, and 119 deaths per 100,000, respectively. The California lockdowns are a form of trickle-down epidemiology. In Florida, by contrast, there is little difference among races in COVID-related death rates throughout the epidemic, with the Black and Hispanic populations dying at lower rates than the White population.

While anyone can get infected, there is more than a thousandfold difference in COVID-19 mortality between the oldest and youngest. According to a report by analysts at the University of Southern California, a strategy that prioritizes the elderly for the first vaccinations would result in a 70 percent increase in the number of lives saved, even with the same number of doses distributed. From the beginning of the epidemic, mathematical epidemiologists have touted the benefits of protecting the vulnerable to reduce COVID-related deaths. While the vaccine is a scarce resource, vulnerable populations should receive it first.

Through December and January, California failed to rapidly distribute the vaccine to the elderly, who are at the highest mortality risk after infection.

Governor Newsom did not make the vaccine available to the elderly until January 13, and California ranked dead last in the country in the pace of vaccine distribution in late January. One of the authors’ 80-year old mother, who lives in LA County and does not drive, was directed to a vaccination site at Dodger Stadium, 30 miles away, for inoculation and only received her first dose during the third week of February. By contrast, Florida offered the vaccine to every single resident and staffer in the state’s nursing homes, as well as in hundreds of assisted-living facilities, by the end of January. Though California has eventually caught up, it lagged behind Florida in its vaccine rollout through the crucial early winter months.

That California and Florida have had similar COVID outcomes despite disparate policies would matter less if the lockdowns were costless.

However, this is very far from the case. The harms of the lockdowns are manifold and devastating wherever they have been implemented, including plummeting childhood vaccination, worsened cardiovascular disease outcomes, less cancer screening early in the epidemic, and deteriorating mental health, to name a few.

According to a CDC estimate, one in four young adults in the United States seriously considered suicide, as reported this past June. For children, the cessation of in-person schooling since spring 2020 has led to severe learning losses, with adverse consequences projected throughout affected students’ life spans.

On January 25, Governor Newsom lifted the statewide shelter-in-place order he had imposed on California in early December. This order returned the state to the regional color-coded lockdown regime that had been in place before the even more draconian shelter-in-place order. While this will permit some businesses to operate again, most state public schools remain closed to in-person instruction. As of March 28, California ranks last in the United States in access to in-person instruction for K–12 students. The lockdowns of varying stringency in place since March 2020 have evidently failed to protect Californians—especially poor Californians—from COVID and have inflicted enormous harm.

It is far past time to try a better strategy.

Outdoor transmission accounts for 0.1% of State’s Covid-19 cases

Just 262 cases traced to outdoor activities since pandemic began, official figures reveal

Just one confirmed case of Covid-19 in every thousand is traced to outdoor transmission, new figures reveal.

Of the 232,164 cases of Covid-19 recorded in the State up to March 24th this year, 262 were as a result of outdoor transmission, representing 0.1 per cent of the total.

There were 42 outbreaks associated with outdoor gatherings, with one community outbreak accounting for seven cases.

This involved an outdoor work activity which took place between two separate families, according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) which monitors case numbers in the Republic.

There were 21 outbreaks on construction sites with 124 cases, and 20 outbreaks associated with sporting activities and fitness in which there were 131 cases.

The HPSC data, provided in response to a query from The Irish Times, was based on “locations which are primarily associated with outdoor activities, ie outdoor sports and construction sites, or outbreaks that specifically mention in comments that an outdoor location or activity was involved”. The HSPC said, however, that it “cannot determine where transmission occurred”.

In addition 20 per cent of all cases in the State result from community transmission where the source of the infection is not known.

The relatively low numbers of cases resulting from outdoor transmission in the Republic is mirrored in international studies. A study of 1,245 cases in China found only three people were infected outdoors and they were in conversation without masks. According to a review by the University of California of five global studies of transmission, the chances of getting Covid-19 in an indoor setting is 19 times greater than outdoors.

Coronavirus Variants and Vaccines

•Premiered 4 hours ago

JAMA Network

As more people get vaccinated against COVID-19 every day in the US and with case numbers declining, many have started feeling optimistic that life could return to normal. But the spread of SARS-CoV-2 variants around the globe could threaten that possibility if they blunt the effectiveness of available vaccines. This video reviews what we know as of April 2021 about coronavirus variants and vaccines, and implications for public health going forward. Why The Silence In The Face Of COVID Tyranny?

