More Than Half Of US Companies To Impose Vaccine Mandates, New Survey Finds

WEDNESDAY, SEP 22, 2021 - 01:20 PM
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

A survey conducted by risk management and advisory company Willis Towers Watson has found that more than half of U.S. companies expect to impose COVID vaccine mandates on their employees by the end of the year.

The survey of 1000 companies, employing close to 10 million people, found that 52 percent of employers are planning some form of vaccine mandate for workers.

The figure would be a massive increase on the 21 percent of employers who currently have mandates in place.

The survey also found that almost one-third of employers say they are planning to make full vaccination a requirement to enter the workplace building.

A further 21 percent said could make vaccination a requirement for any new hires, the literal enacting of a ‘no jab, no job’ policy.

The survey also noted that 59 percent of employers are already tracking workers’ vaccination status, with a further 19 percent planning to do so by the end of the year.

Of those already tracking vaccination status, 62 percent require workers to submit proof of vaccination.

The survey also found that “Eight in 10 respondents (80%) require employees to wear masks indoors at any location. Another 13% are planning or considering doing so.”

Willis Towers Watson’s population health leader Dr Jeff Levin-Sherz commented that “We expect even more employers to institute vaccine mandates in the wake of FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine.”
“We have reached a point in the pandemic where employers that have worked hard to make it easy for employees to get vaccinated are also considering approaches to make it more difficult for employees to remain unvaccinated,” Levin-Scherz added.
As we noted last week, a Quinnipiac poll has found that almost half of Americans (48%) believe that Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates “go too far,” and that a slight majority are in opposition to it.

The latest findings, however, highlight that the government doesn’t even need to be involved for vaccine mandates to become the norm.

It remains to be seen whether resistance will form among private sector workers, as it has among first responders and the military.

Study: Pfizer Vaccine Increases Myocarditis Threefold

by Dr. Joseph Mercola
September 22, 2021

Study_ Pfizer Vaccine Increases Myocarditis Threefold

Editor’s Commentary: Here’s a quick warning. This story has been censored heavily on social media, much more so than other vaccine warning articles. After reading through it a second time, I’m not actually sure why. There have been other stories with harder-hitting condemnations of the vaccines that Big Tech hasn’t targeted as heavily. Perhaps this one strikes a little closer to home.

If you’re taking flak, you’re over the target.

I don’t want to dissuade anyone from sharing this story on the various social platforms. The warning is to let you know that if you value the sanctity of your account, you may want to pass sharing it. DEFINITELY read it and share through safer means, but Facebook slapped a warning on it almost immediately and apparently suspended someone for sharing it in a large group. To me, I share what I want to share. If they ban me, they ban me. It wouldn’t be the first time. With that said, here’s Dr. Joseph Mercola…

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • A large study from Israel revealed that the Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA jab is associated with a threefold increased risk of myocarditis, leading to the condition at a rate of one to five events per 100,000 persons
  • Other elevated risks were also identified following the COVID jab, including lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes), appendicitis and herpes zoster infection
  • When myocarditis occurs, it reduces your heart’s ability to pump and can cause rapid or abnormal heart rhythms that can be deadly
  • In severe cases, myocarditis can cause permanent damage to the heart muscle and lead to heart failure, heart attack, stroke and sudden cardiac death; in August 2021, New Zealand reported the death of a woman following Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab, which they believe was due to vaccine-induced myocarditis
  • Due to the risk of myocarditis, Britain’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) recommended against COVID-9 injections for healthy 12- to 15-year-olds
As the mass administration of COVID-19 jabs continue worldwide, we’re beginning to see some of the more common side effects emerging. Myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, is among them. This condition can cause symptoms similar to a heart attack, including chest pain, shortness of breath, abnormal heartbeat and fatigue.1

A large study from Israel2 revealed that the Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA jab is associated with a threefold increased risk of myocarditis,3 leading to the condition at a rate of one to five excess events per 100,000 persons.4 Other elevated risks were also identified following the COVID jab, including lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes), appendicitis and herpes zoster infection.5

Pfizer COVID Jab Poses Risk to the Heart
The real-world case-control study from Israel included a mean of 884,828 people aged 16 years and older in each of two groups: one vaccinated and one control.6 The increased risk of myocarditis was clear, with researchers noting:7

“The risk appears to be highest among young men. We found that the risk of myocarditis increased by a factor of three after vaccination, which translated to approximately 3 excess events per 100,000 persons; the 95% confidence interval indicated that values between 1 and 5 excess events per 100,000 persons were compatible with our data.

Among the 21 persons with myocarditis in the vaccinated group, the median age was 25 years (interquartile range, 20 to 34), and 90.9% were male.”

When myocarditis occurs, it reduces your heart’s ability to pump and can cause rapid or abnormal heart rhythms that can be deadly. In severe cases, myocarditis can cause permanent damage to the heart muscle and lead to heart failure, heart attack, stroke and sudden cardiac death.8 In August 2021, New Zealand reported the death of a woman following Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab, which they believe was due to vaccine-induced myocarditis.9

The death prompted the Ministry of Health to issue a statement to ensure “health care professionals and consumers remain vigilant and are aware of the signs of myocarditis and pericarditis” following the jab.10

A number of studies have now found a connection between COVID-19 jabs and myocarditis. In a September-October 2021 case report with literature review, it was concluded that “the outcomes of this case scenario confirm myocarditis as a probable complication of COVID-19 vaccines.”11 Another study from Israel detailed myocarditis following Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab in six male patients with a median age of 23 years.12

A similar study published in Pediatrics13 reported seven cases of acute myocarditis or myopericarditis in otherwise healthy adolescent males. Each had experienced chest pain within four days of receiving the second dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab. Data published in JAMA Cardiology14 by physicians from the Navy, Army and Air Force also revealed a higher-than-expected rate of myocarditis in U.S. military personnel who received a COVID-19 jab.

Dr. Charles Hoffe, a family physician from Lytton, British Columbia, told health officials that his patients were suffering adverse effects from the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, including myocarditis.15 About his young, male patients, Hoffe explained, “They have permanently damaged hearts.”:16

“It doesn’t matter how mild it is, they will not be able to do what they used to do because heart muscle doesn’t regenerate. The long-term outlook is very grim, and with each successive shot, it will add more damage. The damage is cumulative because you’re progressively getting more damaged capillaries.”

Officials Advise Against Vaccination of 12- to 15-Year-Olds
Due to the risk of myocarditis, Britain’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) recommended against COVID-9 injections for healthy 12- to 15-year-olds. JCVI member Adam Finn told Reuters:17

“… the number of serious cases that we see of COVID in children this age are really very small. There are uncertainties about the long-term implications of (myocarditis), and that makes the risk-benefit balance for these children really quite tight and much tighter than we would be comfortable to make the recommendation.”

In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is also investigating myocarditis and pericarditis, which is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart, following mRNA COVID-19 jabs, stating that more than 1,000 cases have been reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) since April 2021.18 According to the CDC:19

“As of August 25, 2021, VAERS has received 1,377 reports of myocarditis or pericarditis among people ages 30 and younger who received COVID-19 vaccine …

Most cases have been reported after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), particularly in male adolescents and young adults. Through follow-up, including medical record reviews, CDC and FDA have confirmed 798 reports of myocarditis or pericarditis. CDC and its partners are investigating these reports to assess whether there is a relationship to COVID-19 vaccination.”

Despite the risk, the CDC is still advising children aged 12 and older to get the jab, and August 23, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted full approval to Pfizer’s COVID-19 mRNA injection, now sold under the brand name Comirnaty, for people aged 16 and older.20

FDA Lists Myocarditis on Jab’s Prescribing Information
The injection’s approval represents the fastest approval in history,21 granted less than four months after Pfizer filed for licensing May 7, 2021.22 It’s also based on only up to six months’ worth of data from 44,060 people aged 16 and older.23,24 Half of them got the shots and half initially received a placebo.

However, in the second week of December 2020, Pfizer unblinded the control group and 93% of controls opted to get the real injection rather than remain in the control group for the remainder of the trial, which is slated to continue for another two years. In their prescribing information, the risk of heart inflammation is acknowledged. As reported by STAT News:25

“The FDA’s prescribing information for the vaccine includes its associated risk of myocarditis and pericarditis, two types of heart inflammation that have appeared rarely among people who’ve received the mRNA vaccines, mostly within seven days after the second shot, health officials said.
Men under 40 appear to be at higher risk than women and older men, with the highest observed risk in boys age 12 to 17.”

Further, in its approval letter for Comirnaty, the FDA orders Pfizer to conduct research to investigate the risk of inflammation in and around the heart, as voluntary reporting mechanisms are insufficient.26

The FDA accepted Pfizer’s suggested timetable for the post-approval study to evaluate incidence of heart and heart sack inflammation, which includes the submission of an interim report at the end of October 2023, a study completion date of June 30, 2025, and submission of a final report October 31, 2025.

Spike Protein in the Jab Is Inflammatory
Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA and DNA vaccine core platform technology,27 has been bravely warning of the dangers of COVID-19 jabs, in part due to the spike protein they contain.