THURSDAY, APR 08, 2021 - 11:42 AM
Authored by Daniel Boudreaux via The American Institute for Economic Research,
From the indispensable Lockdown Sceptics I learned recently of this job ad in Britain:
This is an exciting role for an experienced communications professional and offers the opportunity to work at the heart of the Department of Health. The role is a senior leadership role within the NHS Communications team and may offer the first step in developing a possible future career in a senior communication role in the Civil Service.
You will primarily be responsible for delivering a communications strategy to support the expansion of asymptomatic testing that normalises testing as part of everyday life. The role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the public and private sector and provide communi-cations [sic] support to our marketing campaigns.
Note especially the words that I’ve bolded and italicized.

Because I was alerted to this ad by Lockdown Sceptics’s collection of links to Covid-19 developments, several of which are to news items about the coming regime of vaccine passports – and also because by now humanity has been subject to more than a year of the devilment unleashed by Covid Derangement Syndrome – this ad didn’t surprise me. What did surprise me, however, is my lack of surprise.

Had I encountered this ad any time before mid-March of 2020 I would have been stunned, stupefied, staggered. The revelation that British health authorities are seeking to make the testing of asymptomatic people a normal part of everyday life – and that an effort is underway to propagandize in support of this grotesque invasion of privacy and infringement of freedom – would have sent me first to Google to ensure that this ad isn’t a hoax. Discovering, to my horror, it to be genuine, I’d have then blasted out from my keyboard a furious protest.

But encountering the ad in early April of 2021 sparks no surprise at all. Such a violation of liberty is a predictable part of what David Hart calls the “hygiene socialism” that has descended upon much of humanity over the past 13 months.
How sad. How tragic.

Reading this ad makes me ask yet again: Where are the friends of freedom now? Why do so many remain silent in the face of this monstrous battering of liberty and civilization? I truly do not understand today’s muteness of so many once-reliable and eloquent voices for freedom – voices that in the past unfailingly warned of the preposterous pretenses of government officials, as well as of these officials’ perverse incentives.

I continue to believe that it’s not my place to pass judgment on other people’s silence. But I can avoid passing judgment while nevertheless seeking to understand this silence. Here’s what I suspect – I emphasize suspect – is going on in the minds of the many libertarians, classical liberals, and free-market conservatives who are quiet on Covid tyranny.

Association with Trump
In the Spring of 2020 the mainstream media and most elite voices were already primed by their aggressive hatred of Donald Trump to lay the blame for any amount of suffering from Covid squarely on Trump.

In their minds, Trump’s failure to have the national government do even more than it did to restrict freedom in the name of fighting Covid is the major source of Covid’s spread among Americans.

The reality here doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter that the U.S. President has no constitutional power to unilaterally lock down a country in any way similar to how Boris Johnson locked down Great Britain, or how Gov. Gretchen Whitmer locked down Michigan and how many other governors locked down their states.

It doesn’t matter that Trump – foolishly, in my view – gave a prominent perch to pro-lockdowners Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx to convey out-of-context, and sometimes even intentionally false, information about the disease. It doesn’t matter that a great deal of evidence has been assembled showing that lockdowns have little or no impact on the spread of the coronavirus.

It doesn’t even matter that Trump did indeed issue a long series of truly idiotic claims about Covid. He was so despised that no matter what he did or said (short of “I resign immediately”), he was destined from the start to be cast as the villain upon whom the blame for Covid must be pinned.

Further fueling the Trump-is-to-blame narrative is the perceived association of people on the political right in general, and of Trumpians in particular, with hostility to science. This essay isn’t the place to explore the justice of this association; I here make only three summary points. First, what many people on the political left treat as settled science is, in fact, not. Second, many people on the political left are no less wont than are people on the political right to ignore science – especially, but not only, economic science – when doing so furthers their political ends. Third, what ultimately must determine how trade-offs are made is not, and cannot be, science; instead, it’s human value judgments. While public policy should be informed by science, public policy cannot possibly be determined by science. Anyone who says or suggests otherwise understands neither science nor society.

None of the above matters. What matters is only that Trump was associated, whether accurately or inaccurately, with opposition to lockdowns and other restrictions imposed in the name of combating Covid. This association is bolstered by the fact that there is more resistance to lockdowns and mandated mask-wearing in red states than in blue states.