In its native form in SARS-CoV-2, the spike protein is responsible for the pathologies of the viral infection, and in its wild form it’s known to open the blood-brain barrier, cause cell damage (cytotoxicity) and, Malone said, “is active in manipulating the biology of the cells that coat the inside of your blood vessels — vascular endothelial cells, in part through its interaction with ACE2, which controls contraction in the blood vessels, blood pressure and other things.”28

Malone is well aware of the actions of spike protein, as he worked to identify an effective drug that worked by blocking the action of the COX-2 enzyme, which is a key inflammatory enzyme. In one of his papers, he laid out how the spike protein and another protein in the virus directly turn on COX-2 promoter in infected cells.

This awareness of the spike protein as a biologically active protein made him alert the FDA in fall 2020 about the associated risks. His FDA colleagues transferred his concerns to the FDA’s review branch, which dismissed his concerns, saying they did not believe the spike protein was biologically active and there wasn’t enough documentation otherwise. As history now reveals, they proceeded with the EUA.

It’s since been revealed, however, that the spike protein on its own is enough to cause inflammation and damage to the vascular system, even independent of a virus.29 Blood clots are another serious concern related to the spike protein. According to Hoffe:30

“[It] becomes part of the cell wall of your vascular endothelium, which means that these cells, which line your blood vessels, which are supposed to be smooth so that your blood flows smoothly now have these little spiky bits sticking out.

So it is absolutely inevitable that blood clots will form, because your blood platelets circulate around in your vessels and the purpose of blood platelets is to detect a damaged vessel and block that damage when it starts bleeding.

So when a platelet comes through a capillary and suddenly hits all these covid spikes that are jutting into the inside vessel … blood clots will form to block that vessel. That’s how platelets work.”

Hoffe has been conducting the D-dimer test on his patients within four to seven days of them receiving a COVID-19 injection and found that 62% have evidence of clotting.31

Because of the risk of the formation of blood clots in your vessels, Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi,32 a retired professor, microbiologist and infectious disease and immunology specialist who, along with several other doctors and scientists, formed Doctors for COVID Ethics, went so far as to say that giving the COVID-19 injection to children is a crime: “Do not give it to children because they have absolutely no possibility to defend themselves, if you give it to your child you are committing a crime.”

As mentioned, due to myocarditis risks in youth, Great Britain’s JCVI is also taking a precautionary approach for COVID-19 injections among 12- to 15-year-olds. Wei Shen Lim, COVID-19 chair for JCVI, stated, “The margin of benefit is considered too small to support universal Covid-19 vaccination for this age group at this time.”33

Pro-vaxxers insist on limits on beliefs of those seeking religious exemptions

'Myth' of fetal cell use in vaccine work cited

By Mary Margaret Olohan

Columbia University’s Robert Klitzman shared a tragic story with CNN Saturday of a woman riddled with cancer who reportedly refused to undergo medical procedures, relied on the power of prayer, and ultimately died.

“Her religious belief contributed to her death, unfortunately,” he said.

Klitzman, who directs Columbia’s bioethics masters program, stressed that employees should not be able to easily obtain religious exemptions from President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates, pointing to the extreme beliefs of jihadists and noting, “there are limits in our society to how far religious beliefs can go.”

He also suggested that the Biden administration should create “guidelines” to decide whether Americans’ religious objections measure up.

“The problem is a lot of religious exemptions that people are claiming…are based on myths,” he said. “People saying, for instance, ‘all vaccines are made using fetal cells, and I’m pro-life.’ That’s simply not true.”

A Biden administration official told the Daily Caller News Foundation Tuesday afternoon that protecting religious Americans “will be part of the policy process,” but did not further explain the remark. From the briefing room, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that some individuals may receive religious exemptions from the Biden mandate.

But pressure from activists and mandate-minded lawmakers suggests that the religious objections of Americans may face more serious inquisition in the coming weeks.

“How much can we ask? How far can we push? Do we have to accommodate this? Those are the questions employers are trying to figure out,” Society for Human Resource Management adviser Barbara Holland told the New York Times. “How do I tease out who’s not telling the truth?”

Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul told reporters in early September that she was unaware “of a sanctioned religious exemption from any organized religion,” dismissing the idea that healthcare workers could be religiously exempt from the state’s vaccine mandate.

“To the extent that there’s leadership of different religious organizations that have spoken, and they have, I’m not aware of a sanctioned religious exemption from any organized religion,” Hochul said. “In fact, they’re encouraging the opposite. They’re encouraging their members, everybody from the Pope on down, is encouraging people to get vaccinated. So people will say what they choose.”

But neither the governor of New York nor or any employer has the authority to tell an individual what he or she believes, Ethics and Public Policy Center senior fellow Roger Severino told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Should an employer rebut the religious objection of a Catholic employee by noting that the pope had encouraged Catholics to get vaccinated, Severino told the DCNF, that would amount to religious discrimination.

“For employers to say, ‘you are wrong’ about your own beliefs is a) arrogant and b) discriminatory because people are entitled to their own religious beliefs,” Severino said. “Even if they disagree with their own religious leaders.”

Many thousands of Americans are seeking religious exemptions to vaccine mandates, citing reports that some of the vaccines were developed using aborted fetal cell lines. Objectors also cite concerns over the haste with which the vaccines were made, anxieties over the vaccines’ effects on fertility, and distaste for the authoritarian government mandates.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, U.S. employers are required to accommodate their employee’s “sincerely held” religious beliefs — including potential religious objections to a vaccine.

“Public institutions should not act like inquisitorial boards, quizzing people’s religious beliefs and trying to find holes because somebody has a different view of things,” said Severino, who is the former director of the Office of Civil Rights at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). “If separation of church and state means anything, it means that state institutions don’t second guess to try to resolve religious truths.”

Workplace Religious Accommodations: What Are They?

There is longstanding legal precedent for workplace religious accommodations to be taken as sincere, Religious Freedom & Business Foundation President Brian Grim told the DCNF.

“They are viewed as personal religious convictions rather than ecclesiastical, in other words, matters of conscience rather than doctrine per se, given that there is wide variety in how people put to practice their faiths,” Grim said. “The question then becomes whether the accommodation request puts an undue burden on the employer, who is also protected by law and responsible for the health and well-being of all employees.”

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance warns that “whether or not a religious belief is sincerely held by an applicant or employee is rarely at issue in many types of Title VII religious claims.

“For example,” the guidance said, “with respect to an allegation of discriminatory discharge or harassment, it is the motivation of the discriminating official, not the actual beliefs of the individual alleging discrimination, that is relevant in determining if the discrimination that occurred was because of religion.”

Neither the commission nor the courts should “be in the business of deciding whether a person holds religious beliefs for the ‘proper’ reasons,” the guidance said, but they may examine whether the individual’s motives or reasons for holding the belief.

An individual would not be deemed insincere in his belief just because he is not scrupulous in his observance, the guidance notes, but an employee’s credibility could be undermined by behaving “in a manner markedly inconsistent with the professed belief,” if the accommodation the individual is seeking would have a “particularly desirable benefit that is likely to be sought for secular reasons,” if the timing of the religious objection is suspect, or the employer has other reasons to believe the “accommodation is not sought for religious reasons.”

None of these factors are final, however: an individual may inconsistently practice his faith but still hold sincerely held beliefs, or an individual may have “Forgone his or her sincerely held religious practice” out of fear of discrimination, according to the EEOC guidance.

How Far Can The Biden Administration Go?

Legal experts at the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) are evaluating what the Biden administration mandates mean for religious employers and churches.

“Should these mandates encroach on the First Amendment freedoms and autonomy of religious institutions, ADF stands ready to challenge the administration in federal court,” ADF President and CEO Michael Farris and General Counsel Kristen Waggoner said in a statement.
Some have already taken the mandates to court.

In early September, a group of 17 health professionals represented by the Thomas More Society sued New York and Hochul, accusing the state of violating Title VII and Constitutional rights through its vaccination mandate and by disavowing religious exemptions.

The United States District Court for the Northern District of New York granted a temporary restraining order to the medical workers Sept. 14, barring the New York Department of Health “from interfering in any way with the granting of religious exemptions from COVID-19 vaccination going forward.”

Hochul, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the DCNF, has until Sept. 22 to respond in court.

“What New York is attempting to do is slam shut an escape hatch from an unconstitutional vaccine mandate,” Thomas More Society Special Counsel attorney Christopher Ferrara said in a Sept. 14 statement. “And they are doing this while knowing that many people have sincere religious objections to vaccines that were tested, developed, or produced with cell lines derived from aborted children.”

Vaccines And Abortion-Derived Cell Lines

Analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) released in December 2020 found that the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson use abortion-derived cell lines in development, production, and lab testing.

Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Novavax, and Inovio use abortion-derived cells in some tests but do not use abortion-derived cells in other tests, the analysis found, but these four do not use abortion-derived cell lines in development or production of the vaccine.

CLI Vice President Dr. David Prentice previously told the DCNF that when abortion-derived cell lines are used in the production of a vaccine, that means the cells are “directly involved in making the final product, the vaccine that is injected in our arms.”

“It is an essential element for the final vaccine,” Prentice said. “Although the connection is distant both in time and space, since the abortion occurred decades ago and the cells have been grown in the lab ever since, that connection to abortion remains and is of concern to many Americans. ”

Laboratory testing using abortion-derived cell lines is potentially less morally problematic, since it is “anther step removed” Prentice said.

“When an abortion-derived cell line is used in laboratory testing, that is not done within the production line,” he explained. “It’s a confirmatory test done on the final vaccine, to validate what the scientists believe they’ve produced.”

Well, you obviously knew it wasn’t going to stop with the dangerous injections being called “Covid-19 vaccines”, no matter how many boosters they try to push out. They say the mRNA technology in these shots could be used to create vaccines for diseases that never had them before. Diseases like cancer, HIV, you name it. And once those vaccines exist, mandates are sure to come in their wake, even though we’re still finding out new things almost every day about this deadly concoction that they’re still trying to force into every arm they can find, willing or unwilling.

A German IT project manager, who wishes to remain anonymous, has spent months creating an extensive and unique network document.

For the first time, it shows you the complex network of relationships between non-governmental organizations (NGOs), companies, documents, and people.

There are 6,500 objects and over 7,200 links, including the financial flows, and in parts also the amounts that have flowed. Only publicly available sources were used in the analysis.

In the case of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, you can already see on page 4 of the document that this foundation spent around 43 billion dollars in the period from 1994 to 2021 in the USA alone and distributed around half a billion in funds in Germany during this period.

The dossier is 170 pages long.

First, you will get some general information about people from government agencies, companies, and non-governmental organizations, as well as some important events or groups. Further on in this document, you will find a link analysis of these “stakeholders”.

Description from another site: A German IT engineer has produced a 170 page document exposing the “COVID network”, referred to as “public-private partnerships” by the United Nations, World Economic Forum, etc. In layman’s terms, this is the global technocracy.

The document exposes the insane level of corruption and connectivity behind the COVID psyop and how it was possible for elites to fool the entire planet. It includes data on WHO (United Nations), European Union, Bill Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Facebook, Google, DARPA, the CDC, and many more.

(Since the document is 170 pages long, the pdf does take some time to load. It is in English.)

Fauci Effect: Philippine Local Official Proposes Vaccine Cards To Be Worn Like IDs in Public – May Happen in the US

By Jim Hoft

Manila, Philippines – Aside from being the only country in the world that makes wearing face shields and face masks mandatory in public, an official of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is now suggesting that vaccination cards should be worn like IDs.

This proposal will require all vaccinated people to wear their vaccination cards like IDs when going outside so it will be easy to determine who’s vaccinated and who’s not.

Philstar reported:
Interior Undersecretary for Barangay(Neighborhood) Affairs Martin Diño made the suggestion at Wednesday’s briefing as he presented his own vaccination card being worn with a lanyard and an ID case.

“This will hopefully be a sacrifice from all vaccinated Filipinos: If you are already vaccinated, once you go out your home, wear your vaccination card,” he said in mixed Filipino and English.

“How will you know someone is not vaccinated if they are not wearing their vaccination card? When you leave the house you won’t be bothered by the police or the neighborhood watchmen anymore, they won’t ask you where your vaccination card is if you’re wearing it on your chest.”
This resulted in mixed reactions from Filipinos. Some social media users thought it’s an absurd concept and a violation of their constitutional rights.

Here are some of the screenshots:

“Yet another way to create division within the Filipino people. Well done. Lemme preemptively hit you lot. People will forge, people will discriminate against those who are unvaccinated.”

Sharon Nachman, the chief of the division of pediatric infectious diseases at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, is encouraging the Americans to keep their vaccination card in a plastic sleeve or another type of holder instead of laminating it.

NBC reported:

Nachman said laminating the card makes it impossible to add any new information in the future, like additional doses — U.S. health officials recently announced a plan to offer Covid booster shots to all Americans starting in late September.

Instead of laminating your vaccination card, Nachman recommends keeping it in a plastic sleeve or another type of holder.

Based on this guidance, we[NBC] rounded up vaccination card holders that will protect your card against damage and help you keep track of it. Some holders allow you to attach a lanyard and wear it around your neck, while others feature playful designs and sayings.

US Soldiers Are Required to Complete an Intrusive Questionnaire Describing Their Religious Beliefs and Activities As Requirement for Not Taking the Jab Per Religion

The US Military is requiring soldiers who are requesting a religious exemption from taking the COVID vaccine to fill out a two-page invasive questionnaire describing their religious activities and beliefs.

The US Army is requesting all soldiers who want a religious exemption for the COVID shot to complete a two page document describing their religious beliefs. The Army is basically wanting soldiers to prove that they’re religious enough to get the exemption.

One soldier stationed at a US location is a career NCO in a leadership position and he has been told he will be out in four months if he doesn’t get the shot.

Below is the questionnaire that is being used. It is hard to believe that our military is asking the questions in this form. The answers to these questions are none of their business. This is another effort to destroy our freedom. This time it is our men and women in uniform who are the targets.

STUNNING: AMA Is Teaching Doctors How to Manipulate Information in Order to Coerce the Unvaccinated

By Jim Hoft
Published September 23, 2021 at 1:56pm

The American Medical Association (AMA) recently released its Winter 2021 “AMA COVID-19 Guide: Background/Messaging on Vaccines, Vaccine Clinical Trials & Combatting Vaccine Misinformation.”

The AMA guide is the latest attempt by the medical community elites to deceive the public and disguise the truth of the vaccines and the 14,925 reported deaths and over 1.5 million reports of adverse events following the COVID vaccination.

covid-deaths-sept-9-vaers-1.jpg

The number of deaths linked to the CDC-promoted vaccines this year has absolutely skyrocketed, according to the CDC’s own data.

The VAERS database contains information on unverified reports of adverse events (illnesses, health problems and/or symptoms) following immunization with US-licensed vaccines. The CDC government website links to VAERS platform.

To counter these reported deaths and negative “events” the AMA has released its 2021 propaganda guide for doctors.

When you have to massage the message release propaganda guidelines you know you are losing the argument.

Via The NOQReport:
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • The Winter 2021 “AMA COVID-19 Guide: Background/Messaging on Vaccines, Vaccine Clinical Trials & Combatting Vaccine Misinformation,” issued by the American Medical Association raises serious questions about the AMA’s adherence to transparency, honesty, ethics and the moral standards to which it will hold its members
  • The guide lists nine “key messages” the AMA wants doctors to focus on when communicating about COVID-19. This includes stressing the importance of eliminating nonmedical vaccine exemptions, the importance of flu vaccines and COVID shots, and expressing confidence in vaccine development
  • In the guide, the AMA instructs doctors on how to disinform the public using psychological and linguistic tools. This includes explicit instructions on which words to swap for other more narrative-affirming choices
  • Word swaps include changing “hospitalization rates” to “deaths,” two terms that are not even remotely interchangeable
  • Swapping the term “Operation Warp Speed” for “standard process” is another rather egregious misdirection. The two are not interchangeable. In fact, they’re diametrically opposed to one another
The Winter 2021 “AMA COVID-19 Guide: Background/Messaging on Vaccines, Vaccine Clinical Trials & Combatting Vaccine Misinformation,”1 issued by the American Medical Association (AMA) raises serious questions about the AMA’s adherence to transparency, honesty, ethics and the moral standards to which it will hold its members.

The AMA was founded in 1847 and is the largest professional association and lobbying group of physicians and medical students in the U.S. According to the AMA itself, its mission is to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health.
How then do they explain this “COVID-19 messaging guide,” which explicitly teaches doctors how to deceive their patients and the media when asked tough questions about COVID-19, treatment options and COVID shots?
AMA Teaches Doctors How to Deceive
“It is critical that physicians and patients have confidence in the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines as they become available for public use,” the “AMA COVID-19 Guide” states, adding:2

“To overcome vaccine hesitancy and ensure widespread vaccine acceptance among all demographic groups, physicians and the broader public health community must continue working to build trust in vaccine safety and efficacy, especially in marginalized and minoritized communities with historically well-founded mistrust in medical institutions.”

Indeed, the entire guide is aimed at teaching doctors how to foster confidence in the medical profession in general, as it pertains to treatment of COVID-19, but in particular as it pertains to the experimental COVID shots.

The guide provides “suggested narratives” for various engagements, such as when communicating on social media, as sell as “talking points to guide external communications,” such as when being interviewed. It lists nine specific “key messages” that they want doctors to focus on when communicating about COVID-19.
These key messages can be summarized as follows:
  • Express confidence in vaccine development
  • Stress the importance of vaccines
  • Highlight the need to combat the spread of vaccine misinformation
  • Adhere to updated ethical guidance for physicians and medical personnel, which says they have a moral obligation to get vaccinated themselves
  • Give general vaccine recommendations, such as the recommendation for everyone over the age of 6 months, including pregnant women, to get an annual flu shot
  • Stress the importance of eliminating nonmedical vaccine exemptions
  • Highlight the increased availability of flu vaccines, and the importance of getting a flu shot even if you’ve gotten a COVID injection
  • Highlight the importance of including minorities, both in vaccine trials and as trusted messengers who can “promote social pressure” to get minorities vaccinated and dispel historical distrust in medical institutions
  • Denounce scientific analyses “predicated on personal opinions, anecdote and political ideologies”

The CEO of pharmaceutical giant Moderna says that even younger people will have to get vaccine booster shots at least once every three years, meaning that a two-tier society which punishes the unvaccinated could remain in place indefinitely.