Because Trump and the Republican party today are also assumed to be at the “unscientific” pole of American politics and ideology, the illogical conclusion is drawn that Covid lockdowns and restrictions – perceived as being anti-Trumpian – must therefore be pro-science and, hence, rational and justified.

I suspect that many of these now-curiously-silent friends of liberty genuinely believe that right-wing opposition to lockdowns and to Covid hysteria is itself sufficient proof of the worthiness of Covid lockdowns and of intense fear of Covid. Others of these friends of liberty might harbor silent doubts about the lockdowns and Covid hysteria, but are reluctant to publicly express these doubts out of fear that they’ll be perceived as being Trumpian Neanderthals.

Of course, each now-curiously-silent friend of liberty has his or her own unique set of reasons for remaining mute in the face of the ongoing appalling assault on liberty. Undoubtedly, my ‘allergic-to-anything-Trumpian’ explanation offered here doesn’t explain the silence of everyone. Some silent individuals sincerely (if, in my mind, inexplicably) do believe that Covid-19 poses such a uniquely grave threat to humanity that we have no good alternative to allowing the state to lock us down, to mask us, and to otherwise restrict our activities for as long as the state determines is necessary – no questions asked.

Some other individuals might be drawn into silence for reasons that I can’t begin to guess.

But I worry that much of the silence today of many friends of liberty is rooted in nothing more solid than the tenuous identification of lockdown opposition with Trumpism. The detestation of Trump is so intense that it overrides the common-sense understanding that, as president, Trump did not possess powers of the sort that King Canute boasted. And the desire to distance oneself from Trump and his followers is so strong that it seemingly blinds many people to the inexcusable destruction of liberty and civilization now underway.

Do not infer from the above that I’m a fan of Trump. I most certainly am not. I’ve been highly critical of him from the start. But when one weighs whatever is the quantum of tyranny that might realistically be ascribed to Trump against the quanta of tyranny that infest and fuel Covid lockdowns, mask mandates, school closures, and the Covid hysteria still being stirred up by government officials, the tyranny of the Covidocracy is far, far greater than was the tyranny of Trump.

US Colleges Push To Mandate Student Vaccinations Before Fall Semester

WEDNESDAY, APR 07, 2021 - 05:20 PM
Authored by Isabel van Brugen via The Epoch Times,

A growing number of U.S. colleges are announcing plans to mandate the vaccination of students returning to campus this fall, in line with President Joe Biden’s pledge to make all adults in the country eligible for COVID-19 jabs by early summer.

At least six colleges - Cornell University, Rutgers University, Fort Lewis College, Nova Southeastern University, St. Edward’s University, and Roger Williams College in Rhode Island - have so far said that all students would need to be vaccinated before a fall return.

Three COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States so far - Pfizer/BioNTech’s two-dose vaccine, Moderna’s two-dose vaccine, and Johnson & Johnson’s single-shot vaccine. Emergency use authorization is a faster, less rigorous process compared to full FDA approval.

Vaccines that have previously been required by U.S. colleges, for example shots for rubella or measles, had full FDA approval.

Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway said in a statement that its vaccine requirement will apply to three of the university’s main campuses—New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden. Beginning this fall, students will be required to present “proof of vaccination” before they are allowed to move into their dormitories, or attend physical classes.
“Adding COVID-19 vaccination to our student immunization requirements will help provide a safer and more robust college experience for our students,” Holloway said in the statement, noting that students may file for an exemption for religious or medical reasons.
Fort Lewis College President Tom Stritikus said in a letter that the requirement will provide “our best hope for returning to the hands-on, inclusive, experiential, and personalized learning environment that we have all come to love.”

“As such, all students enrolling at FLC for the fall 2021 semester will be required to get a COVID-19 vaccine,” Stritikus said.

Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack wrote in a letter that it plans to require students returning to Ithaca, Geneva, and Cornell Tech campuses this fall to be vaccinated against COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

The decision was made following “recent announcements of expanded vaccine eligibility in New York and other states, and increasing vaccine production,” Pollack said.

On Friday, Nova Southeastern University said in a statement that it intends to resume “full, in-person classroom learning for on-ground courses” in the fall, and that all students, faculty, and staff will need to be vaccinated.