According to Stephane Bancel, the pandemic will continue for at least another year, at which point there will be enough vaccine doses “so that everyone on this Earth can be vaccinated.”

This includes jabs for infants and booster shots for those who require them.

“Those who don’t get vaccinated will immunize themselves naturally because the Delta variant is so contagious,” said Bancel, although he went on to assert that such people would still get ill.

“You can either get vaccinated and have a good winter. Or you don’t do it and risk getting sick and possibly even ending up in hospital,” said the Moderna CEO.

Bancel says life will return to normal “in a year,” but that this will be dependent on people continuing to receive regular COVID-19 booster jabs.

The CEO said older and vulnerable people would “undoubtedly” need refresher shots at least once a year, while even younger people who face an infinitesimal chance of dying from the virus will need booster shots every three years.

Israel has already signaled that vaccine passports will incorporate mandatory proof of an individual having received booster shots.

This means that those hoping to ride out the pandemic while remaining unvaccinated, with all freedoms returned next year, may actually face a permanent bio-security police state which keeps them under de facto lockdown forever.

Those who for whatever reason refuse to take their booster jabs will also face discrimination when it comes to travel and basic lifestyle activities in many countries.

Despite Bancel’s insistence that the entire planet will have been offered a vaccine within a year, according to Amnesty International, “Moderna has not yet delivered a single vaccine dose to a low-income country.”

Vanderbilt: Researchers discover 'ultra-potent' antibody against COVID & variants

Vanderbilt University Medical Center says technology it developed has led to the discovery of an “ultra-potent” monoclonal antibody against COVID-19 and variants, including delta.

VUMC made the announcement Wednesday, saying the antibody can neutralize against SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind COVID-19. The research was published in "Cell Reports" earlier this month.

Researchers explain the technology behind the discovery is called LIBRA-seq, or Linking B-cell Receptor to Antigen Specificity through sequencing. It helped speed up the discovery.

“This is one way to proactively build a repertoire of potential therapeutics” against future outbreaks, said Ivelin Georgiev, PhD, director of the Vanderbilt Program in Computational Microbiology and Immunology and associate director of the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation. “The pathogens keep evolving, and we’re basically playing catch-up."

Georgiev says this antibody has "uncommon genetic and structural characteristics" that are different from other antibodies used to treat COVID-19. The thought is that SARS-CoV-2 will be less likely to mutate to escape an antibody it hasn’t “seen” before.

LIBRA-seq was developed by 2019 by Ian Setliff, PhD, a former graduate student in Georgiev’s lab who now works in the biotechnology industry, and by Andrea Shiakolas, a current Vanderbilt graduate student.

North Carolina Hospital System Suspends Hundreds Of Employees After COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 06:20 PM
Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times,

A North Carolina health care system said it suspended hundreds of its employees after the firm implemented a COVID-19 vaccine mandate, adding that workers who refuse to get vaccinated after five days will be fired.
“Beginning this week, approximately 375 team members—across 15 hospitals, 800 clinics and hundreds of outpatient facilities—have been confirmed to be non-compliant and are not able to report to work,” stated a press release from Novant Health, which is based in North Carolina but operates in other states.
“They will have an opportunity to comply over a five day, unpaid suspension period,” the release said.
“If a team member remains non-compliant after this suspension period, he or she will have their employment with Novant Health terminated.”

The firm then claimed that about 98.5 percent of its workforce are compliant with the policy, meaning they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Workers who started a two-dose vaccine series have until Oct. 15 to get the second shot, Novant said.

Employees who have an exemption are required to get weekly COVID-19 testing, as well as wear N95 masks and eye protection, it added.

In a similar move, 125 workers with Indiana University Health, the biggest hospital system in the state, parted ways with the company, according to a news release issued last week. Those workers, it said, did not comply with the firm’s vaccine mandate.
“Indiana University Health has put the safety and well-being of patients and team members first by requiring employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Sept. 1,” the company said in a Sept. 16 statement. “After a two-week unpaid suspension period ending Sept. 14, a total of 125 employees, the equivalent of 61 full-time employees, chose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and have left the organization.”
It comes as President Joe Biden on Sept. 9 announced he would direct the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to penalize companies with 100 or more employees if they do not comply with his administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Under the mandate, details of which have not been released, private-sector workers would have to either get the COVID-19 vaccine or submit to weekly testing.

The president also said he would mandate that all health care workers who are employed at facilities that receive Medicaid or Medicare funding get vaccinated.

Republican leaders, as well as some union bosses, have criticized Biden for the announcement and said it’s tantamount to federal overreach. Some governors and state attorneys general have threatened to file lawsuits against the mandate.

Corona Wars: Biden's Battle For Total Control

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 05:00 PM
Authored by Buck Sexton via AmericanConsequences.com,

Biden’s Authoritarian COVID-19 Battle
We are entering a new and even more politically toxic phase of the pandemic. The initial promises of the vaccine campaign – it will allow for an end of masking, never be forced upon those who don’t want it, and herd immunity will not require everyone to get the shot – have been abandoned. Not only that, but those at the top of the government and health bureaucracy have adopted a tone that is hostile to anyone who remains hesitant to get a COVID vaccine.

The growing spasm over unconstitutional overreach from the Biden team has been building for months. President Joe Biden’s biggest pitch to the American people, other than him immediately abandoning his promise of “unity” across party lines, was to be his handling of the pandemic.

Despite the Biden White House’s endless repetition of their “follow the science” mantra, the summer of 2021 was much worse for COVID than any of their so-called experts expected.

Cases over Labor Day weekend across the U.S. were up almost 300% from the same weekend 12 months ago. There were around 40,000 daily cases in the U.S. in mid-September 2020, and there are close to 150,000 new cases a day in the same period of 2021.

Crushing our Freedoms
This is not “crushing the virus” as Biden promised us. That around 200 million Americans have received at least one vaccine shot, and the virus is spreading even more rapidly now than it was in the same month a year ago, has caused considerable alarm. And with that, the political animus between the vaccinated and unvaccinated has only grown… The Biden White House and the Democrat Party have decided to use the force of government to make that hostility even worse.

Of course, the people in charge of our response have found someone to blame: the unvaccinated. “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” Joe Biden said in his recent speech announcing federal mandates. “And your refusal has cost all of us,” he added. The ominous tones were followed with various promises to punish the non-compliant.

It didn’t have to be this way… For one thing, less than a year ago President Biden told the country that he didn’t agree with imposing a vaccine mandate. And now, as of September 2021, Biden has completely gone back on that and ordered a series of sweeping mandates that will make all federal and 100 million private-sector employees get the shot or lose their jobs.

This is pretty close to the nuclear option of government pandemic countermeasures. It will have enormous ramifications for the future of the country, not just when it comes to public health issues, but to the very core of the Constitution and the relationship between citizen and state.

What is the constitutional justification for this? If the federal government can mandate that all private businesses with more than 100 employees must vaccinate their staff (or get them weekly testing, which is meant to be onerous and ruinously expensive), then what can’t Washington, D.C. mandate? What’s the point of the 10th Amendment, and the plenary powers delegated to the states? If for reasons of pure politics, the federal government can, via administrative fiat instead of going through Congress, make such an order on a health matter, could they take similar action about climate change or gun confiscation?

In our standard political discourse, polemicists abuse terms like “tyranny” and “authoritarian” – but this has more than a whiff of both. The top-down decision from the Executive Branch of the federal government to use the Labor Department as the implementation arm of a health policy dictatorship shows that, in the era of COVID, the Democrat Party no longer views the separation of powers as any meaningful impediment to its preferred health policies.

The Biden Mandate
In fact, in his September 9 speech outlining the new plan to get the virus under control, President Biden made clear his intent to steamroll any states’ rights opposition…

If they will not help, if those governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way. The Department of Education has already begun to take legal action against states undermining protection that local school officials have ordered. Any teacher or school official whose pay is withheld for doing the right thing will have that pay restored by the federal government, 100 percent. I promise you, I will have your back.

Get them out of the way, Biden said, in a line that seemed to tell the American people more than he intended about the lack of limits on his power. During the early months of the pandemic in 2020, the same voices who are backing Biden’s authoritarian maneuvers now were claiming that – with stronger legal backing – state governors have extensive plenary powers to deal with health emergencies, including some mandatory quarantine practices.

Now that some states – most notably Florida, though Texas has begun to mirror the pro-freedom approach of Governor Ron DeSantis – refuse to do the Biden administration’s bidding on COVID policy, the federal bureaucracy steps in as an unconstitutional super-legislature. On the school masks mandate issue, in particular, the Democrat-Fauciite position has become: We will find a way to have it our way.

Biden’s September 9 declaration of COVID total war had no shortage of ire directed toward those who have thus far made the choice not to get the vaccine, one they had been previously told they were legally and ethically entitled to make. That has suddenly changed. Biden made it clear that the unvaxxed are public health enemy No. 1…

We still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot. And to make matters worse, there are elected officials actively working to undermine the fight against COVID-19.

Instead of encouraging people to get vaccinated and mask up, they are ordering mobile morgues for the unvaccinated dying from COVID in our communities. This is totally unacceptable.