At St. Edward’s University, all employees and students aged 16 and above will be required to be vaccinated for a return to campus this fall semester, its COVID-19 Steering Team announced (pdf). Pfizer’s vaccine is the only one with FDA authorization for use in people as young as 16.

According to The New York Times, since Jan. 1, more than 120,000 CCP virus cases have been linked to U.S. colleges and universities, with more than 100 deaths involving students and employees since the beginning of the pandemic.

The majority of those who have died have been employees, and most of the deaths occurred last year, the report states, citing case data through open records requests at public universities.

Joe Biden appeared to endorse the idea of segregating American society based on COVID vaccination records. In a video address Tuesday, Biden appeared to suggest only vaccinated Americans would be able to celebrate the Fourth of July and participate in other public events.

“So you’re able to get in the backyard with a small group of people, friends and neighbors, and celebrate Independence Day because you’ve been vaccinated,” Biden stated.
BIDEN: "Too many Americans are acting as if this fight is over. It is not… If the American people continue to do their part, mask up, practice social distancing, we could have a more normal July 4th. But this is still April, not July." pic.twitter.com/tGGlftjAnO
— Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) April 2, 2021
Biden also condemned those who reject the vaccine, stirring further concerns about their possible segregation from social life. The threat came a day after former Texas Congressman Ron Paul (R) criticized the idea Americans need to get a shot just to participate in basic society.
"Vaccine passports" must be stopped.
Accepting them means accepting the false idea that government owns your life, body and freedom. pic.twitter.com/nmlP2SN6iw
— Ron Paul (@RonPaul) April 5, 2021
Paul asserted the government has been wrong since day one, adding the mandated lockdowns amounted to an aggressive overreach of an already too-powerful federal government.

“That solidifies, you know, the whole concept that our life belongs to the government,” Paul said. “I always said the military draft and was a symbol of who owns our body, and the Internal Revenue Service, because they own everything and allow you how to spend it”

He went on to say it would also be wrong to suggest compliance with a medical procedure is the only hope of regaining basic liberty.

“Hopefully that the people finally wake up and say ‘that’s enough,'” Paul added. “I am not going to put up with a passport, you know, identifier in my body.”

Paul called on Americans to speak out against the White House’s seemingly never-ending string of coronavirus orders. He stressed how time is running out.

Biden’s CDC Director Officially Declares Racism a “Serious Public Health Threat”

By Cristina Laila
Published April 8, 2021 at 9:20pm
IMG_9593.jpg

This is Joe Biden’s America.

Biden’s CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on Thursday declared racism a “serious public health threat” and said the agency will accelerate its work to “address racism as a fundamental driver of racial and ethnic health inequities in the United States.”

Walesnky said the Covid-19 pandemic “illuminated inequities that have existed for generations and revealed for all of America a known, but often unaddressed, epidemic impacting public health: racism.”

The CDC chief said: “What we know is this: racism is a serious public health threat that directly affects the well-being of millions of Americans. As a result, it affects the health of our entire nation. Racism is not just the discrimination against one group based on the color of their skin or their race or ethnicity, but the structural barriers that impact racial and ethnic groups differently to influence where a person lives, where they work, where their children play, and where they worship and gather in community. These social determinants of health have life-long negative effects on the mental and physical health of individuals in communities of color.”

Walensky highlighted 4 actions the CDC will be taking to fight racism:
  • We will continue to study the impact of social determinants on health outcomes, expand the body of evidence on how racism affects health, and propose and implement solutions to address this.
  • With COVID-19 funding, we are making new and expanded investments in racial and ethnic minority communities and other disproportionately affected communities around the country, establishing a durable infrastructure that will provide the foundation and resources to address disparities related to COVID-19 and other health conditions.
  • We are expanding our internal agency efforts to foster greater diversity and create an inclusive and affirming environment for all.
  • We are launching our new web portal “Racism and Health” as part of our ongoing commitment to serve as a catalyst for public and scientific discourse around racism and health, and to be accountable for our progress.

'Big Brother' Mandates Brits At Pubs Register On Government Tracking App, Hand Over Phones

FRIDAY, APR 09, 2021 - 09:09 AM
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

According to a report in the London Telegraph, anyone wishing to drink in a pub garden in Britain from Monday (only the outside areas will open) will be forced to hand over their phone to venue staff who must check the individual is registered on the government’s tracking app.