As many commentators have pointed out, Biden seemed to be much more agitated with Americans who have chosen not to get a COVID vaccine than he ever was toward the Taliban during his chaotic, incompetent withdrawal plan. This parading of partisan animus is unsettling, to say the least, as it is meant to convey a message to American people (or at least the Biden voters among them) that anyone who is unvaccinated is a reckless, selfish menace to public health.

But there’s cognitive dissonance at the heart of this thinking from Biden and his supporters.

First of all, when one breaks down the demographic data, the highest proportion of eligible but unvaccinated individuals in America is young Black and Latino males, who have received at least one shot at 43% and 48%, respectively. While there’s certainly a group within those categories of Republicans and Trump voters, the data tells us that most young minority males are not MAGA-hat-wearing, anti-vax Right-wingers… But the Democrat narrative ignores this reality.

After months of extraordinary gains, the U.S. stock market is now looking off. Investors worldwide now ask, “Is this the beginning of the end of the most epic stock rally in history?” All eyes are on September 28 for the answers. Here’s the entire story.

In fact, the Biden view of vaccine hesitancy is that white male, Right-wing individuals who refuse to get the vaccine are bad people who don’t care about the science. However, racial minorities are an entirely different matter when it comes to vaccine hesitancy. Dr. Fauci, Biden, and the whole COVID apparatus of control constantly make excuses around “access” issues for minorities who choose not to get the shot. We are supposed to ignore the politics of this and the fact that more than 90% of African American voters cast their ballots for Democrats in the 2020 election.

There’s also the inexcusable, inexplicable absence of any policy or even mention of naturally acquired immunity. Americans who have had COVID-19, and the most current estimates say that around 100 million of them have beaten the virus, are likely the most immunologically protected of anyone. That Biden, his chief henchman of the biosecurity state Dr. Fauci, and the rest of the control apparatus refuse publicly acknowledging this scientific reality is further evidence of the intense politicization at work.

The Power-Drunk Variant
People are, understandably, very angry in America about what the country has gone through.

We have lost more than 650,000 Americans to the novel coronavirus, and we’ve also lost a tremendous amount of freedom, spent trillions of dollars of public money, and continue to suffer through a period of tremendous anxiety.

But instead of trying to unite and heal the country, the most powerful voices in the government and bureaucracy have decided to scapegoat disfavored political groups.

And that, in essence, is where we find ourselves now: the fight over total control. The national response to COVID in America has been an abject failure, based on the promises the experts made and the concessions they demanded of us. Perhaps it was never going to be any different in this country, regardless of the collective response to a highly contagious virus. But we will never be allowed to figure that out, or even have the discussion. There’s too much government power and intellectual vanity at stake for the elites.

And so we are forced to get the shot, mask up, “social distance,” and suffer whatever ineffective indignities our government overlords can conjure to pretend they are protecting us from COVID. It will not be enough for them to silence dissent – they will demand everyone participate in and celebrate their new authoritarian health regime. Biden isn’t even trying to hide it anymore.

CDC Panel Approves Pfizer Boosters For Older Americans Despite More Pushback

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 04:12 PM

Update (1622ET): ACIP has also approved boosters for people aged 18-49 with underlying issues. This vote was 9-6.
  • CDC ACIP BACKS BOOSTER FOR 18-49 WITH UNDERLYING CONDITIONS
The next vote should define "at-risk" occupations.

* * *
Update (1600ET): Despite some disagreement about the necessity of booster shots (which we also saw at the FDA panel''s meeting late last week), the CDC's advisory panel has voted 15-0 and 13-2 to approve authorization for booster jabs for people over 65, and immuno-compromised adults between the ages of 50 to 64.

As the CDC's advisory panel prepared to vote on their final set of guidelines for Pfizer booster jabs, some members of the panel have raised more objections to authorizing booster jabs, though they're not the same objections shared by members of the FDA's advisory panel.

Members worried that the pandemic would likely be prolonged no matter what thanks to vaccine holdouts. In fact, with so many Americans refusing to get the jab, using booster shots would be tantamount to slapping lipstick on a pig.
“My concern is that we’re just going to keep give booster doses to the vaccinated as different variants come onto the scene, and we’re not going to be able to move forward in truly mitigating the pandemic,” Lynn Bahta, a member of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices from the Minnesota Department of Health, said.
During the meeting, which started earlier, none of the ACIP panelists spoke against recommending boosters for senior citizens, and debate focused on whether a third shot is warranted for younger people at high-risk of severe Covid and if so, how to target them.

With more than 30% of the population refusing the jab, "it feels like we are putting lipstick on hogs," said Helen Talbot of Vanderbilt University. "This is not going to solve the pandemic."

One participant noted that the data supporting boosters, including real-world evidence from Israel, have relied on shorter term follow-up, meaning the data isn't very credible. But at the very least, one Israeli study has shown that natural immunity is more than 13x more resilient than artificial inoculation.

Per CNBC, the vote is still a "a win for President Joe Biden, whose administration has said it wants to give booster shots to all eligible Americans 16 and older as early as this week. While the CDC panel’s recommendation doesn’t give the Biden administration everything it wanted, boosters will still be on the way for millions of Americans."

While CNBC may have actually reported that, from what we remember, President Biden initially pushed for boosters for the entire adult population, which provoked a backlash in the scientific community who argued there wasn't enough evidence to approve the boosters, and that they would be put to better use in emerging economies.

The panel - officially, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, or ACIP - has a few more votes to get through, including on whether to extend boosters to other groups including at-risk workers.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky visited the panel earlier and acknowledged that while the data wasn't "perfect", "they do offer guidance" about whether to make a decision, she said.

* * *
Last night, the FDA - as expected - authorized the emergency use of booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA jab for patients over the age of 65, the immuno-compromised, and the occupationally vulnerable.

Now, it's the CDC's turn. The panel is preparing to wrap up a two-day meeting on Wednesday, where it is deliberating a more specific set of guidelines regarding the booster jab and who will initially be eligible, and when.

Before we get into specifics, it's worth noting that after the first day of discussion, some of the advisors were so befuddled by the rationale for boosters that they suggested putting off the CDC's decision for a month to wait for more evidence. Such a decision would probably have driven the Biden Administration crazy.

According to the AP, "the uncertainties were yet another reminder that the science surrounding boosters is more complicated than the Biden administration suggested when the president and his top aides rolled out their plan at the White House last month."

On Wednesday, "the CDC panelists heard a series of presentations Wednesday outlining the knotty state of science on boosters. On one hand, the COVID-19 vaccines continue to offer strong protection against severe illness, hospitalization and death. On the other hand, there are signs of more low-grade infections among the vaccinated as immunity wanes."

Ultimately, the function of the CDC panel is to "refine exactly who will be eligible" as Politico put it. For the booster jab, the focus will be on defining who's at "high risk". The discussions are expected to conclude Thursday afternoon.

Politico has five key takeaways from day one, and what to expect on day two (text courtesy of Politico):
The goals of vaccination might be changing:
Data from the large clinical trials used to authorize Covid-19 vaccines in the United States suggested they offered strong protection against even mild infection, raising hopes that the shots would confer so-called sterilizing immunity — preventing vaccinated people from spreading the virus.
But over time, scientists have realized that the vaccines' ability to ward off mild infection is waning, although protection against severe disease and death remains strong overall.
CDC panel member Sarah Long, a pediatrics professor at Drexel University's College of Medicine, urged her colleagues to differentiate between ensuring the vaccines prevent hospitalizations versus all infection.

"I don't think there's any hope that a vaccine, such as the ones we have, will prevent infection after the first maybe couple of weeks that you have those extraordinary immediate responses," she said.
The elderly show the clearest need for boosters at this point:
Antibodies from vaccination decrease over time among all age groups. But vaccine recipients 80 and older develop lower levels of neutralizing antibodies post-vaccination than younger adults do, said Natalie Thornburg, a respiratory virus immunology specialist at the CDC.

That means that older people's antibodies may drop to undetectable levels faster, at which point their memory immune cells play a larger role in protecting them against Covid-19. But older people also may produce fewer memory cells than younger people whose immune systems are stronger — suggesting that older people would benefit from a third vaccine dose.

Ruth Link-Gelles of the U.S. Public Health Service said current data shows significant drops in the efficacy of both the Pfizer and Moderna shots in people 65 and older in the time the Delta variant has dominated the domestic infection landscape.

But Thornburg cautioned against viewing vaccines' protection as an on-off switch.

"Immunity is not simply a binary" in which individuals are either protected or not against the coronavirus, she said. Most people are able to maintain some level of cellular immunity, which is likely enough to protect vaccine recipients from severe disease even after antibody levels drop off.
Nursing-home residents face special risks, even with a boost
Boosters may not be enough to fully protect residents of nursing homes, according to modeling data presented by Rachel Slayton of the U.S. Public Health Service. While boosters may help reduce the number of cases in long-term care facilities, she said, that depends on their inherent efficacy and on the vaccination coverage among facility staff.

High community transmission will likely lead to more infections in nursing homes because staff can more easily import the virus, Slayton said. It's unclear whether booster doses could help curb transmission of the virus among vaccinated individuals.