Venues will face fines of £1000 if they are found to be admitting people who have not registered on the NHS Test and Trace app with all their personal details and then scanned a QR code on entry to the outdoor portion of the venue.

The official government guidance notes “should someone choose to check in with the official NHS QR code poster, a venue should check their phone screen to ensure they have successfully checked in”.

The word ‘choose’ is odd because the guidance makes clear that it is mandatory for everyone to individually register on the app, or fill in a paper form.

There is no ‘choice’ in the matter.

Pubs have also been told to refuse entry to anyone they believe has given false details.

As we have previously highlighted, the much maligned ‘test and trace’ app is completely voluntary and authorities have no grounds to enforce its adoption legally. This is yet another example of how bureaucratic control freaks are simply inventing laws and justifying intimidation by means of coronavirus hysteria.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson ‘rewarded’ Brits recently by announcing that coming vaccine passports would not be required to enter pubs, however this policy directly undermines that and is essentially a small step away from being the exact same thing.

As we have previously noted, the vaccine passports are set to be integrated with the test and trace app via a QR code system. That has been the plan all along. Further dystopian systems, including biometric face scanning, are also being touted.

Responding to the latest developments, Madeleine Stone of privacy advocacy group Big Brother Watch, told The Telegraph: “Requiring every single person who enters a cafe or pub to show their phone screen and hand over their personal details poses a serious risk to privacy and data rights and is based on exclusion, criminal sanctions and police enforcement.”

“Businesses won’t be able to comply with this draconian new diktat as well as data protection law, which is why we’ve sent legal letters to the Department of Health and Information Commissioner’s Office as to whether these intrusive requirements are safe and lawful,” Stone added.

Venue owners have also expressed dismay at the guidance, expressing concern that it is unenforceable and will leave already stretched staff vulnerable to abuse from angry punters who don’t want to be tracked by the government just to have a pint of beer.

Talk is cheap
Sure, sneeze on them, too, while you hand them your germy phone! Don't allow them to disinfect it!

Fights are going to break out. This is all illegal. Staff at the pubs should NOT have to do this. They have no jurisdiction. The globalists are hoping addicts and alcoholics will comply.

Praying against staff at the pubs, med staff, etc. aka cogs in the wheel helping the evil agenda along, but instead all of us sheep including the cogs in the wheel to say no to all of this, we will not comply with this global gulag and not be fooled by "COVID" and "variants!"

Wake up, people!

Compulsory Vaccination Is “A Necessary Measure in a Democratic Society,” the EU Court Rules

by Veronika Kyrylenko April 9, 2021

Compulsory Vaccination Is “A Necessary Measure in a Democratic Society,” the EU Court Rules
Zerbor/iStock/Getty Images Plus

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has backed the Czech Republic in its requirement for mandatory preschool vaccinations. In the ruling on Vavřička and Others v. the Czech Republic, the court determined that legally enforced vaccinations are a necessary measure in a democratic society and are in the “best interests” of everyone.

In what started as a relatively routine case, Czech citizen Pavel Vavřička challenged his country’s vaccine requirement for young children, after being fined for refusing to have his son and daughter vaccinated against tetanus, Hepatitis B, and polio. Vavřička claims the law infringed on his family’s right to a private life. Five other families filed similar suits after their children were denied admission to preschools or nurseries as a result of not getting the required vaccines.

The court, however, decided that the refusal of the local childcare institutions to admit unvaccinated children was not a violation of the right to a private life.

Indeed, Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which concerns the right to a private life, specifies, “There shall be no interference by a public authority with the exercise of this right except such as is in accordance with the law and is necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security, public safety, or the economic well-being of the country” (which is, of course, paradoxical and undermines the whole idea of privacy). In this spirit, the court admitted that even though compulsory vaccination places a certain burden on an individual, societal benefits outweigh that concern.

Calling vaccines “one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions” known to medicine, the ECHR remarked that the dynamics of herd immunity make it important to achieve a high rate of vaccination. The inability of some children to be vaccinated for medical reasons, the court said, makes it more important to reach “a very high vaccination rate” to protect against contagious diseases.

The ruling specifies that “immunization is a core component of the human right to health and an individual, community and governmental responsibility.”

This ruling is at least eyebrow-raising, since one of the “key aspects” of the right to health, as specified by the World Health Organization (WHO), is health “freedoms,” such as “the right to be free from non-consensual medical treatment.”