Experts are worried about confusing the public
Members of the CDC's vaccine advisory committee expressed concerns Wednesday about green-lighting boosters from one brand over others with authorized Covid vaccines available to Americans, noting the potential for public perception and logistical issues. The panel is tasked with recommending to the CDC how the FDA's vaccine policy should be implemented in real-world settings.

Long suggested that the group wait for more information on so-called mix-and-match doses — the ability to vaccinate someone with one brand's primary series with the option for a different manufacturer's booster later — before signing off on just the Pfizer booster, asking “whether we’re willing to panic half the recipients of Moderna."

“I don’t want to jeopardize anyone," she said of delaying a booster decision. "At the same time, it’ll be very, very difficult to have a little less than half of the population who would be eligible to receive" a booster if people can only get the brand that matches their initial series.

Moderna has asked FDA to authorize its booster shot, and Johnson & Johnson has begun submitting booster data to the agency with an eye to filing an application.

Amanda Cohn of the CDC urged committee members to consider the recommendations they're making now as "interim policies" that will change as more data surfaces. The National Institutes of Health is conducting a study on mixing vaccine doses, with results expected later this year.

"This is a rapidly moving target," she said.

The booster rollout could be messy
Still, there are a number of challenges to approving only one brand's vaccine for boosting.

Immunocompromised Americans have already been permitted to seek out third doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines because of concerns they may not have mounted a sufficient immune response to the first two shots. While they've been told they can receive the other brand's shot if they can't access the one they initially got, FDA isn't expected to allow mixing brands for people outside that category, which could sow further confusion.

More than 98 percent of Americans participating in a CDC safety monitoring program who have gotten additional doses stuck with the same brand they originally received.

But it's unclear how many of those studied actually fell under the CDC's definition of immunocompromised since patients only have to attest to their eligibility — no doctor's note required — meaning there are few obstacles keeping people interested in boosters from acquiring them, anyway.

Declining to allow mixing Pfizer and Moderna doses beyond the immunocompromised could make administering boosters in long-term care facilities difficult if residents received different brands, said Molly Howell, an immunization program manager at the North Dakota Department of Health.

“I don’t know that it’s realistic to keep going back with different brands," she said.
* * *
Ironically, the deliberations on the booster jabs are happening during the slowest week for first-dose vaccinations since July (despite NY's mandate looming on Monday).

Remember, all of the deliberation so far have focused on the Pfizer jab. Regulators will decide on boosters for people who have received the Moderna or J&J jabs in the coming weeks. One thing we already know: Pfizer boosters won't be recommended for patients who received a different brand the first time around (though exceptions to this have already and will likely continue to be made).

Federal Workers Sue Biden Over Vaccine Mandate

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 03:40 PM

As the FDA bucks President Biden's booster jab push, a group of federal workers and contractors are suing President Biden to try and stop his sweeping federal vaccine mandate, according to media reports.

The lawsuit, filed in Washington Thursday, challenges President Joe Biden's executive edict requiring all federal workers and contractors to be vaccinated, alongside the August memorandum requiring members of the military to be vaccinated to protect against COVID.

Biden has opposed offering honorable discharges for soldiers who are vaccine objectors.

Among the arguments made in the lawsuit, lawyers claim that Christians are required "to refuse a medical intervention, including vaccination, if his or her informed conscience comes to this sure judgment".

The federal workers aren't the only group suing Biden over the mandate. The RNC has said it plans to sue Biden over the vaccine mandates, with RNC head Ronna McDaniel arguing the mandates are "unconstitutional", and that Biden had promised not to impose mandates when he was elected.
"Joe Biden told Americans when he was elected that he would not impose vaccine mandates. He lied. Now small businesses, workers, and families across the country will pay the price," she said.
"Like many Americans, I am pro-vaccine and anti-mandate," she said. "Many small businesses and workers do not have the money or legal resources to fight Biden's unconstitutional actions and authoritarian decrees, but when his decree goes into effect, the RNC will sue the administration to protect Americans and their liberties."
Other prominent Republican officials have also threatened to sue, with Arizona becoming the first state to sue Biden over the mandate earlier this month. Americans' resistance to the vaccine has frustrated the White House, which has struggled to get the latest delta-driven COVID wave under control.

Biden Pushing For Dishonourable Discharges, Court Martials For Troops Who Refuse Vaccines

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 01:33 PM
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

The Biden administration is pushing for dishonourable discharges and even court martialing for troops who disobey orders to get COVID vaccines.

GOP Representative Mark Green of Tennessee proposed an amendment this week to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would prohibit “any discharge but honorable” for troops who refuse vaccines.

The White House responded with a statement noting “The Administration strongly opposes section 716,” reasoning that it would “detract from readiness and limit a commander’s options for enforcing good order and discipline when a Service member fails to obey a lawful order to receive a vaccination.”

The statement added “To enable a uniformed force to fight with discipline, commanders must have the ability to give orders and take appropriate disciplinary measures.”

Responding to the statement, Rep. Green said “I am appalled that the Biden Administration is trying to remove my amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that prevents anything but an honorable discharge for service members who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine.”

Green added “This was a bipartisan amendment — every Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee agreed to it.”

“No American who raises their hand to serve our Nation should be punished for making a highly personal medical decision,” Green previously urged.

Another section of the bill, 720, proposes that troops who have previously had COVID-19 should be exempted from a vaccine mandate. The Biden administration also opposes it, claiming it creates “a new and overly broad exemption from the vaccination requirement for previous infection that would undermine the effectiveness of the requirement.”

The House is expected to vote on the NDAA early Thursday morning.

As we have previously noted, there has been significant resistance to vaccine mandates among military service members.

Tucker Carlson revealed Monday that a bizarre presentation was given to troops sardonically ridiculing vaccine mandates with links to satanism, as the military pushes mandates, even for elite navy SEALS who have had the virus and have natural immunity.

Do The 'Global Managers' Really Want The Pandemic To End?

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 12:00 AM
Authored by Brian Jones via TheAmericanConservative.com,

Early treatment of symptoms is the last remaining enemy of the global Covid consensus...

In his March 17, 2020, article in Stat, Stanford epidemiologist Dr. John Ioannidis argued for a vast reconsideration of the societal response to the emerging SARS-COV-2 pandemic, commonly called Covid-19.

For unknown reasons, the scientific and medical tradition forming the foundation for how to respond to pandemics was being quickly disbanded. Abandoning such previously established traditions entailed filling the void with the appearance of a new global consensus: The combination of unending non-pharmaceutical interventions (masks, social distancing, etc.) and universal vaccination was the key that would end the pandemic.

The totalizing power of this new global pandemic consensus has certainly been effective over the last year and a half. However, the last month and a half has brought about a palatable instability to this apparently once-certain agreement.

As one writer observes,
Until now, Corona policy in every western country has unfolded more or less according to the same script, devised by the World Health Organization at the end of February 2020. The final act was supposed to be the wide-scale eradication of Corona after mass vaccination. It is now clear that this will never happen. For the first time since March 2020, there is no obvious international consensus on the way forward.
The global political and health managers of Western nations and their media allies increasingly seem uncertain as to where to go next. Lurking behind the uncertainty of how to respond to the variants, however, is the last remaining consensus. And while it is the last remaining consensus, it has been a little-known, yet real, part of the script from the beginning. It is as simple as it is all-encompassing: Use every available means possible to assault early treatment of the virus.

Consider one of the latest displays of this charade.

Many have now seen, or heard about, the American podcaster Joe Rogan’s recent experience with Covid-19. After recognizing some of the common symptoms of Covid-19, Rogan decided to “throw the kitchen sink at it.” Following the insights offered by Dr. Peter McCullough and his multi-drug treatment protocol, Rogan pursued infusion of monoclonal antibodies. Along with antibody infusion, Rogan took a cocktail that consisted of ivermectin, Azithromyicin, the corticosteriod Predinsone, and high doses of vitamin D (through drip line). Within 72 hours after beginning the treatment regimen, Rogan declared that he felt great, and had practically recovered from the virus.

We would not have needed the gift of prophecy to have predicted what followed: The Covid machine was deployed to attack Rogan. The inspiration for the assault has been helped by a recent tweet from the FDA, which read: “You are not a horse. You are not a cow.
Seriously, y’all. Stop it.” Moving on from its initial onslaught against the effective early use of hydroxychloroquine, the global consensus has now overwhelmingly shifted its ire to ivermectin.

Coinciding with the attack on Rogan was a supposed news story from Rolling Stone, which claimed that access to emergency care for gunshot victims at an Oklahoma hospital was threatened due to the number of patients who had been poisoned by overdosing on ivermectin. The hospital offered a clarification that denied the claims, which had been made by a former employee. And yet, only updates have been added; thus far, the story has not been retracted.

This widespread jettisoning of the principle and effectiveness of preventative and early treatment has been described as “therapeutic nihilism.” Nearly two years into this pandemic, getting early treatment for Covid-19 that can prevent hospitalization and death is still extremely difficult. Continued attempts to undermine early treatment protocols, as well as frequented campaigns against those who are skeptical of the prevailing narrative, give the impression that certain interested parties are hesitant to bring the pandemic to an end.

The global managers writing and executing the Covid script are using it to manipulate the populace. I am reminded of the Polish philosopher and statesman Ryszard Legutko’s 2016 book The Demon in Democracy: Totalitarian Temptations in Free Societies. Following the collapse of totalitarianism regimes in 1989, Legutko began noticing something that was as confusing as it was unsettling. Supporters of communism appeared to find a somewhat comfortable home in liberal democratic societies. In an attempt to parse out and understand this political phenomenon, Legutko came to realize some shared similarities between the principles of communism and modern liberal democratic regimes:
Communism and liberal democracy proved to be all-unifying entities compelling their followers how to think, what to do, how to evaluate events, what to dream, and what language to use. They both had their orthodoxies and their models of an ideal citizen. [Emphasis added]
What Legutko’s diagnosis reveals is that the global response to the pandemic has been utilized to accelerate the conditions whereby rigorous and independent thinking may be snuffed out. The pandemic seems to have accelerated the project of Western nations transmuting into large, mechanizing systems oriented towards uniformity of thought and practice.

Here is Stanford’s Ioannidis commenting upon this disturbing integration of rapidly declining transparency and collectivism:
The retraction of a highly visible hydroxychloroquine paper from the The Lancet was a startling example: A lack of sharing and openness allowed a top medical journal to publish an article in which 671 hospitals allegedly contributed data that did not exist, and no one noticed this outright fabrication before publication. The New England Journal of Medicine, another top medical journal, managed to publish a similar paper; many scientists continue to heavily cite it long after its retraction.
Such a situation reveals the emptiness of supposed concerns about “evidence.” Abused tropes such as “follow the science” are revealing themselves to be nefarious power grabs seeking to destroy nuance. “Good” citizens should not even consider the possibility of calling into question the prevailing narrative regarding Covid. More specifically, it is anathema to even fathom the thought that preventative and early treatment should be a fundamental pillar of the response to a pandemic.

As the consensus equating vaccination with the elimination of the virus continues to weaken, Ioannidis’s original prediction continues to be persuasive: The response to SARS-COV-2 will eventually be seen as a “once in a century evidence fiasco.” But the citizens of Western nations must think critically for themselves if the coils of the Covid machine have a chance of being loosened.

Exclusive — Anthony Fauci, Rochelle Walensky Meeting Raises Question of ‘Outside Influences’ on Federal Vaccine Mandate

A meeting in March with Dr. Anthony Fauci and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky raises questions of “outside influences” regarding President Joe Biden’s federal vaccine mandate, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

Breitbart News obtained a draft of the “Principals Meeting on COVID-19 Response” on March 22, which Walensky and Fauci attended, as well as other members involved in the Joe Biden administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Americans for Public Trust (APT) received the document through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request through the Department of Education.

The meeting details how “principals,” which would appear to include Fauci and Walensky, “will consider the following core principles outlining the Federal approach to verification developed by Deputies.” The principles include “no Federal Mandate” for vaccines, and “No Federal [Vaccine] Credentials.” The document reads on page 24:
  1. No Federal Mandate. There will be no Federal mandate (statute or regulation) for vaccines or vaccine credentials. The Federal government may require credentials for its own operations and activities, such as international port-of-entry checks or workplace safety for Federal employees.
  2. No Federal Credentials. There will be no Federally-created or -issued vaccine credentials or vaccine credential solutions for universal use across the country (i.e., no Federal database of individual vaccine records and no Federal vaccine “passports”).
Instead of instituting a federal vaccine mandate, the draft memo notes that principals, will “review a proposed approach to vaccination verification that promotes private-sector development verification tools that meet USG-identified guidelines.”

The memo continues, “Under the proposed approach, the Federal government neither develop the proof of vaccination and vaccination verification tools, nor mandate a single technological standard.”

The high-ranking officials’ affirmation that they would not pursue a federal vaccine mandate in March serves as a stark contrast between Biden’s announcement last week that they would establish a federal vaccine mandate for government employees, federal contractors, and corporations with over 100 employees.

Biden appeared to tease a federal vaccine mandate in late July, saying he would like to see it “move in that direction:”

During his announcement on September 9 on why he would institute the widespread vaccination mandates, Biden said, “This is not about freedom or personal choice.”

“It’s about protecting yourself and those around you,” he added.

The 46th president also lectured unvaccinated Americans for refusing to take the vaccine.
“We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” Biden said.

When asked by CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins why the Biden administration instituted a federal vaccine mandate after saying they would not, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the administration did not “anticipate” there would be such “opposition” to the vaccines:

Caitlin Sutherland, the executive director of the Americans for Public Trust (APT), told Breitbart News in an interview Wednesday that even though the document obtained by Breitbart News is in draft form, it shows that government health officials “put in writing an emphatic no vaccine mandate policy.” Sutherland said:
We would like to know, potentially what outside influences may have changed this guidance because as you know, we already know that DC was influenced and even threatened by teachers’ unions on school reopening and mask guidance. I think we deserve answers on whether or not there are outside forces behind this, again, another change in guidance from the administration.
Fox News reported in September that the CDC appeared to tighten its mask guidance in schools after receiving threats from the National Education Association (NEA), one of the country’s most powerful teachers’ unions.

The report led to Republicans such as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, and Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, demanding an investigation into the teachers’ unions “influence” on the CDC guidelines.

She said this document raises questions about what might have influenced the draft change from the March document and September’s vaccine mandate.

Sutherland said that the APT has been “diligently” requesting documents from the Biden administration, which has revealed that the administration’s public policies are “often contrary to what is presented to the public.”

Australian Government Shuts Down Melbourne Construction Sites Amid Protests Over Vaccine Mandates

THURSDAY, SEP 23, 2021 - 09:00 PM
By Jennifer Goodman of Construction Dive,

Construction sites in and around Melbourne, Australia, have been shut down for two weeks after hundreds of construction workers and other protestors gathered Monday at the site of a union building, throwing bottles and damaging equipment.

They were protesting the Victorian government's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for construction workers that begins Thursday.

Riot police used rubber bullets and pepper spray to disperse crowds, the BBC reported, and the headquarters building for the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union was damaged. Several people were arrested.

The union released a statement saying it condemned the protests and the "mindless acts of violence" perpetrated by members of the crowd. The statement said that many protesters were not construction workers but members of neo-Nazi and other right-wing extremist groups.

"It is clear that a minority of those who participated were actual union members," it said.

Protests continued on Tuesday in Melbourne, with the crowd growing into the thousands and encompassing anti-vaccine activists and other types of workers.

Up to 2,000 protesters descended into the city's central business district, according to The New York Times, which also reported that protesters threw bottles at the police and set off flares, while officers in riot gear fired rubber bullets and used pepper spray.

Worker protests began last week when "tea rooms" where tradespeople congregate during breaks were shut down amid the rising delta surge and the government banned workers from consuming food or drink indoors. That prompted construction workers to take their lunch breaks outside in protest.

They set up tables and plastic chairs in multiple intersections in central Melbourne, blocking roads and holding up traffic, according to NPR.

Public health measures
Following the protests, construction and state officials announced that jobsites in Melbourne and other areas in the region will be closed for at least two weeks beginning Tuesday. It cited Monday's unrest and the increase in COVID-19 cases in the building and construction industry as the reasons.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said that multiple outbreaks — as high as 13% of all cases, according to local media reports — have been linked to construction sites.

Construction has been among the few industries that have largely stayed open throughout the pandemic in Victoria.

"Construction workers are a mobile workforce who may work across multiple sites and travel longer distances to work than other permitted workers," Andrews said in a statement.

"Concerns have also been raised, and remain, about the sector's compliance with public health measures and directions."

Minister for Industrial Relations Tim Pallas was even more forceful, saying that his office has seen widespread non-compliance across the industry.

"We've been clear: if you don't follow the rules, we won't hesitate to take action," he said in the statement.

Workers will be required to show proof of at least one vaccine dose when sites reopen on Oct. 5, he added.

YouTube promises pullback on COVID censorship after mass deplatforming of public meetings
St. Louis County Council is dumping YouTube completely after four removals in less than two months.

Updated: September 23, 2021 - 11:48pm

Speaking your mind about COVID-19 policies at a public meeting can trigger YouTube into holding your local government hostage until it deplatforms your voice.

The Google-owned video platform removed an Illinois school board meeting for "medical misinformation," the latest example of tech giants policing what is permissible to say on the ever-evolving debate over pandemic research, restrictions and treatments.

Springfield District 186 said it assumed YouTube objected to the public comment portion of the June 21 meeting, according to The Center Square. As a result, board president Anthony Mares said its YouTube videos will exclude public comments going forward.

A parent in the district claimed partial credit for the removal, citing his own public comment.

Ryan Jugan said that "witnessing censorship, suppression of medical professionals, science and data is appalling.”

District spokesperson Bree Hankins told Just the News it never got specifics on the purported misinformation in the video and that YouTube denied the district's appeal.

While YouTube said it restored the video following The Center Square report — conducting a third review prompted by the media organization — Hankins said the company has yet to inform the district the video has been reinstated.

The video platform has a contentious history with COVID-19 contrarians, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. It pulled down a healthcare roundtable he hosted with former White House COVID advisor Scott Atlas, Harvard Medical School's Martin Kulldorff, Stanford Med's Jay Bhattacharya and Oxford's Sunetra Gupta. DeSantis defiantly hosted another.

Reclaim the Net, which tracks digital censorship, shared several similar incidents that involve public meetings upon request.