Immunization is not mentioned as a “core component” of the right to health, yet the WHO claims that it is states’ responsibility to ensure the provision of healthcare, including immunization programs.

The WHO also notes that “the right to health also means that everyone should be entitled to control their own health and body,” and that’s the reason for the organization’s promoting of “people-centered care.” The right of every person to refuse medical treatment is considered one of the most fundamental rights concerning bodily autonomy and our essential nature itself. Moreover, it is easy to point to examples, both historical, dystopian, and ongoing, of why the right to refuse medicine is so important.

In the best Orwellian tradition, the European Court of Human Rights produced a government right, entitling government with a right to control human health and the human body in the name of the “best interests of society.”

Although the case specifically focused on child vaccinations and was brought to the court before the coronavirus outbreak, the ruling could have wider implications on the ability of European states to vaccinate their populations against COVID-19. Though until now there has been little suggestion in most countries that COVID vaccines will be mandatory, recent rollouts of “coronavirus passports” make clear that governments are headed in that direction.

The European Commission has proposed allowing people to travel freely throughout the Schengen zone, which is now practically under lockdown, if they have vaccine passports — digital proof that one has been vaccinated against COVID-19, received a recent negative COVID test result, or recovered from the virus.

These passports would allow people to attend large events, including cultural gatherings, sporting events, and entertainment venues. Rollout trials are set to begin soon in the U.K. Moreover, Denmark, Sweden, and Estonia are in the process of implementing similar passports, as well. Spain and Greece, whose tourism-dependent economies desperately need a robust summer travel season, are considering opening up travel to U.K. and Israeli to citizens who can prove their vaccination status.

Countries such as France and Germany, however, are voicing concerns over the passports in regard to their discriminatory nature. Belgium’s acting foreign minister Sophie Wilmès tweeted that while the idea of a standardized European vaccine verification system was a good one, there should be “no question of linking vaccination to the freedom of movement around Europe,” and that “the principle of non-discrimination is more fundamental than ever since vaccination is not compulsory and access to the vaccine is not yet generalized.”
The idea of a standardized European system that allows each individual to gather pieces of information about one’s vaccination, COVID-tests, etc. on a single digital document (certificate) is a good one. However… https://t.co/oyd68kQhwF
— Sophie Wilmès (@Sophie_Wilmes) March 1, 2021
There is definitely something rotten in the states of Europe, which once presented the world with ideas of “natural” human rights, such as freedom, life, and private property. Those rights, as was once believed, are not dependent on the laws, customs, or beliefs of any particular culture or government, and are therefore universal and inalienable, meaning they cannot be repealed or restrained by laws. Thus, individuals make a “social contract” to establish government that protects their natural rights; at least these ideas have been at heart of dominant moral and political theories and practices throughout modern Western history, until recently.

Today, the European shift toward authoritarianism and unapologetic restriction of natural human rights no doubt makes John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau spin in their graves.

[COMMENT: I once read in a law text book, a passage that explained the difference between European socialism (France) and the U.S. The French surrendered their individual rights to civil society based on the "common good." In return, they received superior Civil Rights.

In the U.S., the individual, as part of the People, delegated authorities in a written document to a government of their own design. The document specified the limited areas where the government had authority to regulate behavior. The individual retained his personal liberty in all other areas. Some of these were specifically spelled out in the Bill of Rights where it specifies the government "shall pass no law." (It is like a limited power of attorney.)

The increasing claim is that a declared emergency (such as a pandemic) can be used to supersede the limits of the Constitution. If so, how long can an emergency be used to do so.

There is also a Supreme Court case on forced small pox vaccinations based on the state's retained "police powers" to protect general public health, safety and morals from substantial injury or harm.

HENNING JACOBSON, Plff. in Err., v. COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
197 U.S. 11 (1905)

HENNING JACOBSON, Plff. in Err., v. COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.