The St. Louis County Council is dumping YouTube completely after four removals in less than two months due to public comments against mask and vaccine mandates.

It has successfully appealed four removals, including the Sept. 14 meeting, but the county is tired of dealing with YouTube's censorship, information technology director Charles Henderson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It's planning to sign a contract with BoxCast.

Bellingham and Vancouver, Washington; Shawnee Mission, Kansas; and suburban Chicago are just a few of the locales nationwide where YouTube has punished government bodies for public comment. It has even squelched debate on masks in schools in the New Jersey Senate.

Some takedowns are short-lived, but they seem uniformly opaque, with local governments saying YouTube refused to tell them what it considers misinformation.

Multiple videos for Livingston County, Mich. — at least one of which had no known COVID comments — were only reinstated last week after WXYZ asked YouTube what was wrong with them. "I don't think it is a coincidence that we got that email [from YouTube] right before you and I met," Commissioner Wes Nakagiri told the local station.

YouTube claims to penalize content that clashes with World Health Organization guidance, yet WHO officially opposes masking children under 5 and sets several qualifiers for masking children 6-11 — conditions ignored in one-size-fits-all mask policies in schools nationwide.

The video sharing platform has been giving the same explanation to media outlets, including Just the News, for its takedowns and evolving perspective toward public meetings where the public is expected to hold their leaders accountable.

"While we have clear policies to remove harmful COVID-19 misinformation, we also recognize the importance of organizations like school districts and city councils using YouTube to share recordings of open public forums, even when comments at those forums may violate our policies," spokesperson Elena Hernandez wrote in an email.

"We continuously update our policies, and as we saw more and more videos of school board or town halls meetings [sic] being removed, we decided to create exceptions for open public forums, where the intention isn't to promote misinformation," she said.

A year ago, the company disclosed its so-called EDSA exception for content that violates YouTube standards but has "educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic" context. Examples include depictions of bullying in anti-bullying campaigns and slurs used in a comedy roast with a willing target.

But it subjected purported misinformation about the novel coronavirus to a higher threshold for EDSA exceptions until more recently, when YouTube saw a glut of public meetings removed.

Content won't be pulled now as long as the "overall video doesn't aim to promote misinformation," includes "countervailing views from local health authorities" or is intended to "condemn, dispute, or satirize" purported misinformation.

Hernandez didn't answer when the EDSA guidelines were updated to go easier on COVID disputes in public meetings, or explain why so many videos get pulled, fail appeal, and then get reinstated only after media attention, if the guidelines are so clear, as with Springfield District 186.

Controversy continues over proposed COVID mandates in that Illinois area, according to The State Journal-Register. A group of mothers dubbing themselves the "Constitutional Crusaders" is pushing the school board to reject a resolution in favor of adding COVID vaccines to the state-mandated schedule of immunization requirements.

An Illinois lawmaker isn't taking YouTube's promise to pull back as gospel.

Last week, state Rep. Chris Miller introduced H.B. 4145, which would grant Illinois residents a private right of action against social media websites with at least 75 million users for a minimum $75,000 "per purposeful deletion or censorship" of religious or political speech.

It applies whether the decision is made by human or algorithm, including actions that "disfavor" such speech, and excludes "hate speech" as a defense for removal. Censorship of school board meetings is "an example of where they could have a vehicle to push back against the censorship of their thoughts," Miller told The Center Square.

Is The Worst Over? Models Predict A Steady Decline In COVID Cases Through March

September 22, 20214:45 AM ET

gettyimages-1235127971-6e4cf72d65d486f5e765832eb2ab72ae27f15445-s1100-c50.jpg

The pandemic appears to have peaked or be on the verge of peaking, with cases projected to slowly decline this fall and winter. As recently as Sept. 8, people were waiting at COVID-19 testing site in Kentucky, where over 4,000 new cases were confirmed that day.

Americans may be able to breathe a tentative sigh of relief soon, according to researchers studying the trajectory of the pandemic.

The delta surge appears to be peaking nationally, and cases and deaths will likely decline steadily now through the spring without a significant winter surge, according to a new analysis shared with NPR by a consortium of researchers advising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

For its latest update, which it released Wednesday, the COVID-19 Scenario Modeling Hub combined nine different mathematical models from different research groups to get an outlook for the pandemic for the next six months.

"Any of us who have been following this closely, given what happened with delta, are going to be really cautious about too much optimism," says Justin Lessler at the University of North Carolina, who helps run the hub. "But I do think that the trajectory is towards improvement for most of the country," he says.

The modelers developed four potential scenarios, taking into account whether or not childhood vaccinations take off and whether a more infectious new variant should emerge.

The most likely scenario, says Lessler, is that children do get vaccinated and no super-spreading variant emerges. In that case, the combo model forecasts that new infections would slowly, but fairly continuously, drop from about 140,000 today now to about 9,000 a day by March.

Deaths from COVID-19 would fall from about 1,500 a day now to fewer than 100 a day by March 2022.

That's around the level U.S. cases and deaths were in late March 2020 when the pandemic just started to flare up in the U.S. and better than things looked early this summer when many thought the pandemic was waning.

And this scenario projects that there will be no winter surge, though Lessler cautions that there is uncertainty in the models and a "moderate" surge is still theoretically possible.

There's wide range of uncertainty in the models, he notes, and it's plausible, though very unlikely, that cases could continue to rise to as many as 232,000 per day before starting to decline.

"We have to be cautious because the virus has shown us time and time again that new variants or people loosening up on how careful they're being can lead things to come roaring back," Lessler warns.

William Hanage, an epidemiologist at Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health, notes there is a fair amount of uncertainty in the models. "I would be concerned about interpreting these in an overly optimistic fashion for the country as a whole," he says.

He agrees that overall the pandemic will be "comparatively under control by March," but says "there could be a number of bumps in the road."

Last winter, the worst surge of the pandemic in the U.S. hit midwinter when weather was cold and more people spent time indoors. "If you look at the seasonal dynamics of coronaviruses, they usually peak in early January. And in fact, last year we saw a peak like that with SARS-CoV-2," he says.

Both Hanage and Lessler note that there will be regional variation with some states continuing to surge for possibly a few weeks. Essentially, things could still get worse in some places before they get better.

Lessler says he is especially worried about Pennsylvania, for example, and he notes that in some Western states like Idaho and Utah, there's a risk of resurgence. Hanage notes that places with cold winter weather may be susceptible to some increase in cases later in the year.

And hospitals are going to continue to get flooded with patients for a while before infections taper off, and many are already being pushed past the breaking point.
Where Are Hospitals Overwhelmed By COVID-19 Patients? Look Up Your State

Another caveat: This scenario assumes that the U.S. doesn't get hit with a new variant that's even more contagious than delta. If it does, a bleaker scenario from the Modeling Hub projects far worse numbers: just below 50,000 cases a day by next March. But Lessler emphasizes this is very hypothetical.

He's hopeful that the most optimistic scenario is the most likely.

"I think a lot of people have been tending to think that with this surge, it just is never going to get better. And so maybe I just need to stop worrying about it and take risks. But I think these projections show us there is a light at the end of the tunnel," he says.

Lessler thinks that at this point there's enough immunity in this country from a combination of enough people getting vaccinated and enough people having been exposed to the virus.

"The biggest driver is immunity," he explains. "We've seen really big delta waves. The virus has eaten up the susceptible people. So there are less people out there to infect." The virus is still fighting back, he says, but "immunity always wins out eventually."

But transmission is still very high and will remain so for a while, so precautions are still called for until new infections come down to moderate levels.

Natalie Dean, an assistant professor of biostatistics at Emory University, notes that even though we may see a decline this fall, we will still see "a lot of cases and deaths."

Getting everyone who is eligible vaccinated is still key to preventing further deaths. Even in this optimistic scenario, the U.S. is projected to reach a cumulative total of more than 780,000 deaths by March.

Modeling is an imprecise science, but the Modeling Hub brings together many of the the top disease modelers around the country, doing their best to look far down the road and make sense of a very unpredictable, complicated pandemic that's thrown one curve ball after another.

"I hope it's true, obviously, but I can't shake a little unease I have about what could be coming," says Dean.

So like many Americans, Dean is keeping her fingers crossed.

COVID will end up resembling common cold by spring next year, leading experts say

Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert and Sir John Bell have both said coronavirus will eventually cause illness which are as mild as a common cold, playing down fears of a more deadly variant and adding the UK "is over the worst".

COVID-19 will eventually be like a cold, leading experts have said.

Professor Sir John Bell, regius professor of medicine at Oxford University, said the virus could resemble the common cold by spring next year as people's immunity to the virus is boosted by vaccines and exposure.

Those who are double vaccinated then fall ill, even with mild cases, will help strengthen herd immunity, Sir John said

He added the country "is over the worst" and things "should be fine" once winter has passed, adding that there was continued exposure to the virus even in people who are vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Moderna's chief executive Stéphane Bancel also said on Monday that the coronavirus pandemic could be over in a year as increased vaccine production ensures global supplies.

It comes the day after Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, whose work helped to develop the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, said viruses tend to become weaker as they spread around.

Asked about her comments on Times Radio, Sir John said: "If you look at the trajectory we're on, we're a lot better off than we were six months ago.