"The authority of the state to enact this statute is to be referred to what is commonly called the police power,—a power which the state did not surrender when becoming a member of the Union under the Constitution. Although this court has refrained frained from any attempt to define the limits of that power, yet it has distinctly recognized the authority of a state to enact quarantine laws and 'health laws of every description;' indeed, all laws that relate to matters completely within its territory and which do not by their necessary operation affect the people of other states. According to settled principles, the police power of a state must be held to embrace, at least, such reasonable regulations established directly by legislative enactment as will protect the public health and the public safety. Gibbons v. Ogden, 9 Wheat. 1, 203, 6 L. ed. 23, 71; Hannibal & St. J. R. Co. v. Husen, 95 U. S. 465, 470, 24 L. ed. 527, 530; Boston Beer Co. v. Massachusetts, 97 U. S. 25, 24 L. ed. 989;New Orleans Gaslight Co. v. Louisiana Light & H. P. & Mfg. Co. 115 U. S. 650, 661, 29 L. ed. 516, 520, 6 Sup. Ct. Rep. 252; Lawson v. Stecle, 152 U. S. 133, 38 L. ed. 385, 14 Sup. Ct. Rep. 499. It is equally true that the state may invest local bodies called into existence for purposes of local administration with authority in some appropriate way to safeguard the public health and the public safety. The mode or manner in which those results are to be accomplished is within the discretion of the state, subject, of course, so far as Federal power is concerned, only to the condition that no rule prescribed by a state, nor any regulation adopted by a local governmental agency acting under the sanction of state legislation, shall contravene the Constitution of the United States, nor infringe any right granted or secured by that instrument. A local enactment or regulation, even if based on the acknowledged police powers of a state, must always yield in case of conflict with the exercise by the general government of any power it possesses under the Constitution, or with any right which that instrument gives or secures. Gibbons v. Ogden, 9 Wheat. 1, 210, 6 L. ed. 23, 73; Sinnot v. Davenport, 22 How. 227, 243, 16 L. ed. 243, 247; Missouri, K. & T. R. Co. v. Haber, 169 U. S. 613, 626, 42 L. ed. 878, 882, 18 Sup. Ct. Rep. 488.

"We come, then, to inquire whether any right given or secured by the Constitution is invaded by the statute as interpreted by the state court. The defendant insists that his liberty is invaded when the state subjects him to fine or imprisonment for neglecting or refusing to submit to vaccination; that a compulsory vaccination law is unreasonable, arbitrary, and oppressive, and, therefore, hostile to the inherent right of every freeman to care for his own body and health in such way as to him seems best; and that the execution of such a law against one who objects to vaccination, no matter for what reason, is nothing short of an assault upon his person. But the liberty secured by the Constitution of the United States to every person within its jurisdiction does not import an absolute right in each person to be, at all times and in all circumstances, wholly freed from restraint. There are manifold restraints to which every person is necessarily subject for the common good. On any other basis organized society could not exist with safety to its members. Society based on the rule that each one is a law unto himself would soon be confronted with disorder and anarchy. Real liberty for all could not exist under the operation of a principle which recognizes the right of each individual person to use his own, whether in respect of his person or his property, regardless of the injury that may be done to others. This court has more than once recognized it as a fundamental principle that 'persons and property are subjected to all kinds of restraints and burdens in order to secure the general comfort, health, and prosperity of the state; of the perfect right of the legislature to do which no question ever was, or upon acknowledged general principles ever can be, made, so far as natural persons are concerned.' Hannibal & St. J. R. Co. v. Husen, 95 U. S. 465, 471, 24 L. ed. 527, 530; Missouri, K. & T. R. Co. v. Haber, 169 U. S. 613, 628, 629, 42 L. ed. 878-883, 18 Sup. Ct. Rep. 488; Thorpe v. Rutland & B. R. Co. 27 Vt. 148, 62 Am. Dec. 625. In Crowley v. Christensen, 137 U. S. 86, 89, 34 L. ed. 620, 621, 11 Sup. Ct. Rep. 13, we said: 'The possession and enjoyment of all rights are subject to such reasonable conditions as may be deemed by the governing authority of the country essential to the safety, health, peace, good order, and morals of the community. Even liberty itself, the greatest of all rights, is not unrestricted license to act according to one's own will. It is only freedom from restraint under conditions essential to the equal enjoyment of the same right by others. It is, then, liberty regulated by law.' In the Constitution of Massachusetts adopted in 1780 it was laid down as a fundamental principle of the social compact that the whole people covenants with each citizen, and each citizen with the whole people, that all shall be governed by certain laws for 'the common good,' and that government is instituted 'for the common good, for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people, and not for the profit, honor, or private interests of any one man, family, or class of men.' The good and welfare of the commonwealth, of which the legislature is primarily the judge, is the basis on which the police power rests in Massachusetts. Com. v. Alger, 7 Cush. 84."
